More doesn't bring more!
by Dr.Harald Wiesendanger– Klartext What the mainstream media is hiding Of course, exercise is healthy. But more doesn’t help; on the contrary: too much physical activity, such as intensive fitness training, is not good for anyone. Excessive consumption promotes heart disease and reduces life expectancy. You waste time and effort without benefiting. An American doctor backs up this surprising…

Which kind of tea, green tea or black tea, is better for lowering blood pressure?
Lowering blood pressure can be quite challenging, and many people with hypertension can relate to this. Every millimeter of mercury (mmHg) reduction in blood pressure is a long-term gift obtained through strict medication adherence, a healthy diet, and moderate exercise.
However, scientists have discovered a group of people who can easily lower their blood pressure with a simple and small habit. After just 12 weeks, they achieved significant blood pressure reduction.
They found that long-term tea consumption reduced the average systolic and diastolic blood pressure by 1.8 mmHg and 1.4 mmHg, respectively.
So, which type of tea is best for lowering blood pressure?
Part 1: Although there are many types of tea in the market, such as green tea, black tea, oolong tea, white tea, yellow tea, and chrysanthemum tea, most studies on the relationship between tea consumption and blood pressure focus on green tea and black tea.
Researchers from the Fuwai Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences published a meta-analysis in the British Journal of Nutrition, which included 25 relevant studies and 1,476 participants. They found that people who drank green tea had a significant reduction in systolic blood pressure by 2.1 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure by 1.7 mmHg. In contrast, those who drank black tea had a reduction of 1.4 mmHg in systolic blood pressure and 1.1 mmHg in diastolic blood pressure. Therefore, long-term consumption of green tea seems to be more effective in controlling blood pressure.
Another meta-analysis by foreign scholars also found that green tea had a more significant blood pressure-lowering effect than black tea.
Frequent consumption is key
Although many studies suggest that tea consumption can help lower blood pressure, this does not mean that people with hypertension who do not have a tea-drinking habit can immediately lower their blood pressure by drinking a cup of tea. After all, tea is not medicine.
Researchers from the Fuwai Hospital found that acute tea intake had no effect on systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Blood pressure reduction only became significant after drinking tea for more than 12 weeks, with systolic blood pressure decreasing by 2.6 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure decreasing by 2.2 mmHg.
In addition to "long-term," some scholars suggest that the frequency of tea consumption is also related to blood pressure reduction. Hodgson et al. evaluated the effect of long-term regular tea consumption on blood pressure in older women. A total of 218 women over 70 years old were included in the study. The results showed that tea intake was related to a significant reduction in systolic and diastolic blood pressure. An increase of 250 ml/day (one cup) of tea intake was associated with a 2.2 mmHg reduction in systolic blood pressure and a 0.9 mmHg reduction in diastolic blood pressure.
This suggests that frequent tea consumption may have a beneficial effect on blood pressure in older women.
Furthermore, a study on blood pressure and tea consumption in the elderly population in Jiangsu, China, involving 4,579 participants, found a significant negative correlation between tea consumption frequency and systolic and diastolic blood pressure after adjusting for age, sex, lifestyle, and other factors.
In conclusion, although many studies have shown that tea consumption can help lower blood pressure, it is important not to make the tea too strong.

