[031] @mochi_creme // Japanese Ice Cream ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tried these today, Mango and Strawberry Mochi Ice Cream. Both flavors are good. And the mochi layer is also good, a little thick on the part where they seal in the ice cream but it's okay. Hehe.😁 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #365leo2021 #Mochicream #Mochi #IceCream #MangoMochiIcecream #StrawberryMochi #TrySomethingNew #FoodiesInternationalChat https://www.instagram.com/p/CKtzk_vFtkY/?igshid=1d5x5l07s41e7

Mitsuwa Marketplace, 3525 W Carson St Suite 164, Torrance, CA 90503
This Mitsuwa location opened at Del Amo in late 2020. You can’t see it from inside the mall. You have to head outside the mall (the outdoor part of the mall) and turn right to see it. It’s a larger Mitsuwa location – a full size supermarket with a bookstore, food court, bakery, Royce, J Sweets, Mochicream, Shiseido, etc. The food stalls include ramen, udon, Korean rice dogs, takoyaki, mochi donuts, and more. And there’s a large indoor seating area and patio seating as well.
The market is clean and organized. The produce section is relatively small and they don’t have as large of a prepared food section as Tokyo Central but they do have sushi, curry, bento boxes, sandwiches, beef gyudon, katsu don, onigiri, etc. The prepared foods are reasonably priced.
They have fresh fish, meat, seafood, eggs, snacks, rice, tea, tofu, noodles, cold beverages, ice cream, kitchenwares, beauty products, liquor, etc. They have a few brand exclusives like Tada Natural Farm which makes yogurt!
Mapo tofu bowl ($6.95): Pretty good, lots of sauce and even a little spicy heat, tender cubes of tofu, steamed rice
There are a few self-checkout stations as well as cashiers.
5 out of 5 stars.

Shanghai Pudong Airport, S1 Yingbin Expy, Pudong Xinqu, Shanghai Shi, China
We had a connecting flight to Japan with a 3-hour layover at Shanghai Pudong Airport. Once we disembarked, we had to walk a long way to the transfer desk and then had to go through airport security again. The security checkpoint didn’t make us take off our shoes, nor was there a full body imaging machine. They had the older metal detectors. Security personnel were courteous but they inspected many bags, if not most bags, so it took a long time to clear the security checkpoint.
Our gate was in the basement. That part of the airport looked drab and about 20 years old. The upstairs area was definitely nicer and had a good amount of mostly local shops and restaurants, plus Starbucks. I noticed a cream puff shop, patisserie, Mochicream, etc. You can enjoy congee for breakfast and get fish balls at Tsui Wah Restaurant. Complimentary warm drinking water was provided. It tasted like mud. The drink vending machine looked like something you’d find in Japan, but it only accepted local Chinese currency. Use of luggage carts is complimentary.
The free wi-fi was terrible. You enter your Chinese phone number to connect or there are machines that will provide free wi-fi codes for people without a Chinese phone number. My code worked, but I was still unable to use the internet. There were very few outlets.
I was surprised that when it was time to board, we had to take a bus to the plane. It felt like we traveled several miles before reaching the plane. To board the plane, you have to climb a flight of stairs (it’s not handicap accessible). The airport seems to be in the middle of a major expansion. It currently has two terminals.
