You know when someone says something in your direction that is hurtful but then they apologize immediately after to make it seem like a joke? But yet you ponder on those words for days after. Wondering why or how that thought came to their mind about you, to then say it out loud. Do they really think that about you? Has that really crossed their mind? 

What did I do to make her think that? Am I really a bad Mom? I just stood there, blood rushed from my face, speechless

On yesterday, I reposted a video discussing #perfectionism as a reminder that our peace should be our highest priority. The video uploaded with NO SOUND! I will try to re-upload soon. . . . Anywho, I shared about how comparing our daily #quarantine schedules, routines, and accomplishments with those of other moms - as well as “giving a care” about what others think of your modes of family survival right now is extremely unhealthy. . . . Here’s a prime example of what I mean: My husband was interviewed for a story on being a #GirlDad. “They” needed a photo. But “I” needed my sanity. So, after a day filled with homeschooling and back-to-back Zoom meetings, what did I do? I took and submitted THESE photos. On the surface, these photos appear acceptable (of which they are); however, the journey to snapping these shots involved a full-on state of “I don’t give a care,” partnered with “whatevers.” You see, my kids - and even my husband - are still in their “house clothes,” paired with pajamas. Little-to-no preparation was made before capturing these shots. No hair was done, no wardrobe selected, no thought put into it, and very little “standards.” It was “easy-peasy.” And yes, this article is public and will be shared with the WORLD. . . . I LOVE these photos, because they go to show me that love, light, and beauty CAN be achieved without the sacrifice, or the compromise, of my peace. . . . Be encouraged, Moms. My advice for new moms

Don’t feel like you have to be “brave” and not get that pain relief during labor. It’s available for a reason.

Don’t feel like a failure if you ended up getting an epidural.

Don’t boast if you made it through without an epidural.

Don’t feel pressured to breastfeed. Fed is best. Breastfeeding isn’t for everyone. It’s tough.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Whether it just be someone watch the baby while you shower or get some sleep. Or even if it’s asking for the baby to stay a night so you can catch up on housework or even just to get some rest. It’s perfectly okay to need time to adjust and to ask for help.

Don’t be afraid to ask your fellow mom friends for advice. I can almost guarantee they’ll love to give it to you and will be the least judgmental.

Don’t stress so much. You’re going to do the best you know how and your baby will turn out wonderful and will appreciate you so, so much.

Don’t forget to take care of yourself.

Thank your mom or whoever raised you, because you’ll come to learn this is one of the toughest things you’ll ever do, but also one of the most rewarding.

Children😩

So I know I don't have many followers. Literally like 7. I know I'm pathetic. But to those of you who do follow me, who have children, what's the craziest thing your child has done, that resulted in some kind of injury. Because my daughter is 4. I was in the bathroom for like 2 minutes, and she knocks on the door and says her eye hurts. Well she came in her face was wet and her eye was red. And it smelled like soap. Not sure what kind but soap. Well I start flushing her eye immediately, and it's not red anymore and she says it doesn't hurt. Then I ask her to show me the soap she used. And she brings me to a bottle of shout stain remover. WTH I literally only left u alone for 2 minutes! I think I'm gonna have to quit using the bathroom because she only does stuff like this when I need to pee. And she never does the same thing twice. It's always something different. One time i had to pee, only took like a minute, and I come out of the bathroom and find her in the middle of the kitchen floor with a tub of butter, and half the tub is all over her and the floor! I've also tried just taking her with me to the bathroom with me, which was fine while she was potty training, but now she doesn't want to go to the bathroom unless she needs to potty. And just for the record all my cleaning products and kept where she can't reach them and I have no idea how she got the shout, I swear I'm not a shitty mother.

To the mom with no mom friends, I know it’s lonely. I know it’s hard. You wish you had someone to call. Someone to have play dates with. Someone to just understand.

You see the women all over social media posting photos of their kids playing, and growing up together.

Moms getting coffee, going to the park, and hanging out while their kids play.

You sit on the other side while you glance now and then and wonder what it would be like, to have that.

You feel guilty, and wonder if you should make more of an effort to find people. You wonder if you’re taking away an experience from your child because you don’t have that.

You are not alone mama. How do I know this?

Because I am a mom with no mom friends. I understand you, I am you. There are so many of us out here that get it. We have our own group, we just haven’t found one another yet.
