Kind of deserved to not get what was desired for a downfall when it's canonically told to leave Lila alone don't obsess over her and literally being less than 2 weeks of school and yet unable to take an L or let go. Gabriel Agreste's second coming right here with a lowly lower stake. Who anticipated this downfall tho LOL? Peeps saying we a lot. What we though? Literally Rossi's after Monarch & the butterfly miraculous at the end of Revelation. Oh oops fandom obsession right.... Hmm fanfic spammery of seeking Lila's downfall. Or wanting her downfall in general cause nothing else to do. Aww the obsession that makes people rot. Too bad the rotting isn't temporary like Monarch or Gabi Grassette.
Years of your academy training wasted
WOO YEAH
Actually very deserved to nope that downfall after that desperate attempt. After causing another Reflekta incident. And so Mr Damocles almost got akumatized. Hah bad plan brought two akumas that day. So as Lila dips, he ended up having to dip. VICTORY Right Funny L though. Epic desperation attempt though. Pure sigma to put everyone's future's in danger and more than just you on Lila's list.
This is the epic class rep behavior. Putting Sabrina and the class in danger with you. Protection she once claimed went out the wee wee window. Obsession against Lila still I guess is going Together Forever.
So ungrateful. Marinette and Sabrina didn't even get at least the Sockgirl Treatment LOL (yes I call Soqueline Wang, Sock girl).

My Demon: Inspiration or Plagiarism?
Guardian Goblin...Guardian Mountain God...Guardian Demon
In the latest drama, "My Demon," we're introduced to a guardian demon. However, as I delved into the series, a sense of déjà vu crept in. Was this guardian demon truly distinct, or did he bear striking similarities to others we've seen before?
Tumblr media
Questions about plagiarism first emerged when Gu Won's death scene in "My Demon" closely resembled that of Kim Shin's death scene in "Goblin". Many dismissed the notion that the writer had plagiarized the scene, citing the cinematographer had worked on both "Goblin" and "My Demon".
However, I believe the issue of plagiarism extended beyond cinematography; from the characterization of the male lead to the overall concepts, "My Demon" seemed almost identical to well-known fantasy kdramas, echoing themes, lines, and scenes from its predecessors. The writer, Choi Ah Il, appeared to borrow extensively from existing works, crossing the line between inspiration and outright plagiarism.
Tumblr media
Gu Won, the guardian demon, was a mishmash of characters from various supernatural dramas. His personality, appearance, and even punishment seemed like something taken right out of "Goblin", "Tale of the Nine-Tailed", and "Doom at Your Service." Beyond his Thanos-like finger snap and cross tattoo, there was very little that made him unique.
Tumblr media
For a writer who criticized goblins, nail-tailed foxes, grim reapers, and vampires, Choi Ah Il failed to differentiate her demon. Gu Won could've been a distinctive supernatural character with his own unique backstory or even a different style, but instead, he felt like a Frankenstein creation of well-established supernatural creatures. Ultimately, I was left to wonder if the writer or even Gu Won himself knew who he really was.
Tumblr media
In my field, we constantly aim to create innovative and original ideas. Therefore, I understand the fear that can come with breaking new ground. For Choi Ah Il's first fantasy drama, the fear of her original ideas not being good enough might have led her to heavily rely on existing works.
My advice to Choi Ah Il is to have more confidence in both herself and her ideas. When we put our entire heart and soul into our work, our sincerity and passion will shine through, making them more likely to be appreciated by others. We should embrace all of our "crazy" ideas instead of plagiarizing others' work. Even if our idea doesn't work out, at least we know we gave it our all. And this, to me, is infinitely more fulfilling than imitating others.
So in conclusion, "My Demon" had the potential to be a great fantasy drama, but it seemed to copy too much from others' works. Whether it's an issue of inspiration or outright plagiarism, the drama left me wondering what ideas truly belonged to Choi Ah Il. As viewers, we deserve to experience a writer's unique voice, not a patchwork of borrowed elements hastily stitched together. Going forward, I'll probably give this writer one more chance to improve her scriptwriting. I must add that if it weren't for the great cast and their impeccable acting and adlibs, this drama would've been doomed due to its messy plot and lack of true originality.
Below are some scenes and concepts from other shows and movies that are nearly identical to the ones in "My Demon". I'll let you decide for yourself if you think the writer of "My Demon" was inspired by other's works or simply plagiarized them.
(Note: I might add more later, but it's a lot of work to go through each show and screenshot everything and then compile them in a collage)
p.s. I'll post my review, thoughts, and analysis for Eps 15-16 in a few days!
