I'll Always Wait For You
Model O! JM x CEO A! JK
Jimin has always known his inner wolf was picky and would let him know when it found the mate it wanted. They had a deal
It agreed for him to follow his dream to be a model by relocating to Paris in his teens provided that when Jimin achieved super model status he moved back to Y-City to go hunting for a suitable mate among the eligible bachelors.
That time had finally come and he was getting ready for his first mixer at Taehyung's house when his bestie casually mentioned Jungkook.
The pretty CEO had graced the cover of a business magazine but made it look like a high fashion shoot.
Despite their own agreements to wait for a fated mate, both Jimin and his Omega were willing to play around just a little bit to see how JK's tattoos looked when he flexed his arms.
On meeting Jungkook's gaze however his inner wolf suddenly was in a tizzy.
O!: Oh fuck.. It’s him. I can't believe it’s him.
JM: “Why are we panicking?”
O!: It’s my husband.
Jimin suddenly had a sinking feeling that his Omega had skipped out on some crucial information ...

Hi. So. I'm missing my Grandma. I moved a few months ago and she's not a place she can do really any traveling, and I'm not making it back home this year for various reasons but. Idk I just miss her, even talking on the phone isn't the same as when I lived with her. And I miss her food like crazy. So I thought I could share some of her recipes, if y'all want. Some of these she learned from her mother in law, and a couple of these are just from her family and she always loves getting recipes so she hoards them. I think she has every cook book and cooking magazine to ever exist; we have one from the 1800s that tells you how to cook bear lmfao. But they're all pretty fucking amazing so. Yeah.
I'm gonna put these under a read more for you guys ^^.
Frosted Sugar Cookies
Sugar Cookies
1 cup crisco.
1 cup margarine.
1 cup white sugar.
1 cup powdered sugar.
2 eggs.
1 tsp baking soda.
1 tsp vanilla.
1 tsp cream of tartar.
4 cups flour.
Mix and chill for one hour. Roll out and cut with cutters. Roll into balls, roll in sugar, and flat with a glass bottom dipped in sugar. Bake at 375 and babysit the cookies; start them on the bottom rack (do everything on the bottom rack) and then move them to the top shelf just as they start to turn and when they're browning at the bottom, remove them from the oven and let cool.
Powdered Sugar Frosting
1 stick of margarine.
1 tsp vanilla.
1 ½+ cups powdered sugar.
“A little bit” of half n half.
Melt margarine just a little bit. Mix with vanilla and powdered sugar, which you may have to sift. Add half n half (or milk), beat by hand (do not use a mixer), and mix until you reach desired consistency and flavor.
-
Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup butter, softened.
¾ cup sugar.
¾ cup brown sugar.
2 eggs.
1 tsp salt.
1 tsp vanilla.
2 ½ cup flour.
1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in.
1 tbsp hot water.
1 pkg chocolate chips.
Mix ingredients. Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 375. No timer needed, you have to babysit the cookies until they’re done, just as you do with the sugar cookies.
-
Frosted Brownies
Brownies
1 stick margarine.
2 cups sugar.
5 eggs.
4 tbsp cocoa.
2 tsp vanilla.
1 cup flour.
½ cup chopped nuts (optional).
Cream butter and sugar. Adds eggs and cocoa, then the rest. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes in a 10x15in pan.
Side note: There is also an additional measurements for an 11x18 as follows: 1 ½ stick margarine, 3 cups sugar, 8 eggs, 6 tbsps cocoa, 3 tsps vanilla, 1 ½ cup flour, and ¾ cups chopped nuts.
Frosting
1 stick butter.
2 tbsp cocoa.
⅓ cup milk or cream.
1 cup sugar.
2 cups powdered sugar.
1 tsp vanilla.
Extra milk, if needed.
Melt butter in a saucepan, then add cocoa. Stir in milk & sugar. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat, then beat in sugar and vanilla.
Side note: The aforementioned 11x18in measurements for the frosting are: 1 ½ stick butter, 3 tbsps cocoa, ⅓ cup milk/cream, 1 ½ cup sugar, 3 cups powdered sugar, and 1 ½ tsp vanilla, with extra milk if needed.
-
Chocolate Fudge (from her Mom)
3 cups sugar.
1 envelope unflavored gelatine.
1 cup milk.
