Just a handful of late spring/early summer belly pics😌 Also to answer another ask, if someone mobile ordered food for me, of course I'd have to eat it, or it'd just be rude and wasteful🤷♂️😏
Side note, I saw another user is hosting a fall challenge; one pot pie, apple pie and 1 gal of cider. All in 5 hours.

“Porcelain Smile”
Monday, the next week.
"We can take today slow," Bucky said, as if reading your thoughts. "No pressure, alright?"
It was your first visit, and a mixture of fear and excitement knotted in your stomach. Maybe this would help… maybe it would bring something back.
You nodded, grateful for his patience. He’d been so sweet all week, giving you space even though it was clear he’d been hurting too.
After a while, you get out of bed. As you make your way to the living room, you’re greeted by a familiar face.
A former widow you could’ve sworn you’ve only seen in newspapers.
Yelena Belova was leaning against the kitchen counter, her eyes lighting up the moment she saw you.
"There she is," Yelena said with a hesitant grin, though there wasa softness in her voice.
You smiled weakly, feeling both comforted and awkward. Yelena walked over, pulling you into a hug without hesitation. When Yelena hugged you, her arms wrapped tight around your shoulders, you felt safe for a moment—until the smell of her perfume hit you. It was too familiar, too personal, and suddenly you couldn’t breathe.
She let go, stepping back with a smile, but you could only manage a weak nod in return. You had no idea what to say to a person who clearly loved you when you didn’t know if you loved her back.
"Don’t worry, you’ll remember soon," she murmured into your ear, though the words sound like more of a hope than a certainty.
Tuesday.
Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne stopped by today.
Scott was his usual self—at least that was what Bucky said—casually confident, cracking jokes the moment he stepped into the room like he was on stage at a comedy club, performing just for you. His humour was a welcome distraction, even though the memories he dredged up were cloudy at best.
“Hey, remember when we accidentally got you stuck in the quantum realm?” Scott said with a wide grin, nudging Hope as if the memory was a shared inside joke.
He laughed at the absurdity of it, but when you shook your head with a soft, apologetic smile, his grin faltered just a bit— enough for you to notice.
“Right,” he stumbled, “That’s alright! we’ll make new memories”
Hope, ever the more grounded of the two, caught the slight shift in his tone and gently jabbed his side with her elbow.
She turned to you, her eyes soft and sincere, her presence was calming in a way that let you breathe just a little easier.
“We’re just glad you’re here,” she said gently. She didn’t try to fill the silence with more words, didn’t push for you to remember or laugh at the right moments.
Scott shot you a thumbs up, his grin slowly returning as Hope rolled her eyes.
“Hey, at least I didn’t try to shrink the furniture this time,” Scott joked, trying once more. And this time, you found yourself smiling—just a little. A new memory, however small, was already in the making.
Wednesday.
Clint Barton dropped by this afternoon, a lopsided smile on his face and a pie in his hands, the warm scent of cinnamon and baked apples filled the room even before he walked in the door.
The flaky golden crust shimmered slightly in the light, and your stomach gave a quiet grumble in response.
As soon as you took a bite, you slumped back on the couch and hummed, satisfied. It was perfect.
The sweetness wasn’t overpowering, the spices were just right, You couldn't help but take another bite.
“Laura baked it for you," Clint said with a casual shrug, as if bringing over perfect pies was an everyday thing.
And maybe it was. Maybe you just didn’t remember.
He lingered in Bucky’s apartment for a while, longer than you thought he would
“You know," he said after a pause, "if you ever want to talk, or just need someone to listen... I’m around." There was no rush to his words, no pressure, just a simple offer.
Thursday.
Rhodey and Happy dropped by on Thursday, their presence steady and comforting. They didn’t say much about the memory loss, but somehow their casual banter helped ease the tension in the room.
Rhodey leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. "You still remember how to fight, right?" he teased, a small grin tugging at the corner of his mouth.
Happy chuckled from the other side of the room, finishing off a sandwich. "And drive. You better still remember how to drive. You’re not the kind of Avenger who has access to flying suits."
You smiled, even though you weren’t certain. "I think so," you said softly.
Rhodey nodded. "If you ever need a laugh, we’ve got plenty of embarrassing stories about you."
"Yeah," Happy chimed in, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Like that time at Clint’s old apartment. You remember that?"
You shook your head, laughing. "Do I want to remember?"
"Maybe not," Rhodey said, exchanging a knowing look with Happy. "But trust me, it was a good time."
Friday.
And then there was Bruce Banner. His visit was calming, his presence measured and kind. As he approached, squeezing in the low-ish ceiling of Bucky’s apartment, he gave you a small, reassuring squeeze on the shoulder.
“It’s going to take time,” he said, his voice low and deliberate, almost clinical in its precision. “But you’ll adjust. And the most important thing to remember is—” he paused, meeting your eyes, “we’re all here for you.”
Saturday.
It had been two weeks since you first arrived at Bucky’s apartment, two weeks since your life had spiralled into uncertainty.
More than two weeks now since the mission that went wrong.
In that short span of time, the unfamiliar walls around that belonged to Bucky had started to feel strangely like home. The corners of his space, once sparse and distinctly his, had now woven pieces of you into their strands—a small bracelet Bucky brought from your apartment to fiddle on when your anxious laid the bathroom sink, a mug he designated to you sitting half-full on the coffee table, a pair of slippers you didn’t know you had was lined up next to his by the door. Even the necessary things were a sweet reminder that you were welcome here— your toothbrush set next to his, the extra towels draped behind the door.
