Episode 3: The Man And The Minister

Once again, a BIG apology to everyone for the long hiatus. I will try to update consistently every Sunday, or Monday at the latest, and you'll be informed of any hiatuses I may take.

Once again, please check the trigger warnings before proceeding, since this story will probably have death, violence and angst and mentions of blood.

Veena liked to think that she was as easy to play as the stringed instrument she was named after. 

Which was to be said, not easy at all.

It wasn’t that she considered herself completely infallible. It was just that growing up with someone like Aditi for a sister, she had quickly adjusted herself to dodge any tricks or pranks the latter might pull, developing a mind sharper and more skeptical than most in the process. 

The woman was equal parts wary and weary. 

So could you blame her for being disbelieving when her sister came barging into her chambers at the first ray of sunlight, declaring that she had turned into some sort of monster the previous night? 

“You did? Strange, I didn’t hear any complaints from the cooks about late night kitchen raids from last night,” she answered, completely unruffled, and added with a twinge of annoyance, “Although, I wouldn’t know, seeing as they’re probably still asleep.” 

“I’m not joking, Veena,” The older woman answered, slightly miffed. 

“You expect me to believe that you turned into some sort of eldritch horror out of nowhere?” 

“It would be nice if you did.” 

“Go back to sleep, Aditi.” 

“No. Hear me out first.”

“Stop being annoying.” 

“And if I don’t?”

“I’ll tell mother. I'll get her to confine you to your quarters or something.” 

"Oh no, I'm so scared," Aditi retorted sarcastically. 

"I'll tell her about your little excursions.”

Aditi narrowed her eyes. “How do you even know about that?”

Veena smiled smugly.

“I know a lot.” In actuality, she had been told by Rekha, who, in addition to being Aditi's companion and handmaiden, was also Veena's good friend. 

“You wouldn’t.” 

“No?” Veena stuck a foot out of her bed threateningly. “Watch me.” 

Aditi glared, and turned on her heel to leave.

“This isn’t over!” She called out over her shoulder. Veena simply grunted and waited for her sister’s retreating footsteps to recede.

Once she was sure Aditi wouldn’t come back, she smirked triumphantly and immediately flopped down into her bed.

Bhavin felt his skin prickle as he entered the dark, lair-like room. It was dimly lit, and he could see a man sharpening his sword. For a moment, the man ignored Bhavin's presence. And then, not lifting his head from his work, he spoke. 

“And what brings you here, Minister Bhavin?”

“The Maharaj and Maharani of Nelaghati plan to hand over the throne to their elder daughter, the crown princess, soon,your highness.”

The other man tilted his head slightly, but he did not turn to look at the minister. 

“So the Yuvrajnee will ascend the throne in her parents' lifetime? It is rare, but not unheard of. Is that all you wanted to say?”

The minister was now losing his patience. 

“Princess Aditi… she is much more powerful than her ageing parents,” He said testily. “Once she ascends the Nelaghati throne, she will only get more powerful.”

“What, exactly, am I supposed to do about that?”  

“Stop them.”

The man turned around. 

“Now, Minister Bhavin, do not be so senseless. Am I to stroll in and tell them to please put a hold on crowning Princess Aditi as the queen, because one of our ministers is scared of the power she may wield?”

“YOUR HIGHNESS-” 

“It would do you no good to raise your voice at me, minister,” The man cuts in. “The king may be extremely lenient with you, but I assure you, I subscribe to no such niceties.”

“My apologies, your highness. I meant stop them another way.”

“What other way?”

“Your highness, you know full well what I am talking about. ”

The man's eyes narrow.

“I'm afraid I do not. Enlighten me, Minister Bhavin. How exactly am I to stop Princess Aditi's coronation?”

“Kill Princess Aditi. Kill her before she can ascend the throne.”

“Minister Bhavin,” The man began coldly, “Do you wish Nelaghati to wage war upon us?”