½ cup light corn syrup.
3 squares (3oz) unsweetened chocolate.
2 tsp vanilla.
1 ¼ cup butter or margarine.
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts.
Butter an 8x8x2in deep pan. In a 3 ½ qt pan, mix sugar with dry gelatin; add milk, corn syrup, chocolate and butter. Cook over med heat, stirring frequently to 238 degrees on candy thermometer or until a little in cold water forms a soft ball that flattens when removed from water. Remove from heat. Pour into a large mixing bowl. Stir in vanilla. Cool 25 minutes. Beat with wooden spoon until candy thickens. Stir in walnuts. Spread in prepared pan. Let cool, then cut into squares.
-
Chicken and Noodles
Cover one whole chicken in a large, heavy bottomed pot with water. Sprinkle in salt, pepper, chicken bouillon powder, onion flakes, a little bit of celery flakes and garlic salt to your hearts content. Bake until chicken is done (stick a fork into and if it slides out clean and easy, it’s done).
Remove chicken from the pot to a platter and cut up, then pull apart and shred the chicken.
In the meantime, dump in 2-3 cups of elbow noodles [probably more -- I think we use like 2 boxes at least]. Use 1 large can cream of chicken and add the meat. Stir together and enjoy.
-
Cheesy Chicken Rice
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts.
1 (10 ¾ oz) can Campbell’s cream of chicken soup.
1 ⅓ cups water.
1-2 cups Minute Maid white rice, uncooked.
2 small cans corn, drained.
2 small cans peas, drained.
2 small cans carrots, drained.
8 oz or more shredded fiesta blend cheese.
½ tsp onion powder
Stir soup, water, rice and veggies together in a 12x8 shallow baking dish. Season chicken as desired, and top the rice mix with the chicken. Cover the dish with aluminum foil. Bake at 375 for 40-45 minutes. Uncover, top with cheese and put back in the oven for about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
-
Banana Bread
3 ripe bananas, mashed.
1 cup sugar.
½ cup crisco.
2 eggs.
3 tbsp buttermilk.
2 cups flour.
1 tsp salt.
½ tsp baking soda.
½ tsp baking powder.
Nuts (optional).
Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
-
Biscuits (from her great-grandmother)
1 cup crisco.
1 ¼ cup buttermilk.
2 ½ cups self rising flour.
Put Crisco in mixing bowl, then add buttermilk and flour. Take a tablespoon and mix until it is mixed well. Pour out onto floured paper or board, and cut or roll dough over; pinch smaller pieces and roll in hands, put onto greased pans. Bake at 450-500 for 20-45 minutes.
-
Dinner rolls (from her great-aunt)
1 ½ cups boiling water.
½ cup sugar.
1 tsp salt.
¼ cup crisco.
1 egg
1 pkg active dry yeast or compressed yeast.
½ cup lukewarm water.
5-6 cups flour.
Pour boiling water over sugar, salt and crisco; stir until dissolved and cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in ½ cup of lukewarm water. Add yeast to above mixture, add egg, mix well. Add flour to make dough soft. Rub surface with crisco. Place in a bowl, cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to use (will keep for about 1 week). When ready, knead and punch down dough. Roll out on floured board until ½ thick and shape by hand. Brush with butter. Allow to raise double in bulk, about 1 hour. Bake at 425 for 20 minutes.
-
Lasagna (from her mother-in-law)
1 ½ lb ground beef, ground and drained.
1 lg can canned tomatoes, blended.
3 8 (oz) cans tomato sauce.
1 lg dry pkg McCormick spaghetti sauce.
½ tsp salt to taste.
2 8oz pkgs shredded mozzarella
Grated canned parmesan.
Mix together ground beef, blended tomatoes, sauces and salt together and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until thickened. Cook 8 lasagna noodles as directed on the package and rinse in cold water.
Put a thin layer of sauce in a glass 9×13in pan; then a layer of noodles, and on top of that, half of the remaining sauce. Sprinkle 1 pkg mozzarella, and a cup of parmesan over it. Add another layer of noodles, then layer the rest of the mozzarella, then parmesan and then finally the rest of the sauce on top of that. Bake at 350° for about an hour, until the cheese is bubbly. Serves best if you let it stand for 15 minutes.
-
Pancake Mix
2 eggs.
2 tbsp margarine, slightly melted.