These were everything Bucky had picked up from your apartment to bring here.
It wasn’t much, but these little fragments of your life had started to make his apartment feel like a haven—a sanctuary. A place where you could at least try to slowly untangle the web of intricacies that had made its way into your life.
You might never untangle them fully, but at least you weren’t alone.
He had sensed your hesitation early on, of course. Bucky wasn’t one to miss even the subtlest of signs. He studied the way your shoulders tensed when you crossed this threshold of his home. He saw uncertainty in your eyes as you set your keys down (he had made a copy for you last week).
You’d tried to talk yourself out of this reliance, tried to convince yourself that staying longer would be too much for him, too invasive. But each time he brought you more things from your place, you couldn’t help but feel he was gently insisting you to stay, as if this was his silent way of reminding you that you were exactly where he wanted you to be.
That evening, as you both sat nestled together on the couch, a familiar warmth blossomed in your chest, one that you have been getting more and more of over the last week or so. The soft glow from the single lamp bathed the room in golden hues, casting soft shadows that danced in rhythm with the flicker of the TV.
You were both wrapped in a cosy blanket, watching a movie that neither of you could focus on. The sound of distant traffic outside mixed with the gentle hum of the film.
You glanced over at him, his face half-illuminated by the artificial lighting. You saw the way his gaze seemed to soften when it fell on you. The corner of his mouth lifted in the smallest smile as he reached over, brushing a stray strand of hair away from your face. It was such a simple gesture, but the tenderness in it made your heart flip in a way you hadn’t expected it to
It was then that he spoke, as if he could sense the unease beneath your soft exhales. As if he could sense the doubt that maybe you were taking up too much of his space, too much of his time.
“You never wanted me to be alone,” he said, “I’m just doing the same for you.”
You felt the sincerity in his words settle over you. The way he looked at you, not a single doubt or flinch in his eyes, so gently—it was as if he was trying to make you understand that there was no place he’d rather be than right here, with you, and he hoped that you felt that way, too.
For the first time in weeks, you let yourself on him, and it felt like the most natural thing in the world. You rested your head on his shoulder, letting his steady presence ease the ache in your chest, if only a little. And in that small, fragile moment, you found a sliver of peace.
Saturday, the next week.
Before you knew it, another week had blurred into nothingness, each day slipping away like sand through your fingers. The visits had become a regular rhythm, a parade of familiar faces that felt both comforting and unsettling. They arrived with smiles and stories, eager to reignite the memories you couldn’t quite grasp, the moments that felt just out of reach.
You thought this week would be different. Maybe the warmth of their voices would spark something—a flicker of recognition, a flash of the last four years of your life. They shared tales of laughter, love, and loss, hoping to draw you back into their world.
Each narrative should’ve woven together like threads of connection, moments you should remember. Instead, they felt like echoes in an empty room.
“Remember when we...” they would begin, their eyes bright with anticipation. But all you could do was smile weakly, nodding along.
It wasn’t long before you felt the weight of their expectations pressing down on you. People kept implying that you would eventually remember, that the fog would lift.
Deep down, you felt the truth settle like a knot in your heart.
But you won’t.
It’s not coming back.
You knew it.
Even the doctors had delivered their verdict with grim professionalism just earlier today, their words lingering like a bitter aftertaste. "It would take a miracle," they had said with a mix of sympathy and resignation.
They had pitied you.
You sat in the guest room for a while, the faint sounds of Bucky cooking dinner drifting in from the kitchen. He was taking care of you, doing his best to help.
How do you even begin to tell him it’s not coming back?
Sunday.
That evening, his apartment felt quieter than ever.
Bucky sat beside you on the couch, his hand resting gently on your knee as you both watched. The sun sunk below the horizon through the window.
You take a deep breath, trying to push the words past the lump in your throat. "Bucky, I..." Your voice faltered.
Bucky’s fingers tightened around the handle of his mug, his knuckles turning white for a brief moment. You watched him closely, noting the way he tensed whenever you mentioned the past, as if he were bracing for a blow you couldn’t deliver.
"I don’t think it’s ever coming back."
The admission hangs in the air, the verdict final. You've been trying to push that thought away for days, clinging to the hope that things would somehow snap back into place, that your mind would unlock the memories of the last four years.
Deep down, you knew that’s not going to happen. And now, saying it out loud makes it feel real. Permanent.
Tears stung your eyes. Your voice started cracking as you continued, "I feel like everyone has been waiting for me, and I’m just letting everyone down."
Bucky pulled you closer, his strong arms wrapping around you protectively. At first, the tears came slow, unwilling, as if your body was fighting against it.
Then, after a shaky breath, the sobs ripped through you before you could stop them, your body folding in on itself.
Bucky’s arms were around you in an instant, holding you so tightly it almost hurt. You clung to him, but he didn’t flinch. His grip only tightened, his voice a low murmur in your ear, promising you were safe even as the world around you crumbled.
He rested his chin on top of your head, rocking you ever so slightly, trying to soothe the ache inside you.
"You don’t owe anyone anything.” His voice was soft, steady.
You bury your face deeper into his chest, the fabric of his shirt damp with your tears. "But I feel like I’ve lost something important."
Bucky tightened his grip on you, his heart breaking. He held back his thoughts, not telling you that part of him was glad you didn’t remember.