“Maharaj Sagar and Maharani Arundhati can be easily stopped. They are old, and grow frailer by the day. If Princess Aditi becomes queen and decides to wage war upon us, she will defeat us with ease. We will stand no chance. This is for the good of Alinthi.”

“You forget that war is not fought by one or two people. Even if they cannot fight themselves, they certainly have displayed enough tactical skill in our previous tussles to have a fighting chance.”

“Your highness-”

“Even if, somehow, you're correct, why should I? Do you suddenly hold a higher rank than I, that I was not informed of?”

“No, your highness. These are his majesty's orders. You are to leave at once. I-I would have told you earlier but…”

The man froze, much to the minister's satisfaction. But when he spoke, his voice betrayed no hint of emotion. 

“Is that so? The King's orders?” He asked quietly. “Well, then, I had better get going. I'd do well to fulfill my elder brother's wishes as soon as possible, no?”

That evening, Aditi lay on her stomach on Veena's bed, idly sifting through the messages addressed to her. 

“Two suitors today,” She said, wrinkling her nose. “I must be getting rather popular.”

Rekha, who was braiding Veena's hair, clucked her tongue disapprovingly. 

"As if you needed any more boosts to your ego. Didn't you send out a public declaration that all suitors would be rejected?"

"Oh, yeah," Veena piped up. "You used lots of big words. I did not realise you knew that many."

Aditi stuck her tongue out at her younger sister. 

"You are not worth my time. Anyway, that announcement was last week, so this must've been sent before then. It's from the kingdom of Nethilor, and they're very far away."

"Are you going to write a reply?"

Aditi sighed. 

"I probably should. It's so annoying, writing the same thing again and again. My deepest apologies, but the prospect of romantic and sexual relationships does not intrigue me one bit, et cetera, et cetera."

She pauses for a second, considering something. 

"How come Veena never gets any suitors?" She asks,tilting her head. "She came of age months ago, and everyone keeps going on and on about her beautiful dark skin and her soulful black eyes and luscious curls and whatnot. Makes me wonder whether we're even looking at the same person."

Veena harrumphed. "What makes you think I don't have a stash of them hidden away in a drawer somewhere?"

Rekha did not look too excited about the prospect. 

"Well," She began, "Aside from the fact that the servants would've discovered it in a few minutes' time? You would've come running to rub it in our faces." 

"HA! Thank you, Rekha." Aditi grinned smugly at Veena. 

Veena ignored Aditi. "Are you jealous of my would-be suitors, Rekha dearest? Surely you do not want to whisk me away for yourself?"

Rekha laughed derisively, reddening slightly. 

"Of course not. If you ever find someone for yourself, I shall be cheering for you the loudest. But what about me?"

"What about you?"

Rekha stops braiding her hair and loops her hands around Veena's neck, grinning. 

"Your lover would whisk you away, and I would be left here alone without you. What am I to do then?"

A dark flush forms on Veena's cheeks. "I-"

"Then I would have to deal with Aditi myself. You wouldn't subject me to that, would you…" Still grinning impishly, she adds, "Dearest?"

Aditi makes a face at the duo, who were doubled over laughing. 

"Laugh at me all you want, neither of you will be the ruler of Nelaghati in a few months' time. I suppose you need your simple pleasures."

"Yeah, yeah. What're the rest of the messages?"

Aditi sifts through them once again. 

"Nothing I haven't dealt with already. I suppose I'm free to take another look at the book, then."

Rekha paled. "You still have it?" 

"Of course I still have it, Rekha. It's a magical book. I can't just give it to the very first person at our doorstep."

Veena looked unimpressed. "A magical book? Is this related to the monster you were talking about this morning?"

"In fact, it is."

"A monster?!" Rekha nearly screamed.

"Don't worry, Rekha, it's probably not even real."

It did make sense that Veena would not believe her, Aditi supposed. Magic was something limited to only a few kingdoms, and as far as anyone knew, Nelaghati and any of its surrounding territories did not qualify. 

This did lead to a lot more questions than she had bargained for the previous night. If she wanted to know more about this, she would have to do some digging around. 

