1. Between 7 and 5, who did you bias first?

Moonbin! Even though I learned about Stray Kids first (I got into kpop about a week before Back Door was released - I didn't know about Astro until March 2021) - Moonbin's always been my #1. Stray Kids... I think my bias order was something like Han > Bang Chan > Felix > Bang Chan > Changbin & Felix

2. Between 2 and 6, who are you more attached to?

Oh... this one's easy... Hwanwoong my beloved I'm so sorry - the answer's obviously Mijoo. I'd take a bullet for her.

3. If you were to spend the day with either 3 or 1, who would you choose and what would you do?

Now this. This question's painful. Part of me wants to say Wonho because it's Wonho, but...

Kei. Probably hang out, go out to eat, and watch horror movies, because - one of my fave fun facts - she loves horror/ghost movies? Which are my absolute fave. Literally would have never guessed looking at her.

4. what is your favorite physical feature about 9?

HAIR! Long hair! His mermaid hair means the world to me.

5. What is your favorite part of 6’s personality?

He's just a silly lil guy! I literally just watched a video where - he wasn't even the focus of it, but he just pops in to bully Leedo. Love him.

6. If you were to tell 8 anything you wanted, what would you tell them?

I'd tell Ryu Sujeong that her music is incredible, phenomenal, some of the best work I've ever heard. I'd tell her to please for the love of god keep making full albums. Love the indie vibe she's going for right now - but I'd kinda want to see if she'd ever go and do something like Tiger Eyes again - so I'd find a way to bring that up.

7. Between 1 and 2, whose closet would you raid?

Love everything Mijoo wears but let's be real I'm not fitting into any of that - so Wonho.

8. What is a style that you want to see 3 try?

THIS IS THEE QUESTION!!! Kei is sooo amazing & super brave because she's tried many styles outside her comfort zone! Like her trouble maker performance on Artistock? Loved that. I don't think she's the best at it - but I'd love to see it again. Honestly I feel like her style jumping is going to be her downfall in Queendom Puzzle - but I'm so pumped for it. Really hoping for another performance like wish you were gay on Queendom 1. I think she'd kill something like that now. I think Kei in a dark concept would just be fun to see - I know she was in the Death Note musical so like... She was styled that way, but it'd be interesting to see her cover Pixy/Dreamcatcher/PinkFantasy or oooh VIXX. Kei VIXX cover when.

9. Between 5 and 4, who are you closer to in height?

Leedo! He's an inch taller than me.

10. Between 10 and 9, whose music do you like the best?

Oh god I have no clue. Monsta X and Onlyoneof both have really big hits & misses for me. I will say I liked Kihyuns solo work more than Junji's.... hi tis cacophony anon! :3 well wasn't it a long week or 4 or 5 :'3 my apologies for that lateness i did take care of myself, met with a friend for a week which was pretty fun and exciting but alas some things simply refuse to wait dhgjdfhks how are you doing? <3 so i did finally listen to xdinary heroes, a few times, and they gave me the same feeling as txt when they debuted: good first album, a sound not quite mature enough yet which is a good thing in my books bc it suits them at this stage and this is a first album not their 6th, and i'm expecting their next three comebacks too see if i like the direction they take and the sound they grow. it worked really well with txt hdghf i'm pretty much of a "wait and see" person when there's not much in their discography yet, and the artists are young. test me was really fun, especially with the "whoo-oo-oo-oo-ah" and the chorus. i really love the pre-chorus, and the last post-chorus. the pre-chorus is my favourite part shgbhd for knock down, if genius isn't lying to me, jungsu's and gaon's voices really got to me. gunil may have had only two lines but damn did they count as they are in the bridge which is my favourite part. also a big fan of multiple voices singing at the same time, even if it's only for na-na-na's. sunker punch!: the calm before the storm of the chorus, a few nearly silences well used before the real silence for the last chorus. love it when silences are effective and ironically what i remember the best of a song. i'm just asking to be hit with music right in the face. strawberry cake: this is a song i expect to grow on me bc it has a lot of the sounds i love, but for some reason the chorus and the bridge don't stick well with me, even if i really like what they did instrumentation-wise i really enjoy pirates with the brass instruments and the "down down down / make you upside down" i would really love for all their instrumentals to be released actually shdbgdgkhsg