Goblin The Great and Lonely God
Hooded supernatural
Tumblr media
2. Objects that represent the end of a human's journey...clocks instead of tea cups
Tumblr media
3. The mother has complications with her daughter's birth and is saved by a supernatural being
Tumblr media
4. In the past, the FL dies, ML kills a bunch of people, and ML ends his life. ML has memories of his past sins erased. As punishment, ML is turned into a grim reaper character.
Tumblr media
Others:
The quote Madam Ju said in Ep 3 about plants and seeds was similar to the one said by Ji Tak in "Goblin": Humans have four lives. A life of planting seeds, a life of watering seeds, a life of harvesting, and a life of using the harvests.
The ML's had blamed God for all the obstacles in their lives and when they finally got a chance to talk to God, God told them they didn't have all the anwers to their questions and that they didn't know everything similar to God in MD.
The FL dies at the peak of her happiness similar to how in MD, the FL's parents died at the peak of her happiness.
The FL in "Goblin" was the key to ending the ML's life as an immortal just like how in MD, the FL was the key to making the ML human.
Tale of the Nine Tailed
Supernatural ML has an obsession with desserts
Tumblr media
2. FL died in the past to save the ML
Tumblr media
3. FL's parents is involved in a car accident on FL's birthday (9th birthday in TOTNT and 10th birthday in MD)
Tumblr media
4. Wishes Granted By The Devils
Tumblr media
5. Wishes and Exploiting Other's Misfortunes to Survive
Tumblr media
6. FL wears object and remembers tragic past life
Tumblr media
7. Personal Hell is being in a world without the FL
Tumblr media
8. Working for the Divine as Their Best Performer
Tumblr media
9. Mother-like Figure is a Goddess
Tumblr media
10. Wearing Two Wedding Rings
Tumblr media
Others:
In "Tale of the Nine Tailed," The Almighty granted Nine-Tailed Foxes or Gumihos various powers, but they were bound by one rule: they must fulfill their end of the deal/contract with humans or face death. This rule aimed to prevent Gumihos from murdering humankind. Similarly, in "My Demon," Gu Won faced a similar fate. If he didn't make deals with humans, he would die. Additionally, if Gu Won murdered humans, he would also face death. In both cases, rules and contracts were established to prevent supernatural beings endowed with god-like powers from killing humans.
The concept of wanting to live or die together in TOTNT was also present in MD
In TOTNT, the FL tried to protect the ML, but ended up dying. In the present, the ML made it a mission to protect the FL to prevent the same tragic fate from happening. ML ended up saving the FL in present but died in the process...and then ML came back to life just like in MD.
ML in TOTNT came back to life/was reincarnated as a mortal human with Gumiho powers similar to how after Gu Won came back to life, he was a human with demon powers.
Twilight
Supernatural leaves human because they hates their monstrous nature
Tumblr media
2. Supernatural watches their human sleep
Tumblr media
3. Human is kidnapped to draw out supernatural ML
Tumblr media
4. Human gets a leg injury during kidnapping
Tumblr media
Others:
Gu Won played "Clair de lune" just like Edward did in Twilight
Doom At Your Service
Listening to others' wishes and meeting a wisher that would change their fate
Tumblr media
2. Beginning of a new journey filled with hand-holding, bubbles, and water
Tumblr media
3. Necessaity of holding hands/wrist to recharge
Tumblr media
4. Creating a dream of the FL's deepest desire
Tumblr media
5. Celebrating a supernatural's birthday
Tumblr media
Others:
One of the major themes in DAYS was choices just like in MD
Hotel Del Luna
Fireflies by the lake
Tumblr media
Others:
FL's name was Man Wol (means "Full Moon") in HDL and FL's name in MD was Wol Sim (means "Moon Heart")

I've been thinking about what exactly it is I hate so much about this new round of fandom-as-activism, even though I'm a Black person, and I think it's the same reason why I avoid online book circles--doubly so, if they mostly push YA. There is this constant use of passive voice that assumes the speaker is helpless and completely without agency, as though the act of reading a book, playing a game, or watching a movie/show is the same as an attack on one's person if you don't like the media. "This game depicts a route wherein one of the love interests is a stalker!" Okay, turn off the game. "This BL manhwa depicts a stalker and a serial killer/misogynist being in a toxic, maladaptive relationship! It's not a romance! The fans are sick, evil people" Okay, this manhwa isn't the first of its kind, nor will it be the last. There's dark romance that's M/F, M/M/, and F/F., and they're extremely popular. You clearly don't like it. Stop reading. "This danmei shows the two main characters as awful people who abuse and lie to each other over and over again! How could people like this?!" Yes, that's why the core fanbase likes it. Stop reading it since it's not your thing. "This YA novel has a love triangle with an older, toxic ML who is controlling to the main character and seemingly forces himself on her! Inappropriate and pedophilia!" Ravishment fantasies are extremely common across races, ethnicities, nationalities, genders, and sexualities. Young people should have ways to engage with their sexualities without harm from the real world and older people. Stop reading it. "This fanfiction depicts instances of racism that I don't like! It's harassment!" It's not harassment, and it's not mainstream media that's everywhere. You have to go out of your way to read it. Just stop reading it. "This HBO show and its predecessor shows incestuous relationships, the most popular being an uncle-niece relationship! They're promoting incest." It's just a story. incest is common in monarch/noble-centered stories to symbolize the decay or decline of said family or noble class, as well as being common practice in real life nobles because of blood purity. You clearly don't like it. Just stop watching.
