There are three possible responses for it:

1 - If the MC isn’t very close to Jumin when she asks, he’ll offer to hire her a top-tier makeup artist, or suggest that she get Zen’s help. He’s aware that he’s no good at doing make up, so he won’t even try. If she insists he’ll find it amusing, but not be moved.

2 - If the MC is close to him but they’re not romantically involved, it’s possible he’ll be cajoled into trying once, but while he’ll react with good humor about it, any future attempts to forego the makeup artist will be deflected.

Only if it were suggested to him to do so. He would certainly use an image of her on his lockscreen and look at it to ‘recharge’ through the day if he’s at work or if he’s away on a business trip, but it simply wouldn’t occur to him to kiss his screen unless someone like Zen suggested it. Even then, he’ll probably only do so when he’s in another country or otherwise physically blocked from seeing her for an extended amount of time, and then comment directly to her that it’s not a very good substitute.

Sleeping alongside Jumin is pretty uneventful, if one excludes the sex. If there’s lingering sexual tension because there’s been no sex in the relationship yet - such as the visit in the apartment - there will likely be little actual sleeping from him. His guard will be up too far to sleep, not because he doesn’t trust the MC, but because he doesn’t trust himself. Assuming he’s cajoled into laying next to her, he won’t move much

After that little bump in the road, though, sleeping alongside him is quiet and relaxing. He’s a quiet person in general, and so laying in bed at night after a long day, or in the early morning, is likely to be a fairly quiet affair. It doesn’t matter to him whether he holds the MC in his arms or whether she’d rather lay with her head atop his chest, or really any other position. He’s likely to seek out her warmth on some level no matter what, though, so he won’t ever end up in those positions where one partner is halfway hanging off of the bed and there’s a large gap between them in the sheets.

Although he finds it a bit silly to talk after going to bed, even when ruling out the after-sex pillow talk, he’ll be more than open to softly spoken conversation as either of them are cozied up together in the dark. It’d be difficult to get a lullaby out of him, given he can’t sing, but the MC can always request bedtime stories to be told to her if she wishes, and he’ll happily pamper her with them, even if he eventually just makes them up himself when he runs out of bedtime stories he’d actually ever bothered to read or have read to him as a child.

It’s important to him that the MC hold her own schedule, whatever the schedule is that she desires, without feeling restricted by his, but it’s hard for him not to go to bed whenever she does, and harder still to get out of it without her. Not simply because of a desire for sex, but because laying next to her in bed is an excuse for him to simply be near her, soaking in her warmth, her smell, and her voice comfortably close to him in a way that is inconvenient to do when they’re not in bed.

He does sleep, unlike the times before they’ve had sex, but he tries not to do so until she falls asleep. Part of it is simply because if she’s awake he’s probably engaged in her in some way, even if it’s listening for anything she might say or need, or to respond appropriately to any action she takes, but another is simply that he enjoys the sight of her peacefully, safely asleep next to him. Enjoying the sensation of having someone like his wife there in his arms, someone whom he loves differently from anyone else, and who loves him unlike anyone else in the world, someone who sees everything he is and trusts him enough to show him everything she is, is simply something he won’t ever grow tired of.

If MC shows Jumin aspects of “commoner” life, what would his favorite and least favorite parts of that be?

Canonically he actually experiences ‘commoner’ life in his Normal Ending when he quits and just becomes a normal employee. He appears to be thriving, so it’s likely there’s nothing that bothers him too much living life without the golden spoon, despite Zen’s assumptions.

With that in mind, however...it may be easiest to answer this in the form of describing what Jumin likes and dislikes most about his life in the Normal Ending, sans how his relationship with his father would be affected.

Jumin’s feelings about ‘Commoner life’

It’s no secret that Jumin pushes himself extremely hard at work, harder than he pushes anyone else, even Jaehee. Despite what some may think, however, he’s not actually a workaholic - he merely does what he sees is necessary as the Director of C&R.

It’s frankly a relief to no longer be Director of C&R. The responsibilities feel like a literal weight has been lifted off of his shoulders, and merely quitting his job to live with his wife in a simpler life may have immediately lengthened his life.

Sometimes he almost feels like he has too much time on his hands, and if not for his wife being there to spend it with, it’s not that he’d become a workaholic suddenly per se, it’s just that he quite literally wouldn’t be certain what to do with his time if not work. It’s hard to say whether Jaehee would find that funny or frightening.

