I got around and motivated myself to post the first chapter. I did a heavy rewrite of the original story I once started 4 years ago. Only once chapter is posted right now, but the others will soon follow. Currently editing the second chapter and that will be posted by the end of the week hopefully.

soooo how would each of your ocs in modern world react playing "Flappy Bird" game?
Yel‘s stuck in a "just one more try loop“ with a dash of "that’s not how birds work“ and the occasional dropping of bird-facts on the side while he plays. Someone please take the phone away from him
Red should not be approached. Enter the danger zone at your own risk. She really wants to see Mario at the end…and gets their soul crushed when he’s not actually there. _ orz
Mage ragequits but it’s more of a (💢ಠ v ಠ) than anything…unless he has to see that cursed bird ever again. Then it’s death and destruction like with Red
Deniz and Violet are high score buddies, though they’re the only ones who can actually put the phone away. Deniz is more into building type games than 2-min arcade minigames, so he quits after a short while (My man needs projects to work on for a game to stick). Violets here to break the others records and fuel her competitive streak, but doesn’t play it on her own otherwise.

I couldn't help but notice that among so many obscene fantasies with Thranduil, I missed seeing something else like in a Mordern UA, Thranduil is the boss of the large company in which Tauriel is promoted and can't help but think about how his bastard and annoying boss It's sexy. Even in the Thranduil x reader interaction, I've been missing this obvious and sexy theme hehe Maybe I will, but I want to be a reader now, anyone?

Theres no trope i hate more then how mordern fantasy cartoons have a whole episode which has its basis be just “im not like OTHER fantasy cartoons im META!!11!!!” As if their show isnt already filled with a billon other tropes
Like no owl house, not having luz be a choosen one does not make you “revolutionary and brillant” your whole basis is just “outcast kid discovers new strange world and gets a magical parent figure”
No she-ra not having things like dragons does not make you “a smart mature show” when you had adora , glimmer & bow become best friends in five seconds & a litreal catgirl along with a damn MERMAID & ALCORN

One Piece Mordern Gym Au (Part 21)
Zoro ended up taking the bus home with Sanji. They made sure to find his bike beforehand and place it somewhere it could stay until the next day without getting towed by the police. Sanji even offered to come along the next day to help Zoro find it again - which earned him a playful shove.
“You ever gonna tell me how you can afford to live here?” Zoro wanted to know when they waited for the elevator.
“It’s my fathers,” Sanji mumbled, staring straight ahead at the metal doors.
“Oh, he must be generous to let you live here.”
“Yeah, something like that…or more like hush money…”
Zoro physically felt the mood shift, and he thought feverishly about how to turn it around again.
“I…”
“Then again. I can do things like buying expensive meals for my dates, so it’s not entirely bad,” Sanji grinned at him, but the smile never reached his eyes.
“If it’s gonna hurt your father, we can do this every day. I won't complain about it,” Zoro smiled back, trying to make the best out of the situation.
“You can’t eat that much, believe me.”
“Ha! Is that a challenge? We can try it sometime. I’m happily proving you wrong. Ah and we could invite Luffy. I swear he’s a black hole when it comes to food!”
And now Sanji was laughing genuinely and relaxed again. Zoro smiled as they both stepped into the elevator. The ride up was quiet but comfortable.
“I’m gonna fix the bed for you,” Sanji said as they stepped into his apartment. “Just feel like home, I won’t take long.”
Zoro stopped him with the wave of a hand. “It’s fine, I take the couch.”
“But…I have a perfectly fine guest room. I just have to change the sheets.”
“Curls, you don't have to do that. I actually like sleeping on couches. Just give me a blanket later and I’ll be fine.”
Sanji shrugged. “If you say so.”
His posture eased after Zoro nodded confidently. He walked over to the kitchen and got himself a glass of water and one for Zoro, too.
“What are we doing now?” Zoro wanted to know after downing the water in one go.
“Don’t know…what would you like to do?“
“Hm…”
Zoro thought for a moment if he could be a bit quirky and just say “you” or if it would bother Sanji. He couldn't tell. So he opted for the next best thing.
“Let’s watch some TV?” he asked.
“Sure. Any specific wishes?”
“Na, just put a show on you like. I don't mind much what I’m watching, as long as it’s good.”
Sanji led him over to his couch in front of the big flat screen. While Zoro sat down, Sanji walked to the cupboard beside the TV and opened it.
“What’s the mood? Horror? Science Fiction? Fantasy?” Sanji turned around and with a cheesy smirk. “Love and Romance?”
“Horror?”
“Alright, any wishes?”
Zoro shook his head. He was okay with anything. Sanji went through his DVDs for a moment and pulled one out with a satisfied smile. He put the DVD into the recorder and sat down beside Zoro.
“Blare Witch?” Zoro asked with a raised eyebrow.
A hint of red spread over Sanji’s cheeks at the question.
“Yeah…don’t you like it? I can put another movie on.”
“No,” Zoro grinned and made himself mor comfortable on the couch. “I used to watch that to fall asleep when I was younger. It’s a good movie.”
“To fall asleep? You serious?”
A deep chuckle sounded that made goosebumps appear on Sanji’s arms.
“Yeah. I love the movie, but to stay awake I prefer something with more action…And no, you don't have to switch movies. I can stay awake and if not, just put a blanket over me.”
Zoro laughed through the last part und Sanji shook his head. He settled for a more comfortable position and looked at the TV.
Halfway through the movie, he felt a sudden weight on his shoulder. Turning his head, Sanji saw Zoro’s head lying on it.
“Sleeping already, Moss?”
“Na, just enjoying a good pillow,” Zoro mumbled, smiling up at him. „And almost sleeping…“
„We can turn it off and you can go to bed. I don’t need to watch the whole movie,“ Sanji said, already grabbing the remote.
„It‘s fine. I always sleep better with background noise.“
„Okay.“
It was strangely cute how Zoro snuggled up against Sanji’s side. Knees slightly bend so he would fit on the couch. Head on Sanji’s shoulder, and arms loosely wrapped around himself.
It didn't take long for Zoro to fall asleep. Sanji stayed until then movie was finished and smiled dumbly the whole time. Who would have said that Zoro was so cuddly?
A look to the watch hanging beside the door to his left told him that it was almost half past eleven. A good time to go to bed…not like he could do anything different without waking Zoro.
So he carefully got up and lay Zoro down on the couch. A grunt sounded as he snuggled closer to the backrest. Sanji smiled while grabbing a blanket and covering him up a bit. It wasn't really cold, but he knew his apartment. Soon the heating would turn off for the night and it could get annoyingly cold. He didn't want Zoro to freeze or to get sick.
After checking the kitchen and his supplies to create a decent breakfast, Sanji also went to bed.

