The guild scraped together enough jewel to book a few rooms for the night, and while he probably does not want to know where most of it came from, he's sensible enough to appreciate the reprieve. The inn is modest yet comfortable — especially compared to the creeping chill of the countryside — but he's not yet accustomed to the prospect of showing face without fear of recognition. He's not sure he'll ever be used to it.

He finds comfort in the night sky — the vast and unforgiving nothing that encompasses everything. The stars and their space between always set him back to scale when he feels he is outgrowing his skin. It seems he might not be the only one with a wish to moonbask.

Midnight joins him at the hour of their namesake and returns his cordialities with the expected amount of enthusiasm. Silence fills the air between until they break the sterility to comment, "The look on your face says there's more on your mind."

He’s always been transparent that way. What he doesn’t express through words ends up bleeding through his face, gathering in the worry-worn lines that deepen at the start of each new day. If Macbeth has chosen to mention it, he must look more pathetic than usual.

Half-truths always felt mealy in the mouth, but the whole of it was a mammoth. There was only so much he could chew up and spit out at once.

"Do you mind if I ask where you'll go from here? Or, more precisely, what you'll do?"

I suffer constant psychic damages if my companions don't wear brain-approved outfits in brain-approved colors..

And of course brain-approved "lore accurate" builds and subclasses I agonized over for way too many hours.

I swear I play video games for fun.

Rambling ahead:

Wyll is a lockadin so I could give him any armor but I like him matching with his dad. I picked oath of vengeance as the bit about giving up your own purity felt like a good fit.

Halsin is usually a bear in combat so a lot of his stuff is unarmed and wild shape bonuses. I wish Larian had put the colors of the armor of landfall on the armor of moonbasking though.

Shadowheart is shiny. Her gear is either about healing, or radiant damages. She's still trickery domain though, because I use her illusions a lot in battle. Light and shadow both.

Jaheira's armor is a harper armor I will not change, with a recolored hood and cape to complete the look. She looks more like a rogue than a druid but it suits her as a dual wielding druid/fighter who favors the panther wild shape.

Minsc (not shown) reached 20 strength while keeping his og stats, and multiclassed as a wild heart barbarian (berserker would have been better for the lore, but that's already Karlach's subclass).

Astarion is arcane trickster/bard multiclass with crowd control and has worn a bard armor for the entirety of the game before getting the pimp coat. His gear is otherwise all about poison.

Gale is ... well a wizard. I don't enjoy playing pure magic classes (hence Wyll and Jaheira being the way they are) so I don't use him much in battle. He's here, but I never put much thought into it.

Karlach is a berserker barbarian babe with a crop top. I really wanted her unpredictible explosive nature to translate into gameplay but couldn't find a way.

Lae'zel is an eldritch knight because I wanted more githyanki psionic abilities, and battle master was reserved for Jaheira anyway. She's simply insane in battle.

Temporary armor for Nusha until I can get the Armor of Moonbasking for her. I do love Elven Chainmail though. It's amazing.