#zeno's art#i'm not sure if i should tag the show itself as i'm not a fan but i guess its “fan”art so i will#hazbin hotel#charlie hazbin hotel#vivziepop#i was bored and wanted to draw something#my main goal here was to create a design that looked distinct and could (potentially) be moderately easy to animate#of course based on charlie's character i added as many angel images as possible through the hair and bowtie#(i know white on white is a character design sin but i wanted to show the angel wing detail ;w;)#also to express the personality and juxtaposition of a sweet devil her horns are supposed to curve into a heart shape#of course the garterbelts are upside-down/st peters crosses because of her satanic themes#i also tried to go harder into the goat theme but its still subtle i think#i actually think the goat theme is really interesting because of the story of the sheep and the goats in the bible#but i cant remember if it was actually something intended in her original design#i'm not going to draw anyone else so dont even anticipate that#this was basically a cooldown? ok i think i'm rambling now#goodbye#ok edit to say it clearly: i am not a fan of vivziepop or her work. i just wanted to redesign charlie as a cooldown/exercise for fun#because i used to be a fan of the character before i wised up about what vivzie had and has done#and before i matured and noticed the cracks and fundamental flaws in her works#so yea i dont support her at all and this redesign is critical i guess#also the reason why the tag “vivziepop” is there in the first place is so that anyone who has that tag silenced can scroll past#without seeing anything related to her work. in case that clears anything up#its the same reason why i tag “long post” and “food” and the like

Post-TTP, both Artemis and Butler have been marked by their adventures with the People. This scene has been (more or less) the basis of my headcanon that in the later books, Artemis experiences chronic pain.
#artemis fowl#TBF Artemis disliking physical activity is a preference of his. He finds exercise and sports to be boring#I am not trying to pathologize that preference of Artemis (that is established in the early books)#but separate from preference about physical activity#I think Artemis experiences mild to moderate joint pain and migraines

I feel like the drastic lifestyle change coping options for me this winter will be:
a) start eating organ meat from my roommate’s work*
b) get into trail running in the mountains at 7:00 AM on weekends
c) crochet a blanket
d) swing from being a staunch Trader Joe’s avoider to one of those people whose every bite of food comes from the trader
e) break another rib
*farm school roommate, NOT ecoburial roommate
#is this unhinged?? I’m actually weller the past few days than I feel like I’ve been in like. a month. lol#I really feel like I’ve regained a sense of resiliency and joie de vivre again#the last month was really really hard like I shan’t get into it but it was a moderate breakdown#but I just had an amazing weekend full of things I love and good people and brunch and fun#and my rib is soooooo close to being healed enough for exercise