In a mordern au what do you think the daughters' favorite movies would be? Personally, I'll never stop saying that Daniela's favorite movie is But I'm A Cheerleader
Ohhh that’s a good question!!
I think Bela would totally be into those dramatic romantic movies that would pull her in. Stuff like The Titanic and The Notebook and you bet she cries during those. She’s a sucker for a good story and bonus of it can get her emotional.
Cassandra loves horror movies even though they scare her but our girl just doesn’t care. She can always sleep with a sister or her mother so she doesn’t think much of it and just give herself a good scare. She loves The Exorcist, and she recommends it to everyone never mind she can never watch it and walk through the Carl’s alone at night by herself. She also loves watching epic fantasy. She loved The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and can never tire of watching them.
Daniela has a different taste than her sisters, she loves watching animated movies. She loves Jack Frost and also Star Wars. She wouldn’t call herself a nerd per say but she knows everything about that saga. She is also a big fan of Jurassic Park, she watched the old movies and the new ones, and she loves them all the same.

Looking for more RP partners on discord!
I don't have many and would love more!
I only RP with other female muns, I prefer to play females as well but willing to play males if doubling.
I am 30 and prefer 25+ for my partners but okay with 21+.
I do not smut but am okay doing romance with fading to black!
I love fantasy, mordern day, horror, thriller, sci-fi darker themes (nothing illegal and all muses 18+) as long as the plot is interesting I'm usually down! I love angst and adding drama to the plots!
Love doing aus but mostly ocxoc or canonxoc
I love sending memes, music, chatting OOC and gushing about our muses.
I write para-novella. The longer the reply's the longer it takes but I try to reply to even long ones at least once a day, the shorter replies I can sometimes rapid fire. 3rd person only and please write at least one paragraph. No script or one liners.

I loveee how you draw clothes! It’s so pretty and into character (both in more fantasy setting but also from more mordern tv shows)!! Do you mind showing your process and how you do it?
omg thank you so so so much!
when it comes to drawing clothing it’s a mash up of silly little ideas in my head and loads and LOADS of inspiration from pinterest and such! it’s hard for me to show my process because usually it’s just adding elements until they make a somewhat cohesive whole 😭

The number 1 thing
That I enjoy the reactions of LOVM newbies
Is the relisation of how incredibly terrifying dragons are
Because YES Dragons ARE Terrifying, Physically, Magically, Intelligence, Ancient creatures of epic proportions
And mordern fantasy in animation and movies don't give them the respect and fear that they deserve

