Tonight was meant to be just a lonely beautiful run through the night. You'd think when describing it as 'lonely' that would be a bad thing but for Sonic it really wasn't. atleast not to him. he finds himself skidding to a stop in this wide stretch of grassy field. he probably would've laid down to stargaze awhile on his own time if he hadn't caught notice of a figure in the distance in said field. he recognized it to be Metal.

Since Shadow had somehow convinced Metal to live with them, it didn't necessarily Set Sonic off as much to see the identical hog. robotic or not, Metal deserved a friend too. Sonic was just glad Shadow could somehow talk some sense into him. like seriously, how did that edgehog manage that?

No matter, Sonic approaches the distant Hog and stops at his own polite distance. with a little whistle, he moves to relax his paws on his hips but in a specific way where the back of his hands are rested against his hips instead of just holding his hips. a more relaxing looking version of the hip stance without looking as if he was trying to be judgmental. he really wasn't. he supposed they, possibly, both had some sort of affinity for stars?

Sonic casts one glance to the Starry sky again before he looks to Metal once more, finally speaking up to make his presence known.

Truth be told- metal was still adjusting to this. This new life. He’d been waking up expecting to get called and briefed on a mission or told to just ‘kill that damn hedgehog’- an entire existence as a weapon and now he was able to live how others did. Without being brought into battle every day. He was adjusting, slowly. And he was trying to subside that urge that had been coded into his entire body to maul and attack sonic. And he had to violently dig his claws into the ground and take some breaths before even thinking of facing the blue blur. A deep breath.. and then he turned his head twords the hog. Ears perked and twitching with a low hum. He’d thought he was far enough to be hard to find. But that was impossible with the speed of light as a hedgehog trying to rehabilitate you, he guessed. He turned his eyes back to the sky with a soft chuff and let his body relax. They weren’t fighting anymore- he had to calm down. He wasn’t going to get anywhere succumbing to his urges.

“..Mhm. Its interesting to think one of those many stars is masters deathegg. I assume ive already been replaced, as i havent seen any badniks searching for me. So. I supposed it to be safe to be outside if i am not being hunted for.”

Metal spoke up finally, eyes turning from star to star, he sounded- well. Not upset. He was just unsure. He knew the doctor would rather replace him then go through the fuss of searching for him. It didnt.. hurt or upset him. He just supposed he was getting what they called a ‘home sickness’. He wasn’t a fan of it.

Despite how relaxed the hedgehog looked- well now that sonic was close, you could see under the dim moonlight that the hog had blood dripping from his fur. It was his, not someone elses. See- metal had snuck off later in the night from the house trying to collect his thoughts after a.. not so nice ‘dream’, he ran into someone that recognized who he used to be and well- now metal was sat here, injured, slashes and bite marks on his body here and there. Seeming like he didnt fight back- his claws and jaws unsoaked. And perhaps this was what he was doing to control his urge to chase the attacker down? He was trying. He really was.

idea: cowboy witches tumblr post with woody & any magic character of your choice

I honestly had no idea what a cowboy witches Tumblr post was, so I did my research and came up with a little idea based on your suggestion. I came up with a funny little story where Rouge the Bat is a witch/thief and Mirrorverse!Woody is a sheriff. The concept revolves around the Wicked West, where Woody is tasked with capturing Rouge, who has been stealing magical artifacts.

As Woody escorts Rouge back to town to face justice, she constantly escapes using her magic and charm, but he recaptures her. She incessantly flirts and flusters him, which amuses her much to his chagrin. Woody remains focused on his mission. Throughout their journey, Rouge's clever and unpredictable escape attempts keep things exciting.

Despite their initial animosity, Woody and Rouge begin to bond over their shared experiences and stories around a campfire under the stars. Rouge reveals her reasons for stealing, and Woody starts to see her in a new light. She teaches him some basic magic, and they form an unlikely friendship.