An ache that had been building for two weeks appeared again in his chest— relief mixed with shame. He hated himself for even thinking that way, but he couldn’t deny that the clean slate, this second chance, felt like a small mercy settling in the middle of all this dust.
But he couldn’t tell you that. He only held you closer, whispering reassurances you deserved to hear.

When Facebook came for your battery, feudal security failed
When George Hayward was working as a Facebook data-scientist, his bosses ordered him to run a “negative test,” updating Facebook Messenger to deliberately drain users’ batteries, in order to determine how power-hungry various parts of the apps were. Hayward refused, and Facebook fired him, and he sued:
https://nypost.com/2023/01/28/facebook-fires-worker-who-refused-to-do-negative-testing-awsuit/
If you’d like an essay-formatted version of this post to read or share, here’s a link to it on pluralistic.net, my surveillance-free, ad-free, tracker-free blog:
https://pluralistic.net/2023/02/05/battery-vampire/#drained
Hayward balked because he knew that among the 1.3 billion people who use Messenger, some would be placed in harm’s way if Facebook deliberately drained their batteries — physically stranded, unable to communicate with loved ones experiencing emergencies, or locked out of their identification, payment method, and all the other functions filled by mobile phones.
As Hayward told Kathianne Boniello at the New York Post, “Any data scientist worth his or her salt will know, ‘Don’t hurt people…’ I refused to do this test. It turns out if you tell your boss, ‘No, that’s illegal,’ it doesn’t go over very well.”
Negative testing is standard practice at Facebook, and Hayward was given a document called “How to run thoughtful negative tests” regarding which he said, “I have never seen a more horrible document in my career.”
We don’t know much else, because Hayward’s employment contract included a non-negotiable binding arbitration waiver, which means that he surrendered his right to seek legal redress from his former employer. Instead, his claim will be heard by an arbitrator — that is, a fake corporate judge who is paid by Facebook to decide if Facebook was wrong. Even if he finds in Hayward’s favor — something that arbitrators do far less frequently than real judges do — the judgment, and all the information that led up to it, will be confidential, meaning we won’t get to find out more:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/06/12/hot-coffee/#mcgeico
One significant element of this story is that the malicious code was inserted into Facebook’s app. Apps, we’re told, are more secure than real software. Under the “curated computing” model, you forfeit your right to decide what programs run on your devices, and the manufacturer keeps you safe. But in practice, apps are just software, only worse:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/06/23/peek-a-boo/#attack-helicopter-parenting
Apps are part what Bruce Schneier calls “feudal security.” In this model, we defend ourselves against the bandits who roam the internet by moving into a warlord’s fortress. So long as we do what the warlord tells us to do, his hired mercenaries will keep us safe from the bandits:
https://locusmag.com/2021/01/cory-doctorow-neofeudalism-and-the-digital-manor/
But in practice, the mercenaries aren’t all that good at their jobs. They let all kinds of badware into the fortress, like the “pig butchering” apps that snuck into the two major mobile app stores:
https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2023/02/pig-butchering-scam-apps-sneak-into-apples-app-store-and-google-play/
It’s not merely that the app stores’ masters make mistakes — it’s that when they screw up, we have no recourse. You can’t switch to an app store that pays closer attention, or that lets you install low-level software that monitors and overrides the apps you download.
Indeed, Apple’s Developer Agreement bans apps that violate other services’ terms of service, and they’ve blocked apps like OG App that block Facebook’s surveillance and other enshittification measures, siding with Facebook against Apple device owners who assert the right to control how they interact with the company:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/12/10/e2e/#the-censors-pen
When a company insists that you must be rendered helpless as a condition of protecting you, it sets itself up for ghastly failures. Apple’s decision to prevent every one of its Chinese users from overriding its decisions led inevitably and foreseeably to the Chinese government ordering Apple to spy on those users:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/11/11/foreseeable-consequences/#airdropped
Apple isn’t shy about thwarting Facebook’s business plans, but Apple uses that power selectively — they blocked Facebook from spying on Iphone users (yay!) and Apple covertly spied on its customers in exactly the same way as Facebook, for exactly the same purpose, and lied about it:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/11/14/luxury-surveillance/#liar-liar
The ultimately, irresolvable problem of Feudal Security is that the warlord’s mercenaries will protect you against anyone — except the warlord who pays them. When Apple or Google or Facebook decides to attack its users, the company’s security experts will bend their efforts to preventing those users from defending themselves, turning the fortress into a prison:
https://pluralistic.net/2022/10/20/benevolent-dictators/#felony-contempt-of-business-model
Feudal security leaves us at the mercy of giant corporations — fallible and just as vulnerable to temptation as any of us. Both binding arbitration and feudal security assume that the benevolent dictator will always be benevolent, and never make a mistake. Time and again, these assumptions are proven to be nonsense.

↳ u are today years old when you learned ur boyfriend lee know does not know how to tie a tie.
GENRE: fluff, established relationship
WARNINGS: written on mobile so may look cooked
WORD COUNT: 700+
FAE'S NOTES: no i know how to tie a tie, no i didn't search it up on wikihow just for this ^__^
when minho takes 10 minutes longer than he usually takes to get ready for work, you know something's wrong. what you didn't expect when you opened the door to your shared bedroom was to find him sat on the bed, frowning down at his shirt as he struggles with his tie.
the sight is something to behold: unkempt brown hair sticking out at all angles, the quiet sound of him tutting at himself out of annoyance, the constant rustling of linen from him repeatedly tying and untying the navy blue fabric draped around his neck. minho is so preoccupied with his problem that he failed to noticed you peeking through the gap of the door left ajar until you clear your throat.
