These are all her hopes and dreams for a peaceful end to gun violence in America. We have a charity event today @localcolouroldtown featuring her work. I was just remembering my first date with my husband, 21 years ago tonight. We'd always been friends until he called me and asked me to the movies. I thought it was just old buds hanging out but he had other ideas. After Batman Forever and dinner at Chi Chi's (this really dates us) Trey took me to Old Town, on a perfect moonlit night. Diamonds were sparkling off the water and his eyes as well. He bought flowers off the crazy bicycle peddler and when he kissed me, my knees went weak. I knew then, in that momentI was a goner! My surrogate bird motherhood came to a happy ending today! After managing to keep the egg alive using just my own body heat and a tea strainer..I resolved to find the nest for this guy. So I got up early and headed back to the area I found the egg. Sure enough after some sleuthing, I located a robin collecting nesting material. I watched her land in a nearby tree, very close to where the egg was. Unfortunately the nest was about 12 feet up and the tree wasn't climeable. So after a hunt through the neighborhood, these fantastic fellows with Flippo Construction came to my rescue! They placed my egg in mama bird's nest while she was out. Happily we all watched as she returned and nested right on the egg as if it had never been missing! I owe many thanks to these amazing knights in shining yellow!
