Roger Crenshaw: The Dogs at Duskfall (18+): OUT NOW!
Written by R/L Monroe (@mortalityplays), illustrated by Taylor Titmouse
The brain is the biggest sexual organ in the human body--but lately Roger has been feeling understimulated. The frustrated folklorist can't seem to find himself an outlet, until a twilight encounter with a familiar stranger blurs the lines between fact and fantasy. Who is Special Agent Hooper? What is he hunting in the margins of Roger's dreams? And just what will it take to satisfy him?
This adventure takes place some ten years on in the wild life of Roger Crenshaw--folklorist, trans man, and lover of the unknown in the most literal sense. This story contains explicit sexual content and is intended for adult audiences only. Reading the previous works in the series is highly recommended.
Features rope bondage, sex for an audience, dom/sub dynamics, the incomprehensible beyond, and a lot of semantic debate.
23k words, 10 spot illustrations, 3 half page illustrations. Comes in DRM free PDF and EPUB formats, and includes a gallery ZIP of high-res illustrations and extra art.
You can read two more pages of the sample on the shop page!
Don't forget about the original Roger Crenshaw books! Catch up on Roger's sexy adventures with a charming vampire professor, a gang of train robbing werewolves, and the ghost of an ambitious cultist!

New article: The Day of the Jackal: Who is Eddie Redmayne?
As he takes on the role of the ultimate assassin, here’s everything you need to know about The Day of the Jackal’s leading man, Eddie Redmayne.
Who is Eddie Redmayne?
Eddie Redmayne, born in 1982, is a British actor born and raised in London, England.
His great-grandfather, Sir Richard Redmayne, was a civil and mining engineer, credited for his work in improving mine safety and for his advocacy of the benefits of a five-day working week on employees, helping make weekends a more standard practice.
Wanting to perform from an early age, he attended Jackie Palmer Stage School from the age of 10 and made his screen debut in an episode of kids TV series Animal Ark in 1998.
He later landed a music scholarship at the esteemed Eton College, attending the same year as Prince William.
Going on to study at Cambridge University, he made his professional debut as an actor at Shakespeare’s Globe in 2003 in a production of Twelfth Night.
From that point on, he established himself as one to watch on the British stage and later pivoted to film, where he took on dramatic roles in films including 2007’s Elizabeth: The Golden Age, The Other Boleyn Girl and The Yellow Handkerchief in 2008, and My Week with Marilyn in 2011.
In 2012, Redmayne grew international acclaim for portraying Marius in Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables, and two years later landed his first Oscar for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in biopic The Theory of Everything.
He continues to act on both stage and screen, earning another Oscar nomination in 2015 for his role of Lili Elbe in The Danish Girl, and leading the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise as Newt Scamander.
The Day of the Jackal is his first major TV role in 12 years.
On stage, he has most recently led revivals of Cabaret in the West End and Broadway, starring as the elusive and mysterious Emcee.
He has been married to wife Hannah Bagshawe since 2014, and together they have two children.
Who does Eddie Redmayne play in The Day of the Jackal?
The Jackal is a notorious assassin who lives a normal double life away from his murderous career path.
A natural chameleon, The Jackal has an innate ability to blend in with a crowd and change his appearance at will, meaning his targets never see him coming.
He is a man who prefers to work alone, considering each of his missions an art form.
Little is known about the character as we’re introduced to him, with his ability to camouflage himself leaving him free to do his work undetected.
The role was portrayed by Edward Fox in the 1973 movie adaptation of the story.
Find out more about the other cast and characters from The Day of the Jackal here.
Where have I seen Eddie Redmayne before?
Eddie Redmayne has become one of the most sought-after British stars in the world, with an enviable list of previous projects.
Here are some of his most notable roles to date:
My Week With Marilyn (2011) - Colin Clark
Based on the memoir of Colin Clark, My Week With Marilyn follows the aspiring filmmaker as he travels to London in 1956 to land a job with the celebrated Laurence Olivier.
Landing a position on The Prince and The Showgirl, Colin finds himself working as an assistant and pseudo-protector of the iconic Marilyn Monroe (played by Michelle Williams), who is having trouble in her personal life and marriage to Arthur Miller.
Across a fateful week, Colin and Marilyn grow closer as the Hollywood star adjusts to England, her current life, and her work with Olivier.
Les Miserables (2012) - Marius Pontmercy
Based on the book by Victor Hugo, Les Miserables is an adaptation of the musical of the same name.
Redmayne plays Marius Pontmercy, a compassionate young man who is a member of the revolutionary group, Friends of the ABC.
He instantly falls in love with Cosette, the adopted daughter of leading man Jean Valjean, upon meeting her.
This causes the heartbreak of his best friend Eponine, who is secretly in love with him.
Devoted to both his cause and his love, Marius is torn on his loyalties as the revolution turns violent and he leads the rebels on the barricades.
The Theory of Everything (2014) - Stephen Hawking
This biographical drama depicts the early life and first marriage of the legendary Stephen Hawking, detailing his work, health, and romantic life.
First meeting Hawking as an astrophysics student at the University of Cambridge, he meets young literature student Jane Wilde and falls in love.
Together, they will navigate the success of his career and his diagnosis with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive form of motor neurone disease that leads to slurred speech, muscle stiffness, and difficulty breathing.
The incurable and eventually fatal disease would eventually confine Hawking to a wheelchair, where he would communicate via a computer for the rest of his life.
The show is based on the 2007 memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen written by Jane, who married Hawking in 1965.
The Theory of Everything is available now on Sky and NOW.
The Danish Girl (2015) - Lili Elbe
The Danish Girl is a story loosely inspired by the lives of Danish painter Lili Elbe – who became one of the first recorded people to have gender-affirming surgery.
Lili’s story inspired the novel of the same title by David Ebershoff.
Starting the story in the mid-1920s, The Danish Girl tracks the awakening of Lili’s transgender identity.
Married to portrait artist Gerda Wegener (Alicia Vikander), Lili comes out as transgender after posing as a woman for one of her wife’s paintings.
The film tracks the barriers Lili had to face in order to get the surgery, and the support Gerda was throughout the transition.
The Danish Girl is available now on Sky and NOW
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) - Newt Scamander
An extension of the Harry Potter Wizarding World, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them follows Newt Scamander decades before the original Harry Potter series.
Newt is a ‘magizoologist’ who travels the globe to document the wizarding world’s magical creatures but finds himself in trouble in 1926 New York City when his suitcase gets into the wrong hands, with animals let loose across the human city.
Now he’s on a mission to gather them all or risk exposing the entire wizarding world – but as he does so, he finds himself dealing with growing unrest that could prove a more devastating threat on the world as they know it.
The franchise has since had two more installments: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald in 2016, and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore in 2018.
The Trial of the Chicago Seven (2020) - Tom Hayden
Based on true events that occurred in 1968, The Trial of the Chicago Seven follows seven men as they are arrested and charged with "crossing state lines" to incite a riot during an anti-Vietnam protest at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
As the trial gets underway, it becomes apparent the judge has a prejudice against them, with ongoing issues, stunts, and uncovering of brutality turning the courtroom into a circus.
The film was widely praised and was even nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture, at the 2021 Academy Awards, as well as three Baftas and five Golden Globes.
The Trial of the Chicago Seven is available to watch on Netflix....
The Day of the Jackal coming 7 November exclusively on Sky Atlantic and NOW.

