This past weekend I was at Animate! Miami I cosplayed Avatar State Korra, and Sumia from Fire Emblem. I had so much fun in both and I got to cosplay with a Fire Emblem group (as well as my Nintendo buddies~) It was super fun and I'll be posting photos as well as a break down of my Sumia

Tutorial for my headdress/armor 1. Pattern out the headdress. I patterned out on some thick watercolor paper. Each part that I wanted to be raised I dress on another piece of paper and layered. Make sure your pattern fits you properly. 2. I used some thin eva foam and cut out the shape. Simple as that. Then I used thin craft foam to cut out the details. 3. Glue on the details. I used googly eyes, and hot glue dots to make rivets, and some puff paint for extra details. Shaped it with a heat gun and let it cool on my wig head so it kept it's shape. Then I covered it in modpodge. 4. I spray painted with silver paint. One ever coverage. Then I covered it in some gold fabric paint (Because it's thin, and I didn't want my headdress to be gold, but I wanted it to have a gold sheen to it) Weathered it with some acrylic paint. 5. Cover it in modpodge to seal everything in. I attached it with a chain, and it's done~

Started on Sumia yesterday. I used a dress I owned as a base patterned and sewed the dress together, cut it up to sew it back for the panels that she has then cut the bottom so I can add the lavender part on the skirt. It was about 3 hours of work x__X but I'm loving it so far.

I did a costest for Sumia the other day. I'll be debuting her at Animate Miami with my Fire Emblem group ^.^