"need any help?" you cheekily ask from your spot by the door, and minho immediately shows signs of sheepishness. he drops the tie and lets it hang around his neck as his face grows red. "u-uh, yes, p-please," he stammers before slumping in defeat, very clearly embarrassed by his lack of knowledge on how to do something as simple as tying a windsor knot.
you saunter over to the bed, and park yourself between minho's legs so you can get a good luck at his tie-collar situation. your boyfriend instinctively wraps his arms around you waist as you wordlessly lift his shirt collar up to adjust his tie.
"let me teach you, look here," you mutter, gesturing for minho to look down at your hands, which are each grasping onto either end of the tie. "you cross the wide end over the narrow end, like this," you gently mutter as you slowly complete the step for added clarity. "loop the wide end over the narrow end," you instruct, doing so shortly after. "loop the wide end again," you continue, "pull the wide end through the neck loop, here."
the entire time minho is staring blankly at you, so you're not even sure he actually got what you just said. "babe, you gotta look, so you know how to tie a tie next time," you playfully nag, but minho just giggles and pulls you closer in. "you're so pretty when you teach me things, you know?" all you can do is blush — lee minho does have a way with words.
"c'mon, just one more step," you whine, and minho settles down and loosens his grip around your waist for you to continue. with the widest smile plastered on your face, you proceed with the next step: "now you put this wide end through the knot on the front here, like this." you start tightening it, pushing the knot up towards the bottom of his adam's apple before adjusting his collar. "there, all done."
he gets up and scoots past you to take a look in the mirror, eyeing the new accessory falling from his neck as he slowly straightens the fabric of his shirt – all while still in his boxers. you wonder why he didn't just leave the tie for last. "i look handsome, right? i look smart and professional?" he interrogates you as he continues checking his reflection out, twisting and turning his body and neck in various angles.
"of course you do, baby!" you chirp, completely fascinated by how much sharper he looked today. "wearing a tie suits you, my little businessman." minho leaves his post by the mirror to come hug you, muttering into the skin off your shoulder, "you're so smart, what would i do without you, hm?" minho presses a chaste kiss on your shoulder blade before he lets you go.
"you really should wear a tie more often."
"you think?"
"mhm!"
"what my baby likes, my baby gets," minho coos, leaning into press his lips on both your cheeks.
"why do you suddenly need a tie anyway? you've never had to wear one before."
sheepishness makes its way back onto minho's expression again, as he reaches to scratch the back of his neck from the awkwardness as he cautiously confesses: "just up for a possible promotion today, wanted to look my best."
as soon as he sees traces of immense happiness quite literally about to explode from inside you, he presses an index finger against your lips before you can say/scream anything. "don't freak out, i'm not expecting anything. i might not even get it," he says, to which you nod vigorously. he retracts the finger and snakes his arm back around your waist while you stare back at him wide-eyed.
"i'm so proud of you."
"i know you are."

( ᐢ..ᐢ )⋆.ೃ࿔*・ thank u guys for all the love on my writing recently <3 there is nothing i love more than reading ur comments and reblogs !! tysm !!!!!!
anonymous asks are now open too. i swear i had them on but i just figured out my inbox today!
i thought i would share some brain rot i still have from my last suna fic, to be loved is to be known:
in the fic, suna was so surprised when you mentioned that atsumu gave you the courage to confess to kita because… atsumu was his #1 wingman!!!!
he’s definitely not stupid, and also very aware of reading people (or maybe just reading you) but all his common sense flies out the window when u mention liking kita
but when u bring up atsumu… the little suna brain-cells in his head REVIVE. fucking EXPLODE and his cogs start to turn.. and he’s like… wait a minute.
i mentioned that suna smells like blackberries and i was specifically thinking about the blackberry and bay cologne from jo malone! here are the notes from the official website:
Childhood memories of blackberry picking...A burst of deep, tart blackberry juice, blending with the freshness of just-gathered bay and brambly woods. Vibrant and verdant
(it smells so good btw. trust. trust me. suna smells delicious. i swear)
suna doesn’t mind little spooning
mobile gaming degenerate. twitter degenerate. likes wearing slides out and oversized zip up hoodies, he finds regular hoodies kind of annoying
suna reminds me of the song, fukakoryoku by vaundy
still uses wired apple headphones 4 the aesthetic
yes the family mart that suna and you frequent is in the middle ground to ur houses… yes he likes famichiki… no he doesn’t like the sausages but you’re obsessed with them so he says he loves them
idk if u guys know but family mart on twitter has these giveaways where if you retweet their post you have the chance to win a coupon or a free snack/food. and they choose like 10,000 people for winners! so when family mart drops a chance to win free sausages… suna makes.. 100 twitter accounts… to join the giveaway…. (yes this means 100 emails) (yes he is crazy) (yes he is free)
and yes ur on his private twitter. and suna private tweets about YOU on his PRIV bcuz he’s a LITTLE SHIT. so when u check ur phone after he confesses to U and u had lied and said u liked kita he does the whole Going Dark thing on twitter. tweets shit like this and thinks it’s so funny:
thank u guys again for indulging in my writing<3

I think some of these might be uh. On the advanced side?