i'm glad you enjoyed getting into xh's first album, and now of course their second is out!! i haven't spent nearly as much time with it as i intended (the monsta x brain rot is still going… Very Strong sdkfjksdjf and kihyun's brilliant solo album dropped right before Overload, too), but my favorites right now are ghost, crack in the mirror, and (somewhat to my surprise) X-MAS. back to the first album though-- i actually really, REALLY love the mixes to their "live clip" versions. there's a video for every song on the album, in case you missed it! i was obsessed especially with the knock down live clip back when it aired. the audio clearly has some post editing done, but… idk the vocal production is a lot closer to what they truly sound like live, i imagine, and i really dig them. not sure if they plan to do them for the second album, but i hope they do!! if you haven't seen it, they also have an instrumental band practice vid for knock down here (jun han going wild at 3'39" is an especially beloved moment). i agree it would be fun to get instrumental tracks for all their songs :') they probably have some new fun things rattling around YT for latest album that i've missed, hopefully i can get more caught up now that i'm on school break.

before i forget!! i completely agree about the effectiveness of silences in music <33 they can really take your breath away when done well!

It’d be paranormal, cause lets face it, there’s nothing scary about a maniac in a mask who goes on a killing spree, not to me anyway. (My apologies to those who still think this trope is scary. You do you babes)

From my wild imagination, I’ve brought you this:

For Shownu, he would be the leader, saying “it’s okay. The old abandoned building doesn’t look that haunted” and he will regret saying that when Changkyun gets dragged into the shadows by an unseen force. Tries to keep them all sane, levelheaded, being logical, thinking this isn’t real even though he fears this is their doom. He manages to escape... but how; he does not know.

Minhyuk... the character that tries to keep it cool & collected. He doesn’t want to admit he’s freaked out by the shadows taunting his periphery. Shaken, annoyed and terrified, his mind withers into chaos, taking a fallen piece of wood and running to the figure at the end of the hall, his screaming continues... even as he falls 7 floors down the elevator shaft.

As for Wonho, huge scaredy-cat! Clinging to Jooheon for mental closure and screaming as he crouches down every time he hears haunting whispers in his ears. Crying, he follows Shownu’s every demand but that isn’t enough to keep them together; too afraid, he runs away to find the exit, unable to take any more, but it’s hard when every hallway, room and stairway look. Exactly. The. Same. and he falls into insanities black hole. Forever Lost in his own mind.

Changkyun would admit he doesn’t believe in the supernatural despite his grungy looks. “Ghosts aren’t real. How can something that’s portrayed as a hazy/misty silhouette harm you?” He finds out there are beings beyond our knowledge, capable of wicked intentions when his ankles are grabbed and pulled. He falls flat on his face, blood oozing from his nose and leaving a trail into the darkness, crying for his brothers as he’s dragged away and disappears.

And Kihyun... I feel he would try to be and act sane, even have the building memorized; when they took a left, a right or wandered up the stairwell with gang graffiti. Any ways for a quick escape... yet all of that doesn’t matter. Behind his brothers, something in his head falters and his flashlight quivers in his hold. He doesn’t see the shocked looks on their faces as his eyes roll back and his breathing stops, emiting nothing but choking noises in attempts for breath. He too is taken into the darkness, leaving nothing but his flickering flashlight.

For Jooheon, you know he’s going to be the most afraid. He’d be too busy holding onto Wonho and looking around to see a missing step and he falls to his knees. His wrist is scratched, bleeding down his thumb. The floor is rotten, dirty, and Jooheon can’t stop looking at his arm as if he could feel something inside move around. Fear snaps his already weak mind, separating himself from his brothers and falls against a wall, skin growing cold, picking his wound finding only muscle and bone. Jooheon bleeds out, his mission failing to remove the thing that was never there in the first place.

