This is an excerpt from chapter 24 of Dreamer of Dune, Brian Herbert’s biography of his father, Frank. The year is 1977.
George Lucas’s hit movie Star Wars came out the same year. The film was shocking to me, for all the similarities between it and my father’s book, Dune. Both featured an evil galactic empire, a desolate desert planet, hooded natives, strong religious elements, and a messianic hero with an aged mentor. Star Wars’ Princess Leia had a name with a haunting similarity to Dune’s Lady Alia of the noble house Atreides. The movie also had spice mines and a Dune Sea.
I phoned my father and said, “You’d better see it. The similarities are unbelievable.”
When Dad saw the movie, he picked out sixteen points of what he called “absolute identity” between his book and the movie, enough to make him livid. He thought he saw the ideas of other science fiction writers on the screen as well, including those of Isaac Asimov, Larry Niven, Ted Sturgeon, Barry Malzberg, and Jerry Pournelle.
Still, Frank Herbert tried to be upbeat. He and the other science fiction writers who thought they saw their work in Lucas’s movie formed a loose organization that my father called, with his tongue firmly placed in his cheek, the We’re Too Big to Sue George Lucas Society. Through humor, Dad tried to mask the pain.
One of his biggest concerns: Star Wars made the filming of Dune an even bigger challenge than before, even more insurmountable, because of the important concepts that had now been pre-empted on the screen. Not the least of these was the young hero of Star Wars, Luke Skywalker, who, like Paul Atreides of Dune had messianic qualities, with a link to a mystical religious force.

At the moment they're a few theories about identity of our beloved strawberry lady, because as this is the end of the game appearance of completely new and unrelated character is unlikely. Such predictions include:
She's doll of Sara. Many have noted similarities in hairstyle and overall appearance, plus Sara has undeniable connection to this game, more so than others. Not to mention whooping 15.5%. It is speculated that new floormaster might be simulation version of Sara, a new attempt to awaken her "true self". On the other hand, hair color differs a lot (at least in my opinion), and while eye color could be masked with lenses, it also isn't even close;
Shortcake lady might be Sara's mom. As previously noted, they look alike, and Mrs Chidouin is quite similar to Sara. Her husband is highly suspected to be affiliated with Asunaro, thus she might too. Her appearance at this point could be, once again, attempt at molding Sara into ruthless Asunaro member. The contradictions with this theory are: once again, color of hair is different; and Sara's mom was unconscious during kidnapping, which indicates her presumed innocence (which, however, is not set on the stone yet);
She might also be Gin's mom. There's only one sketch of Gin's mother where she hugs her son, so we only see her from behind. Gin's pupils are sometimes slit, right? Just like strawberry lady's. Moreover, Midori said how Gin's mother is watching him even now, which means she's somehow connected to this game (or it could be Miley due to same hair, but Gin didn't react to her at all). Also, our strawberry lady might be the other person from first floor (chapter 2 investigating kitchen with Keiji while searching for Gin). Moreover, her similarities with Sara would then further explain Gin trusting our protagonist right off the bat: she reminds him of mother. The only contradiction I can think of is the difference of her and Gin's hair color, but it's not always the same (Mr. Policeman is ginger, for instance, while Joe, his presumed son, isn't). Maybe I'm just biased toward this headcanon.
There're many mysteries about this floormaster as we saw only one line of dialogue. Maybe she's fourth secret thing, maybe she's brand new character after all. The only certain way to know is to wait to chapter 3 part 2