Like yeah Firefox is mostly better than the alternative and it's good to share methods to curate and protect your Internet space but Firefox isn't that powerful, it can't just say "no thank you" to all the ways the internet gets shittier. Sometimes it gets worse and there's nothing you can do about it.
#either that or this is some android shit im too iPhone to comprehend#which feels like a weird oversight in a list that prioritizes mobile devices#considering apples market share

from where do you read the manga?
I know this is not what you asked for, but here’s a masterlist of bsd resources I’ve used over the past year. Because every time I join a new fandom I always think “oh, I sure wish there was an all-inclusive masterlist that explained in detail how the material is divided and where to access to it instead of having to dig in myself”. So, this is for you January 2022 Kyotag, and for anyone else who might find this useful! I trust posting this on Tumblr is safe, but please do not share this outside of Tumblr in any way; it’s not for me, it’s for all the people who care to share. Specifically, do not share this on Twitter in any way or form. I will unleash a wild pre-promise Akutagawa after you if you do.
Edit: My biggest thank you to @amythedemisimp, who helped me expand and enrich this list. For your priceless contribution, thank you so much!!! Edit 2: Thank you so much u/barnacleunderthesea for reaching out and sharing new stage play subtitles!!! Check out their BSD English Content Archive here.
BSD resources masterpost
Before visiting any of the websites listed below, make sure to install and activate the uBlock Origin extension and to be using Firefox web browser.
Bungou Stray Dogs Story by Kafka Asagiri, art by Sango Harukawa. The original manga. Ongoing, monthly chapter release.
• MONTHLY CHAPTER FANTRANSLATIONS: translator 1 • Website 1: Official English translation of the manga up to volume 19 / chapter 83 (including all the extra volume contents and omakes) and fantranslations from chapter 84 upwards. It’s my favorite streaming platform for the manga as it grants easy access and download to most of the official translation (the quality is not the best, a sligthly blurry 900×1350px per page, but it is what it is). When visitng on mobile, there’s surges of adds on certain days for some reason, but overall it’s manageable. • Website 2: Official translation up to volume 20 (chapter 88), fantranslations after that. • Website 3: Official translation up to volume 23 (chapter 104), fantranslations after that. Lacks all the additional volumes content (and thus the first page of every volume since it’s in colour). Includes the Japanese raws up to chapter 104, so it’s useful if you need to quickly check the original. Denies download of the pages, and features a watermark. • Website 4: All the chapters fantraslated. Recommending it because it’s always nice to read different translations (and endearing too, at times. You wouldn’t want to miss “Dazai Osamu – Ability: Human Failure”), and because it’s for some reason the only website my university’s wi-fi allows me the access to, so shout-out to it. • Website 5: Raws from chapter 79 up to date. The image quality (1164×1618px) is generally better than the official manga English release.

So excited to share my latest bind! This is a Good Omens fic called Pray for Us, Icarus by Atalan/@brightwanderer 💐
I went a little nuts with the floral designs in this one. The cover was so much fun to put together, and I somehow managed to match the bookcloth color to the headband color perfectly. I also made the chapter headers look like Aziraphale was gathering his bouquet from Crowley throughout the years:
I can’t add another photo on mobile, but Part 7 has two wine glasses with apple slices 🥰
Technical details follow ➡️
Fonts: Glamore (title) and Sabon (body)
Cover material: Allure bookcloth in Mudpie
Dust jacket image: Abraham van Beijeren, Creative Commons usage
Endpapers: Renato Crepaldi
Text block: Hammermill 70lb Ivory
Designed in Canva and Procreate
The fic can be read at http://archiveofourown.org/series/1448647
❗️My binds are not for sale. Authors can request gift copies.❗️

Why I Still Play Stardew Valley After Hundred Hours of Gameplay and Why You Should Too
Stardew Valley is the game that absolutely changed the way I view video games. It has been more than a year of playing and five hundred hours into this masterpiece and now, I want to dive in and share my experience with you all so you can see why playing this game is a hundred percent worthwhile.
Now, if I'm going to be honest with you, I would say that it actually took me a while to appreciate this game. It had already been a huge success in the video game industry and everyone was singing its praises, telling me how good it is, and it was even my family who got me into it. As someone who had no prior experience playing video games of this caliber (I only played your classic mobile games like Subway Surfers, Temple Run, etc.), I was skeptical that I would find it enjoyable in the slightest. In addition to that, it was a paid game and I definitely haven’t spent anything on games, making me wonder if it was going to be worth it. It was only a free Apple Arcade subscription that got me to install it. And looking back now, it was one of the best decisions I had ever made.
Stardew Valley is a cozy open-ended country-life role playing game wherein the player takes the role of a farmer who inherited their grandfather’s farm. Above the surface, it’s really just a simple game. You farm, build relationships with the NPCs, go fishing, mining, and just full-on experience that countryside life. But go beyond that, and you will see the absolute treasure of a game it is. Its gameplay, graphics, and storyline make it the most enjoyable game I have ever played, although I might be a little biased. Its soundtrack is also top-notch, encasing you in a comforting vibe. I get incredibly engrossed playing this and it feels like it takes me to a different world. The variety of gameplay it has to offer can even be overwhelming with its abundance, but that is something I deeply appreciate about it and now after “finishing” the game, I still long for more and find myself starting new playthroughs because it never gets old or boring.
It was the highlight of my summer, and getting my friends hooked into it as well was one of the unadulterated joys I felt. The point is, whether you are a professional or a novice at playing video games, Stardew Valley is for everyone and there is no way of playing it wrong.