A book, fanfiction, movie, show, manga/hwa/hua is just a text, of sorts. It is an object. It cannot perform action. It cannot hurt anyone (unless we're talking about propaganda, which is something different). Everyone engages with and interprets a story differently because we all have individual experiences that we bring with us that results in specific dislikes or triggers. Engaging with media is not the equivalent of someone hitting you in the head with a sledgehammer because that will universally hurt. Someone being offended by a book or show is not universal because of the previous explanation. I'm not sure if these people actually like these things but want to prove their moral purity, so they complain and attack or whatever other reason. It always just comes across as extremely performative, unnecessary, childish, and American (pejorative). They act as though the world is constantly testing them with temptation via media, and they must pursue the path of penance and flagellation or risk going to hell. Grow up. This is so embarrassing.

sorry for the Talos-Principle-2-posting but like. okay, first, for context so i don't sound insane, the plot of the series is that around 2020ish, global warming released a disease from the arctic permafrost that drove humanity to extinction within a few years. before going extinct, a team of scientists managed to set up an iterative simulation that would run in a loop until it produced a "true" AI, then upload that AI to a physical robot body to ensure sentient life still exists in the universe.
the first game was that iterative simulation, and the "true" ending has you become the first AI to break out of the simulation and return to the physical world. the sequel follows the society that gives rise to, the members of which are interestingly always referred to as "humans" despite being entirely non-biological.
the central conflict of the second game is between two factions. the ruling conservative faction points to the mistakes of their biological ancestors (i.e. us) as a natural consequence of expanding too far and/or wielding too much power; for example, global warming releasing the aforementioned plague from permafrost. the opposing faction counters by pointing out that we aren't necessarily doomed to repeat the past; in fact, knowing the mistakes our predecessors made enables us to avoid them and succeed where our forebears failed.
this rhetoric felt really familiar to me and i couldn't put my finger on why until a couple hours in. then it hit me: "power is inherently evil and corrupts those who wield it and should be avoided", "we can't do [x] because we tried it in the past and it failed"... this is just bog-standard anarchist vs ML tumblr [none pizza with] left beef that's been getting rehashed since 2013

My Favorite BL Series Currently Airing
Jack and The Joker
This series, although, only on its 3rd episode, has the most interesting storyline. The cast is great, as is the pacing of the story. This is the one I, currently, look forward to the most, each week. It’s got humor, pathos, action, and adventure; and I’m sure the passion will follow! It’s a hate-to-love storyline.
Love Sick 2024
This new version of Love Sick is much better than the original, so far. The attraction between the two MLs is palpable, almost from the start. The casting, and acting, even of these newcomers, is very good and the story seems fresh, although it’s a school-set scenario. I am, really, looking forward to see where this one goes. Coming-of-age storyline.
First Note of Love
I really like the MLs in this one and Taiwanese series are, almost, always good quality with the writing, acting, scripting, and direction. This one is no exception. Though, so far, not as good as many of its predecessors, it is well-worth the watch. Original storyline—friends-to-lovers?
A Tai/Thai collab.
Happy of the End
This series is not for everybody, because it’s dark, depressing, extremely violent, and heavy, but I loved it. It was beautiful in its way. You’ve been warned.
There’s no way to easily categorize the theme of this one.
So, what are YOUR favorites, currently?