2 cups buttermilk.
2 cups flour.
½ tsp baking soda.
1 tsp baking powder.
5 tbsp sugar.
½ tsp salt.
Mix until creamy, but batter may stay a little on the lumpy side.
-

½ tsp salt.
4 tbsp baking powder.
1 ¾ cups milk.
2 eggs, beaten until light.
½ cups melted shortening.
Mix together.
-
Deviled Eggs
1 tbsp vinegar.
1 ½ tbsp mayonnaise.
1 tbsp sugar.
½ tsp mustard.
12 boiled eggs.
Cut eggs in half length wise. Scoop and mash the yolks, then mix with the vinegar, mayo, sugar and mustard. Put in egg whites. Refrigerate.
-
Stuffing
4 skinless chicken breasts.
1 cup chicken broth.
1 can cream of chicken soup.
1 box chicken stuffing mix.
½ cup water.
Put chicken in a slow cooker, and pour broth over the chicken. Next, place the soup, stuffing and water into a bowl and mix. Put on top of chicken, cook on low for seven hours.
-
Banana Split Salad
1 can eagle brand milk.
18oz carton cool whip.
3 bananas, cut up.
1 can cherry pie filling.
1 can crushed pineapple (drained).
1 pkg nuts.
Mix milk and cool whip together until stiff. Add remaining ingredients by hand. Blend well. Chill.
-
Zucchini Bread
3 eggs.
2 cups sugar.
1 cup oil.
2 cups zucchini, ground.
3 cups flour.
1 tsp salt.
1 tsp baking soda.
¼ tsp baking powder.
3 tsps vanilla.
3 tsps cinnamon.
½ cup nuts.
Mix together first 4 ingredients, then add remaining. This will make about 2 pans. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
-
Raw Apple Cake
Cake
½ cup oil.
2 cups sugar.
2 eggs.
1 tsp vanilla.
3 cups apples, sliced.
1 cup raisins (optional)
1 cup chopped nuts.
1 tsp baking soda.
3 cups flour.
½ tsp salt.
1 tsp cinnamon.
In a large bowl, beat oil, sugar, and eggs until well beaten. Add remaining ingredients, and mix with spoon. Pour into a greased 9x13in pan, and bake at 350 for 50 minutes.
Butter Sauce
1 cup sugar.
2 tbsp corn starch.
½ cup butter.
1 cup milk.
1 tsp vanilla.
Cook over low heat until thickened. Add a few drops yellow food coloring. Serve on cake while warm.
-
Hamburger Spaghetti Casserole (from her mother in law)
Small pkg hamburger meat.
1 lb box of Great Value spaghetti.
Small can whole kernel corn.
Large can cream of chicken soup.
Pack of Kraft cheese slices (I personally use shredded fiesta blend cheese instead, I think it tastes so much better but that's what the recipe calls for)
Cook noodles, brown hamburger and drain corn, then add it to the meat. Drain noodles. Mix noodles, meat and corn in the pan and add the soup. Mix. Spread mixture into a casserole dish. Cover and bake at 350° for an hour, or 45 minutes if it's a glass dish. 10 minutes before the timer goes off, layer the top with cheese and place back into the oven without covering it again.
-
Potato Salad
1 dozen boiled eggs.
1 stick margarine, softened.
1 tbsp mustard.
6 tbsps dill pickle juice.
1 tbsp sugar.
10 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and chopped finely.
½ dill pickle, chopped fine (use grater).
¼ cup cream or milk.
1 cup mayonnaise.
Salt & pepper to taste.
Onion flakes (optional).
Boil eggs, cutting in half lengthwise. Put the egg whites in a large bowl and the yolks in a medium bowl. Mash the egg yolks with a fork. Add margarine, mustard, pickle juice and sugar to the yolks, stir well. Add mayo to the egg yolk mixture, then stir in the cream/milk and the dill pickle. Set mixture aside. Prepare potatoes, add to egg whites bowl. Pour mixture over potatoes and egg whites and stir together. Salt and pepper to taste.
-
Lefse (from her mother-in-law)
8 cups potatoes, mashed.
1 tbsp salt.
¼ cup margarine or butter.
½ cup rich cream (or half-n-half).
2 tbsps sugar.
1 ½ cups flour.
