I hate when people say “I’m against abortion except for if the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother” every single pregnancy threatens the life of the pregnant person. We’ve gotten too far removed from that, taken for granted that pregnancy is safe. It is not. Pregnancy and puerperal complications have been a fairly common cause of death throughout history. Even now, maternal mortality is on the rise in the US, the maternal mortality rate varies wildly across the states and it is disproportionately higher for Black women. Being pregnant is getting more dangerous, not less dangerous.

Extremely cool that there are multiple active people in this fandom, some with large platforms, who have decided to turn my favorite character into a raging misogynist despite next to zero canon evidence (calling a couple of women who tortured you bitches is not the watertight argument you think it is) and also play it off for laughs because hating women is funny and not a real world problem at all.

The best Wintersberg ship is clearly Karl and Ethan simping over Mia and being her harem.

Ethan "Wifeguy" Winters did not go through the events of RE7 and RE8 for y'all to sit there and say he's a twink in love with a rat man who stabbed him with an entire wrought iron fencepost.

With the amount of Wintersberg shippers saying "it's just a joke!!!" when they write entire essays tearing down women and femme Karl/OC shippers, they should all start taking group comedy classes together.

They clearly need the help to be funny.

Y'all know how Tony Morrison's novels are a little more poetry than prose?

Crow's writing is just on the other side of the line. A sliver more prose than poetry.

It is beautifully written, plain and simple, with such deeply complex characters and a true, deep love for the story.

Go read it.

150 kudos is CRAZY for an x OC fic and I'm feeling kind of insane about it. Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to read my indulgent little piece in spite of my slow upload rate.