Gale Reviews: ML Season 5 episode 21 Confrontation
Spoilers below
-Ohhh okay, starting out with the drama bomb
-So for those that forgot (Like me) Gabriel is sending adrien to London for Private school. And Adrien cant fill out the orientation form because of it
-Plagg... My boy. No cheese jokes.
-So all the students are stressed about the meeting
-Oh so Marinette also got the guilt that now that Lila is the class rep there will be some fishy business.
-Yea the jobs are what I would expect for Nino and Alya
-Ivan out here showing himself to be loyal af. All other men need to step up their game. Mylene showing ambition.
-Juleka wants to be a mortician. Sticking to your asthetic, but didnt she want to model? Or was it just to help her get out of her shell. Meh
-Sabrina wants to be a nurse,
-Yea, Marinette's worries are justified
-Chloé and Lila having Opposite goals, one doesnt care because she is rich, Lila basically wants to "Resolve everything" but thats a lie
-Adrienette cuteness!
-Adrien, you are going to have to tell her eventually
-You can screen shot this and write "Moments before a disaster" and it would be accurate
-And they are shredding them. Im not even surprised
-"In case of a problem, blame it on your predecessor." Its nice to know kids shows are accurately explaining politics to children for once.
-"Its gonna hurt people?" THATS 90% OF THE S*** CHLOÉ HAS YOU DO! NOW YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT?
-Also Sabrina being a whistle blower is TOO on the nose, even for this show.
-Principal damocles is going to find out about the resistance! Wait, is he cool with it? He actually covered for them. I guess being a hero has helped you be less of a jerk... BUT I still am not cool with the BS from episode 14. You are on VERY thin ICE Owl man
-The class wants to go to the same school together, thats sweet
-Oh, that call must have been Sabrina. But we will see
-Oh right, Adrien still hasnt filled out his form
-Welp now he did
-But now I believe this is where all the pennies drop
-Why is there a just a random ass toilet trailer? Is that really the only bathroom in the school?
-Adrien exhibiting true AND KEN behavior.
-Lila once again proving that all the adults in this show are idiots. Bustier does seem at least a little bit suspect tho
-It is interesting to see how the teachers are. Bustier is suspect of it since she knows her students, Damocles is being his best to be supportive and Mendelev doesnt give a f***
-Juleka already repeated a year, thus confirming Luka and her as twins via the retcon
-Cue the reactions
-Juleka is gonna get akumatized...
-Monarch must have a guy that writes all of these speeches for him to speak before he does this.
-Yea I know Rose was trying, but yea. If I was repeating a year. I would NOT be in a mode to try and be positive.
-And she gets Roarr
-WHY IS ALWAYS REFLEKTA THO?
-Bustier realize she let this happen
-Lucky charm is tape.
-"You cant touch the bakers, I love their croissants to much" and their daughter. You forgot that last part chat noir
-SO THATS WHAT HAPPENS IF TWO FALCON PUNCHES COLLIDE?
-Wait... thats it? That barely lasted 2 minutes. and the episode isnt over.
-Monarch thinks there will be more akuma soon. I see
-Chloé and Lila really pulling this crap
-Oh they remember how Sabrina can forge handwritings and thus Marinette isnt going to get in trouble. And Chloé throws her under the bus
-Lila and Chloé really didnt expect Sabrina to turn Whistle blower on them. Chloé I get, because Sabrina has been loyal dog for years and the writing for her has Chloé have the mental capacity of a parsnip since season 4.
-Okay Lila that was well played lie right there. That is A tier gaslighting.
-I will give this scene credit, Lila is absolutely HORRIFYING. I can see the next season's main villain already. Since I assume Gabriel is probably dying this season.
-Chloé out here being a dumbass
-Sabrina you sly dog, you got her Monologue-ing
-Sabrina I put you as the least favorite classmate after episode 14, but now I gotta retcon that. Sure it was messed up what you helped chloé with. But that absolute MASTERY of playing Lila. Just, Chef's kiss. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
-Sabrina and Marinette's plan worked. Also, Mr.Damocles was okay with that?
-Ah so none this matters. Because Andre is also being whipped.
-Damocles looking like he cant take the bulls*** anymore and Monarch ready to capitalize on it
-The magic reacts to emotion, which means... IF the person is strong enough emotionally to resist it. Then the charm has a purpose
-Lila just straight up left.
-CHAT NOIR! But he is making it worse
-JULEKA! This moment probably will not have as much impact as it does in any other dub. French dub superiority
-OOOO it makes a shield that purifies the mega akuma. Neat
-Monarch crying like a bitch
-Damocles finally standing up to Andre. Good on him
-Damocles going out like a G.
