Ngl I want Madame M and Tifa interact more in part 3. Seem like Madame M has taken a liking to Tifa, complimented her talent and even gave her a free hand massage. Maybe in part 3, Tifa will save Madame M from some trouble and Madame M will be like "I don't need these clothes anymore so you can take it, girl." in a tsundere way to show her gratitude.

I love when tiger mom character struggles to express her fondness of a daughter like character. It's just peak dynamic. Tifa needs more older woman figure in her life, or just female figure in general. Also show us Thea in part 3 SE, you can't hide her forever! I need to Thea!!!

My first proper mod!

This is a texture replacer for 'the other one,' I designed it for Vega and her two love interests (Songbird and Madame President), but if your V's OTP is So Mi or Rosalind Myers, then maybe this is for you!

I'll probably upload to the Nexus later today if you'd like to try them out.

Agalloch vinyl, patch/battle vest update + t shirt mod

My package of Agalloch merch arrived this week and I love everything in it 🖤

Look at this ridiculously beautiful vinyl. I thought they'd made a mistake and sent me the plain black, but then I noticed what happens when there's light behind it!

The record even came with an outer sleeve to protect it, with a hype sticker.

I also got a patch and a t shirt. The patch is now on my new, work-in-progress battle vest.

I don't think I posted about this but I also refinished the arm holes on this thing. Originally this was a jacket which I cut the sleeves off, and they were very ragged, plus the lining had become detached. You can see how messy they look in my original post.

I could have bought some leather-look binding tape, but I thought I'd check my stash first, and had this belt left over from a previous project, so I didn't need to spend any money.

I unpicked the stitching around the edges so it would be thinner and easier to work with (and that also doubled the amount I had!) then folded it around the edges of the armholes making sure to sandwich both the outer fabric and the lining inside it, then sewed in on. I had to do this by hand as I did not trust this fabric not to break my machine! I'd recommend using a leather needle and a thimble for this kind of thing, otherwise you will likely hurt your fingers.

Finally the t shirt. A "men's" small. I always get shirts intended for guys because they tend to be cheaper (even though they use more fabric???) and have better designs and more choice.

However, though clothing does not have a gender, "men's" shirts are big, boxy and like a tent on me, so I generally mod them. I will almost always cut out the neck and cut the sleeves off. My usual thing is to then do a cut-and-weave to make them smaller, but this time I decided to get the sewing machine out and resize it.

My method is exactly the same as that used by Madame Absinthe in this tutorial. It's pretty intuitive if you know how to sew, but I'm sure it will be helpful to many who are new to sewing. I'd actually recommend her entire channel, she's an extremely talented professional seamstress and does many videos on thrifting and sewing.

Here's my finished shirt. I don't know if the camera angle is just weird or if I've made the lower hem lopsided (I did crop it very slightly to make it shorter), but whatever, I can pretend it's deliberate 😜 I doubt anyone will even notice when I'm wearing it.