Cook 5 lbs potatoes (8 cups), keeping skins on and running through a potato ricer before mashing. You can clean the skin out of the ricer with a fork. Add in the salt, margarine, sugar and rich cream. Set aside to cool. Once cooled, work flour well into potato mix. Take a small mound of the mixture and roll it out on a pastry cloth until thin. Only take so much out or it will get sticky. Bake it on a lefse iron/griddle; brown lightly on both sides (not brown completely; it’ll be brown spots).

Their childhood home, part 1
You walk up to a two-story house in the Courtyard Lane area of Willow Creek. It looks a lot like other houses in the neighborhood. Not as nice as the ones in the Sage Estates area, or even Pendula View, but nicer than your modest little house in Foundry Cove. The lawn is meticulously groomed, and the heady scent from the Southern magnolia tree fills your nostrils. Many flowers line the walkway to the house, and you step onto a large, wraparound porch with wicker chairs, windchimes, and hanging baskets. You ring the doorbell, and are invited in, though no one is actually home right now. The "Take Your Dang Shoes Off!" sign (a tiny one, hidden behind opulent blue curtains) prompts you to take your shoes off. You take in the view of the living room. The floor is carpeted wall-to-wall, and the windows are covered with decadent blue curtains. There's a large TV, larger than you could hope to afford on your modest salary. On the coffee table, there's a large silk floral arrangement, though there are some real plants in the room as well. Nothing is out of place; all the magazines are in a holder by the couch. The walls are covered in portraits: wedding pictures, family portraits, pictures of two children, a boy and a girl (who seem to be twins), at various stages of development. Paintings, too. You get the feeling they were done by someone who lives here; they lack that "mass-produced" quality. And sculptures of eyes. The Eye of the Watcher. These people are Worshippers of the Watcher. There's a formal dining room with a table (to which more leaves can be added should more people need to be seated), and a large hutch containing high-end china- purely decorative, of course. There's also an area of the living room with a large baby-grand piano. More eyes, too. You walk into the kitchen. The walls are a buttery, cheery yellow color, and the cabinets are oak. The kitchen features nice granite countertops, and it smells like someone has been baking recently. Fake ivy and grape vines line the tops of the cabinets, and there are a few rooster sculptures. Whoever lives here is inspired by Tartosa, wishes they were there, and/or has Tartosan ancestry. The appliances are some of the best Simoleons can buy, and they have some small appliances, too: an espresso machine and a high-end mixer. A large bowl of fruit sits on the kitchen island. The fridge features artwork and A+ schoolwork done by the kids, and magnets with passages from the Watcherian Holy Book, and there's a family bulletin board. More eyes. Off in the corner is a small half-bath, and a laundry room. The kitchen opens up to the backyard. You'll check that out later. You head upstairs, more paintings, portraits, and eye sculptures following you. You enter a landing area/hallway, with a choice of several bedrooms. There's also a hall bath with a sailboat motif, likely used mainly by the children. You pick a bedroom at random. You enter a yellow room, with lots of sports trophies and posters. An eye can be seen over the bed, and there's a soccer ball on the dresser. At first, you assume that this bedroom belongs to the boy from the pictures downstairs, but on closer inspection, this room belongs to his sister. There are paintings done by her, as well as by her mother, and there's a musical jewelry box with a ballerina in it. A Victorian-style dollhouse is in one corner of the room, and in another corner is an antique-style toy box, pink, and decorated with teddy bears. There is a large teddy bear in the corner, too.

Julia Logan presents: Mirrors
Dreamy folk-pop
Press:
Sincere and warm, the dreamy folk-pop of Julia Logan finds her beauty in small moments of human longing—to connect, to love, to understand. With a voice at once both comforting and piercing she seems to be calling for simpler, slower, and more forgiving times in a world that seems to be careening out of order. Growing up on a small Swedish island outside of Stockholm, she got her start singing in a local church choir. After spending a few of her teenage years in southern California, where her mother’s from, she learned the guitar from a local hippie and started writing.
