...... you know, I was going to make a Heisenberg joke, and then I looked at my choices and realized that yeah, no, I'm low-key kind of about the villains. 👀 RE8's Hesienberg, Lady D, and my sweet peanuts Donna + Angie, of course. My favorite character from my WIP is even the overarching villain.

It also bleeds into my love of heroes, to no one's surprise. I love a shady hero/love interest á la our boi Arthur, goth king Nahadoth from Jemisin's The Inheritance Trilogy, and moodyboi Hun-Kame from Gods of Jade and Shadow.

-not so preppy. like. come ON. this was the 90s. he was an angsty teen with an abusive dad and stuck in the cycle of destiny he knew he’d never escape no matter how hard he tried and YOURE TELLING ME, he was in PREPPY CLOTHES? absolutely NOT. (please, this is the precursor to moodyboy jones the 3rd we’re talking about; where do you think he got his cynicism and existential dread from?)

his letterman jacket can stay. that’s valid, he worked hard and deserves to wear his pride since god knows school is he only place his achievements are going to be recognized.

white shirt? no. old worn black t-shirt or a band t-shirt

jeans are ripped up, or worn at a minimum.

y’all think his parents are buying him prep clothes instead of alcohol for themselves. NICE TRY

beat converse are okay although i’d rather see a pair of beat up doc martens

he’s a mix of rebel boy teen with popular football star hot shot

-he keeps up to date with the popular music but hands down his own personal preference when he can is deffo the stuff coming out of the seattle grunge scene. it’s raw and angry and frustrated music, he relates to it on a level that no one around him really can.

also imagine him standing on his bed shirtless just in a pair of plaid shorts airguitaring to some alice in chains or nirvana as he screams along the lyrics thx

-smooth? absolutely. cocky? you bet. smug? uh huh. has bitches dropping at his feet in pools of drool? you GOT IT. can turn into your worst nightmare if you cross him wrong? uh, yeah. the dude can pack a punch. he’s scrappy when he needs to be and can stand his ground. life lessons taught at home come out to play more than one may think.

-has good grades. good enough to get him into a decent college, but they’re not perfect. you think he can study at home? as if.

-smokes cigarettes behind the school at lunch before he finds his buddies. he hates that he’s picked up the habit, but it helps keep him sane admidst the chaos of home and school, and most recently the gang. it’s his vice for now, but he swears he’ll stop someday, it’s just to help fill the void. he always heard smoking the bees before harvesting the honey made them calmer.

-stoner for sure. his head won’t drift to the clouds and find peace on its own, he’s not opposed to any help he can. at parties he has a spliff in hand instead of a drink. alcohol has always made him feel sick. it has always left a bad taste that lingers. the burning in his lungs became comforting a while ago, it doesn’t bother him anymore. he was always secretly a little fond of the pain anyways. it reminds him he’s alive.
