I saw it on YouTube again and wondered about it! If..you saw this series that is. If not, I’ll take Netflix monkey king! It’s up to you!

This monkey man is the definition of assertive

He sees something he likes? He makes it clear he will have it. There's a demon he wants to beat up? He'll talk about beating them up before actually following through with it. There's a person he wants to get with? He makes his intentions crystal clear to everyone around him without hesitation, heaven forbid you try to stop him, he will not allow it.

Surprisingly optimistic despite everything that has happened. There is nothing that can really bring down his mood once he's in a good one.

That means he's not exactly stable when he's in a rare bad mood. Just...give the guy some space if that happens.

Sometimes he'll accidentally break things or break someone. He just gets excitable and well...

Of course there's lots of apologies that ensue if the worst happens, though he doesn't like admitting he did something wrong.

Out of all the versions of Monkey King, this one is probably the most extroverted and friendly of the bunch. He for sure will make loads of friends if given the chance.

This version also seems to be the most open minded on things. Got something to say? He's all ears. Got something you want him to learn? He'll actually sit and listen (a rarity among Monkey kings)

Despite how loud and assertive he is, sometimes he can also be more quiet and gentle when the situation calls for it. It took some learned behavior from Tang though. But, it's a useful trait to have when you're someone like Monkey king.

Very energetic sometimes. He always needs to be doing something with his hands or going out and fighting stuff.

I'd assume this version is extremely protective of his SO if he has one.

Same can be said for his friends.

Would absolutely do everything he can to cheer someone up if they started crying in front of him. It really hurts to see someone so hurt...

Usually encourages people to be a better version of themselves (except Pigsy, he gave up on that guy)

Oh boy where do I start?

If Leo the zodiac sign was a person, this would be him.

This guy, ooo- this guy really loves himself, and he makes sure everyone around him knows it too at every given chance.

Very confident in his ability to overcome any challenge or obstacle (he's just the best ain't he?)

Probably takes better care of himself and Stick than his own armor or anything else that's with him.

Would absolutely have a bunch of different shampoos, conditioners, and lotions in modern days. The guy loves to love himself, and look loved too.

Probably a huge flirt when he sees someone he mildly finds interest in. That or he'll just brag about himself to seem more impressive. (He's probably exaggerating)

Modern version of him would probably be a lot more chilled out after the years, learning to just let things go and not be so impulsive or take things personally. He's still got a lot of work to do when it comes to letting people in though.

He's just afraid of losing people like Lin again you know? Right when he realizes he has a family, he loses them and sits isolated form the world for hundreds of years.

Usually prefers staying away from people, alone with Stick. Being alone as a kid does that to you.

Sometimes seeks out validation and love from crowds of people and fans.

He's a little more patient over the years, but just as chaotic.

Expect lots of malicious compliance from him. And pranks, he enjoys getting a good laugh out of others or just doing it for his own entertainment. (though he can border on just being a jerk)

Sometimes talks to Stick when he's alone, it's usually just him venting about things from the past.

Tends to get anxious when he's alone for too long or if there's a thunderstorm (doesn't need a lot of explaining to understand that).

Will be the sweetest monkey with someone he really likes. It's like he's a completely different person!

"Just a little bit further" Monkey had said over three hours ago.

You were accompanying him on his journey to defeat one of the most powerful demons in the land. Monkey really didn't want his only… companion (other than stick) getting hurt or worse... killed. However, you were insufferably stubborn.

"Monkeyyy, how much longer" You groan, your feet were aching so badly that you thought you might fall over right here on the path.

The tree leaves rustle and you glance to your left. A quick, red blur passes through a gap in the treeline and you roll your eyes.

"Just a feeew more miles" Monkey calls.

He was lucky that he could swing through the trees, honestly, any other form of travel would be better than walking right about now.

You groan and force yourself to take another step.

"Hey... cheer up, wanna play a game?" Monkey lands next to you with a sly grin plastered on his face.

You aren't sure if you should say yes, but a distraction would do wonders at this point.

"Anything to make this awful hike move faster," You say.

