Finished putting together another Adventure Zone platform fighter moveset, and for an Amnesty character no less! It's the owner and proprietor of Amnesty Lodge, Mama!

Now, Mama's not afraid of getting her hands dirty and makes good use of her shotgun in her standard moves. But for her specials, she calls upon her ability to delegate as her friends come to her aid.

Mama's neutral special summons Barclay, who transforms and delivers a powerful Bigfoot punch before vanishing. Once summoned, Mama can move and act as normal while Barclay does his move. He also blocks some hits and projectiles, but will vanish early if he takes too much damage.

Mama's side special summons the ghostly Moira, who slowly moves forward a good distance, doing some damage to foes she passes through and destroying most projectiles. Like Barclay, Mama can move normally once Moira's summoned, and she will disappear if she takes too many hits.

Mama's down special summons Dani briefly, during which Mama can move normally. If Dani is struck, she lashes with a strong counter before vanishing. The summoning animations for Barclay, Moira, and Dani are all very similar, allowing for some mind games about who she's summoning.

Mama's up special summons Jake Coolice! Jake performs a sick snowboard stunt in a forward arc, taking Mama with him. Mama can hop off at the peak of the jump, allowing Jake to finish the stunt solo before vanishing, or she can ride the whole way down for a little extra damage.

For Mama's finale, the whole stage is temporarily thrust through the Gate to Sylvain. Foes who are hit by the Gate as it rushes past will take a good amount of damage, and all foes will slowly take more damage for as long as they are within Sylvain.

I'm SORRY, I absolutely loved NtN (*) but I get how it can be frustrating when u just need our girl Gideon to kick some ass. We are being edged by Taz

(*) I loved NtN because it feels like one of those filler arcs in an anime that don't actually advance the plot much but deepen the worldbuilding + send side characters on fun quests and that's catnip to me. Also Moira Quirk's narration of John's chapters? CHILLS. But we ARE being edged

stupid and very oddly specific TAZ Amnesty headcanons because I was sobbing over episode 28 :):

-Jake listens to Dolly Parton

-Aubrey introduced him to 100 gecs and him, Dani, and Aubrey will listen to it in the lobby. When Barclay asks what on earth they're doing he says that if he were "gecced the heck up" he would understand

-Duck unintentionally became TikTok famous, probably for a video of him skitching Sheriff Owen's car

-Hollis listens to Mindless Self Indulgence and Ayesha Erotica

-Keith listens to Taylor Swift but would die before Hollis and the Hornets knew that

-Everyone thinks that Mama would listen to chill classic rock like The Beatles or Simon and Garfunkel, but Barclay comes in to her office one day and the Dead Kennedys is absolutely blasting

-pre-Pine Guard, Mama was punk af and bonds with the Hornets over it

-Aubrey and Dani make funky earrings for each other

-Dani and Aubrey gave a pair of these earrings to Mama and she wears them all the time

-Barclay's favourite movie is Top Gun (1986) and it is one of 6 VHS tapes that are in the lobby at Amnesty Lodge

-The other 5 VHS tapes are Pretty in Pink (1986), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope (1977), Ghostbusters (1984), and Grease (1978)

-After the first time that Jake and Dani saw Ghostbusters, they'd sing the theme song everytime that Moira entered the room until Barclay begged them to stop

-Dani has a huge collection of the Sailor Moon comics that she's been collecting since she came to Earth

-Dani is always wearing Pink Lemonade or Peach Chapstick

-Jake on the other hand only likes the stupid, rare flavours like Vanilla Mint and Pumpkin Pie and he begs Mama to get him any weird flavour she sees when she's out and about

-Jake still has his old Hornets jacket with a ton of pins on it that Hollis stole for him from the Hot Topic in the mall in the next town over

-Jake doesn't text, but he writes ":), :0, >:3, etc." out by hand

-Kirby always has Bowling for Soup playing in the Cryptonomica

-Kirby, Aubrey, Dani, Jake, Hollis, and Keith all went to Warped Tour 2019 together

-Kirby drinks Bang! energy drinks but only Purple Haze and Sour Heads

-Kirby and Jake become friends after Kirby inherits the Cryptonomica and Kirby and Jake play Mario Kart in the back room

If I remember correctly it was previously established that Duck, Leo, and Mrs Pearson lived in a set of apartments and the fourth one is empty and like the idea of everyone crammed into this squishy living situation when there is an entire empty fucking apartment is absolutely hilarious

Like Dani is stumbling to brush her teeth in the morning and just goes straight through Moira who is kinda grouchy because you're only allowed to go though her once and this is the third time she's done this and Jake is still sleeping facedown on the floor in absolutely everyone's way. Minerva has broken like five bottle things in two days and Aubrey set the curtains on fire three times. Barclay keeps losing card games to this little old lady and he's constantly confused while she is blatantly cheating. all this mayhem is going on and everyone is like weve been living together for two months and I know way too much about you I need space god I need space and the empty apartment is right there