Has he mentioned how nice it is not to have the constant pressure of ensuring his division succeeds, tracking everything he does to avoid scandals and weighing potential actions against stock prices and investors? All of that is no longer his concern, and while he was still raised in such a way that he’ll never be some wild daredevil, it is quite....freeing, to simply decide whether to do something based on whether it sounds like something he’d like to do.

A smaller paycheck means downsizing everything. No longer can they live in a penthouse or a perfectly designed dream house - now they have a condo somewhere or a modest house. It’s likely that his own personal savings are more than enough to buy either, rather than simply renting them, but it is quite a different feeling. Everywhere he looks isn’t just someone who works for him or a customer of his, but neighbors who have nothing to do with him - or if they were lucky enough to get somewhere more isolated, it’s quiet. He thinks it’s cozy, and with Elizabeth the 3rd and his wife by his side, nowhere is lonely or too quiet.

They sleep longer, and they get vacations that last longer than half a week more often than once every two years.

He never found his old clothing uncomfortable, but the clothing he wears now is almost a physical representation of the way his duties and responsibilities have lifted off of him - no longer so restrictive and monotone, inflexible and constantly forcing him to stand and move in certain ways. He’ll never be caught dead wearing sweats and a t-shirt or anything like that, he still has particular tastes, but a sweater vest over a simple shirt and relaxed slacks with hardly any starch might as well be free flowing robes.

His wife is beautiful and in her element, and it truly feels as if he’s joined her in her world, not plucked her out of hers and forced her into his. And not only does he get to spend more time with her, but he can spend much more time with Elizabeth the 3rd as well, so that neither of his wonderful women become lonely.

There are things he doesn’t particularly care for as much, though:

He no longer has servants, or employees at all. No maid to clean up after him when he gets absent-minded - save his wife, whom he loathes to inconvenience - no chef to make exquisite meals, no Jaehee to handle menial things he’d rather not, and no driver to take him places.

His car is nowhere near as good as the limousine. There’s no phone in it except his own cellphone - and nowhere to put that cellphone. There’s no mini bar, so if he doesn’t think to bring his own drink it’s just not there, and because he’s the one driving, a glass of wine after work on the way home simply isn’t possible anymore. Of course he could have his wife drive...but he wishes to pamper her, firstly, and he doesn’t hate driving, even if he really does need to get a license before he gets himself into trouble.

He doesn’t get to decide his own schedule. Technically he worked for C&R and his father before, but working as a low-level employee is a completely different experience - he’s had it before, when he first started in C&R, but it was long ago and he had nothing to compare it to at the time. If he’d like to work late, he simply isn’t allowed to. If he’d like to take a vacation, it must be approved - though he still somehow manages to take them much more than before, it does rankle at times that he’s quite literally forced to take them.

Even at work, he still has no employees. It goes without saying that at his skill and experience level he’ll rise in the ranks no matter what, but middle management is an entirely different ballgame from being the second in line for an entire corporation. It’s true that being up top is more restrictive than people realize, but at lower levels, he is his own assistant.

The plants aren’t his, but it still drives him up the wall to watch how carelessly people flood them and poorly take care of them at work.

There’s no real way around it: cheap food just isn’t as good as expensive food. Despite popular opinion, rich people also have pizza and hamburgers if they want to - they’re just made of higher quality, more expensive ingredients, by chefs who are just better at making them. It’s not impossible to afford more expensive food, but it’s a luxury he can only indulge in sometimes now.

Elizabeth the 3rd is suffering most from all of it: she can no longer afford the most expensive and pampering cat hotels, the best sitters, the best groomers, the best food, or the best care. It also, unfortunately, ended her career as a poster cat. It’s perhaps his least favorite part of commoner life: living rough himself is one thing, but making her do it as well feels unnecessarily cruel.

In the end, there are both positive sides to commoner life over his golden spoon life and negatives. Unlike what Zen might believe, Jumin is perfectly capable of adapting to it - though on his own he’d likely end up climbing the ranks again by his pure effort, skill, and ambition. With his wife, however, he’ll be happy no matter what kind of life he has. If he resigns from C&R to be with her, he’ll adapt to commoner life alongside her, and likely never move beyond a content middle-management businessman who works alongside her, takes vacations annually, and struggles to pamper his cat himself.

Jaehee is a nonromantic route in the game, and so while she’s still an option for headcanons, it will be with the filter that she’s MC’s best friend, not girlfriend. which hey at least that’s something original about this blog

There’s been like 4 years of these blogs so let me just mark off the things you can’t ask about, because there’s no point.