She sighed and held her hands up in surrender. 

"I'll show you later, okay? Right now, I need to go."

"Where to?"

"To figure some things out."

The WinterShield Bingo is a marvel fandom event dedicated to the romantic relationship between Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes! As such, polyships are not allowed here. Ex: Steve/Bucky/Sam, Steve/Reader/Bucky, Steve/OFC/Bucky, Steve/OMC/Bucky, Steve/NBOC/Bucky, and any other variation.

However, Bucky/Steve/Bucky and Steve/Bucky/Steve are allowed. Work whatever author magic you'd like to get more than one version of our lovely captain and his sergeant in one universe. The world is your oyster.

This is a no pressure event and you can complete your fills at your own pace.

Sign ups are currently open and as long as your works are at least 250 words, feel free to post to the event collection beginning December 25th. After this date, the collection will be open indefinitely.

As revenge, he planned to breed Aragorn the Dog and Boromir the Dog to make Legolas II and Gimli II

Boromir left the game

Aragorn promptly hunted Merry down before he could

he beat Merry to death with a fish, then used his mod powers to strike Merry with lightning. 

Aragorn the dog and Boromir the Dog ended up dying too, as when Aragorn killed Merry, they attacked him and he KO’ed the dogs.

Merry held another funeral for Aragorn the dog and Boromir the Dog 

Spams the crouch to dance/bop

He’s tried to follow Aragorn around (with Pippin of course)

Aragorn somehow knew they were following him, even though they were crouching and shot them dead with a trident

They essentially get him to do stuff such as ‘Collect A stack of glow stone for 30 gold’ or something like that

He’s only died twice

He got beaten to death by Sam with a raw fish 

The second death was by Bill the Pony, it was so brutal that Aragorn stared at the ‘You Died’ screen for five minutes straight 

Usually hanging out with Boromir, Legolas, and Gimli

Get’s his weapons + armour from Gimli

Has made a beautiful monument/statue of Arwen 

Its veryyyyyyyyyyyy far tho

He sends letters to Legolas (Delivered by Pippin) in Elvish. But it’s just silly stuff

Always exploring, he buys maps from Frodo

Collects rare items

He’s got stuff from the Nether to the Ocean Monument

Trades with Gandalf in regards of Nether wart, blaze rods, etc

He can usually find Pippin whenever he gets lost exploring

His base is at Rivendell

He also built a secret Ranger base cuz he loves his ranger homies

Has a great sense of direction (from his Ranger skills) and is able to get to everyone else’s bases with Coordinates or maps

Fills out Frodo’s maps for him

As much as I want to say he has a great mic, he doesn’t

He really gives the vibes of having the most crappiest and spotty mic.

“Fr—o- I —— *KSHHH*—- sun——, isn’t that right?”

Frodo: 👁️👄👁️ …. Right.

Despite this, he constantly tries to still use his mic until someone tells him they can’t understand him

Ends up using the chat halfway through

But uses full on sentences with perfect grammar and everything

Legolas

Rebuilt a new and improved Greenwood

On his father’s throne, there’s a sign in Elvish that says ‘Doodoo head’

He somehow breaks into Aragorn’s base and leaves silly insults written on a book and quills or signs

Such as “you stupid” “u ugly” “doodoohead” “yo mom” “ur musty”

Legolas absolutely loves doing it

Didn’t get Minecraft at first

When I say he was a noob in the first few hours of playing, HE WAS A NOOB NOOB

Aragorn and Pippin had to guide him through

Usually found PvP’ing with Gimli

For the life of him, he cannot keep a pet

It’s like bad luck

No matter how hard he keeps the pet safe, they’re always killed

Merry’s graveyard is filled with his previous pets

Swore to never tame another animal

A god at decorating

Whereas Merry is good at building, Merry is horrible at decor. And so, he helped out with decorating Merry and Pippin’s base (which is how Pippin learned how to decorate)

They cornered Legolas and started to do the Crouch bop and begged for him to help out