By the time they reach the town, Woody decides to help Rouge escape because she was going to be executed, and that's not how our sheriff runs things in his town. Before she leaves, she thanks him with a kiss and promises that this won't be the last time he'll see of her, and he playfully retorts that he wouldn't doubt it because she's always stirring up trouble~

Metals never been the type to really.. go out looking for anybody thats not on his own team. But.. he was still not all so used to all these senses that came with being a mobian. One of those senses being that something was feeling off, or wrong. And the hedgehog was very unsure about investigating this feeling but here he was. If it was a fight? Great, he’d get a show or be able to jump in- if not? Well.. he’d get to that bridge when he got there.

His ears are flicked backward, weary, and very unsure. What if hes walking into an ambush or something? He shouldn’t be so nervous about that, he can handle an ambush. Its fine. He’ll be fine. He just has to be prepared for anything right now.

Shadow had a specific routine on the weekends. a responsible one, he'd say, but it was kind of irresponsible at the same time? nonetheless, The Dark Hedgehog could be found at- some random building. it wasn't entirely a random building however, it was an old ex-G.U.N site that was no longer used and completely dead and off the radar of generic human attention thus the perfect spot for Shadow to have some drinks on his own time. There was no specific reasoning that he was drinking at this time, moreso just aiming for a relaxing silent evening with a bottle of wine and a reusable glass to drink that wine. Sadly though, there was Metal to interrupt that silent evening.

Shadow was specifically sitting on an old G.U.N crate, a metallic one, when he heard the approaching footsteps. he was well into a few glasses of drinks when he was found so of course he was alittle out of it but not so out of it that he would be completely out of it.

' ' Who the fffuck is there? nobody's supposed to be here. ' '

Maaaybe Metal was lucky Shadow had a few drinks. if Shadow didn't, he definitely would've already reached for his gun and went looking for the 'disturbance'. it was probably clear that a few drinks would not keep shadow as sharp of a shot as he usually was. plus the gun was just for safety reasons in this specific time and place.

Going off of this previous ask right here, what do you think would be the noise Sonic and Tails would make?

So for context, this has put me in mind of an idea I've had for the last few days on Sonic and Tails playing together and the noises they make being like real animals. (based on this scene from Avatar: The Way of Water - please hear me out ^^;)

Sonic would start off being all teasing, then as he turns Tails teases back by tapping or grabbing his tail or quills. Sonic turns around, crouches on the floor to Tails' level, then Tails lets out a little yip, and Sonic starts to playfully chase him. Tails turns, yips again, and Sonic makes a non-threatening hedgehog hiss.

So yes I imagine that these two play very much like real animals complete with the animal sounds ^^

Going back to your actual question on how Sonic and Tails would great each other: I think they would just say "Hey!". Sonic would most definitely follow it up with a fist bump and/or a noogie to Tails' head. He would also no doubt add "little bro" to his Hey).

Ursula is the embodiment of impatience, so she has some pet peeves

She doesn't like to be bossed/ruled around;

She gets annoyed when someone is too straitlaced/strict (so she'd easily have a beef with Lanolin and Sally, for example);

One thing that ABSOLUTELY annoys her is irony. She likes to be ironic but hates it when people are ironic to her;

She has a particular pet peeve against plans: she's fhe queen of improvisation, so she rather goes head-first into a situation than to follow a plan.

How would you look like as a mobian? :3

An NPC that's usually found at various Chao gardens. When spoken to, she can offer advice for Chao care, evaluate your Chao's stats, or make general comments on how happy or unhappy it is, hinting at the Chao's potential reincarnation or death.

Mocha the Chao is with her snaily owner at all times, and while you can pick up/feed/play with Mocha like any other Chao, you can't enter her in races/karate, and she'll always be one of your Chao's opponents in either sport.

Have other jackals seen Nubis differently because of her hair color not being white? :’|

Unfortunately so..

It's not as bad for her currently but as a toddler to her earlier years (4-6) she was often given looks of distain from other Jackals. Once she slowly began to understand WHY they kept their distance from her she avoided interacting with other Jackals all together.

Eventually she gets her hair dyed white as a means to fit in. It works and she's able to spend time with her own kind. HOWEVER she's now very self conscious of her appearance as a result which leads to Nubis coming off as shallow and over valuing one's physical appearance.

I could go on but I'll save that for her reference sheet whenever I throw that up.