-Chat noir telling ladybug what happened and her having to act like she didnt know
-Bustier calling Chloé in.
-"You cant expell me." "Nah bitch, thats a problem for you." is how I saw that exchange
-LILA WAS WEARING A WIG! I KNEW SHE WAS A FAKE B****
-HER NAME IS CERISE?
______________________________________________________
WELL that was a lot.
So i think part of me really likes this episode, but also doesnt.
I like that Lila finally got exposed and Damocles got his redemption for his failures of the past. Going out like a G.
But all this stuff with Lila having ANOTHER life. Thats just nuts.
so overally 7/10
I will do a review of Collusion tomorrow

Something IMPORTANT that ML completely forget to included in canon series
“ LORE AND BACKSTORY “
This two important thing aside Character Development and consistency that ML completely forget to be included. But which Lore and Backstories that deserve to be included in series and deserved its own Episode for it :
GABRIEL BACKSTORY (Before meet Emilie and before her “Death”)
If you wanted to prove that Gabriel indeed used to be a good man just like how the narrative wanted to sympathize with him, then SHOW IT ON HIS FREAKING FLASHBACK ! There are LOT OF HINTS about his background but it only mentioned in exposition rather than shown from his point of view. Heck we also didn’t even see in from Adrien flashback about how Gabriel used to be from his point-of-view. Adrien mention that Gabriel is “changed-man” after Emilie “Death” but That Guy didn’t show some mini brief flashback about how he used to be from his own son point-of-view. Dear orc and his followers, how can I sympathize with Gabriel if we can’t see how he used to be on-screen to make the viewer understand him but spend lot of money on unnecessary “CHloe Is EvuuuulZzz All Along” flashback episode only to excuse Marinette stalkery behavior ?
THE LORE OF ALL MIRACULOUSES
Oh yes ! This one is need to be mentioned in EARLY EPISODE instead in NON-CANON COMIC. Sure the comic explained quite good concept about Miraculouses and Kwami but they don’t expand or mentioned it again in freaking canon-show. They have TWO MOVIES about another Miraculouses but still doesn’t bring about the creator of the jewels or how the jewels were created ! Making the movies are pointless “other country representation”
OTHER IMPORTANT CHARACTER BACKSTORY
They show spend lot of money to create unnecessary filler episode that not really important for the plot. Derision included since it was nothing more a cheap excuse about Marinette stalkery behavior need blamed on Chloe and her “love-trauma” is completely random since it never shown when she date Luka (Maybe Luka is not white-blonde boy lols) .We already know almost everything about Bourgeois but it doesn’t really important for the plot but what about the other character who willingly worked or having a connection with Gabriel and anything that still ties with the plot of then show ?
There are many unnecessary filler episode that can be replaced with :
Adrien’s backstory before Emilie “Death” since we need to learn about how his life before the series started like come on~ He is THE MAIN CHARACTER right ?!
Emilie’s backstory ! Is she good or evil ?! Who the hell is she ?! Why we should care about her and her “death” is impact for the plot ?!
How the Order or Guardian founded ? are they good or evil ?!
Were there any Butterfly Predecessor that ever become Evil which resulting why the power of Buttterfly renamed as “Akumatization” ?
Nathalie past and how she meet both Emilie and Gabriel
Tomoe Tsurugi past and why she wanted worked with Gabriel (+ Kagami’s past)
Lila past especially WHO THE HELL IS SHE ?! Is she human or Alien-something ?
