Bi-han: "you disrespectful runt!" *holds hanzo up by the scruff*

Tomas coming from around the corner: "Bi-han! What are you doing!?" *runs over and scoops up a now crying Hanzo*

Tomas, glaring at a shocked Bi-han: "You cannot be rough with him, he is just a boy!"

Bi-han: "I wasn't-" *Tomas raises his hand, not wanting to hear it. He soothes a sniffling Hanzo as he walks away*

Tomas: "Hush Hanzo, do not worry, you are safe" *Hanzo nods as he wipes away fake tears. He makes sure to stick his tongue out at a speechless Bi-Han as they round the corner*

new era!bi-han: shows affection through acts of service because he doesn't know how to summarize how he feels about you. he knows he loves you, that's a fact. and that you are the only person who has the key to his heart.

the nights at lin kuei temple are cold, so he always provides warm clothes and fur so you can withstand the local temperature. he is occasionally haunted by an insecurity that you will abandon him for someone who would be more affectionate with you. however, it was his reserved and mysterious personality that caught your attention. kuai liang and tomas often make jokes about your relationship to tease their brother (and they succeed). his cheeks were filled with a prominent blush.

Oh, hey! Guess what I just found unfinished in my drafts :'D Sorry, Gwen, I hope you're ok with "better later than never"🫣

But in any case, let's talk about Princesses and Knightresses!🩷💛

The way I see, we got two versions of this ship (New Era's and Previous Era) and I love them both!

If I had to choose a favourite, I'd go with the New Era version, cause I think I like these versions of the characters better!

I do love the forbidden love! And I love to see characters being each other's guardians! Tanya going from being protective of Mileena out of duty to being protective of her out of love is just so beautiful!

I can only imagine Tanya showing the first signs of affection towards Mileena and Mileena going "You don't have to pretend you care this much" or "You don't have to do this, it's not part of your job" and Tanya only replying with something around the lines of "I'm not doing this cause I have to, I'm doing this because I want to" or "because I care about you and not just as my princess"

I want to see how they got to where they are now, who fell first, how was their journey to come in terms with their feelings and did Mileena make dating legal yet??👀👀

I think it's a really sweet couple with a lot of potential and though it is a shame that we didn't get to see much of them in canon, I'll be damned if I limit myself to "what canon offered me", lmao!

Now regarding the previous version:

I guess my favourite thing about this ship is the possibility of Tanya, the (Out)worldly known backstabber, find someone she truly feel compelled to be loyal to!

We never knew for sure if Tanya's love for Mileena developed to the point she completely gave up the idea of betray her (you can thank Kotal and D'Vorah for that)😑 but I like to imagine that there was a chance, especially if you consider that she stood by Mileena's side in her ending and helped her raise her child!

If Tanya really got to (not give up her backstabbing nature) but at least found someone worth fully trust and follow without ulterior motives, than that's definitely the ship for me (and it has a lot of angst potential if you do include Mileena's death and Tanya's pain of losing the only person she ever truly devoted herself to)!

But if it's just, "Tanya is using Mileena and potentially even taking advantage of Mileena's feelings for her" than the ship lost all it's sparkle for me :/

HC: there's a memorial for Tomas' family near the border of Lin Kuei territory where they were killed

Tomas would always visit on the anniversary of their deaths. After leaving for the Shirai Ryu, he hadn't been there in some time so he decides to sneak into Lin Kuei territory.

He's suprised to see it not only has been well kept but someone has recently paid their respects. Tomas swallows over the lump in his throat as he noticed at the base, sat snowdrops in its own isolated patch of snow.

Only one person knew they were his mother's favorite flower.

Oliver knew to keep his gaze elsewhere as he walked.

It was a bit surreal to him that this place full of mercs and morally corrupt had a cafeteria not unlike his old high school's. There were even cliques and rivalries–just more violent than the average high school. And like high school, Oliver had already made enemies of the little groups. Just as well–he preferred the broken table in the corner. It was easy to keep his back to the wall and somehow he always avoided getting splinters from it.

"What's the new kid doing here?" A man with sideburns and a pointed goatee muttered.

"Didn't die on the last mission suicide mission," a woman with pigtails answered across from him.

Oliver gripped the tray. Why was this the chatter he had to pick out? He snatched an apple–bottom of the barrel with how soft it felt–and turned so he could go to his favorite corner.

"You hear how he got brought on?" Kabal asked with a smirk.

"Uh-uh," the woman and man with the goatee shook their heads.

"Came to me with the sad story of trying to find his crazy ass sister."

"Aw, sad boy with a fucked up sister?" The woman replied with mock sadness. "Probably a dead sister now," she laughed before resuming her meal.

Oliver felt his skin begin to crawl as he forced himself to stare ahead. He just had to walk by and not glare holes into anyone's head.

"Sister, eh?" The man with the goatee asked. "Might see if I can find her before him–"

The tray slammed into the man's head before Oliver realized what he was doing. Everyone froze. Suddenly, westerns didn't seem that fun to Oliver.

"The fuck was that for?" The man with the goatee jumped to his feet and tore the tray from Oliver's hands in one smooth motion.

Oliver scrambled back, only to step onto the mushy apple he had taken. He slipped as the man swiped the tray where Oliver had been seconds ago.

"Aw, Jarek, leave some for the rest of us!" The woman yelled out.

Oliver rolled as the man–Jarek–slammed his foot down. He felt the grips of the boot graze his hip. Oliver scrambled to his knees and then his feet. But a tight crowd had already formed around them. He turned just as Jarek leaned back on his right leg and raised his fists. Oliver swallowed and leaned back on his left leg.

"Get on with it!" Somebody yelled and pushed Oliver forward. 

He stumbled forward and into Jarek's fist. Oliver spun, lights flashing to his left. As he struggled to stand, a boot slammed into his side. Ribs popped and he hit the floor. A broken bottle tore his left hand open. Oliver's vision began to swim as he struggled to breathe. He snatched the neck of the bottle with his right hand and spun, not caring where the jagged glass went if it meant getting the man off of him.

Jarek howled.

Oliver cracked open his good eye and saw blood pouring from Jarek's cheek. Kabal and the woman were holding him back–they looked annoyed.
