Made a new test comic. This time I'm focused on Arcobella. I wanted to use this as opporunity to develop Moonstone and both cherubs in general. As well as go more in depth about the continent's school system (Particularly Shining Stars Academy.). So I decided ro make this test comic focused on his school days. I'll go more indepth about Shining Star Academy in the next Arcobella/Cherub lore post. So I hope ya'll will be excited for that.

mechanics :

don't actually fucking ask me that but there'd be Some form of new gamemode... one that would make cubes easier to obtain cause girl you're gonna need them

Ended up revising my Starry Siblings Roleswap AU, and while it’s not perfect I’m pretty happy with how the designs turned out! I also have the idea for Moonlight’s equivalent of Fiery Star’s Wrath to be based on a sea serpent but I don’t quite have enough design aspects in mind to fully draw it for the meantime.

Fingers crossed this looks alright since it was hard to see the true contrast between the black and dark blues. But if everything came out alright then that's good news for me! Anyways onto the story behind this, she's a Goddess of the Night with a moonstone horn in the center of her forehead, stardust eyes, silk ribbons adorning her gown to represent moon beams, and dark royal blue hair that defies gravity to represent the push and pull of the ocean waves at night along with the dark unexplored depths below where no light can reach. P.S. I'm borrowing my mom's laptop until we can get mine fixed somehow so I'm making do with what digital art resources I have.

Headcanons: which rings LADS men would use to propose 💍

Now, I'm a married woman, and I made it very clear I want a practical ring that doesn't cost a fortune and that I can wear daily. But that doesn't mean I can't use my own tastes to create silly little what-ifs for MC and her love interests in Love and Deepspace.

I found different types of rings for each of the current 4 LIs based on what we know of them and their relationship to MC. These are *not* based on the rings the player receives in-game for Affinity 100, as I haven't wanted to spoil myself, and because all of us have differing tastes anyway. 😊💕

Minor spoilers of some of their backgrounds/myths.

Xavier

he can't help but think back to the jewelry the ladies of the court used to wear, and what was the acceptable standard for nobility to court their sweethearts with

isn't in a hurry to find the ring, so he takes his time going around different jewelry stores around Linkon city and beyond. He will know which ring is the one once he spots it... at least he thinks so.

The ring should be elegant with a bit of a futuristic flair: e.g moonstone instead of a diamond or stardust/meteorite embedded in the metal. To make it more special he would offer to supply the stardust himself, locating one that would have fallen around the time you two met.

In the end gets a bit too indecisive, goes a bit too much into his own head, and proposes without it. You don't even notice as the romantic proposal under the infinite stars of the Milky Way is enough to take your breath away. The next day he takes you to the jewelry shop where they have a few custom designs waiting for your pick.

Rafayel

Oh the fishie is designing the ring for you himself. He already knows some jewelers through his work and will only settle for the most talented one. He will agonize over the design, until on one of your romantic getaways inspiration strikes and he stays up all night, just about managing to hide the sketch from you before you wake up.

He is very aware of the importance of the ring in human mating rituals, and wants everyone to take notice of it once you start wearing it. Make no mistake, this is a one-of-a-kind art piece with nothing to match its beauty. Just like you.

Howeverrrr he does realize that carrying around a 30k+ ring isn't practical, so he would also get you a matching simpler band with a romantic engraving that you could wear daily.

A design resembling the beauty under the sea, to suit the Sea God's bride. He would go hunting for the suitable gems and/or pearls himself.

Zayne

Zayne is not one to make a big fuss about the proposal, even if he is inwardly maybe even more excited about it than you, and perhaps a bit terrified as well. He knows you don't like to wear anything too extravagant even on your days off, so he would go for more traditional ring.

He first starts paying special attention to your wardrobe and other jewelry to do the ground work. He would do googling in incognito mode to figure out if gold or platinum suits your skin tone better, and he would discreetly leaf through women's magazines in the hospital to see what is currently trending. Once decided he snags one of your rings with him to a jewelry store he trusts to have a good selection, so that the ring will fit properly on the first try.