Hyungwon... he would strongly believe in the paranormal. He warns everyone not to fuck around and to take this seriously. This was only supposed to be a quick trip. He sticks close to Kihyun and Shownu, the trio of “keeping their shit together” until he becomes greatly afraid upon seeing Kihyun’s eyes turn white and his best friend is taken right before his eyes. His heart is broken after loosing everyone, managing to escape with Shownu.

This was so fun to do!!! Sorry it’s long, I did this on my phone! Maybe one days they’ll do something scary~ I hope you enjoy 🖤✨

Since that night, you’ve decided it was best to bury yourself in your work. Staying for a few extra hours and even taking on a few more tasks, work was all that consumed you for the next few weeks as the hard-drive laid untouched on your desk at home. Pale faces and iced over glares still snuck their way into your tired mind every now and then, but you were determined to bury the nightmare-ish feelings deep below everything else. It almost worked. Despite all the warnings and scoldings from friends and co-workers, the satisfaction of falling into a dreamless slumber left your soul at ease. Euphoria, you would call it, for no shadow threatened to disturb you at nightfall. That is, until one particular night.

It was a quiet night. The moon already took its place high amongst the clouds on the dark canvas above. All your hard work that day seeped into your tired bones and made falling asleep look like child’s play. The warmth of your sheets hugged your body as you continued to snooze.

Your fingers twitched as they hovered over the hard-drive. Curiosity bloomed deep within your tired soul. Suddenly, you grabbed the disk and placed it in your laptop.

“Took you long enough.”

You whipped your head around only to meet the dead gaze of the owner of the disk. He cocked an eyebrow, amused by your startled state as he remained perched on the window sill.

“I’m surprised you didn’t look into it earlier given your background,” he commented.

“Wasn’t planning on it since you first scared me the other night,” you retorted as you got up from your seat.

His eyes followed your figure closely. Hesitant steps made their way towards him with careful consideration for the next move. He swung his feet to the floor and popped up, appearing taller than expected now that you stood in front of him.

“Are you here to steal my life or something?”

He scoffed, burying his hands into the large pocket of his worn hoodie while he shook his head in response.

“That’s some way to ask if I’m a ghost.”

“Well, are you one?” you inquired.

The corners of his lips turned downwards before he motioned for you to follow him.

“I’m just a soul that lost his way. Will you help me out?”

Reluctance glued your feet to the floor. Here you were, chatting with a dead spirit that supposedly needs your help now. It made sense for you to jump on the chance since you haven’t been attacked yet. There was also the hard-drive that laid plugged in to your laptop. Sweat coated your palms as you swallowed all the words that sat at the top of your tongue. All you could do was nod and follow him out to the hallway.

“There are things other than me that linger in the dark,” he began. “Desperate things that want to smother the light out of people like you.”

You watched carefully as he raised his hand and rubbed the back of his neck as if some weight were straining the muscles there.

“What do you mean like me?” you inquired.

He hesitated for a moment before he pointed in the direction towards the staircase.

“We all walk a thin line. Some are just lucky to have others there,” he muttered in a hushed tone.

You followed his gaze down the staircase to see him standing there, staring down at his hands which were covered in a familiar red liquid. Your heart froze as you tore your gaze away from the scene.

“Wh-what happened?” You were only met with another hush as he pointed back to the scene.

He took a few steps back to reveal millions of shards from a fallen mirror littering the floor. Lights flickered back and forth as he grabbed a tissue to brush any other shards in his scraped up palms.

“This was one of my biggest mistakes,” he noted. “And one of my last.”

Drip, drip, drip. You watched carefully as the lights suddenly turned off. The only sound filling the spaces in between was just your breath; or at least, you thought it was your breath for the moment. Drip… drip...

“Lim Changkyun,” you murmured.

He turned and turned, a sudden alertness flashed in his eyes as he checked his surroundings. Shadows moved and scurried across the floor. Child-like laughter echoed about.

“Young man who lived in this house a few years ago. Was a lone wolf according to his crew.”

He immediately lunged for the door, only to find that it wasn’t opening. Curses fell like raindrops on a window before he ran out of sight.

