Hmmm… how about “Moonstruck” with Cher and Nic Cage?
- lady is recently engaged to a guy she’s settling for. He doesn’t seem terribly into it either.
- he goes abroad to take care of his ailing mother, tasking her with getting his estranged brother to agree to come to the wedding.
- she goes to find the brother. Dramatic and angry Nic Cage. They fall in love and end up a thing by the time the brother gets back. The brother seems mostly confused and perhaps somewhat relieved.
This might not be a very dramatic one… I’ll try and think of other movies.
“Moonstruck” Anon. I forgot to say whether I think they deserved better or worse. I think what happened in the end was for the best, in this movie, but he might’ve deserved a call or a heads-up or something. Thank you!
No, thank YOU for the first entry

My Mom and her Friends had watched this Movie many times, so I thought why not give Myself a Try of this Movie and well, compare to the Last One RomCom that I watched, this One is rather a Surreal Modern Film that almost feels like "A Midsummer Night's Dream" only a Few People in a Particular Family underneath the Love Curse of the Moon.
Here are Ronny and Loretta underneath the Moon because Love at First Sight brings them Lovestruck (hence, the Movie's Title).
Also, please forgive Me if the Hands that I drew are a bit sucky (since I try to make it look like they're starting to hold each other), I just Suck at Drawing Hands in General.

Moonstruck is one of my favourite movies ever, it's amazing! It's got everything Cher, Nicolas Cage, romantic comedy, and it's easy to see why Cher and Olympia Dukakis won Oscar's for it, but it's criminal that Nicolas Cage didn't even get a nomination! He's great in this movie, Ronny Cammereri is one of the best characters ever, dramatic, romantic, cultured, he bakes! Just...watch Moonstruck, it's amazing!

They really don’t make films like feel good 80s romcoms anymore and that’s so unfortunate omg