Diamonds are a classic option, and with a gold or platinum band they go well with almost any outfit you might have. In the end the designs he is most drawn towards resemble flowers. And from a practical standpoint, a row of small diamonds fits under your leather gloves better than a big rock.

Zayne would also be the fiancé/husband to take it upon himself to clean both of your jewelry on a regular basis. Not that you can't do it by yourself, he just wants to look at it and reminisce about the memories linked to it.

Sylus

C'mon. This is a man who bedazzles your *gun* unprompted. It's a given that no expense is spared when getting you THE ring. However, just getting a big diamond is boring as all hell, and he knows that just a platinum ring with a big rock wouldn't be to your tastes either.

Instead of just dropping a million bucks to a famous jeweler, Sylus uses his vast network to find someone relatively unknown, but whose talents are unmatched. And almost as importantly, one who will never reveal the designs to another soul. Not only is it to secure the exclusivity, but also to protect the both of you.

As for the materials, he scours the ends of the earth for the rarest ones: volcanic ash, dinosaur bone, or unknown gemstones from the Deepspace. The process itself is exciting, especially when he gets you involved, relishing in the knowledge of you hunting for the materials for your own ring without realising it.

As much as he would like you to walk around dressed to the nines every day, showing off the ring he paid more than most people pay for a car for, he realises it's not only impractical, but also potentially dangerous if people in Linkon start to question where you got such a gift. So Sylus has a matching, simpler band made that you can wear every day, saving the grander ring for special occasions, and hanging around at his base.

- It takes place in Bambouche! Marble and Reece helping around in Auncle Bonnie's Restaurant and taking classes at the local House!

- Loop traveled alone for a while before ending up in Ka Bue with Odile.

But they do come down to visit every once in a while. That's also how they found out about Mars in the first place actually(/hj)

Odile and Loop just dropped in unannounced one day "Heyy Stardust long time no see! How have you been~ WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?"

- Loop refers to Marble as Moonstone or Moonrock. While Odile just calls her Mars <3

- Siffrin still has his cloak and still wears it all the time. If it ain't broken don't fix it, but his underclothes are designed and made by Isa . Tho Marble will note that the inside of Sif's cloak smells faintly of sugar and cigarettes.

-Loop also smells faintly of sugar.

-Mirabelle used to be the head housemaiden in Dormont! But later left her position to move to Jouvente and later Bambouche with Isa and Sif. Now she works as a teacher at the local House.

Moonstone - The ‘Cook’

[Recently I remembered a Steven Universe spin-off concept that I and a friend worked on in my middle school years(2016-2017) and I decided it would be fun for me to redesign the characters!

Moonstone was the Cook of the Stardust Rebellion, a band of rebel gems on the ship Stardust. He is a gentle giant and speaks rather slowly.

If you read his position and gave pause, you’re not alone. I did too! Why? Because gems don’t need to eat! That is a part of the Steven Universe lore that was established pretty early on that 12 year old me decided to ignore. I decided to keep it, after all it’s an au of sorts and nobody is grading on accuracy.

For Moonstone’s design I didn’t actually have to work incredibly hard. The end result is fairly similar to the original one (just with added complexities). The shorts are exactly the same and the vest is pretty damn close. I decided to go for more of a surfer vibe, whether I achieved it or not is debatable. His original weapon was a bow (it’s very much giving Opal), but if I ever get around to drawing it I will probably have it be a shield.

Some say that when you find yourself in need of advice, there is a spell you can cast to summon a creature who can give you aid. But there is always the same warning: if you accept the help, you will end up caught in a web you can never escape.

“Don’t be foolish, Alastor. I will heal. You should worry more about yourself.”

How could he possibly make it any more clear to her that this was him worrying about himself?

Alastor knelt in the middle of his bedroom floor, listening carefully for any sounds elsewhere in the house. There was no creaking floorboard, no click of a door… nothing but the gentle breeze outside and the soft chirping of frogs in the bayou. He released a breath and reached into his pocket, withdrawing a scrap of paper and squinting at it.