I know that some of you claim “It was budget reason” or something to defend lacking of this. Here something I need to talk with you : Agent Ali and BoBoiBoy the 3D Animation from Malaysia, while the budget are not as much as Miraculous Ladybug, they still show about the lore and backstory that important for the plot
Before expand the story into Galaxy series, Original Series BoBoiBoy already had the backstory of the antagonist, the race of the antagonist origin and the lore of Power Sphera (The robot who also of the source of any power) and why the robots constantly hunted by many Aliens by have the 1st generation of Power Sphera show in the 1st movie. Season 1 of Galaxy has brief explanation about TAPOPS (organization of Power Sphera protector) and a canon-special chapter about Fang and Kaizo past. The 2nd Movie and Season 2 Galaxy explain the lore of BoBoiBoy Elemental form, their previous masters (most of them explained brief by their closed relation and family), fusion form and 3rd tier form. Mechamato is a prequel about Amato (BoBoiBoy Father) childhood. Sure we still has no idea about Fang and the others power origins but at least they already explain the lore of the main character power and important things like some antagonist origin and the Power Sphera
Agents Ali has several flashback and backstory about the main series important character like the main character, pillar chiefs, antagonist and the rivals to know about their life and their motivation. Even the minor one like Young Agents has a chance to share about their motivation .Then we have a movie about Aliya, Ali’s mother and creator of IRIS and OVERRIDE MODE (the gadget who constantly hunted by main villains), her past and the villain who connected with her
There are lot of children animation that still care about to show background of important character.Steven Universe has SEVERAL flashback to show about the Diamonds, Rose Quartz and Crystal Gems and Greg Universe past to know about their character. ATLA has flashback about royal nation family, the main character past and how the character learn their elemental power
Miraculous Ladybug forget to include it since they only care about Love Square fanservice and “revenge-fantasy” on bratty teenage girl. In Season 5 they try to include these but only create more retcon and inconsistency and become way too rushed

Review of If We Were Villians by ML Rio
what is funny is that a few months ago i read secret history, and these books have basically the same plot. i still really enjoyed the book. it was written well and it was emotional and sweet. it is ironic because one of the reviews said it was one of a kind. which, if you've read secret history, is clearly not true. but not being original is not a bad thing. the book was distinct from its predecessor in many ways. it was also a book about queer love. i think some people will disagree with me about that, because it skirted around open queer love. but honestly, that is what a lot of queer love is. plenty of people LOVE their best friends in a romantic way, and don't realize it or don't act on it. that is a very real queer experience. ML Rio says something along the lines of "our relationship transcended sexuality" and that is queer love too. i would recommend the book. i think it is more engaging than secret history. secret history took me awhile to get into, but this book i was hooked right away. the characters were great, and honestly, i loved the shakespeare. I am not obsessed with Shakespeare like the characters are, but I love a shakespeare play as much as the next bookish and nerdy gal. I love learning more about the plays through other people's interpretations of them

Arguably the funniest part of the sentitwins being Ben and Kaine ripoffs is the fact that the storyline they came from is actually pretty infamous for how poorly written and planned out it was. The entire Clone Saga was just retcon after retcon. A large number of comic readers just skip it entirely because it's too confusing. Like I would've hated to be reading it as it came out (this is from the 90s lmao) because it made no sense at all. It still doesn't make sense. Comic issues and events are now planned out and mass coordinated YEARS in advance due to the trainwreck that was the Clone Saga. Anyway apparently Astruc learned absolutely nothing from his predecessors because we are in the EXACT same place rn with the show
At least ML is being an authentic sendoff to the tangled web of retcons and wack plot threads!

OK so i saw a couple of trending dramas, here are my reviews on them hihi :)
Strong girl nam soon = ... wtf was that drama. Dgw, I love love my girl yoomi, but boy did her character make me wanna whack her ass back to Mongolia. Ik the directors tried to make her quote quirky unquote. But they missed the mark by a couple thousand miles, she's more of an airhead than a quirky, bubbly girl. I hate, hate the characters sm in the drama, they're all so.... one dimensional. Probably that's why many are defending shi-o or were rooting for him, cause he's the only one with some depth to his character. Half the scenes with ML and namsoon were so ... weird. It all felt so forced, there was no pining like its super iconic predecessor strong woman do bongsoon, there were no iconic scenes like minhyuk melting into a puddle when bongsoon called him min min or gokdu's tsundere antics, this drama gave nothing. And why bother calling it strong girl nam soon when half the entire drama revolved around her mother's weird ass obsession with being a messiah and the grandmother's cringey love story. It's sad to see such talent get wasted on a script that looked like a newborn had written it. 4/10 would not recommend.
