The Trophy Hunter
Very proud of this piece and that I finally managed to finish it :) Most of my artworks just need the right time.
I guess my interpretation of 'Ego death' :)

Funny thing a crown can do It makes one think they're better than you They think their circlet makes them God That they won't be burried beneath the sod So remind them with a blade or mace That they lack any divine grace. -ThePoetGoblin (on Twitter)

The Ibadan Forest of Horror:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On March 22, 2014, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, a group of motorcyclists discovered a dilapidated building in the Soka forest while searching for another driver who had disappeared in the area. After locating the structure, the motorcyclists encountered 23 shackled and severely malnourished individuals. A myriad of body parts, personal belongings, and human bodies in various stages of decomposition were also discovered in the surrounding region.
These particular crimes in the forest are thought to have been orchestrated by a nameless crew of ritualists patronized by affluent Nigerians and politicians who use humans for sacrificial purposes. Some survivors stated that the ritualists responsible kidnapped their victims by claiming to be part of the urban renewal initiative operated by the Oyo State government. However, there appears to be no explicit evidence supporting this theory.
Residents of the area claimed that the Oyo State Police declined to investigate the forest despite receiving numerous reports of previous abductions within the state. Some even asserted they had contacted the authorities after hearing awful screams coming from the forest. Despite the claims, the Oyo State Police still had zero interest in investigating the whereabouts of the savages involved with these disturbing activities.
The buildings have since been eradicated, and the federal government redeveloped the area into Oyo State Comprehensive Model School, bringing the community a revived sense of hope for the coming years. To this day, no suspects in connection with the monstrosities found in the Soka forest have been arrested, and the area is still regarded as dangerous to visit.

On my annual summer reread of the Raven Cycle and Maggie Stiefvater needs to chill with these fucking lines.
"what do you want, Adam?’ To feel awake when my eyes are open." "Adam lived in an apartment located above the office of St. Agnes Catholic Church, a fortuitous combination that focused most of the objects of Ronans worship in one downtown block" I am so normal about this series. This series definitely did not fundamentally alter my brain and how I view the world and also how I write. DEFINITELY not.

Still unbelievably annoyed at my good friend Cecil Scott for not actually bothering to know anything about Ferrol when he wrote that story. Literally I feel like Ferrol in the late 1700s is the ideal place to talk about the decline and fall of the Spanish sea empire which I feel like he would love to talk about