Legolas will not admit aloud but he found it endearing

He has a soft spot for the hobbits lmao

However, he has shot both Merry and Pippin with potions arrows

Hasn’t killed them tho

Legolas’s skin was made by your truly, Merry

(NOTE: I made this back in likeeee 2021 (?), wrote a huge chunk after this line, forgot to press save, only had it up to here, and I had to just put my phone down. The frustration I felt 😭 Buuut it’s been sitting in my drafts for literally years cuz I was THAT frustrated and had no motivation to try and remember/rewrite what I lost. Was just checking out my drafts and remembered I haven’t finished it. So, Voilà.)

Enjoys annoying Gimli IMMENSELY

Is absolutely helpless when it comes to mining and the Nether. Most of his deaths come from either mining (Falling from tall heights, suffocating from gravel, falling in lava) and the Nether (Again, falling in Lava, trying to kill Pigmen, trying to sleep in the Nether)

As expected, absolute god at archery

Great at parkour and makes parkour in Greenwood

Once the group defeated the Ender dragon, he was the first to use Elytra and LOVES it

Has a good mic but usually forgets to mute himself

Also writes in full sentences, proper grammar and fancy words in chat

Gamer Tag - LEG0_LAS

Gimli

Obviously he’s the miner friend

He’s a proud dwarf, so of course he’s gonna do what his people do best

Rebuilt Erebor/The Lonely Mountain, the Glittering caves/the White Mountains, and The Misty Mountains

Like he really went crazy with the builds

But it was all because he had too much blocks

Makes extremely complicated and vast mines

Even Aragorn gets turned around

They all somehow connect and Merry n’ Pippin get lost every time they try to explore his mines

He has to go retrieve them every time

In the end, he made some rails that directly connect everyone’s bases so that no one (the hobbits) gets lost

An absolute demon at Redstone

Secret doors, bases, and passages

He has A LOT of resources

Collects everything that he mines even if it’s Andesite

He made the Lonely Mountain as a base for all the materials

Literally chests upon chest filled with resources

Trades with the fellowship

The hobbits trade any enchanted books or food for building supplies

Aragorn and Boromir trade meats, wood, and dye for armour and tools

Gandalf trades enchanted books, potions, and exotic stuff he finds for potion materials (lapis, redstone, glowstone, gold, spider eye, coal, etc.) and a place to stay lmao

At the beginning, both Legolas and Gimli refused to trade with each other

Begrudgingly, Legolas began to trade other types of wood and rare items or loot like a Trident for building materials, nether materials and ores once he realized that he was hopeless with mining and the Nether

Enemies to BFFS fr

They do lots of competitions and prank wars

Dabbles in enchantment, makes high quality armour and weapons

Uses an axe for combat

Repairs any abandoned mineshafts he finds

Best builder in the fellowship

Everyone has to spam the chat in order for him to go to sleep for a quick sec

the only times he isn’t underground is when there’s a raid at one of Boromirs villages, trading with the fellowship (and even then, he’ll just send Pip to deliver it or send it in a minecart chest) or group events/quests

Otherwise, he won’t be seen for DAYS

Brings the whole squad down into the Deep Dark to fight the Warden

Has an ok mic, usually fine but occasionally cuts out

Writes in shortened words in the chat

Ur, K, gtg, brb, r, cya

It annoys Gandalf and Legolas

Boromir

He’s the type to find villages, fix it up and improve it

Turned an Abandoned zombie village into Minas Tirith and healed the zombie villagers

He’s decent at building but not the best with creative builds

Basically only good at building Gondorian architecture and medieval style architecture

Claimed a huge chunk of land that nobody was using and named it Gondor

He looks after numerous villages and maintains them

But likes to visit everyone, tours Gimli’s mines, tries out Legolas’s parkour in Greenwood, stays at Rivendell and helps out Aragorn with whatever he’s doing, and ‘vacations’ at the Shire

(Merry and Pippin mainly drag him into whatever shenanigans they’re up to)

A duo with Aragorn when it comes to adventures

Exploring the Nether, bastions, jungle temples, desert temples, ocean monuments, the deep dark, and the End.