Business proposal = ikik this drama isn't 'trending' perse but it still is quite highly talked about. And I'm glad I checked it out, the chemistry between seol in-ah and minkyu was JS8W8SOQ8SJQKA91828SIW lmao and ahn hyeon seop nailed the role. Such a lighthearted and fun drama, sejeong's quirky-ness was adorable and funny, I still giggle whenever I remember 'Rachel and samantha'. I was a bit worried that they'll go on a an entire tangent on the ceo's back story, but I'm glad they didn't and kept it light and fun but also simultaneously giving the ceo closure and comfort. 7/10 would recommend because I'm scared of the archeopteryx
Twinkling watermelon = wtf was that drama pt 2. But In a good way. It scared me so deeply but also applied ointment and gave me a hug. Such a comforting drama. No drama could ever make me cry on the second episode but guess what, twinkling watermelon did that. I was bawling throughout, but also laughed, and cooed because the chemistry between eomma and appa was adorable! No wonder they love each other sm, they've been thru so much. :(((( as someone who's worried about my youth slipping away, I found immense comfort in that drama. And how eun ho said something along the lines of, "enjoy your youth, it's the only time you'll twinkle. You don't have to be worried about me sk much, I'll find my way, it's my life after all" >>>>> and the ending when the music master said, "to you and to everyone you wish to protect, viva la vida, long live life" I'm never getting over that drama. Although I did find seol's character a bit annoying in the beginning because she wasn't letting eomma and appa meet but then I fell for her too lol. What a cutie. 9/10 would recommend to everyone till the time I'm blocked by them.
My demon = the newly trending song Kang drama was quite fun to see, although only 2 eps are out, I'm invested lol. I've always been a huge fan of Kang since I saw him in sweet home. And yoojung is practically my wife. The chemistry was off the roof, the visuals, the tension, the acting, the humor >>>>>> 8/10 I'm excited to see how this drama will unfold. I've a lot of expectations.

Heaven's Golden Finger - Barbara_Doran
Song Shirong had expected to die. He didn't expect to find himself transported into a new life in an ancient China that never was. He absolutely hadn't expected to find himself with new powers and an elder sect brother who hates his predecessor's guts.
"I know how these things go. Can I have a new character please?"
Read: https://www.wattpad.com/story/176842853-heaven%27s-golden-finger
MC: Song Shirong | ML: Shun (I couldn’t figure out/can’t remember top/bottom)
Setting: Xianxia/xuanhuan with additional western fantasy elements
The MC transmigrates from the modern world to the xianxia world. There is a strong magical beast/magical creature theme, plus the MC saying English words OR the direct [Chinese/in-world] translation that the other characters don’t understand at all 🤣🤣 The western fantasy elements come in as we meet western-fantasy-style creatures later on in the story ^_^
Overall, it’s pretty humorous and lighthearted and a pretty short read compared to other xianxia out there!

NYCFC by Gretel
The Five Borough Bond, putting New York City at the heart of its football club
Ten years since its founding, New York City FC asked itself what it would take to reach the upper echelons of MLS clubs and New York City teams.
An ambitious plan that included a new soccer stadium in Queens and significant investment in player development was in the works. But to continue building a devoted base of hardcore fans while inspiring new ones to join would mean reframing what the club stood for beyond the game.
Any team that seeks to stake its claim to NYC needs to live up to the city’s colossal character. Our approach was to develop a visual and verbal identity that embodied the relentless hustle and eclectic spirit of the city.
Eight million interlocking stories
To capture the spirit of our club and city, we developed The Five Borough Bond— a creative platform that serves as our core ethos and guiding metaphor. The Five Borough Bond embraces contrast and juxtaposition, a wild mix of ever-changing local flavors and iconic legacies. The relentless hustle and colossal scale of the city—edgy, tough and resilient— enriched by the pulsing rhythm and poetic beauty of everyday life, interwoven with unexpected moments made possible through eight million interlocking stories. By forging bonds across all five boroughs and celebrating the stories of New Yorkers brought together by NYCFC, we are continuously building the future of our club, our city, and our game.
From local club to global icon
The club’s updated badge builds on its subway token-inspired predecessor crafted by Matthew Wolff in collaboration with founding fans. The overall structure was optimized for legibility at small scales, while individual elements were refined to work together harmoniously or used independently as a suite of marks. A refined monogram sits at the center of the badge, designed with enhanced balance and confident proportions that evoke a strength and pride that matches the bold spirit of the city. Its construction mirrors the geometry and flared serifs in the identity’s subway signage inspired typefaces, featured in the outer ring lettering. The badge is punctuated by a pentagon on each side as a continued reference to the five boroughs of New York City. Developed in a close collaboration between Gretel, Frere-Jones Type, and the New York City FC team.
The characters of the City
The team’s custom typeface is a modern imagination of the iconic pre-modernist signage used across the Independent Subway System (IND), which has connected New York City’s five boroughs since its construction in 1932. Concepted in-house and drawn by Frere-Jones Type, ‘NYCFC’ appears in two styles.