1 - MC is (sexuality/gender) - the only interesting responses to be gleaned from this is incompatible gender/sexuality with the RFA member in question, and those have been asked to death

2 - MC has (physical/mental illness/disability) - unless it’s something really special, there’s nothing of interest to be gleaned from this. In cases 1 and 2, the answer will universally be “The RFA love and accept you no matter who you are so long as you did their routes correctly”

3 - In summary, if the response is going to be basically universal and predictable, what’s the point of the question? You already know the answer, and my creativity won’t be able to add to that.

4 - Suicide of RFA or MC - this has been done to death and probably will fall in line with #2 anyway.

5 - Rape of RFA or MC - same with #4. Plus, in general, while angst is fine try not to get crazy heavy. I don’t want to see angry people in my asks or mentions complaining about a prompt

6 - NO POLITICS. They’re all in South Korea, anyway, Your US/UK politics probably don’t matter that much to them. Try not to provoke negative responses. “What if the Choi Twins or Rika and V had their roles reversed” is one thing, “What if Jumin or Yoosung get caught kidnapping MC” or something like that is another thing entirely. I don’t know who ‘he’ is so I guess I’m gonna try to do every boy. It’s a little bit of a difficult prompt, though, as generally speaking love is a process and not a singular moment of flipping a switch, but I’ll do my best.

The moment the RFA (realized they) fell in love with the MC

YOOSUNG

Pinpointing the moment that his obsessive crush turns to love is difficult, even for Yoosung. His feelings are all tumbled up and confused from the first moment he hears the MC’s voice, or maybe even from the first moment she became the next ‘party planner’ and his broken, grieving heart told him ‘I won’t have to hurt because Rika is gone if she’s not gone anymore’.

Therefore it really is hard to say the exact moment he truly fell in love with her. Given the wild situation that followed up his realization that he’d been unfairly mixing together his feelings for the MC and Rika, he never really had the time to examine his feelings for her very closely. He knew that he cared for her and needed her, and that the thought of losing her made it feel like he’d be swallowed up by a great black hole that would crush him with its overwhelming emptiness until he was less than even dust.

He really can’t pinpoint the moment his confused feelings turned into love purely for the MC and not for the memory of Rika through the MC, only that they absolutely did. 

Perhaps it was the moment that he was certain he was about to die and he thought not of seeing Rika, but of not getting to see her.

The exact moment was probably when he finally did see her, standing across the room, beautiful and perfect, the sun that filled his life with warmth and love, who gave him the strength to be more than he ever believed he could be not because she was some reincarnation of echo of Rika, but because she wasn’t.

If he didn’t know before then, it had to be that moment that he knew for sure he loved the MC with all of his heart, and always would do so.

ZEN

It’s honestly also pretty tough to say when he fell in love with her exactly. He’s easy, and he won’t even front that he isn’t. He could tell immediately from the way she typed in chat that she was cute, and his feeling that she had a good heart proved to be true almost immediately. It goes without saying even if she’d been a cat person, a weird jokester like Seven, or a workaholic who needed to find a way to take a break sometimes, he’d have liked her all the same. He’s easy, and when they met he was frankly a little desperate.

But she didn’t care for cats, she liked his work, she liked him. She called him and asked him to sing for her, she appreciated and supported his work but she also liked him. Of course he was charmed and enchanted by her quickly. But when did he truly fall for her, not just her cuteness, not just as a girlfriend he was desperate for?

It’s a little weird to think about in retrospect, but the very moment that he opened his eyes and knew, the moment the pit of his stomach twisted and pulled his heart along with it like it never had before, was actually the moment he woke up after that dream. That terrible feeling he had, the sense that the MC would be taken away as a hostage and he’d truly lose her forever still lingered in his mind even after he woke up from it. If you only know what you have once you’ve lost it, then that dream made him realize just how much he truly loved the MC by experiencing losing her. In a way, it could also be said that in losing her in the dream, the feeling of having her back that he experienced upon waking was the moment his already deep feelings for her crystallized into actual love.

When did he first fall in love with her?

What did it feel like before he’d ever taken a breath, just after being born, when he first drew in air in his lungs?

When he first tasted food and his belly was full, or when he first saw or heard something, what did it compare to never having heard or seen anything?