casey + alex vs. smartphones
when bored or taking a break from reviewing her case notes, casey plops down on the couch (most of the time accompanied by a beloved bag of potato chips) scrolling through instagram reels of cat videos that she sometimes sends to alex.
alex calls casey out from the dining table where she’s preparing her cases and yells at her to stop sending her stupid videos because her phone keeps pinging. under grumpy breath, alex opens casey’s messages to watch the videos she sent. she smiles and wonders whether it is time for them to try and adopt a pet.
other things casey does with her smartphone:
1. casey learns new recipes by watching youtube videos so she could impress alex with her cooking skills. she also browses tagged restaurants on instagram reels so she could take alex there if she thinks they’re worth it.
2. she leaves movie reviews on letterboxd, especially if the ending of a movie really upset her
3. when she’s antsy, she plays harvest moon/stardew valley
4. casey has pinterest boards that she updates regularly: “date with alex ❤️”, “small tattoo ideas”, “poems that remind me of alex ❤️”, “stupid memes”
5. she has a reddit account but never posts. she uses it just to read the ridiculously funny and the questionably morbid.
casey’s google search history:
how to handle anxiety symptoms / sous vide vs. pressure cooking / are all orange cats crazy / gone girl actress / is orange from the color or the fruit / do fish pee / is bloodbending illegal / duck penis / date night ideas / is mayonnaise better for grilled cheese / padded sliding mats / jurassic park survival guide / new ways to pleasure your girlfriend / silly cat names / sneaky ways to ask your girlfriend to marry you / will our cat attempt to eat our pet fish if we decide to also keep fish pets / gelato vs. ice cream / what to give wife for first anniversary
things alex does with her smartphone:
(the first thing alex does in the morning after brushing her teeth is checking whether she has important emails that need to be urgently responded to)
1. she has a binaural beats/nature sounds app so she can listen to them to help her with anxiety when casey is not around
2. her mobile games of choice are (a) duolingo - to channel her competitiveness and always get to number 1 on leaderboards; (b) merge cooking; (c) nyt games - to pass time when she can’t sleep
3. casey encouraged alex to start journaling to help relieve some symptoms of anxiety. for convenience, alex uses the notion app as a semi-journal, semi-to-do list. at the end of a tiring day and esp if casey is on a work trip, she scribbles a brief narrative of how her day went and how it made her feel. sometimes, she shares her notes to casey.
4. convenience apps: uber, uber eats, doordash, pocket yoga, skyscanner, wise, paypal, opentable, airbnb, booking.com
5. alex has subscription to both apple music and spotify. she insists that sound quality is better in apple music but spotify’s user interface is friendlier. she has different playlists for each mood, and made playlists for casey. she hasn’t shared all those playlists to her though.
alex’s google search history:
are there any advantages to castling queenside? / how do you politely ask someone for their instagram account but as a friend? / what does it mean when young people say that “this is sending me”? / how to tell your girlfriend you love her without having to say it explicitly? / are intrinsic motivations learned? / what restaurant serves the best grilled cheese in manhattan? / list of fragrances with subtle sillage appropriate to wear at work / what signs to look out for which indicates that your girlfriend wants to marry you? / list of the most romantic places for honeymoon / best galleries to visit while in Barcelona / how hard is it to raise a child?

Hello! I just wanted to know if Yana Toboso have ever said that there will be a continuation after all books are released? I remember she ever stated that she is thinking of a 4th-year or RSA book, but I might be wrong though.
Hello hello! ^^ Thank you for this question!
This was touched upon in an earlier ask (I am very sorry for the poor organization of this page 💦) but, in short, Yana has never said that there will be a 4th-year or RSA continuation of the story ^^
From what I can tell this rumor seems to be a common misconception from a 2023 Apple Store interview where she says:
Going forward things are going to be on a much larger scale, incorporating not only the vertical and horizontal axes of the story but also expanding upon elements such as a present, past and future. Look forward to Book 7 (currently on chapter 2)!
EN did not have any Book 7 content at the time the interview was released, which is maybe why people started to assume that she must mean RSA or 4th year student stories? But she has never said so ^^ Which makes sense!
Even if those may actually be plans for future plotlines, mobile game development is a very volatile industry: Yana herself has talked about making significant changes to a character even after approvals had already been received and development had begun (re: the creation of Riddle Rosehearts), so promising anything at all for the future of the game would be most unwise from a professional standpoint, running the risk of disappointing players if something unavoidable arose and/or a different direction ultimately ended up being taken.
It would be very strange for the developers to be sharing plans for the direction the game is to take years, months or even just weeks in advance, as one never knows what may happen--so they have not ^^
On the topic of what Yana has actually said about the future, in the Magical Archives Game Guide (2020) she is asked, "What new outfits or styles would you like to add in the future?" and responds:
I would like to add a summer uniform for Night Raven College, and a designated winter coat at some point. The design for the winter coat was completed before the game’s release, but we missed the window to introduce it. Also, I would like to draw casual, personal clothes for all of the characters someday, but that is a huge project.
So maybe summer uniforms, winter coats or personal clothes?
It has been four years since Yana shared that there are existing designs of winter coat uniforms for all the students prepared and completed, and unfortunately no sign of them yet :< But maybe one day!

Bucktommy regency au snippet time!!