The symbol he had drawn on the floor looked the same. He had precisely arranged the candles, the moonstone, the rose quartz, the labradorite… the spider lilies in the center of the symbol had been woven together just so, and Alastor withdrew his pocket knife, slicing his palm open and making a tight fist over the flowers to allow six drops of blood to fall onto them.

“I’ve paid your price,” Alastor said into the darkness; the blood on the flowers looked black with nothing but the flickering candles illuminating it. He struck a match and tossed it into the lilies, where the fire caught. “Come forth and obey me.”

Quite suddenly, the gently smoldering flowers caught into a conflagration of bright white fire, tinged with pink; Alastor barely had time to push himself back a foot before it abruptly went out and took the light of the candles with it. Alastor’s vision gave out as he was bathed in darkness, and he lowered his hand from his face to peer into the darkness before him. There was a shape there, something that hadn’t been there before; it looked almost human, but perhaps not quite.

“…who’s there?” Alastor asked, prepared to shove himself to his feet to put himself over the stranger.

“Who’s there?” a high tenor voice, thick with a Brooklyn accent, asked incredulously. “Don’t try to make me think you did this by accident, dumbass.”

“What—?!” Alastor’s voice cut off in a soft gasp as he saw eyes open in the dark, staring at him. They were glowing magenta, and there were eight of them, and they all seemed to be staring at him.

The creature made a sound like an amused snort. “Fuck’s sake, you’re a baby.”

Any awe or fear Alastor might have felt evaporated to be replaced with indignation. “I am twenty-five.”

“S’what I said,” the creature said with a shrug, apparently completely unconcerned.

“I called you for a reason,” Alastor said. “If you aren’t going to be helpful, I might as well dismiss you.”

“Okay, okay, calm your tits. So… whaddya want? I can’t do magic, so if that’s what you’re after, you got the wrong demon.”

“No, nothing like that,” Alastor said. He sank back into a crouch on the floor, clenching his fists on his knees. “It’s my mother. She’s sick.”

“…I’m sorry to hear that, but I ain’t a healer neither,” the demon said.

“I’m not— just— shut up,” Alastor said, holding his hand up. “I’m not asking you to heal her. I believe she’s being poisoned, but I can’t find out by whom or any proof that it’s happening, so I can’t do anything about it.”

The demon blinked. “Ohhh,” it said. “And you’re wantin’ me to figure out what’s happenin’ to her, is that it? Want me to kill ‘em too?”

“No. I just want to know who it is.” Alastor narrowed his eyes. “I can kill them myself.”

That gave the demon pause. “…what’s your name?”

“Alastor.”

“Well, Alastor, I can do that for you, but I’m guessin’ you already know it ain’t gonna be free.”

Alastor nodded slowly. “Yes. I’m aware. What do you want, my soul?”

The creature snickered. “Is this information worth your soul to you?”

“Yes.”

His immediate answer, his lack of hesitation, gave the demon pause. It didn’t laugh when it spoke again. “…if you’re offerin’ me your soul, sure. I’ll do it for that. You’d better be positive that’s what you want, though. I ain’t givin’ it back to you.”

Alastor smirked. “I’ll worry about you later on.”

When the demon smiled, Alastor saw a flash of sharp teeth. “Is that so? Ain’t you a feisty one. Gimme your hand so we can shake on it; ain’t a deal otherwise.”

Alastor didn’t relish the thought of touching this demon, but he held his hand out resolutely, waiting. The hand that slipped into his was much different than he expected. It was smaller than he imagined a demon’s hand would be, considerably softer, and so very… delicate. The demon’s other hand cupped the back of Alastor’s, holding him in place without force.

“Well then, Alastor,” the demon said as pale pink light began to surround their hands. He felt another touch, two more hands cupping his face, and jumped as he realized those magenta eyes were suddenly mere inches from him. “My name is Angel Dust. Hope you’re ready for fun, baby, because we’re gonna be seein’ a lot of each other.”