Book asks for you!
What book was turned into a movie and turned out to be as good or even better than the book?
Is there a particular author you would like to meet in real life?
What book are you reading right now?
What book was turned into a movie and turned out to be as good or even better than the book?
Jaws by Peter Benchley is a pretty horrible book. It is completely different from the movie. For example, in the book Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) is a young preppy attractive cocky stud jock and there is a romance between Hooper and Chief Brody's wife Ellen! Spielberg took a horrible book, and turned it into one of our best monster movies ever made.
Is there a particular author you would like to meet in real life?
You didn't mention alive or dead. All three of my answers, are dead.
The first author that came to my mind is James Baldwin! Simply because he is so sexy! I want to do naughty sexy things with him. Intelligence is so hot.
The second author that came to mind is Walt Whitman. I want to be his friend! I think we have a lot in common (spiritually) and I would love to know the conversations we would have together talking about nature, love, life, the cosmos, the spirit, and Abraham Lincoln. (He totally had a thing for Abe.)
The third author that came to mind, most people have never heard of before. His name is Alexander Key. He is most famous for writing the book that the Disney movie "Escape to Witch Mountain" was based on.
I have read almost all of his books (they are out of print and difficult to come by) and I have also collected some of the books where he provided the illustrations. Almost all of his books have a magical / fantastical / science fiction element to them - like kids who are aliens or from other dimensions, or kids who have encounters with unusual phenomena or they discover they have hidden magical abilities. And he even wrote a non-fiction book, "The Strange White Doves" filled with true stories about how animals have ESP! There is even a chapter about how trees have ESP! He published his first book in 1930! And I just know, he writes so much about magical / mystical encounters, that he must have had some real life experiences himself. I would love to know what inspired a lifetime spent writing for children about how they have untapped magic inside of them.
I just opened my copy of "The Strange White Doves" (published in 1972) and on the book jacket Alexander Key is quoted as saying, "Man has become so self-centered and destructive that there is very little hope for him or his planet." Then he adds, "If enough young people can see the truth, there IS hope."
What is this "Truth" he speaks of??? I'd love to get inside of his mind and know what he knows.
What book are you reading right now?
You know I always have several books going at one time! Here is my current pile:
"Dracula" by Bram Stoker "A Wind in the Door" by Madeleine L'Engle "The Complete Persepolis" by Marjane Satrapi "Marilyn: The Passion and the Paradox" a biography about Marilyn Monroe by Lois Banner "Wolfsong" by TJ Klune
I love you, friend! Thank you for asking! I appreciate your friendship.
P.S. In case anyone is interested in more information about Alexander Key, here is a link to his Wikipedia entry.