One of the big reasons I think that it's always a bit of a bad thing to forget the Endless really aren't human:
Is because, and I admit here that this is from the POV of someone who does most, if not quite all, of my fanfics from a Death-centric perspective flip both because Gaiman did Dream well and like prequel Anakin there is only so much man pain and mangst I can take before wanting to reach through the screen and strangle the son of a bitch. Disliking Dream as a wangsty jackass who is the architect of almost all of his own problems does not mean being blind to how dysfunctional the Endless as a whole are.
Yet at the end of the day Dream is not your pantsfeels, he's the in-universe true architect of fear and maker of all nightmares, the guy who casually sends a woman to Hell because she told him no. He is inhuman and fickle and dangerous for any mortals that cross his path.......and as a being of story he is also bound by story-logic to pursue the path that makes the better story at the expense of multiple logical and even emotional reactions.
And in terms of this Dream is not really so different to the rest of the family. Even Destruction, when he walks off, very much remains an Endless and is still Destruction. He doesn't become human, he doesn't give up his powers and he goes into a long rambling set of justifications on that and believing simultaneously that the Endless interfere too much in human affairs and turns his group of friends into a minefield to ensure he stays hidden. Destruction, in short, is a flaming hypocrite at best and should not be taken as the reliable one true truth. None of the Seven Endless are that.
So what does all this have to do with Death? Simple. She will outlive the universe and Death of the Endless will be a title and a moment in time. Unlike any of the others she did outright completely quit and walked out and where Dream's captivity and Destruction's hippie moment didn't cause immediate unraveling of reality as opposed to the realm Death did. She is unlike the other six in ways that would and do contribute to why there's so much talking past each other.
The other six, even Destruction, all see their natures as intertwined with their functions, spheres, and all that go with them. Every hundred years for a day Death gives up all that power and becomes fully, truly mortal. She takes the step none of the others can bring themselves to do, and in spite of being the one that outlives the universe, she has died the most of all her kin and the DCU being what it is probably more than a few of those deaths were not pleasant ones. And this is without the equally logical assumption based on Overture that we only see the Earth mortal day, that there were and are such days on all worlds, in all forms of life.
And as I've brought this up before, too, Death's little apartment is not her realm. The realm is only glimpsed partially once, in her second miniseries and it looks every bit as dark as a realm called 'sunless lands' would. With the exception of Destruction all the other realms are seen in detail and not just a partial glimpse. Death has that detachment from that realm, which is as much a part of her as she of it.
In short, unlike the rest of her siblings I think Death is if anything in the comics the least truly focused on duty and much as I consider the 'none of them came for me' to be a good example of Dream's self-serving hypocrisy as he'd hate and scorn and react violently to anyone that actually did and Gaiman is repeatedly on record as noting that, I see the 'our purpose is our function' line as a bit of self-serving hypocrisy in the interest of cheering up her brother. Death couldn't and doesn't take dealing with her function or being an Endless well. She walked out, she keeps trying to turn herself mortal, she will one day continue to exist but no longer be an Endless.
Thus in the end, there is a great irony here. Dream is too rigidly bound by duty to ever truly entertain the idea that he could leave and figure out how to do so short of dying. Death is too frantically eager to discard her Endless status to figure out why anyone would, given the choice, choose to remain one even if it hurts them.
#death of the endless#sandman meta#endless family dysfunction#endless family hypocrisies#Dream's besetting hypocrisy is to be a king who exercises power without anything to moderate it#Destruction's hypocrisy is to proclaim the merit of not meddling in mortal life and then to have his friends killed to keep himself hidden#Death's hypocrisy in the show is to proclaim functions are purposes even when she abandons hers for 24 hours every single day#in the comics her hypocrisy is to expect her siblings to be open about themselves while she doesn't even bother to share very basic things#consider that in the comics her mortal day is well known enough that Mad Hettie knows#and all Dream has is a whisper of an enigma within a riddle within a dream#death tells dream to talk about his problems and he doesn't even know one of the most fundamental truths about his sister#and she doesn't tell him either

living vicariously through the description of your hike cause I miss like, serious rigorous exercise so bad... the downside of liking physical activity as much as I do is that you might get a permanent spine injury. anyway did you see any cool plants or animals while you were out there? the trail by the house I grew up in had so many adorable snakes!! and lemonadeberries, which you can literally just grab off the branch and snack on while walking lol
lemonade…berries??? i have never heard of such things… that sounds utterly whimsical… woagh… i’ve like never really encountered wild berries that i trusted enough to eat. i mean i probably could eat like the raspberries blackberries and blueberries i find (i think those are the ones) but i’d never do it probably… i didn’t really see any plants or animals that i remember! other than this cool bird that i must’ve forgotten to take a photo of. got some amazing views but i think my photos all contain people in them
#rip 😔 i’ll try to get more exercise on your behalf. i need to take advantage of my physical state while i can#i don’t exercise as much as i should but when i do it’s always something insane. idk#no moderate basic routines it’s either absolutely nothing or it’s RUNNING and CLIMBING. i’m gonna kill myself accidentally someday#but again like. i want to learn to do small things. i envy that#asks#dj-of-the-coven

I really want to actually start exercising (I know I can, must, and will get back to doing at least 1-2 yoga classes per week but my schedule has been fucked with two jobs and it will be fucked again with 1 job+ school) but whenever I think about what I could Actually do I’m like. What am I going to do, just do this for the rest of my life? And I know I’m not going to follow through bc there’s quite literally nothing I do consistently at all so I go what’s the point…
#I can be such a lethargic person so I think moderate exercise would do so much for me#yoga is great for me in this way but I’d like to do more bc it’s not easy to fit into my schedule anymore#schedule has been fucked yes but yoga is literally perfect exercise for me and I didn’t stay consistent enough with that either so!
