Hot Take: Mochi Mayhem needed more story to it

I have a little bit of a pet-peeve of when media needs to create more media to explain itself? I feel like in the story of Scarlet and Violet you don't get the connection between the 3 and Pecharunt. If you want to know you have to watch the YouTube Video Posted on the Pokemon YouTube Channel To get the missing parts of the story. But why couldn't we get this info while playing the game?

Like Pecharunt canonically had Carmine under its control first, and we know Percharunt can control what people say, etc. So why couldn't Pecharunt use Carmine to vocalize why it was suddenly possessing the people of Kitakami? It also would have been nice to see Carmine have a bigger role than just Mochi Mochi dance. It would have been cool to see Pecharunt use Carmine and Nemona together as a defense against the protag and Kieran. That would have made for a cool double battle, especially with Carmine's Pokemon's assistance moves buffing Nemona's team. Or having both Carmine and Nemona get new team members for that final battle to increase the difficulty of that final fight.

It would have been nice too to see more people struggle with the brainwashing as well. For example, have Nemona gain a little more control during battles or have Carmine snap out of control for a second if Kieran gets hurt. I would have loved to see that little bit of struggle and to have actual dialog like when you have the 3 and Ogerpon in your party against Pechant for that final battle before everyone is free from mind control.

Anyone else love both Kieran and Carmine like me? I know they’ve both got flaws and extremely poor communication skills, but I just can’t help love their relationship and character dynamic. Because despite the rough arguments and attitudes they have with each other, you can tell they deeply care about one another in their own way.

Plus, it was fun getting to see their journey together throughout all 3 DLCs (Although I wish we could’ve battled Possessed Carmine during Mochi Mayhem)

I’ve been in love with Azula since I was a child she was apart of my awakening for sure along with helping build my personality 🤣 like I remember watching her breakdown scene after her fight with Zuko and Katara and I was just like my god she’s crazy and now that I’m older seeing that scene with adult eyes and everything I’ve learned that scene literally hurts I genuinely hate hearing her scream and cry like it hurts my feelings so bad cause it’s like she was just a kid. A traumatized asf child. Like yes she did bad things let’s not sweep that under the rug but she was just doing those things for her father’s approval because we all know if she didn’t she would be treated like Zuko. Like I will always feel bad for both fire siblings they were both treated so bad it’s fucking awful

This might've gotten retconned, but I think I remember you saying that one of the reasons Mochi's dad might not have been in the picture was because he had to take care of things with his own coven and I guess I'm curious; are there any rules about Witch Covens mixing? Like would that be considered too much of a consolidation of power or just a logical partnership? (For Example, if one of the Raven witches brothers joining the Snake Witches coven, would that be seen as a way to ally both covens or a betreyal from the brother/The snake coven "stealing" a member?)

oooo this is actually an interesting question honest i havent thought about it!!! i dont think theres any hard-set rules about "mixing" guilds before, in my head ive always seen it as the kind of thing where any person/guild member has the right to choose if they want to be in your guild or not, or if they want to be in someone elses guild..

that being said, if corven rejected his sister to be in the snake covern i KNOW murda would be PISSED LMAO!!!! i can DEFINATELY see that happening if there's bad blood between siblings or something, maybe a son jealous that the daughter became a witch (because males cant inherit witch magic) and joins another guild out of spite

in the case of mochis dad, i think he was a guild member for someone else (and/or possibly a relative) BEFORE he knew tiramisu, so he already had obligations to them prior to falling in love.

but there ARE rules about too many witches being in close geographical proximity for too long. especially if its two or more members of the 5, having that much magic power concentrated together just attracts bad things...the coattails catch on, the m-34th gets winds, everyone suddenly knows theres witches in this area. so either mochis dad would have to leave his current guild or one of the witches (tiramisu and the other whose guild he was in) would have to give up their power, neither of which was going to happen unfortunately :')

i also think that theres no rules against leaving a guild. its made clear very early on that the guild position is a choice and youre never stuck in that path in life. but again for mochis dad, i think it was the kind of thing where he was so ingrained in that persons life that leaving wasnt an option (it would be like corven leaving murda, she depends on him for a lot of things and he cant just up and leave)