How to write yourself a damn castle- By Hisoka
Alright, so, we all love a good castle don't we? Oh course we do. Their all big and imposing and grand... But how on earth do we go about writting one?
The first step, as with most things, if to sit down and take stock of the situation. I mean this somewhat litterally.
Where is this castle built? Some envierments can stand to have tall, slender towers built on them, others do not like it quite so much.
What materials and techniques did your builders have access to at the time? Did they use local stones or imported? How advanced where their skills? Could they build cool arches and domes and such?
What was the style at the time of building? Did people favor cool arches and domes and such or were they frowed upon? Did people instead prefer hard edges and steep walls? Were they ones to decorate or did they keep it plain? If they did decorate, with what?
All these questions inform the base of your castle. The next is a bit of background in the use of castles.
A big fortified keep could be built for many reasons. Sometimes there was a well travled road someone wanted to tax. Sometimes there was an important position someone wanted to defend. Sometimes the parasite in chief wanted to look cool.
Either way a castle is often a deffensive structure.
A good moat is always advised. A moat can be either dry or wet. A dry moat tends to get filled with garbage among other things, it can also have spikes and such, very usefull. A wet moat is even better becourse it tends to get filled with sewage and illness, great for keeping problems out.
Past that you usually want a set of walls, the outermost being called the curtain walls. They stop problems from getting in and make for a great place to look out for problems in the distance.
Now we get to the fun part, the inside.
A large castle like the ones found in most fantasy stories are often made up of lost of smaller builds within the curtain walls. Towers are usually good bet here since their space efficent and can contain a great deal within, but regular house structures are far from uncommon.
One can expect the kitchen to be castle seperate from the rest of the keep for fire related concerns. Another building usually kept seperate is the Keep, an internal structure ment to house the rich folk. Even if the castle is breeched the Keep has its own walls to keep it safe.
Besides that you need places to house servents and guards and guests, someplace to hold court and to eat, someplace to keep animals, an amoury maybe, a treasurey deffinatly, and whatever else you can think of, really.
Castles are a broad concept that have existed and seen a great deal of uses through a lot of mordern history. If you can come up with a idea for a castle, someone probably also have long before you. Have fun with it :)
-written out for @saki---chan, feel free to ask if you want more detail on anything :)

Imagine the story 'Aftermath reincarnation of a hero'
I think I got this inspiration from Demon Slayer ending, where the story ended with their possible descended that have clearly doppelganger of the slayer just in different personality and role in a 'Mordern Au'.
Imagine a slice-of-life story following a reincarnated hero into a normal family. During their mid time working in a normal family helping the family cafe/random-business-on-the-road as they ongoing to school where they met a reincarnated villain in just a classmate.
Only the viewer can see the slight of flashback, character interaction, fantasy adventure like and eventually comparing to the present.
Spoiler
the hero, MC never got to see their past life because the point of the story all talking about focusing on the future, and beauty of mundane of things just like the Hobbit [I found myself reading, creator of them, hobbit his lifestyle if the anchor that created the global fandom of The lord of the ring/the hobbit creation]
Ghibli beauty for cottagecore like without the magic and stuff...maybe
Story ideas
The hero who have a moment that seemingly similar to the one before; helping a grandma or grabbing a kid out from the fast driving car. Shfit to a scene of helping and getting all the peopel away from the angry dragon
passing by the villain reincarnated in classmate, scene of a villain telling something shook the hero to the core as he walk pass them. Eventually, later in the future they just meet and talk for a bit before walking away/maybe possibly friendship but portray they just have their own life
Moral compass and dilemma