Just wrote this and wanted to share with y'all. I rarely ever write out of order but this demanded to be written. This is also going to lead into that jerk-off section I mentioned before. But first, some build up:
Boxing was not a sport Buck often considered. He practiced, because that was what a gentleman did, but he did not concern himself in being a master, not in the way Eddie did. But Eddie had asked him to accompany him while he trained against Thomas Kinard. Or, rather, Tommy, as he had been asked to be called, his face scrunching up with a smile that had Buck mesmerized in a way he could not properly articulate.
And so there he was, watching Eddie and Tommy throw punches and jabs at each other, artfully dodging and blocking. Buck couldn't help but focus on Tommy. Both men were shirtless, as to allow greater mobility (and to avoid the feeling of sweat plastering fabric to their skin) and there was something about the way Tommy's skin glistened with sweat that had Buck suddenly and inexplicably wishing he had a drink on hand to soothe his suddenly dry throat.
It was hot in the training room, that was all, even sitting and watching, Buck couldn't help the heat licking up his spine. Simply a consequence of Summer, nothing more.
And as Eddie landed a jab on Tommy's chest, not nearly as hard as it would have been had they actually been in a proper fight, Tommy’s head lifted back in laughter at something Eddie had said.
Sweat dripping down his chin, pooling into his cleft, slipping down his neck. His Adam's apple.
Buck licked his lips. God, it was unbearably hot.
The heat was.
Summer.
That's all it was.
Flexing of muscles and low grunts of effort, Buck had never felt more enraptured by the sport and it all circles back to Tommy in a way he couldn't even begin to explain.

You know what, the Fairly OddParents fandom has been quite tame. Let's spice things up a little bit.
Doesn't anybody else get that silly feeling when you see fanart of Peri being like a father to Dev, like... where's the rest of you 😍? Don't be shy, show us where Dale is. Or are you too scared? (I wouldn't blame you, I was too at first)
Small warning: this post includes slight swearing and many brain-numbing headcanons. I'm not responsible for any mental anguish you may experience
I would like to quickly apologize to the 6 people shipping Peri with Dale. I thought I was the only one but it seems like I've finally found my people. Anyways, back to the topic.
Now that you're here, I may as well show some more art of these two goobers +some silly headcanons. These are my AUed* versions of the two in my odd semi-realistic style that I completely ditch whenever I don't have the patience to draw faces (I often suck at drawing them. No wonder all my OCs are furries)
Note: him being slightly chubby and him having mobility issues are both headcanons I have shamelessly borrowed from others in the fandom. Also am I the only one who thinks Peri WOULDN'T be 6 ft tall? In the series he's like 5 apples tall, so wouldn't it make sense for him to be a bit short?
Note: there's like a bunch of lore explaining the reason why Dale looks so fucked up in my version. I scarred him for life, oopsie! But at least he has Peri now who "forces" him to go to therapy 😍. I may need to make a seperate post where I only talk about him and his past if I have the motivation.
I know a lot of you don't even know the pain of trying to convert a stylized character into a realistic style and still making them look good and kinda recognizable. I envy you who have less realistic art styles.
*And yes, I did say AU. More specifically I'm talking about the "Missionaries of Eden AU" (by me). I'm not gonna go into detail now, but basically it's a semi-biblical and more serious take on FOP, where the fairies are angels, anti-fairies are demons and pixies... I think they can stay as pixies, or maybe they're ghosts, bees? (There's a lot of things I still need to figure out) Their tasks are to work as missionaries on the planets of Eden (planets where life exists). There's a bunch of other lore (some of which I've explained on my casual/personal account on Instagram), but it's best I leave it for another time.
Btw: if you've seen me talk about a "Below the Stars AU", "Bible AU", "Ager DLC" or something else, it's all just the same thing. I just had a hard time coming up with a good name for it lol.
Also speaking of which, I have another post coming up (hopefully) where I explain my reasons for shipping Peri and Dale. It can honestly, out of context, seem like a toxic yaoi crack ship, but believe it or not but I managed to make it the opposite; plausible AND healthy. I want to enlighten you all plus I really want to yap about them.
It feels super funny to ship such a underrated ship. I'm used to shipping semi-popular ships, so to now be all alone feels kinda fun! They have so much potential and so few are seeing the vision?? Though to be fair I'm also glad it's not that famous lmao.
Ps. Ignore the fact I haven't posted anything here for at least half-a-year. All my mutuals are on Instagram, so I don't have a need to post here, though now I've decided to dedicate this account to hyperfixation slop so maybe you'll be hearing from me much sooner.
Ps. Ps. I currently have a 22-page-long google doc filled with lore and info about almost everything I've thought of for the AU, but it's 80% in Finnish so sharing it is useless.
Man, I love writing unnecessary long posts knowing I'm the only one reading them❤️😍 though if you HAVE gotten this far, here's a little treat:
My body refuses to draw Dale in his original outfit. I like to pretend Peri helped him change a bit (most notably taking off his goddamn shoes, though they do have some lore that I've created. GGHHRRAAA EVERYTHING HAS LORE ATTACHED TO IT GRRRR). Also Dev isn't actually grumpy, he just likes to act tough.
My art style looks probably so inconsistent❤️

I've been dreaming of the Hunter of Love.
Every decision made or not made branches off and creates new realities. There are a countless number of those realities.
Worlds of infinite choices—he will glimpse them all.
How does a moment last forever? How can a story never die?
