I haven’t read these books in years WHAT is the angel fetuses. What is happening

LMAO yeah there's actually been three instances where Warrior Cats made fetuses into StarClan characters. We're joking about Moonpaw's absorbed fetus twin (Starpaw/The Voice) meeting with Clear Sky's first dead wife's unborn kids.

The first time they did this was in the last book of DOTC, on Gray Wing's deathbed. Bright Stream, last seen in early pregnancy and being carried off by eagles to be gruesomely eaten alive, shows up accompanied by Tiger Tail and Pale Sky. Her embryos.

Because they show up in this big fanservicey montauge of all DOTC's fridged wives happily living as eternal mothers in StarClan, I sardonically call them the Dead Angel Fetus Children.

(It's dark humor to cope with how much the concept freaks me out)

And with Moonpaw, I have to explain how fusion chimerism works.

There are a few types of chimeras, but when a single individual is created from the combination of two fully fertilized zygotes, that is called fusion chimerism. That's what Moonpaw is.

And you have to understand, we're talking zygotes as in cells. The fusion of haploid gametes. NOT embryos (developing major organs) or fetuses (has major organs). When multiple embryos or fetuses are detected during pregnancy, but one vanishes, that is called Vanishing Twin syndrome (VTS).

There is actually very little linkage between VTS and the chance of a baby being born with fusion chimerism. At best it's an overstated link. At worst, it is a general misconception of Vanishing Twin syndrome.

Fusion Chimeras can happen in a lot of different ways, most of them fertilization errors, very few of them involving the multiple embryos of VTS. Likewise, the vast majority of VTS cases do not result in fusion chimeras. I explained Chimerism in-depth over in this post, and I encourage you to follow my citations to learn more if you're interested.

Sooooo... we're not even talking fetuses for Starpaw and Moonpaw. If they ever were separate, it would have been as embryos at best.

Which means that Moonpaw is haunted by cells that hadn't even developed major organs.

Ergo, we're joking around about how peculiar it is that Supernatural Utero Ghosts have happened thrice.

In my dream world, Sunbeam and Nightheart would have broken up(like it was originally, before the writing team decided that they will become generic couple n 73), Nightheart would be a trans woman, Sunbeam is bi as h*ll but decided to stay single as relationships are not going well for her as in almost all of them(Berryheart, Lightleap, Nightheart and Blazefire), and Frostpaw is a lesbian and is dating Whistlepaw, instead of that creepy *ss promise of Splashtail and her becoming mates when she graduates, Splashtail is actually not an atheist and use Starclan "word" to manipulate Riverclan, by the love of gosh don't get Riverstar here, his super edition already butchered him enough, let Willowshine, Mistystar or Reedwhisker, someone that died recently or have something to do with the plot, not bring a dawn of the clans cameo, i know that he needs to be there for the park, but let other characters shine too! I want to know about the new crossclan relationships, let me know about Shellfur and his girlfriend that i forgot the name of, only one couple that we get developed, but after that Fringewhisker and Spireclaw kinda fade into the background as she get accepted(which is a shame as i really like her). And speaking of the cross clan couples, why Sunbeam needed to be in Thunderclan in the end? There's already a prota in Thunderclan, let her be her own character instead of Nightheart's wife that was previously Shadowclan, i would argue against as Thunderclan needs new blood as there's so much inbreeding, but none of the Thunderclan's cats permantely switch, just cats that came into Thunderclan, and the writing team doesn't seem to give a fuck, as they still let Moonpaw have Firestar appears 4 times in her family tree(and Nightheart thought he was special). And finally, let Squirrelstar shine and make her break up with Brambleclaw, just let go of them, the whole scene he made when he intentionally let Nightheart make a "plan" to sneak into Shadowclan, just so he can yell at Squirrel just sucks(i can remember it wrong, as i read that book a long time ago).

You can disaggre with me, but i guess it's something that is in my mind for a while.

3. Troutshine is cute but getting sick of the Shine names now. Sorry buddy. Your name in WCR is Torrentclaw! Rapidsplash is going to get you sued by Pokémon when they choose to make a divergent kelpie!Rapidash, so to avoid that mess I named them (yes, Them) Rapidstorm.

How long was Sunbeam pregnant? Why are her irrelevant babies only now becoming apprentices, but the cat who was a newborn infant in Star now a mother? Did Sunbeam miscarry? Why is she not tawny anymore?

Why. Is. Floatshimmer (great name) a mother? Why not Brackenpelt? Or Nightsky?or Minnowtail? Or, oops, you're out of cats because while every other clan has a draft, only 1 of you seems to be allowed to bare children.

In this universe Snowfur survives being hit by a car but is barely clinging on and drifts in and out of consciousness. She ends up hearing Thistleclaw verbally abusing her sister and generally hearing some pretty nasty stuff. When she finally recovers Snowfur has a limp and for awhile she can’t perform her normal warrior duties which disappoints Thistleclaw. He begins to avoid her and treats her differently. In fact, his sister Rosetail is more concerned about Snowfur than he is to his own mate.