He’s got a pretty great memory, but he can’t answer any of those questions, because it’s so long ago now that he just can’t remember. They’re all such precious things that by all rights it should be burned in his memory completely, but instead those sensations became so normal they’ve become something he takes for granted - he just knows that when he inhales he’ll receive air, when he looks he’ll see, and when he touches he’ll feel.

The MC is light in his darkness, and that light is so blinding it’s hard for him to know or remember, because it makes his eyes water and his vision blur when he tries to look back at when that light began.

It’d be easy to say the moment he loved her was when he ran to save her, but that probably isn’t true, because she became his motivation for doing...just about everything, long before that point. He told himself that he was only pretending and playing along with her like he did everyone else to make himself feel better about it, but is that really true?

He’s pretty sure he’s not so easy that the moment he saw her in the CCTV he fell for her - his heart’s too stony for that. But in the same way it’s hard to pinpoint the moment that the first ray of sunlight slips over the horizon in the dark of the night, even if that’s the moment dawn starts, it’s hard to pinpoint the moment her light cracked through his stone into his darkness, even if that’s the moment he began to love her.

It was probably before the point where he sicced a flame-throwing dog robot on his superior and risked ugly death to protect her from what might be a threat. But he knew by then he was in over his head, he wasn’t totally in denial or blind.

In the end it was probably just like the dawn. In the middle of a quiet night, when he wasn’t paying attention at all, and he heard her laugh over the phone.

JUMIN

It goes without saying that Jumin doesn’t actually recognize the moment he falls for her. He doesn’t really understand love like that. He’s observed the love V and Rika had, he knows the difference between how his father treats him and how everyone else in his life has and how he feels toward his father in turn, and he knows that he felt something special toward Rika himself, but none of those really encompass the feeling of romantic love from himself to someone else.

As such, if his feelings for the MC differed from the rest of the RFA, it would be all too easy for him to excuse and dismiss it as a friendly rapport built up from the fact that she was smart and kind and seemed to understand not just his humor but him in ways the rest of the RFA simply didn’t. Logically, it only stands to reason that he’ll feel closer to and like her more than the others if they’re on the same wavelength and she’s not purposefully attempting to aggravate him.

As such, under normal circumstance there’s no telling when he might realize his feelings for her differ from that of the rest of the RFA, nor when they really would differ. In some ways, then, it’s lucky that things go all sideways as suddenly and extremely as they do. It makes it very easy for him to pinpoint that moment he became absolutely certain his feelings shifted from protective and friendly to inappropriately romantic.

When he tried to lock himself away from the world, to cut himself off to sort through things on his own as he always usually did, somehow she found her way over to turn up on his doorstep without any warning, without him having to ask her, and without him even realizing until then that he needed her to be there.

That moment is undoubtedly the moment Jumin Han absolutely fell in love with her.

I don’t know enough about V and Ray’s routes to do theirs.

Hello, can I get Jumin with MC who doesn’t like wearing dresses and skirts (like she prefers wearing boyish things such as shirts)?

Jumin honestly doesn’t mind at all if she wants to dress in a more masculine manner. Although he has no real fear of his father stealing the MC, and they’ve even repaired their relationship a fair bit by the end of his route, there’s still a subconscious level of trauma that simply can’t be erased so quickly and easily - if ever. Thus, even when he has no reason to be worried at all by his wife looking sexy and feminine, there will still be a small and unavoidable part of him that is just that little bit more relaxed and at ease with her spending time with his father if she’s more of a tomboy.

It’s not an indication of his trust in her at all, this should be stressed. It’s essentially a form of PTSD brought on by his father’s neglect and misconduct through his life.

That aside, Jumin isn’t particularly attracted to the MC simply because she physically checks his boxes. While it’s true he has tastes and preferences, he always wishes for her to dress only exactly as she wishes to. If that happens to be in a typically masculine or tomboyish way, he will find that cute and just adorably ‘her’. It doesn’t hurt that what preferences he does have leans toward modest and more innocent anyway. If she goes so far as to literally wear men’s clothing rather than just ‘boyish’ girls clothes, he’ll probably be amused - especially if her build is slight and they just don’t quite fit right - but will likely only express that with amused looks and indulgence.

If she goes for his clothes, though...that’s a different matter that will immediately cause alarm and flustered reactions, and likely some level of protest no matter his dedication to letting her wear exactly what she wants.

It’s just that it’ll be really hard for him to do anything if he’s that consistently turned on.