The music heard on Julia Logan’s debut album, Everly Foreverly, was made in close collaboration with First Aid Kit’s producer, Daniel Bengtson. Together with them in the studio, they brought in American drummer Kyle Crane (Kurt Vile, Daniel Lanois, Madison Cunningham), guitarist Peter Morén (Peter Bjorn and John), Sofia Kristensen (Majvi) on piano and backup vocals, and a featured duet-cover with Nina Persson (The Cardigans). The album received positive reviews by Swedish magazines (Gaffa, Nöjesguiden, Aftonbladet) as well as internationally (Shindig Magazine, Clash Magazine), and was nominated for Singer-Songwriter of the year at 2023 manifestgalan awards. During this time, she also opened for Courtney Marie Andrews, Neko Case, Madison Cunningham, and Sarah Klang.
instagram
Teaming up again with her producer and co-writer Daniel Bengtson, Julia’s sophomore album explores themes of personal fears and changes, isolation, loss, getting older, hope, and finding your place in the world. The album will be called “Faraway Nearby,” inspired by the painter Georgia O’keeffe. During the writing and recording process, Julia and Daniel took influences from Fleetwood Mac, Midlake, Joan Didion, Francoise Hardy, Bruce Springsteen, Lucio Battisti, Eve Babitz, and Nick Drake. Many of the songs were written on piano and acoustic guitar — owing to a sonic mood that evokes feelings of yearning melancholy and hope.
Producer and co-writer: @studiorymden Label: @dumontdumont Drums: @hovis Mixer: @simonnord Master: @hansolsson_ Photo and artwork: @olofgrind
"Mirrors came about when I was about to go on a month long trip. Daniel started playing the piano melody on an old synth and the melody and some words came about in a flow of consciousness. It was kind of an aha moment because we don’t have many upbeat songs. I think it opened us up to a sonic landscape we hadn’t explored before. The song deals with life’s frustrations and feeling stuck, but also about finding a beacon of light in the dark", Julia Logan.

Can I bribe anyone to vote for Gina by sharing her DELICIOUS cookie recipe that she FREELY shared with fans in the December 1964 issue of Good Housekeeping magazine? (I grew up on this cookie and I strongly recommend making multiple batches of them. Like 3-4 batches of 30 cookies each. Trust me on this.)
GINA LOLLOBRIGIDA'S CHRISTMAS WREATHS
½ cup soft butter or margarine
⅓ cup granulated sugar
1 egg, separated
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract*
¼ teaspoon almond extract
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup chopped, shelled pistachio nuts or tinted walnuts (see below)*
½ cup strawberry jam*
Make any time up to two weeks ahead:*
Start heating oven to 300° F.
With electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter until creamy. Beat in sugar, egg yolk, extracts, then flour, sifted with salt.
Form into balls, using about 1 teaspoon of dough for each.
Dip in slightly beaten egg white, then roll lightly in nuts.
Arrange cookies on greased cookie sheets. With fingertip, make a depression in the center of each.
Bake 25 minutes, then remove to wire rack and, while still warm, fill centers with jam.
Store tightly covered. Makes 36 cookies*.
To make tinted walnuts: Start heating oven to 300° F. Add 2 dashes green food color to 2 teaspoons warm water, then add ¾ cup chopped California walnuts and toss thoroughly. Spread on cookie sheet and bake 8 minutes. Makes ¾ cup.
*****
*NOTES! -- These are adaptations my family made over the years:
First, the nuts are very much optional, just tint the dough green instead (before adding flour for easier mixing) -- in fact, tint the dough green even if you do add the nuts for a more festive looking cookie! But note that without the nuts, the cookies are much tinier, so you want to make them a little bigger. Aim for 30 cookies per batch instead of 36, arranged on a standard size cookie sheet in rows of five across, six down. (If you're making 2 batches or more, divide your dough evenly into one large ball per batch, then divide each ball into 30 little balls which are as even in size as possible.) We always refrigerated our batch-sized dough balls (wrapped up in wax paper) for at least an hour before rolling them out, I think it made for easier, less sticky handling.
Second, if strawberry jam isn't your thing, you can substitute with any other flavor of jam or jelly. While of course a red colour will look the most Christmassy, I can confirm that grape jelly is delicious. Also, add the jelly/jam BEFORE baking.
Third, instead of using 1/4 tsp vanilla extract and 1/4 tsp almond extract, use all almond, 1/2 tsp of it. It gives the cookies a much more distinctive flavour.