Snowfur very quickly has enough of his nonsense and they get kitty cat divorced. Thistleclaw has the gall to be surprised and angry about this and to add salt to the wound Rosetail and his own mother chew him out on how poorly he treated his mate and his sister in law.

Snowfur and Rosetail get hitched with Thistleclaw dying unceremoniously offscreen as they raise Whitekit together. They have an litter of two kits sometime after Whitestorm becomes a warrior. Only Rosetail ends up becoming a full time nursery queen for their kits though, since Snowfur never really liked being cooped up in the nursery. 

And now for the kits themselves:

Sweetkit is a nosy little kitten with a yearning for adventure. As a kit, she was always looking for ways to sneak out of camp only to be foiled by either her aunt or moms. She didn’t care much for being in the nursery and couldn't wait to grow up. Once becoming an apprentice though, Sweetpaw realizes she misses her moms affection and that she's not quite ready to grow up just yet. Snowfur and Rosetail reassure her that she's in no hurry to grow up, and that no matter what she’ll always be their bright, feisty little kit. Her warrior name will be Sweetheart.

Moonkit is a seemingly aloof little tom who appears disinterested in everyone and everything. Anyone who knows him though will tell you that is far from the truth, and that he just shows his affection in his own way. When Moonpaw became an apprentice, he was mentored to own mother, Snowfur, which raised an eyebrow for some. Some of the apprentices would tease Moonpaw for being a ‘mamas boy’ to which he would boredly ask as to which one they were referring to. Even if he isn’t affected much by teasing himself, if you say one word about his sister and moms he’ll think of the most creative way to humiliate you and do just that...Its a little scary honestly. His warrior name will be Moonstep.

How's silentwife, aka Loudbelly? Is she funny? A good mom and clanmate? A good wife? Does she make Silentbite laugh and feel safe? Is she kind and fun? I need more info on the cutest wife!

Loudbelly is the only cat Silentbite feels safe to be vulnerable around. He trusts her and it's a trust that was well earned as Loudbelly lovingly and dutifully waited for Silentbite to decide when he was ready to talk about what had happened. I cannot even begin to tell you how much Loudbelly loves Silentbite. Her love for him is unconditional, she's always with her mate. When she thinks about him she'll smile and get giggly. Loudbelly is so in love with and charmed by Silentbite she still gets flustered when he tells her he loves her, Loudbelly realized she was in love with Silentbite when they were apprentices. When Loudpaw was gushing about how excited she was to be a warrior she realized no one was listening to her except Silentpaw, who smiled and told her to keep going. He was the first cat to willingly listen to her talk and didn't tell her to shut up or call her annoying. It really meant a lot to her and ever since then she's been head over paws in love with him.

Loudbelly loves her kits just as much as she loves her mate, she stubbornly refused to sleep when they were born because she wanted to watch over them, secretly scared they'd disappear or that this was all just a dream. She loves to make them laugh and dote over them, but she can be a stern mother when her kits get into trouble or push their luck too far. When Garlicpaw and Moonpaw had ther first battle they sheepishly asked if they could sleep with their mother, still shaken from the fight and of course Loudbelly said yes. Snuggling her kits to her and purring that they were safe.

i think the funniest part about moonpaw's parents being literal first cousins is that they picked the most random fucking pair. bayshine and thriftear??? they've never had a conversation with each other in their lives???? BAYSHINE AND THRIFTEAR??

My tinfoil hat conspiracy is that it's not random. They intentionally pick cats that have popular gay ships, and then emphasize them in a straight pairing. Plumstone and Thriftear were a pretty big one, considering they were small background characters, and now it's sunk.

Leopardstar's Honor retconning and emphasizing her relationship to Frogleap, as well as confirming romantic interest in Tigerstar

Onestar's Confession replacing a major scene from Winds of Change where Firestar saves him from Mudclaw with Whitetail

Blossomfall, often paired with Ivypool, with Thornclaw. Vice versa with Ivypool getting with Fernsong so suddenly.

Hollyleaf and Fallen Leaves. A random ghost boy.

Riverstar's Home giving him a dead wife that he pines over for a significant part of the book, and suddenly giving him a new wife in the last few chapters. Plus retconning his backstory in a way that makes one of his most popular ships (One Eye x Riverstar) canonically impossible.

It could instead be their notorious misogyny, because they cannot allow a female character to go without a love interest (in a boy) and Onestar and Riverstar are just coincidence. Maybe it's just that they wanted to give Ivypool grandkids for her SE and picked Bayshine, who was Nightheart's friend in ASC, because he was the nearest boy.

No one can know for sure, but honestly I'm at the point where I'm not willing to give good faith on this front. The new field guide couldn't even bring itself to describe Ravenpaw and Barley as mates, they're perpetually Dear Friends.

