The most adorable Moomin cake for my baby daughter Autumn’s 8th month.

"Yayyyyyyyy it's your birthday Eddy!"

"Sorry I missed it because of my date, but look what I got you!"

She presents him with a covered tray and lifts the lid with a flourish on his kitchen table.

"Ta-da! I made it myself!"

It's a beautifully elaborate cake, but small enough to share for two.

"Oh, the gold foil's edible too. Hurry up and eat it with me since the center's made of ice cream. I made that too of course, hehe!"

Besides that, she stuffs a...plushie into his arms? Except this time it's not some fancy limited edition merch, but a customized, connected plush of Ark and Eiden holding hands.

"This is one of a kind," Mary Sue adds with pride. "I sewed it myself and it's waaaaaay better than any stuff you can get from stores! Look, I even included the special sheen in Ark's irises with special metallic thread!"

Hopefully that makes up for her being a day late! Dates are Serious Business, after all.

" Ahh, more cake huh? It does look great though for real! "

Well, it's better to get it now than yesterday, he might have collapsed on the spot otherwise. Ice cream makes a great change of pace though. And it does look pretty!

The plushie however catches him totally offguard. The seams and the details are all so clean it might as well be an official thing. In hands it feels warm and soft. Eiden's eyes definitely light up there.

" Man I should up my sewing game too, this is so cool!!! You sure got skills...."

He squeezes it tight.

"Thanks a whole bunch! The ice cream sounds great for the weather huh! You mind carrying it, let's eat it with this guy on the table with us haha! There's other treats too if you want to try out--- "

Curly admires the cute outfit you picked out to go to the cafe, complimenting your favorite pokemon you have on your shirt or dress.

He has some pokemon merch of his own- Not only is he wearing a baseball cap with an embroidered pikachu design on it, but he goes "And wait til you see this-" before lifting up the pant leg of his jeans to show you his pokeball themed socks- This man is just too damn silly..!!

He is just as if not more excited to go than you, and he doesn't wanna be late!

You both get pikachu burgers and share a float topped with whipped cream and a cookie shaped like your favorite pokemon!

(Don't imagine him taking a drink and getting whipped cream on his nose. Don't imagine it because it's too cute and you'll die)

Later, you two get separated at the shop and you sneakily buy him a pikachu plushie keychain. You go to surprise him with it when he reveals that he's bought you the exact same one as a surprise too!!

Anya

... takes you to sailor moon cafe..!

You help Anya get dressed for the cafe! You initially picked out little skirts paired with white sweaters and a colored neck scarf to mimic the look of the sailor uniforms. She loves what you picked, but she decides you should both wear leggings underneath the skirts you picked out... the skirts were very short, oops!

You two decide to share a cheesecake, cookie, and milkshake between you both! (She’s a little worried about your sugar intake, starlight..!)

Anya is more than happy to take pictures of you in front of any cool decoration or with other cosplayers you see!

In fact, she's fangirling quite a bit herself!! I think Anya would love shoujo manga, and probably grew up watching sailor moon!

She would make sure to tell you afterward what a fun day you two had together, and how much she appreciates how much you both have in common!

Daisuke

...takes you to kirby cafe!

He has a surprise- he bought you both matching outfits. So now ur dressed like twins. To go to kirby cafe. You each have a pink shirt with your favorite character on it as well as shoes, shorts, and a kirby themed hat that he bought especially for this occasion.

When you arrive, he assures you you can get anything and everything you want off the menu, he has it covered!! Ok rich boy

He takes lots of photos of you both, taking selfies of you both in front of all the themed decor ~ Like, so many selfies (and tiktoks, he has brainrot)

Buys you more kirby merch than you know what to do with...

He likes teasing you and making you laugh with cute messages, so he sends you memes later of the kirby with a big mouth eating everything in sight and captions it "this is how u look eating that cake today"

Jimmy

...is dragged along to Pompom Purin Cafe!

Look, this is not really his idea of a date... you're lucky you're cute.. and really annoying when you beg

Still, he has an outfit picked out for you- you think it's cute how he lays your outfits out for you before you wake up, ready for you to put on in the morning. Secretly, he likes dressing you up like you're his little doll ♡ This time, he chose something on theme- a yellow dress ! You accessorize with a brown beret.

You two get desserts and drinks at the cafe- a pudding of course and a cake. Jimmy gives you whichever dessert you like more ♡ And you both get drinks with a cute character on them ♡

You explain to him who all the little characters are. He doesn't really get it, but he thinks it's really cute how you're taking photos of everything, you're so excited..!

Well, it's cute until you start taking photos of him (Tbh he doesn't really want evidence that he was there!!) He flat out tells you to delete a pic you took of him with a bit of frosting on his face ♡ (Sorry but that one is a keeper..!!)

strawberry shortcake au!

i can't believe i'm actually going to bother you with my recurring hyperfixation, but here we go,folks!

world building:

This Pinescone au is based on the 80s Strawberry Shortcake series. but with some modifications that I made to adapt to the au and the characters and at the same time taking elements from the other reboots

In this version, Strawberryland is a quiet, remote small town where the tiny habitants spend all seasons harvesting their fruits and vegetables. At the pace of the series, there will be no villains, but there will only be simple problems in the town that end well in the end. (like the children's series of those times. Take reference from My Little Pony (the first generations), the Moomins, the Smurfs)

All the habitants are smaller than fruits, each one has their own job or house in a shape of a sweet (like a cake house, etc.). and each inhabitant is characterized by its fruit flavor and aroma. what makes them unique and differentiable

Everyone in Strawberryland has a specific skill in cooking. (For example, Wirt specializes in the sweets served in cafes.)