Rook dances through the darkness, unburdened and dauntless. Not a single step produces a sound—though if it had, the sound would no doubt be absorbed into the abyss. He glides effortlessly, a swan upon still water.
There is no road for his feet to follow, only a plane of darkness. Heels strike it, eliciting a clear clack-clack-clack, as if the floor is marble.
The walls—if they can be called that; there's nothing solid when he sticks his arms out to test the environment—are laden with full-body mirrors. They're mounted up upon nothing, floating in place, their reflective faces clean, clear, and free of cracks.
He is drawn to them, tugged along as if compelled by the red string of fate.
In each, he is presented with a novelty.
Familiar places and people, refracted and twisted into something new. Something beautiful.
An ethereal art gallery for his own amusement.
He turns his head, taps fingers along the frames of each realm in turn.
A Night Raven College with as many as fourteen dorms. A Night Raven College set upon a stage, scripts in the hands of every student. A Night Raven College of young women, not young men.
Jade with his hair styled up in a mohawk, a plethora of piercings studding his face. Kalim with a monkey upon his shoulder, sharing a platter of fruit. Young Epel in a pair of glasses, mouthing the lines to a play. Idia, smaller than even his younger brother, in an oversized sweater, playing on a mobile gaming console.
Rook imagines a great tree, its roots ever-growing, expanding deep, deep, deep into the soil and continuing still. Endless choices, endless possibilities.
C'est la vie—such is life.
He stops.
His hand now hovers over the glass casing of a tragedy.
Rook stares at a version of himself, collapsed beside a bottle of apple juice. Its caustic contents ooze out onto the ground, bubbling as it eats away at the floor.
The common man would be repulsed. Chilled to the bone. Frightened.
But Rook Hunt is not the common man.
"Comme c'est magnifique," he marvels. “Willingly consuming poison, wishing so desperately to believe that his queen was free of sin… Here lies a foolish dreamer in the aftermath, still having faith in his dear friend's integrity.”
Rook lingers, drinking in the details of the morbid work of art.
He does not move, does not breathe. Ignoring the bottle, it is as though he had been laid into a peaceful sleep. Lips arranged in a soft smile, long lashes cast over his cheeks.
A beautiful queen weeps for him, tears colored black as the night. His clothes are tattered, his crown tarnished. He is a flower of evil, stripped of his petals.
The next mirror, the mirror after—all horrific ends, varying shades of gruesome. Visions twisting, distorting.
A king dressed in roses slaying their victims, peasants who dares to defy their rule. A hyena dissolving into sand. Students trapped in constrictive tentacles, stripped of their talents.
Mindless drones lumbering around a seized castle. A reality dyed in ink, ruled by blue flames and Phantoms. And… a tangle of briar knitting over the world.
To him, they are just as lovely as the rest.
Heartbreaking, but lovely.
As that thought strikes him, the area ahead brightens. He spots color dotting the darkness.
They start as scribbles, clumsy trails of crayon left by a child's hand. Further along, the crayon gains dimension, turning into yarn threads. Eventually, they weave together to form a coherent path marked by cobblestones made of newspaper clippings.
It leads to a thicket unlike any he has ever seen.
Every glade of grass, every leaf and stem, is painted in a glistening coat of silver. The flowers are crystal, the fruit, plump jewels. The sky, a watercolor masterpiece of brilliant blues, white clouds dabbled on with an artist's sponge.
A tower rises in the distance, fine and thin like a needle. Its pointed roof pierces the heavens, and there is but one solitary window embedded in the structure.
Rook gasps, and a thousand or more reflected Rooks gasp too.
The leaves tinkle, a melody of wind chimes and bells. He feels as though they are beckoning to him, drawing him deeper and deeper into the forest.
His feet have a mind of their own; they start moving, as if bewitched by the majesty of the enchanted wood, by the mystery of the tower. Beads of dew upon the grass are left untouched as he swiftly passes.
A call reaches out from a place far, far away. It's not quite speech, but vocalizations resembling speech--someone grasping for the right words, the right feeling.
There is a haunting hollowness to the siren song. A longing so immense it makes tears spring to his eyes.
It must be seeking its other half, Rook realizes. A harmony for its melody, to form a duet.
But the longer he tries to focus on the sound, the more he tries to parse out its parts, the more confused he becomes. The voice is contradictory: familiar and yet unfamiliar, happy and yet sad.
His pace quickens, as does his heartbeat. It's an anomaly for him, for whom calmness comes easily.
I must go to them, he thinks, unsure of why. I must.
Is there a yet-to-be-discovered wonder on the other side? His queen, whom he has sworn his undying loyalty to, in danger? Is it from the strange tower? A stranger requesting his aid?
Curiosity thrums through him.
Hurry.
The tower seems to drift farther and farther away with each step. The voice, fainter.
Hurry...!!
Rook runs.
The building accelerates. The trees expand as if to fill in the space where the tower had fled.
Wildlife carved of glass watch, some racing with him. A deerling on limber, elegant legs, a rabbit bouncing as high as it can. Even the fish skip atop the river that runs concurrent with the forest trail, and a flock of birds soar upon their crystalline wings.
They trill, they coo, they sing.
His run becomes a sprint, and the sprint becomes a gallop. The call to adventure, loud and clear in his ears.
He is one with nature, and nature is one with him.
I must see for myself what lies at the ends of this world--and beyond it.
His spirit brims, burning with determination.
Chasing something he doesn’t know the true nature, the true face, of. For that... is the thrill of the hunt.