"Great! I'll hide, you seek, but keep walking okay? We don't have all day you know"

Your lips part to speak, but before you get even a mumble out, Monkey has disappeared into the trees with a sneer.

Some time passes as you walk along the path and you haven't heard from Monkey in a while. Only the faint sound of him swinging through the trees could be heard.

Suddenly you hear a loud thud from behind and spin around, ready for a fight. When you don't see anyone, your eyes drop to the ground. Laying there in the dirt is a twig. You spin around and nearly scream.

"Hey," Monkey says, his voice sultry, a smug grin on his upside-down face.

Monkey hangs from a tree, his tail snuggly wrapped around a thick branch that overreaches the road. "Found ya" He coos, reaching out to boop you on the nose.

Your faces are just inches apart, and you can't deny the heat rising in your chest. The two of you had never been this close. His temperature was rising as well, you felt it radiating off him.

You roll your eyes. "What on earth are you doing?"

"Giving myself away, duh. I'm way too good at this whole hide-and-seek thing. You'd never have found me" He boasts, yammering on and on. However, your mind was only on one thing.

You slowly lean in, all the while Monkey still goes on about his perfect hiding skills.

"I mean, c'mon... At least pretend like you know where I am- mmm" His eyes go wide as his words come to a satisfying halt.

Monkey doesnt pull away, instead, he leans into the kiss, his tail losing grip slightly as his body fills with sensations. The hair on his neck stands up slightly as you pull him closer.

"W-What was that for?" He mumbles when you pull away.

"Oh, well you wouldn't shut up, I had to think of something" You tease, this time booping his nose, you smile sweetly as you walk past him.

"What- I-" Monkey hangs there, mouth agape. His heart is beating so fast and he isn't sure if it's because of the stunt you just pulled or if there was too much blood rushing to his head.

He hops down from the tree, his shock still visible. "Hey! You can't just walk away after that, Pebble" He calls, running to catch up with you.

Lego Monkie Kid Sun Wukong is pretty much the definition of confidence

He doesn’t really care about the consequences and is kind of a go with the flow type of guy from what I’ve seen from the show

he’ll drink the love potion without even reading the label like the genius he is

he’s thirsty, and its the nearest liquid he can get

The affects of the potion will kick in, in about ten-ish minutes

and with his massive ego he won’t hesitate to flirt with you once the love potion kicks in

he’ll have more physical affection than 2023 Wukong, he’ll wrap his arm around your shoulder and make small talk about the weather or maybe just himself

he’s not afraid to stare at you with a flirty look either, Mk’s is going to have to take the burden of trying to pry him off of you

Sun Wukong would definitely give you pet names like Peach, and he’ll call you Babe too

he’s simply not afraid to go above and beyond with how he feels about you

For Netflix Wukong, he can’t read

Picking up the potion he won’t be able to make out the readings on the bottle

he doesn’t want people to know that he can’t read, he’ll make up something about the potion

and to prove that he’s right about this made up potion he’ll drink it in front of you to prove that your wrong

however your not wrong

“I don’t feel anything, see what did I tell ya?”

Wait around ten minutes, that’s when the affects kick in

Netflix Monkey King is different with the lotion potion from lego because his love language is teasing

once the affects of the potion kick in, he’s going to start teasing you

and he’ll poke you with stick frequently too

asking him to stop will just encourage him more

”Oh you don’t like that? Well happens when I… *poke* HA! Gotcha again!”

Because getting back into this movie led me to finding your blog... Might i request Netflix Monkey King getting his face held by reader in a very platonic/familial sort of way? Like how his reaction might be to someone very physically affectionate. Because if ever there is a touch starved monkey, it would be him. (The most out of all variants i have seen so far) would that be okay?

The sound of rain echoed throughout the cave walls as the low rumbling of thunder rippled throughout the sky. The fire that flared close to the entrance gave off a warmth throughout the space. It was comforting, it felt safe...

Perhaps it was too warm though?

Looking over from your spot, you watch as the monkey continued tossing and turning from his curled up position, making small noises of discomfort and tiny curses before finally settling on a position to rest in. All was quiet again save for the crackling fire and storm outside.