Okay warning I'm a tiny bit biased because I am in love with this game. This is also all my opinions.
I didn't play any of the previous Honkai games and I'm not lost. The lore is really complex and intricate, but I picked it up alright. This may be because I am feral about all lore, but each to their own.
2. Yes, in my opinion. There's also lots of silly dialogue, and the Trailblazer has more personality. You can give them a personality that you pick through the variable dialogue options. Unlike Traveler, who is pretty much 2-D in the sense of wanting to help everyone.
3. There's different types of exploration. Genshin is more world-traveling, and Honkai: Star Rail is a little different. You get achievements for rooting through garbage cans. There's more interactable objects. For example, in Belobog's main story quest, there's an option to observe a wardrobe, and when you observe it, there's a whole mini-story about your fantasies in the wardrobe.
4. Luka is an amputee, and pretty much everyone in Penacony are the gayest people I've ever seen. I think there's implied romance between two guys (marriage I think) in Xianzhou Luofu main story quest (can't say who because it'll spoil the quest). Black Swan and Acheron are also super implied to be canon. Robin is another character with serious queer-coding. Yes, Firefly has a disease but it's kinda like a curse too!
5. YES. THERE IS. I'm so feral about that lore. There are SO MANY secret identity characters!!
6. Sunday and the Order is all I need to say. I believe in Penacony there's quite a few religious themes, specifically revolving around Sunday and Ena (the Order).
7. H:SR is a lot more modern than Genshin, but I really like it. It gives a different aspect to the game that's a bit refreshing to me? There are a few places that are bright and colorful, but it is definitely a lot more mordern.
8. It is turn-based, and there's an auto-battle feature that you can use (most of the time) as well. The fights are a bit harder than Genshin in my opinion, but I enjoy it. It's easier to multitask while you're playing too. You can pause the fight as well. During team lineup, it doesn't matter if you're standing still or have been discovered by the enemy, you can immediately change your team, which is helpful. Also, my favorite thing; every character, no matter four or five star, has a detailed, interesting Ultimate Attack!!
I hope this helps, and if you decide to download Honkai: Star Rail, you have lots of fun!!
Would I enjoy Honkai: Starrail?
So I was just thinking how between Genshin and HSR, it's a shame that I don't see of the dragons being women (Genshin has Apep, but she's not playable and we don't even know what she looks like when she's not covered by a sandstorm so I'm not sure she counts) and then I find out Hsr is getting a new character, Lingsha, and she's a dragon!
Maybe this is what finally convinces me to sign up. But as interesting as the lore is, I'm not convinced. Below are some things I'm concerned about, and would like answers to before I get sucked into another gacha game:
I didn't play Honkai Impact or any of the previous games. I'm vaguely aware of some white-haired (robot? I think?) lady named Kiana who vaguely resembles Genshin's Unkown God and ascends to be some sort of cosmic deity herself. I'm also aware of some red-haired lady who died in some sort of tragic sacrifice, and I think there's an item of hers on display somewhere in hsr as an easter egg. And the Herscherr of the Wind (whatever that is) Wendy, Venti's counterpart, died too. But besides that, I have no context. Without having played previous Honkai games, would I be incredibly lost, even if I got caught up on the limited-time events that I missed?
I've heard Hoyo favors Hsr, and it's better in storytelling: for example, the Trailblazer is more plot-relevant than the Traveler, and unlike Genshin, hsr playable characters are actually standing around the map as npcs, and the player can interact with them, even when there's not some quest that just finished. And that the map feels more alive because of that. Is that true?
I love open-world games. Never before have I played something like Genshin. In a lot of games I'm used to playing, you have to stay on the specific path that's relevant to the main story. You cannot climb on top of that house. You cannot even walk into the forest off the path. Genshin, however, lets you go everywhere. Who cares if it's relevant to the plot? You can climb on top of that house, you can go to the top of that mountain. Most of the time, there's a chest up there or an achievement for making it that high up. I'm told hsr is not like that at all. The Trailblazer can't even jump. Would I still enjoy it? How limited is the exploration exactly?
I also love Genshin's representation of queer and disabled people, both in npcs and in playable characters (admittedly some of it is subtext). There's Arlecchino and Zhongli with their gender fluidity, there's Wanderer with his trans allegory, there's Venti who was described as non binary to the voice actor, there's Lyney and Gorou and Furina and many others who wear a bit of the opposite gender's clothes, there's eimiko and kavetham and beiguang with all of their subtext. There's Dunyarazard and Collei and Baizhu who are chronically ill, there's Chiori and Albedo and Alhaitham who are probably autistic. Etc. I've heard Firefly is disabled (chronically ill with a curse or something?) and I know Ratiorine is a popular ship (I'm attached already). But how close to canon is all that? Are there lots of queer and disabled characters?
I also love secret identities as a trope. My favorite archons are the ones who spend their time pretending to not be archons. I love Kaeya's angst about secretly having been sent as a spy, and Albedo secretly being not-human who may be forced to kill everyone he loves, and how both of them may or may not be scared of the Archon, and yet the archon in question seems to like them. Love that drama. Are there characters with similar Secret Identity drama in hsr?
I love the religious themes and how one theme central to Genshin's story is how gods (and god-adjacent non-human characters) are still people, with flaws and fears and basic social needs. It's sweet. Does hsr have similar themes of divine beings being human at heart?
I also love the escapism of Genshin -it's bright and colorful, both in marketing and in the open-world itself. Also, there's no internet or cell phones or anything. I know that if you pause hsr, whatever character you're currently playing as pulls out their phone. I've heard Penacony compared to the tourist areas of Las Vegas (derogatory). It looks so grey. Is hsr truly so much more grey and modern compared to Genshin? Is it just as escapist?
I feel a similar amount of freedom in Genshin's combat system. I'm told Hsr's system is turn-based, and you the player barely have to press any buttons during those moments. Would I find that fun?
I don't need another gacha game, and I definitely don't have the same amount of time to devote to hsr and I already do genshin. But still, I'm hoping for people to prove my misconceptions wrong.