Also for the record most times her roots are not visible to the mobians around her but for the sake of making it obvious her hair isn't white I include that in her design :P

Also don’t tell me you’re gonna rewrite the future just to have him there. Thats a very bad idea silv.

"Anyway, he probably is in my future somewhere, just shut down, and if I had to guess where he could be, he'd be in one of Tails' old workshops since I told him he could stay with Tails. I could only hope that none of them are lost to time by the time I go back and check."

Before Silver went through the exit of the Time Portal, he made sure to pocket the Time Stone into his quills to avoid having it get possibly snatched in battle.

In the middle of the room, a portal just randomly opens up, and out comes Silver. As soon as he exits the portal, he lands stylishly one knee with his arms crossed and his eyes closed, then in one swift motion, he uses his Psychokinesis as well as his Psycho Shock to push the Badniks to the walls.

"METAAAL!" He screamed at the other as he opened his eyes and stood up and took a battle stance. He was ready to fight!

Then Silver took notice that there was barely any light in the room, as well as Metal once again being a Mobian. He came at a bad time, or is it a good time in his case?

"Metal, again?? You look like you walked through an electric fence." He smirked. "I wouldn't be surprised if you caused all the lights to go out. And aren't you supposed to be neon?"

The badniks seem surprised and panicked. Some try to fight back against the hold, and others yell and bark to curse the hedgehog out. However metal seems… wait. Where is he?

The dark base hides the growling, feral creature silvers just alerted. When the snarls and growls get louder and louder, some of the robots start to laugh and giggle. They know whats going on. The darkness engulfs the hedgehog as two bright crimson red eyes turn to stare him dead on. The creature towers over his base form, and this massive beast sounds pissed. No voice of neo or metal awnsers him as theres loud, thundering stomps of some sort of paws. And from the darkness, lunges a massive werehog, jagged and sharp, MASSIVE knife-like jaws lunging at the hedgehogs face and equally massive and long claws lunge forwards twords his body. Saliva flies through the air as those killer-instinct eyes of a predator stare silver dead in his soul.

Its not truly metal. Not right now.

I understand that your ocs take place in the future of the original sonic continuity. but if your characters where to interact with canon sonic characters what dynamics do you think they would have with each other?

Well obviously so can't do EVERY possible character dynamic(at least not in one post. Feel free to ask about specifics though.) and I still have a lot of characters I've yet to even introduce, but I'll do a few that I can imagine off the top of my head.

Camilla and Amy: They'd absolutely adore each other. Quick friends, I'd think. Someone of that much importance who's also so well traveled would definitely have Camilla's admiration as a mentor figure who she can hear stories and advice from. I feel that Amy would find Camilla's outgoing personality and adventure lust to be charming, since it reminds her of a certain blue blur, while also not being opposed to slowing down to enjoy the little things going on in the places she's already seen. She'd adore having her around, like an adopted daughter.

Rouge and Vaudmon: Oh she's bullying this poor kangaroo. They're both thieves, but she so clearly outclasses him. He holds a little bit of a competitive grudge, trying to prove himself the better thief, but getting embarrassed frequently. She finds this funny and teases him about it.

Silver and Alex: They have a pretty mutual respect for one another. Alex is a bit intimidating for the guy due to her natural intensity. They'd get along despite that, after he's gotten to know her a little more. They bond over discussing their psychokinetics and she actually learns from him the most due to his experience.

Dante and Blaze: That's a fight right there. Dante's been known to mouth off and be a little rude from time to time. Alex and Dusk are usually the ones to keep him in check, but they won't complain if the princess of the Sol dimension does so herself. She definitely sees potential in him, and is intrigued by meeting another pyrokinetic for the first time. She does her best to help straighten out his authority issues

Aaand one more, pulling from the comics.

Lanolin and Vellory: Assuming this is a Lanolin who's been in charge of her team long enough to properly settle into the role. Lanolin would probably be an advisor or mentor of sorts for the eager newbie to the adventuring game. Biggest bit of advice she'd give that she learned the hard way? Communication. Goes a long way, especially in a team.

I'm laughing at the idea that the reason why Sonic keeps making the :/ face in the movies instead of the >:[ face is due to him having that same face from the games, with his mouth always being in the side of his muzzle 😆