Deciding your companion was done with wrestling the floor and mat, you slowly closed your eyes to drift back to sleep.

Until the sound of shifting blankets was heard again. You sighed, sitting up to confront the monkey, knowing by now he was not going to settle down anytime soon.

"Wukong..."

"What." The monkey sat up to glare at you, his voice tight and irritated.

Your train of thought stopped, caught in your throat as you stared at him.

His fur was bristled and pointed out, he almost looked like a cat fluffing itself up to intimidate a foe. You held back a chuckle after seeing the face he was giving you. Slowly, you stood up, grabbing the mat you were just on, and dragged it closer to his.

"Are...you oka-" "I'm fine."

Not letting you finish your sentence, the monkey king turned away and laid back down. End of discussion.

You huffed. He can be so stubborn...

Lightning cracked and bellowed outside above the cave, earning the smallest whimper from your companion. If you took notice, he certainly wasn't showing you signs of having made a sound. Instead, his body only further curled in on itself, now hugging his staff closely, which remained silent.

The cave was quiet once again as the downpour outside increased.

Small taps were heard as his tail swished around wildly, slightly curling downwards towards his body.

The average person wouldn't have noticed this behavior change, taking it as excitement or aggression, but you knew Monkey King like the back of your hand. He was scared.

Your heart felt heavy like lead seeing him in this state.

You watched as every strike in the sky drew a flinch or whimper from him, every rumble was like a warning for danger to come, something bad.

Slowly, and quietly, you knelt down behind him. You could see his face, scrunched up and eyes squeezed shut as his body trembled, wanting nothing more than to shut the world out. You hesitated, thinking, before reaching out and softly cupping his cheek.

A sharp inhale echoed off the walls as his eyes snapped open and his body froze.

Looking down, you opened your mouth to speak, but quickly shut it, not knowing the words to use once you saw his glare.

Realizing your mistake, you quickly moved your hand away.

Only to have your wrist grabbed and your hand placed onto it's previous spot.

Neither of you moved or spoke for what felt like minutes, only allowing the sound of rain outside to echo throughout the cave.

"I'm fine...when I'm here with my family. With Stick, with you. I just..."

His voice cracked, giving out as he looked away, keeping his hand over yours, his thumb slowly rubbing circles into the back of your palm. Reluctantly, he turned over to face you.

"Can yo-" "Yes."

This time, you interrupted him, your voice soft and low.

You sat down, adjusting your mat to line up next to his, finally laying down on your side once your were adjusted. Your hand left his face as you embraced him, arms wrapping around his torso and his around yours.

The two of you laid there, feeling the warmth and safety of each other's embrace until the storm began to fade into the distance.

What if Monkey King was a Yandere with Y/N?

(Lmk Wukong) He has so much trauma and loss that it's known that he became a yandere. Whenever He finds joy and happiness, it either gets ruined by himself or heaven, and the fact that it happens again and again and again is what drives him mad. So when he finally meets you, his broken world is suddenly fixed, and it's all thanks to you. He just has to marry you and give you the immortality peach, and you'll be together forever🥰🥰🥰

(NR Wukong) I just know he'll be the most dangerous yandere. He's so unpredictable, like seriously, he's if the saying never let them know your next moves was a stone monkey. He is also clingy in a way that makes him mildly desperate, so I hope you don't have anything important during the cuddle session. Another thing is that I can see him killing behind your back like he could be a serial killer if he wanted, but what you don't know won't hurt you right.

(HIB Wukong) He is the king of isolation and paranoia. He was already stressed with almost losing Luier and silly girl, and then he got married to you. The only person who accepted with him and loved him despite his endless flaws and less the Stellar looks according to heaven, but you stayed away. But be careful if you don't pay attention it will soon just be you, him, and the children.

(MKR Wukong) He's the most brutal yandere, well second most brutal (you'll see who's the first later😈) He's has more blood on his claws then one can count, and it's all just for you after all he can't have loser scrub idiots trying to take what is his. He would even have to regulate his own group if they dared to mess with or upset you, especially if it's pigsy. So if he comes to you one day Offering bacon with your eggs, then you will know exactly who you're eating.

