Flopcast episode 598! It’s Halloween season, so we have another terrifying Flopcast for you, starting with some follow-up from last week’s Monster Cereals Taste Test. We received a LOT of feedback (from BOTH of our listeners) on Carmella Creeper, since we were wondering if Carmella is indeed the first female cereal mascot. (This somehow leads to our learning way too much about Wheaties. Sorry.) We also just discovered a new monster cereal spin-off product: Monster Mash Spooky Berry Fruit Snacks! All your favorite cereal monsters (even Frute Brute and Yummy Mummy) are represented in chewy candy form, but we might be too frightened to taste-test them during the podcast. Also: Kevin just got back from Vermont, so we break out our handy Vermont Monster Guide and learn all about the Pigman. Plus: It’s TV Talk Show Host Day. The Pigman doesn’t have his own show yet, but we can dream.

I mixed the General Mills Carmella Creeper Monster Cereal, General Mills Frute Brute Cherry Flavored Monster Cereal, and Cap'nCrunch Halloween Crunch Cereal, with the Silk Unsweet Almond Milk.

This cereal mix was pretty good.

The dry version of this mixed tasted like it had a light caramel. cherry and a vanilla caramel from the Cap'nCrunch taste while also crunchy.

This was sweet but not overly sweet to me.

I tried this with the Silk Unsweet Almond Milk and it was pretty good.

This cereal mix tasted pretty good but still stayed crunchy in both almond milks.

The cereal milk gave the unsweetened almond milk some sweetness that this almond milk needed.

This was sweet but not overly sweet to me.

The milk had a light caramel, a vanilla caramel, and cherry sweet taste.

I would eat this again.

I already reviewed all three of these cereals with both Kroger almond milk before but not mixed together.

I tried the General Mills Carmella Creeper Monster Cereal and it was pretty good.

I tried this cereal dry and this cereal had a nice caramel taste but had a light green apple taste at the end.

This cereal was crunchy with the marshmallow pieces being soft and lightly sweet.

This is the most flavorful monster cereal eaten dry next to Count Chocula while the other fruity cereals had a light fruit taste then fade away.

This cereal was lightly sweet.

I tried this cereal with the Kroger unsweetened almond milk and it was pretty good.

The taste of the cereal in the almond milk tastes like a light caramel apple in taste.

This cereal stayed crunchy in the almond milk which is a good thing but I would let this cereal set to make the cereal a little soggy or soft in texture.

This cereal added back the sweetness the unsweetened almond milk was missing.

This cereal in the almond milk was lightly sweet.

I would rather eat this cereal dry as a snack than with milk.

I would eat this again and mix it with other cereals like Frute Brute.

Got at Kroger.

I'm just glad we finally got a female mascot since most are from a already existing franchise or a generic store brand mascots that are female.

Unless it's those fancy cereals that are heathy for you have female mascots.

The last female mascot was a Kangaroo with a baby in her pouch from the Frosted Flakes before Kellogg's chose Tony the Tiger instead.

I just hope we get more female cereal mascots someday and maybe make a headless horsewoman that is pumpkin spice cereal mascot.