Moonstar’s wife was always meant to have the prefix heather so thx for the suffix!! She’s not the deputy but she is a great warrior with a passion for loving everyone she meets! She used to be a medicine cat apprentice but she transferred to being a warrior apprentice and after meeting a lost and scared Moonpaw, she realized it was the greatest decision she ever made.

• Year - 3: At the age of 7, her sister is born 7/28. Her mother, Karea, dies during childbirth.

• Year 0: Refuses her father’s wishes to train to become a mage as per the family tradition. Starts spending time outside in the forest to get away from her father and the mage academy she is forced to attend.

• Year 4: Her father, Errys, starts taking mana to keep up with the new demands of his job (works as butler to an upperclass family) and to console himself over the loss of his wife. He’s unpredictable, irritable and sometimes violent. Anaca spends more time in the forest with her younger sister. Has befriended a lynx she has named Regina.

• Year 8: At the age of 18, she takes her sister Fenien, and Regina and runs away from home. She heads south toward Tranquillen. Gets a job with the Farstriders.

• Year 15: Regina dies of old age. Anaca holds a funeral.

• Year 22: Battles with the other Farstriders during Arthas’s march towards the Sunwell. Reunites with her sister, who had gone fishing that day for their lunch, after the battle.

• Year 23: Buys a cheap apartment in Silvermoon for Fenien with saved funds. Anaca stays in the Ghostlands as a Farstrider, but has trouble with her job of hunting down the remaining undead in the Dead Scar. Sends her paychecks to her sister for safekeeping.

• Year 26: Leaves the Farstriders when the sin'dorei join the Horde to seek her fortune in Outland. Sends many letters to Fenien who has gotten a job in Silvermoon to work as an arcane entertainer. Anaca has a chance encounter with Dentak in Orgrimmar and they decide to travel to Outland together. They become a somewhat reputable bounty hunter duo. While in pursuit of her last bounty, a demon hunter named Zarashari Moonbane and in the ensuing battle, Anaca looses sight in her right eye. She returns to Silvermoon with Dentak, and decides to retire from the bounty hunter business.

• Year 27: Anaca takes her sister out of Silvermoon and to Orgrimmar to help wean her off her mana addiction. Dentak and Anaca sign up for the Horde army together to fight in Northrend. Dentak lets Fenien live in his new apartment in Orgrimmar while they are gone in Northrend. He is sent to the Borean Tundra while Anaca is sent to Dragonblight. Anaca stays only a short time there as an archer due to her bad eye. During her stay, she befriends a snow fox who she names Moonpaw. She returns to Orgrimmar after three months. Fenien signs her up for Children’s Week to help Anaca get out of the house. She ends up adopting a troll boy named Zulador at the end of the week. Anaca moves herself, Fenien and Zulador with her remaining army stipend to the apartment below to give Dentak his own back.

• Year 28: Anaca does odd jobs around Orgrimmar to help support everyone and pay for the apartment, including fishing in the local Southfury River. She takes a break to visit Ashenvale and befriends a brown grizzly bear and names him Soldar. Anaca also starts teaching herself how to cook. Halfway through the year, she opens up the Flamestar Hunter Academy in Orgrimmar to help make ends meet. Fishing becomes a side hobby instead of a source of income. She teaches Zulador some simple knife throwing and bow and arrow techniques. A distressed Zulador convinces her to buy a live goat before he could be killed by the local butcher. They name him Verril.

• Year 29: With Garrosh’s rise to power, the Flamestars are evicted from their apartment in The Drag. They live briefly in the Valley of Spirits’s inn with the other Darkspear Trolls before heading south to Razor Hill and living there. Anaca moves the Flamestar Hunter Academy with her down to Razor Hill. Anaca refuses to move them back to Silvermoon after Fenien suggests it. Zulador gets a chance to meet his hero Vol'jin when Anaca decides to use her Academy to aid in his rebellion. After Garrosh is defeated, the Flamestars move back into Orgrimmar.

• Year 31: After saving up enough money, Anaca takes Fenien and Zulador on “The Last Trip You’ll Ever Need to Take”, meaning ‘you’ll never need to take another trip again as we’re going to go see the world.’ They travel south down Kalimdor, make a detour into the Valley of the Four Winds and Vale of Eternal Blossoms in Pandaria, go north up through The Eastern Kingdoms, make another detour in Howling Fjord and Grizzly Hills and head home to Orgrimmar. Anaca befriends a white cat with black stripes in Northrend, naming him Milo.

• Year 32: Anaca is invited to Draenor by Dentak to meet with the Frostwolf Clan in Frostfire Ridge. There she learns the ways of a survival hunter and how to fight with a spear in place of a bow and arrow. She spends almost six months with Dentak and the Frostwolf Clan before returning to Azeroth. She commissions a set of daggers from her friend Grenci for Zulador as a present for his 18th birthday next year.

• Year 33: Recruited by the Unseen Path, Anaca journeys to Highmountain to help train new hunters in the fight against the Legion. Travels back and forth constantly between Orgrimmar and Highmountain. She has an encounter with Zarashari in Dalaran, which ends when Anaca decks Z in the face.