(Netflix Wukong) He's the yandere that has experienced way too much lost in a short amount of time. For example, if he loses you to anything or anyone, he can kiss his sanity and morals goodbye. Basically, he loves you so much that he would do anything for you, even kill just to make sure you will stay with him forever.

(BMW Wukong) This guy is a weapon of mass destruction and the Deadliest monkey king of all. He is not afraid to take lives of the ones who messed with you or tried to take you away from him. Of course he would gaslight and woo you into thinking that everything is fine and that you won't have to lift a single finger. Let your husband and king take care of everything darling.😈

(Destined one) Man he's the yandere nobody ever saw coming especially with how surprisingly chill he is. He would let you free and do whatever you want as long as you don't dare to escape him. Though he wouldn't have to worry because why would you do that for, he's also super Affectionate and would tear the world apart if he ever lost you. So if you were ever in any danger then the whole world with be as well👿👿👿

So I was thinking a a make-out with some suggestive themes and maybe it leads to smut(the choice is really up to you if you’re feeling creative). Like lets say that Monkey King(Netflix) was being his usual self then something happens that causes him to like bump into Y/N or run into Y/N and corners her by accident. Then another thing happens and they end up kissing but MK doesn’t know how to handle something like this considering his past and his track record so he sorta takes it alot further and something awakens in him? He learned a lot about humanity and their unique cultures and lives, he explored countless lands, returning home after discovering the small world around him

It was during his trip back that he bumped into you--literally

It was a simple mistake on your part, really, you tripped over yourself, trying to carry some heavy objects in your arms

Yet, here you were, being embraced by a rather short monkey man as your lips had briefly touched in both of your surprises

Monkey King was more shocked than you were, openly stammering and practically tossing your items back to you as he apologized over and over

You had to shut up him after a few second of watching the poor man try to explain what happened

Monkey King had never experienced a kiss before, especially not a surprise bump-into-someone's-lips kind of kiss

Yet the brief moment of electricity he felt, the way his heart raced as you two quickly pulled away--it was...new--something strange

He ended up treating you to a rather fancy restaurant, intent on learning more about you even if he did genuinely feel bad about the accident

You were feisty, Wukong noticed with a tingle of excitement

You denied his invitations to dinner rather stronger, and Wukong...just kept trying until you said yes

He was a pushy man, but Wukong was also prepared to go away the moment you told him to

In the end, he won his little game to your dismay

He also kept coming back to you, greeting you with his usual charm

You still held the kiss over his head if he got too bold which made him immediately lose any footing he had over you

Slowly, a small little game turned into a competition of two bull-headed individuals fighting over small things

Going out to eat? Buy groceries? Simply hanging out? Verbal fights were your go-to when it came to anything of the sort, seeing whose silver-tongue was sharper

Wukong was impressed to see that he met his equal in that regard and that attracted him further to you

When it came to Wukong realizing his feelings for you, that was the hard part

You two were at odds in every regard, and that included who made the biggest gesture of love

Where Wukong gave you gold and flowers, you gave him praise and compliments that had him ascending to the celestial realm

You got together without a single confession, but it worked

Romantically, Wukong's tongue became smoother, his charms being raised to max--he was still weak to being praised though, and while the accident no longer held any footing, a simple "good job" would have him reeling

To the outside world, you two were bitter frienemies, lashing out with sharp insults and witty banter

But, in the safety of your own privacy, sharp words became tender comfort and witty banter turned into playful arguments

You did learn that Wukong had a thing for biting throughout your relationship

If you won an argument easily, his counter argument was a nip on your shoulder or hand

If he won a game of wits, his prize would be him giving you a wonderful new mark to show who he claimed

He didn't like seeing you hurt, but having you decorated with his marks was pleasing to the eye

It seemed you--in your typical fashion--didn't give the satisfaction of showing how much secretly liked it as well, but Wukong is always ready to win his battles no matter what type