Amazing at combat and PVP

Uses a shield, sword, and occasionally a crossbow

Also has a soft spot for the hobbits

Merry and Pippin definitely exploit the crouch bopping to convince him

He was the one that found Frodo’s secret dungeon underneath his smial

Once it got boring when nothings really happened with his villages (he of course already expanded them and built fortifications like walls) he ended up claiming another chunk of unused land and recreated Rohan

He loves Rohan so he couldn’t help himself

Got into horse breeding he was finishing up Edoras

Made roads connecting everyone’s builds and bases

When he finished, that’s when he realized that Gimli already did that but underground

Boromir, exhausted and sounding defeated: “why didn’t you tell me before I started this project?”

Gimli: “how was I supposed to know! I thought you knew the railways were all connected to every base”

Merry and Pippin will often get blamed for Gandalf’s traps and it started a war

As everyone’s fighting it out, Gandalf is watching with a small smile on his face

I'm excited to try your Alex Immersive mod when it comes out. 🤩 I've never dated him in the vanilla game, but I'd love to explore his character and see what makes him so popular. Your mods have always added amazing depth to my gameplay experiences, and I'm really looking forward to the new cutscenes and dialogues in this one. I wonder how the dynamics between Alex and Haley will change when the Farmer starts pursuing Alex. Will there be tension or jealousy between them? I've had similar experiences with your Sam Immersive mod, and I had to witness my Farmer experiencing heartbreak when they saw Sam hanging out with Penny. I'm curious to see if a similar situation will unfold with Alex in your new mod. 👀✨

Here's my current take, high level to not spoil anything, and as always is subject to change :)

Alex starts out as very concerned with what others think of him and his identity is wrapped up in his gridball skills and being perceived as strong and talented, he keeps up a front to protect this identity. He has a strong sense of loyalty and duty to his grandparents since they took him in when he needed them most. He has known Haley since they were kids and they grew up together, she being the cheerleader and he the jock, so Alex feels they are "supposed" to be together, even though they've never really been in a romantic relationship (vanilla dialogue, I don't take into account the additional dialogue from other mods). He's afraid of losing people after what happened with his parents, and that loyalty extends to Haley since they have known each other so long.

After getting to know the farmer, he starts dropping his guard, but only with the farmer. This happens gradually, it will take time for Alex to get close to someone new due to his fear of anyone seeing past his defenses and seeing him as inferior. He wants to be the person others come to for help, but has a hard time asking for help himself. Once the farmer gets past his guard to the real Alex, he's sweet, caring and extremely romantic, putting others before himself. And the story will continue from there…

Haley will have something to say about all this, it won't be ultra drama though since we're not in high school, but she's definitely the one following Alex around in the vanilla dialogue and needs some character growth to find her own identity. I plan to add this in Alex's mod as well, though not in the same depth as Alex himself. So we'll just see where the writing takes us!

Story of the ship:

One day sam goes to stay guest with his friends at their friend's relative (some characters in the mod that I didn't put name yet) and they will stay there for 2 months (dont ask why-), at the 3th day Sam wokes up on the middle of the night with a sound and goes to check in and saw robbert (the intruder robbing the house bit by bit) and Sam gone silent and scared, he never seen a guy like this before (Sam is new to that neighborhood) robbert realize Sam was there but don't want to make a scene and risk shet, so he just slowly walks up to Sam and put his hand on his shoulder, then whisper to his ear "you won't tell anyone about this..right? This will be our little sweet secret~" ofc Sam was terrified but also fell all warm (bro fall for the intruder lol) then robbert just take the stuff he put on his bag and left, the next day, everyone was talking about the robbery and Sam did not tell them a thing, after that robbert not only goes around houses to rob but also visits Sam sometimes to warn him about the coincidences, fully knowing how sam is fell for robbert.

Call it Weird if ya want, at least it's stable (some kind-)