“Died just a year ago. Marked down as a cold case.”

A blood curdling shout ripped through the air just as the scene soon dimmed to nothing but darkness. You swallowed the hard lump that suddenly developed in your throat. Everything burned. Your back, your throat, your skin. You weren’t sure if you wanted to cry or scream. No tears welled up in your eyes. Instead, a sudden chill ran down your spine. You knew something was watching you now. Yet, you couldn’t see what was watching you.

“I-I don’t know how, but I, I’m so sorry,” you stuttered.

“The pity party died a long time ago, [Name]. All that’s left are a few unsettled souls,” Changkyun commented as he pulled you away from the staircase. “Keep looking forward. Whatever you do, don’t check what’s behind you.”

Loose floorboards echoed in the background. Chills tickled your skin, causing goosebumps to rise.

“Is there something I can’t see?” you questioned.

Changkyun was silent. He tilted his head slightly as he reached out. You could only stare as his hand inched forward to you, breath becoming short, heart beating faster. Perspiration dotted your hairline just as his hand stopped inches from your face.

“Things you shouldn’t see.”

His hand dropped back to his side, as if in defeat as he stared blankly at you.

“Go back to your room,” he suddenly ordered.

“Wait— you asked me to help you out. To, to move on! Why are you asking me to just go back?”

“Just. Go. Back,” Changkyun repeated. He pulled his hood down, ebony locks falling rather messily across his forehead. “I’m right behind you.”

You pressed your lips together as you tried to read his expression. Once again, it felt like you had ran into another steel wall.

With a sigh of defeat, you began to make your way back to your room. You could sense Changkyun’s presence, oddly, as if he truly was there and not a spirit of the house.

CRASH!!

“What was that?”

“It was just a door,” Changkyun quickly answered. “Like I said, keep moving and don’t look back.”

Your hand unconsciously reached out, groping the air by you. Changkyun took notice and slowly extended his fingers towards you. Another swipe left an odd feeling on your fingertips, causing you to freeze and look down at your now numb hand. He couldn’t comfort you even if he tried his hardest. For he was simply a spirit, maybe even a manifestation of your sleepless imagination. The physical contact you seeked out for comfort couldn’t be satisfied. He was nothing but a lost soul.

“You…” you trailed off. You retracted your hand, watching the sudden bitterness flood Changkyun’s spirit as he remained by your side.

“Keep—“

BANG!

Another door violently shut by itself. Nerves flared and gazes traveled about the hallway.

“Changkyun?”

He shook his head and motioned for you to keep moving. Just out of the corner of your eye—

CRASH—

“Keep going. Just a few more steps. Don’t look behind you—“

BANG!!

You flinched and covered your ears as the eerily familiar laughter resonated. Just a few more steps. Just a few more steps and it’ll be okay, you thought. Panic began to

“Are you there?”

“Don’t listen, [Name]. C’mon, don’t let that fear get to you.”

Changkyun’s voice was fading quickly. Your breath turned into staccato beats. You pressed your hands further against your ears. Your feet dragged you forward, as if the floor suddenly turned into molasses. The door to your room is right there. It’llbeokayit’llbeokayit’llbeokayit’llbeoka—

SLAM!

You collapsed to the floor just as the door slammed shut in front of your face. Tears spilled down your cheeks while screams ripped through the air.

“Changkyun! I can’t!”

Your heart continued to beat louder and louder. You swore your chest would shatter at any moment. Second by second, your choppy breath soon turned into desperate gasps as you tried scooting back as far as you can until your back met the wall. Curses fell from your lips as the shadows loomed over you, cackling, whispering, hissing in your ears. Nothing made coherent sentences. Everything sounded like static. Everything felt like a prick to the skin. The heat on your skin was unbearable.

“Please,” you whimpered,” please just let me go.”

“[Name]!”

Soon enough, darkness consumed you with an unsettling embrace.

You woke up, body bare to the freezing room as your blankets laid thrown across the floor. You immediately sat up and furrowed your eyebrows as you tried to recall last night’s adventure in the dark. Had it truly been a real thing and not a long-drawn out nightmare, you swore you would have been dead by now.