🫵🏽 daddy long dick monroe and hooper pls
(i don’t have a specific question tbh. what’s going on with them)
OKAY SO CRACKS KNUCKLES
monroe is a relatively old (not the OLDEST) splatoon-originating oc i have! hes so old i shipped him with my exes oc YUCK!!! i'm still in the process of revamping his current storyline but hes very silly goofy :) hes a bit cursed in canon (like literally cursed. and no i dont know the source of the curse yet sadly) to where if he makes physical contact with somebody they both get hurt from it.. it hurts much MUCH worse if you're a supernatural/magical creature (of which we (me and my boyfriend) have plenty in our universe) but thats not going to stop him from getting w/ my boyfriends oc whos an angel descendant LMFAO
he runs a "magical" artifact pawn shop (theyre debatedly magical lmfaooo hes got some duds mixed in) that humans + supernatural creatures frequent all the time.. hes very social and outgoing but hes the type to not really go out of his way to make friends either! just charismatic and good at keeping a conversation going + keeping the other person talking.. hes very intelligent but mostly keeps it to himself and tends to deflect conversations/questions about him .. he also might have a bit of a drinking problem he picked up from his ex but idk about all that yet
HOOPER IS MY CRAZY BABYGIRL they're half of an eggsec VP duo me and my boyfriend made (his character tinsel is shown but not linked on toyhouse). theyre so silly they have a erm Interesting backstory i have yet to fully flesh out + share yet but just know being eggsec 680 was not their first career choice okay? okay. they ARE good at their job though (in our splatoon canon they're a full time grizzco employee w/ their own job guidelines that differ from the in-game stuff) and tend to do a lot of work clearing out lessers that make it easy for their teammates but cant resist a good egg dunk every now and then.. theyre very volatile and have a pretty quick temper but quite enthusiastic and confident in their ability to work :) they clash w/ tinsel every so often (see toyhouse pics) but its usually only about work LMFAO also they're FWBs if you care.
also pics of the 2 babygirls for my followers who dont wanna go to toyhouse
#sorry ik you probably saw these pics but im a visual learner (loves looking at ocs and my own art)#mailbox#dooxliss#i luv ocs :)!

Snark
So this is just a simple three drabble collection of crossovers featuring snarky people. The two old ones are a BtVS/House MD crossover with Buffy and House and a CSI/CSI: NY crossover with Warrick, Danny, Lindsay and Nick. The one I’m posting here was claimed by @melamungous ages ago and is a slightly naughty Khanolly drabble. Enjoy!
Snark - Three crossover situations dealing with snarky people, showing snarkiness is universal.

Upping The Stakes Khan Noonien Singh/Molly Hooper Star Trek: AOS/Sherlock
“Quit whining.”
He was only mildly irritated. Even being chided by the woman he loved, he was more irritated by his growing losing streak than anything else. The rules of poker were simple. There was a lot of mathematics that could be used to give him an edge. And yet here he was, losing every single game he played against her. It was frustrating. It was annoying.
It was embarrassing.
Finally, Molly laid her cards on the table. “I doubt you’ll beat this hand,” she said, smirking. If she wasn’t such a phenomenally good kisser he’d do something drastic to wipe that smirk off her lips. Perhaps sweep her off the chair, pin her against the bed and make her sing his name in that voice that was music to his ears as she orgasmed.
That was a delightful thought as he looked at his hand. He didn’t even bother to show his cards, tossing them down in disgust.
The smirk softened. “We could make this more interesting, you know. Strip poker is a thing.”
He raised an eyebrow. “So I’ll be stark naked and you fully clothed?”
“But imagine the things I could do to a naked you,” she said, the smirk coming back with an additional naughty gaze. He cleared his throat as he felt his cock harden and then reached for his cards. At least if it was ready, she could have some fun...and he could, too.

26 - Top 5 crack ships. MWUAHAHAHA. OMG, I really am having the hardest time limiting this to five because I made my name writing crack ships in like...multiple fandoms? Man, this is so hard...
Leonard McCoy/Molly Hooper (Star Trek: AOS/Sherlock)
Don Flack, Jr./Kate Beckett (CSI: NY/Castle)
Angelus/Riley Finn (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Greg Sanders/Lindsay Monroe (CSI/CSI: NY)
Mayuri Kurotsuchi/Isane Kotetsu (Bleach...don't ask, please, don't ever ask)
30 - Top 5 off-screen relationships. This is also a really hard one? Because there weren't many ships I shipped that were canon and offscreen, but here goes.
Neville Longbottom/Luna Lovegood (HP movies - implied)
Sherlock Holmes/Irene Adler (Sherlock...technically, in canon, they flirt, but their actual relationship is implied)
Renji Abarai/Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach...at least it was offscreen up to when I stopped reading and then was the canon ending for them)
Hikaru Sulu/Ben Sulu (Star Trek: AOS)
Zakath/Cyradis (The Mallorean...it was mostly offscreen throughout most of the series and doesn't become official until the very end)
Get to know my favourites! TV show/movie edition