‘Local’ is built on the rectilinear geometry and petit serif flares found in monospaced tile lettering, which is still prominent in stations citywide. ‘Express’ marries the same details with the bold and idiosyncratic proportions featured in the IND’s directional signage. Their interchanged use in combination with inset details and companion pictograms reflects the voice of a team that represents all of New York City – loud, irreverent and cacophonous.
Weaving together NYC’s urban fabric
The brand’s mosaic system is a visual representation of the Five Borough Bond — individual components of various shapes and colors, woven together into an interconnected tapestry. Modular by nature, mosaics build and scale into structural elements, camouflage patterns, and generative textures that portray the different neighborhoods across the boroughs. As a system, these brand elements weave together the countless stories that unite the club and the city, from the pavement to the pitch.
“For over a decade, this club has been writing our story, building our foundations, together. Now we stand at the precipice of a monumental era, with every facet of our identity primed to meet this moment.”
Milo Kowalski, Director of Brand Marketing & Creative Services

>>FULL STEPS FOR PREPARATION IS HERE<<
Tumblr media
When it comes to brunch cocktails, the mimosa is a staple. This classic drink, traditionally made with orange juice and champagne, is a refreshing and light option that’s perfect for a mid-morning celebration. But for those seeking a seasonal twist, the Apple Cider Mimosa is the perfect alternative. Combining the sweet and tart flavors of apple cider with the effervescence of champagne or sparkling wine, this drink offers the same refreshing qualities of a traditional mimosa but with a cozy, autumnal flair. Whether you’re hosting a fall brunch or ringing in the New Year, the Apple Cider Mimosa is sure to impress your guests.
In this article, we will delve into every aspect of the Apple Cider Mimosa, including the ingredients, step-by-step instructions, and various tips for enhancing this delicious cocktail. We’ll also explore different ways to customize the drink to suit your taste and occasion, as well as creative garnishing ideas to elevate your presentation.
The Origins of the Mimosa
Before diving into the specifics of the Apple Cider Mimosa, it’s important to understand the history of its classic predecessor, the mimosa. The mimosa is believed to have been created in the 1920s, possibly by a bartender named Frank Meier at the Ritz Hotel in Paris. The drink was originally made with equal parts of orange juice and champagne, offering a light, bubbly, and citrusy cocktail that was perfect for the daytime. The mimosa quickly became a brunch favorite, especially in the United States, and has remained a popular cocktail ever since.
Why Apple Cider Mimosa?
While the traditional mimosa remains a crowd favorite, many people seek something a little different for the fall and winter months. Apple cider, with its warm and comforting flavor profile, is an ideal choice for this seasonal variation. It brings a slightly sweet and tangy taste to the drink, balancing perfectly with the dry or semi-dry champagne or sparkling wine. The combination of cider and bubbles provides a refreshing yet cozy cocktail, making it perfect for cool-weather gatherings like Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any fall-inspired celebration.
Ingredients: What You’ll Need for the Apple Cider Mimosa
To make a traditional Apple Cider Mimosa, you’ll need a few simple ingredients. The beauty of this drink is that you don’t need any complicated components to create something delicious.
Key Ingredients:
Apple Cider: Choose a high-quality apple cider for the best flavor. Opt for fresh, unfiltered cider rather than spiced or sweetened versions, as this will provide a more natural and balanced taste. Apple cider is typically available in stores during the fall and early winter months, but you can also find it online or make your own by pressing apples at home.
Champagne or Sparkling Wine: A dry or semi-dry champagne is the best option for this recipe, as it balances the sweetness of the cider without overpowering it. If you prefer a slightly sweeter cocktail, a sparkling wine with a little more residual sugar can also work well. Prosecco, cava, or any other type of sparkling wine can be used if champagne is unavailable. The effervescence of the bubbles in the sparkling wine is a key element in giving the mimosa its refreshing character.
Cinnamon Sugar (Optional): For a touch of extra flavor and decoration, you can rim the glasses with cinnamon sugar. This adds a festive, spiced element to the drink that complements the apple cider’s flavors. To make cinnamon sugar, mix equal parts of cinnamon and sugar and use it to coat the rim of the glass.
Apple Slices: Fresh apple slices are the perfect garnish for an Apple Cider Mimosa. Use thin slices of a crisp apple, such as a Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, for a bright contrast to the drink’s colors and flavors. The apple slices will not only add visual appeal but also a hint of fruity aroma.
Cinnamon Sticks (Optional): For an added seasonal touch, you can drop a cinnamon stick into each glass, giving the drink a subtle spiced aroma. This makes the mimosa even more perfect for holiday occasions.