Your hands clenched fistfuls of the sheets. Thoughts crashed and burned within your pounding mind.

“Changkyun!” you gasped.

Your eyes frantically scanned the room only to find that your bedroom window was open. You quickly scrambled to your feet and shuffled across the floor to close the window. Once doing so, you lingered for a moment, fingertips slowly pulling away from the sill. Carefully, you turned and made your way over to your laptop which laid open.

“This file… it’s Changkyun’s case,” you murmured under your breath.

Multiple documents and photographs littered the screen. Basic information to gruesome evidence burned into your mind as you scrolled through the file. In the end, you could only pinch the bridge of your nose to keep your headache from growing. You moved the cursor over the red ‘x,’ hesitant to close the file. A desire to look through the other documents blocked you from clicking away to your relief. Yet, the tug on your conscious begged otherwise and convinced you to click on it. As the file closed, another one popped up next to it.

“This is insane.”

You slammed your laptop closed and buried your face into your hands. Seconds later, your phone vibrated from the corner. You peeled your eyes away from your palms and picked up your phone. An email notification laid unopened in your inbox. Curious, you tapped on it to open it.

The fun has just begun. You failed this time. Six more spirits, six more chances to figure it out. Maybe your reports might help you determine some things?

Ghost Tour Surprise

Synopsis: Y/N takes a haunted tour of historical downtown, meeting a strange, yet handsome passenger along the way.

The night had finally come. The night where she would ride on a tour bus learning about the most haunted parts of the city with a bunch of strangers. Her friends were too chicken to come along with her, preferring to go to a party instead. It was Halloween night, and for the first time since she’d started this little tradition, the moon was full, giving the whole experience an even spookier feel than before.

She knew all the stories already, but still truly enjoyed hearing them again. The tale of the haunted club, the story of the drunken ghost at the brewery, the unidentified red-eyed ghoul and much more. Each person strung along the tales in their own way, adding their personal touch, bringing new life to each account told.

Now the time had come to stop at the cemetery; one of Y/N’s favorite places. Stepping off the bus, she smiled as she gazed up at the night sky. The glowing orb had drawn higher up into the clear onyx sky surprisingly providing much illumination below. Moving forward, she walked quietly, meandering around the cemetery, reading each headstone she passed.

She paused on one and leaned forward to touch the stone that gleamed in the silvery light. She was surprised to find the marble to be warm. Her eyes skimmed over the carving into the stone, but the sound of the tour guide calling everyone back distracted her from capturing all the details. With a sullen sigh, she joined her group, which then returned to the bus.

Finding her seat, she peered out the window, noticing a mist beginning to cover the area. There was a magical beauty to the cemetery with its gargoyles, cherubs and angel statues that littered the grounds. The peaceful quietness was something she looked forward to whenever she walked the paths of the graveyard.

Giving it a wistful smile, she sat up a little straighter in her seat when the bus gently jerked forward. It was then that she noticed, out of the side of her eye, that there was someone sitting in the seat next to her. She’d been riding alone prior to the stop, and there should be the same amount of passengers as before...soooo….

She turned her head more to the side and was met with a pair of soulful mahogany brown eyes. His skin was pale, bringing out the darkness of those all too knowing eyes even more. His hair was a brown so dark, it could be mistaken for black. And even though the bus was dim, the emergency lights running down the aisle offered a barely noticeable illumination, he appeared to let off a soft glow of his own.

He stared back, a bit of curiosity now wrinkling his brow. It was this that seemed to break the trance she was in.

“Hey,” she smiled. “Didn’t want to take the tour by yourself?” He smiled, shaking his head as a reply. The way his lips quirked up at each corner had her heart beating a little bit faster than normal. “Are you scared?” she teased.

“No,” he laughed. “Are you?”

She shrugged, “Naw. I come every year. It’s how I like to pass Halloween Night.”

“Me as well.”

He had a mischievous little smirk that had her eyeing him suspiciously.

“Really? I’ve never seen you around before.”

“Perhaps we have just missed each other those nights, but I assure you...I have been here.”