There are other towns depending on the flavor and taste (a vegetable town, another of flour, another of ice cream) but Strawberryland focuses on fruits.

pinescone headcanons:

They both met like it happens in the 80s series, except that Dipper would get lost trying to find the town and Wirt would offer him a hand. (just look at the damn video and imagine wirt and dipper singing this adorably!. don't tell me this is not a big deal)

2. Wirt runs a coffee shop in the village and lives there. It is his home and his coffee shop at the same time.

3. (NOT DECIDED YET) Dipper being a strawberry his sister Mabel is a blueberry. Together they are the Berry twins (Help I don't know what fruit to give Mabel I'm between blueberry, cherry, raspberry or like the canonical sister in the 80s series "Apple Dumplings". I need help with this part). Mabel specializes in cooking with excessive sugar dishes and is also the town's fashion designer.

4. Mabel forces Dipper to wear the clothes she creates for Dipper. Dipper is embarrassed and frustrated to walk around the town like that. Wirt finds it adorable and cute, and is always curious to know what cute clothes Dipper will wear.

5.Wirt loves cooking for Dipper, it's one of his favorite things because he loves every tender expression of joy that the little strawberry puts on when trying his new and improved desserts.

6.Wirt has the personality of a spoiled and affectionate mother. She loves her friends very much (especially Dipper) and will show her affection through actions.

7.Dipper is considered Wirt's favorite customer at the cafeteria. He sometimes helps him taste his new or improved desserts.

8.They both give each other affectionate nicknames, Dipper is "little strawberry" and Wirt is "orange pie"

9. Dipper doesn't know how to cook, every single thing he cooks burns. It's considered weird not to know how to cook or specialize in a recipe in Strawberryland. But Dipper doesn't care, his true talent is writing. He writes diaries and books and works for the town newspaper (the poor thing has a lot of writer block)

10.Wirt tries to suppress the desire to kiss and pinch those chubby, pink cheeks that the strawberry has. He is so adorable that sometimes he can't control himself.

11. They both like each other, Wirt knows his feelings perfectly while Dipper still doesn't admit it. They both didn't declare themselves for fear of ruining their friendship.

12.Wirt writes music and poetry in his freetime, he shares it with Dipper after closing at night. All his poems and music are dedicated to Dipper but he doesn't realize it yet.

13.Dipper is very absent-minded and clumsy lol

Moomin valentine's chocolate is out! A few days ago I came across the usual shop, but it was closed, and I didn't see any Moomin merch, though I saw other returning brands. So I got worried lol. But turns out they just hadn't finished setting up yet, and now they're officially open.

Of course how could I say no this adorable Moomin & Snufmin Snufkin box (gosh my bias destroyed my ability to type) <3 It's so spring-like! And it's even got bonus Too-ticky decoration!

The chocolate flavors are: bitter caramel, cafe ole, hazel latte, coffee, espresso, gianduja, pistachio, almond, and caramel cashew. A horrible assortment for me, since I hate coffee - even just the smell literally makes me feel ill. But... quite appropriate for Moomins theme haha. Coffee flavor in chocolates doesn't bother me like the drink does, so I can eat them, I'll just be indignantly thinking "why did someone ruin my chocolate with this coffee?"

I bought it for the box obvs :P

And THIS one I just love! Snufkin walking through woods, mushroom hunting I suppose? with a big yellow sun. I bought this same candy last year and they're... fine. I definitely wouldn't bother if they weren't Moomins. But I love the case. At first I didn't take a picture of the inside, because I figured it was the same as last year. But when I opened it, turns out there's these lovely apple trees and hattifatteners! So sorry that I had to take a crappy pic of it with my keyboard in the bg :P

Suomenlinna became to me like a second home during this long and dear job. I joined Samuli in Pekka's big boots to continue composing and playing the music for the TV series from the second season in 2019. A huge investment was made in the music of Moominvalley from the beginning, and the musical language, musical vision, and virtuoso playing that Pekka and Samuli created for the series in the first season had created a strong foundation and identity for the music.

We have a prolific musical history with Samuli, but this job required unprecedented intensity. Brainstorming, composing, arranging, playing, recording, editing, encouraging and mixing seemed to be done simultaneously by him, while still staying on schedule!

Tove's fascinating characters, the series' insightful scripts, and the creative team really inspired and challenged us. Everything was learned and a lot of new things were put to use. With the routines we create to respect and listen to each other, almost anything is bound to happen in the future, when one's resources often start where the other's end.

There were hours of exciting and beloved material to choose from for this album. It felt natural to divide the 107-minute, 44-track album we created into four parts and themes: The Moomin Family, Adventures, Moominvalley and Special Moments.

The album features our trio working on dozens of exciting side instruments in our pursuit of unique sound aesthetics. A big thank you also to the wonderful guest musicians: Jusu Berghäll, Johanna Iivanainen, Tuuli Lindeberg, Atte Kilpeläinen, Jouko Kyhälä, Saima Saari, Verneri Pohjola and Joonas Saartamo.

Pekka: “The music for the Moominvalley series was composed to be played with instruments you would imagine you would find in the moominhouse. A harmonica, a soft-sounding old upright piano, a violin and a mandolin were included from the beginning, as was Samuli’s imaginative arsenal of percussion instruments from pots to a suitcase. When composing for animation, the responsibility of music as an illuminator of the characters’ emotions is great. The work was intense, at times hard, and sleepless nights were inevitable, but the opportunity to play in the world created by Tove Jansson outweighed the challenges.”