Hmm...there was something strange about the young man. He certainly didn’t speak like anyone she knew.

“Maybe…” she trailed off.

The tour guide interrupted their banter and both became quiet. They would be making another stop soon. When the guide stopped talking the two continued conversing.

“If you would like, I know a bit of not-so-commonly-known information of some of the places we will see, I could procure you this knowledge. Enhance the tour for you a bit this time around.” She quirked an unconvinced eyebrow at him. “I speak the truth. I am certain you’ve heard it all. I can make it a tad more fun.”

“Alright then,” she finally gave in. “I’ll bite.”

He looked at her, a strange look on his face as he scooched away a little. “No need for all that.”

“You‘re weird,” she laughed. “I’m not literally going to bite you.” She covered her mouth to muffle the giggles spilling forth uncontrolled. “I’m Y/N, by the way.”

She offered a hand for him to shake. His hand reached forth, but instead of a handshake, he gently shifted her hand and brought it towards him as he bent his head down. His fingers were cold, but smooth. When his soft lips pressed a light kiss at her knuckles, goosebumps spread across her arms.

“It is a great pleasure to meet you.” His voice was soft-spoken, only making the goosebumps more prominent. “I am Kihyun.”

A slight nagging at the back of her mind felt a familiarity suddenly, but she quickly brushed it away. Certainly she’d remember a strange speaking guy, especially one as devilishly handsome as he.

Slipping her hand out of his grasp, she had to swallow a few times before she could reply with, “Nice to meet you, too.”

As the tour continued they remained together. True to his word, he offered new details she hadn’t heard before at almost every place they stopped. There was something about how he spoke that captivated her. The low modulation of his voice was appealing to listen to and soon she forgot about the tour and those around her. It was just Kihyun and herself, the world having fallen away from her mind.

After about two hours of strolling through historical downtown, it was time to return to the bus. To Y/N, it seemed like they had just gotten there. She’d had such a great time with Kihyun. If he didn’t ask for her number, she would certainly ask for his, unabashedly. He was gorgeous, smart and they’d hit it off so well? Definitely not passing up this opportunity.

Back in their seats, they settled in for the ride back. Kihyun was more quiet now, barely speaking as they neared the cemetery.

“What’s wrong?” Y/N finally asked.

With a sorrowful look, he cupped her cheeks.

“I have to go now, but please know… I have not enjoyed myself this much in cent…,” he paused, his lips thinning momentarily. “Let us just say, it has been a long long time. I will miss you.”

Confusion drew her brows down, “I don’t understand. I can give you my number. We can talk and see each other again soon...if you want...”

“I am afraid not,” he sighed desolately.

Before she could protest again, he leaned forward as he also guided her face towards him. Bringing his lips against hers, he swallowed the gasp she released. Y/N felt warm to him, but for her the flesh of Kihyun’s lips were cool, his tongue as it pressed gently, begging for entrance, was like ice as she granted permission. Her heartbeat thrummed wildly beneath her ribs when their kissed deepened for a moment longer. It was like a battle between fire and ice and neither wanted to pull away.

But pull away, he eventually did.

“Kihyun,” she swallowed hard, her tongue swiping across her lips and feeling the chill their.

“Good-bye, Y/N,” he whispered.

“Wait...what?”

She knew the bus would not stop to release passengers until they reached the parking lot. The bus ride wasn’t over yet, so why was Kihyun giving his good-bye’s now? He squeezed her hand one last time just as the bus stopped at a red light.

Y/N blinked.

It was a split second. One moment he was there and the other moment he was not. She shot up in her seat, looking around. Some of the riders had fallen asleep. It was just passed midnight now. Her eyes searched frantically out of the window. Nothing. Peering to the opposite side, she found an empty seat and rushed to it. Again, she squinted out into the darkness her eyes catching sight of a figure in black standing against a white and grey marble headstone.

Y/N gasped.

It was the headstone she’d touched. Eyes widening, she felt the hair on the back of her neck prick up as she recalled the message she’d briefly glanced at earlier.

Here lies Yoo Kihyun, son beloved...