Propaganda
Hedy Lamarr (Samson and Delilah, Ziegfeld Girl)—Look. I'm sure someone has already submitted Hedy Lamarr because she was spectacularly beautiful, and a very strong lady too: she fled both an abusive marriage AND nazi persecution at a very young age and rebuilt a life for herself pursuing her love for acting all on her own!! Her career as an actress was stellar; while she began acting outside of Hollywood (her very first movie, Ecstasy, won a prize at the Venice Film Festival), she conquered American hearts very quickly with her first movie in the US, Algiers, and then just kept getting better and better. If all this isn't enough, she was also an inventor: her invention of the frequency-hopping spread spectrum radio transmission technique forms the base of bluetooth and has a lot of applications in all kinds of communication technologies. I think that deserves a prize, don't you?
Gina Lollobrigida (Solomon and Sheba, The Hunchback of Notre Dame)— One of the highest profile movie stars in Europe across the 50s and 60s. International sex symbol. Starring in European and American movies. She appeared in movies alongside Hollywood stars such as Humphrey Bogart and Rock Hudson. Was in 54 movies by 1970. A MOVIE STAR in every essence. Has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Won three David di Donatello, a Golden Globe two Nastro d'Argento, and six Bambi awards. And nominated for more.
This is round 4 of the tournament. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage woman.
[additional propaganda submitted under the cut.]
Hedy Lamarr:
The only person you can find both on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and in the Inventor's Hall of Fame--her radio-frequency-hopping technology forms the basis for cordless phones, wi-fi, and a dozen other aspects of modern life. She was also passionate in her efforts to aid the Allies in WWII (unsurprising for a Jewish-Austrian Emigree to America), and her name served as the backbone for one of the best running jokes in what is possibly Mel Brooks' best movie. Look, Louis B. Mayer apparently believed he could plausibly promote her as "The world's most beautiful woman". Is an entire website full of people going to be less audacious than one Louis B. Mayer? I didn't think so!
Described as "Hedy has the most incredible personal sophistication. She knows the peculiarly European art of being womanly; she knows what men want in a beautiful woman, what attracts them, and she forces herself to be these things. She has magnetism with warmth, something that neither Dietrich nor Garbo has managed to achieve" by Howard Sharpe, she managed to escape her controlling husband (and Nazi Germany) by a) Disguising as her maid and fleeing to Paris or b) Convincing the husband to let her wear all of her jewelry to a dinner, only to disappear afterwards. Also she was particularly clever and helped develop Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum (I can't really explain it but anyway...)
Her depiction of Delilah and Samson and Delilah just lives rent free in my head. The woman was gorgeous.
One of the most beautiful women ever in film, spoken by many critics and fans. Beautiful shapely figure, deeper seductive voice, and often played femme fatale roles. She was also brilliant and an inventor. Mainly self-taught, she invested her spare time, including on set between takes, in designing and drafting inventions, which included an improved traffic stoplight and a tablet that would dissolve in water to create a flavored carbonated drink, and much more.
Gorgeous and brilliant pioneer of modern technology and the middle part.
Gina Lollobrigida:
She was an international sex symbol once dubbed as The Most Beautiful Woman In The World. She acted in films in both Italy and France before starring in Beat The Devil with Humphrey Bogart. When portraying soprano Lina Cavalieri, she sang all of the songs in her own voice. This role won her the very first David di Donatello Award for Best Actress, Italy's academy awards.
She was one of the highest-profile European actresses of the 1950s and 1960s, a period in which she was an international sex symbol. Humphrey Bogart once said of her: "She makes Marilyn Monroe look like Shirley Temple."
Literally starred in a movie called "The Most Beautiful Woman in the World". I rest my case.

@whitelace label holiday mixers where the best and worst parties. on the one hand, you had the chance to meet fellow rockers you've admired along side your face in the magazines. corroded coffin opened for a couple of the shared label musicians, so not all attendees caused the members to be starstruck. the worst part was the inevitable business sprinkled in by producers and reps for the upcoming year's line up. it was never enough your band topped at NO. 6 worldwide. you had to land such and such cover to nail a different demo and pump up ticket sales. you had to team up with such and such hot new producer to evolve your sound, keep with the ever changing times.
ed managed to escape the leeches by the skin of his teeth and retreat to the open balcony overlooking the twinkle lights of the city. the only signs of the season's merriment was the awful rock covers of classic tunes at his back meeting the icy chill of a winter's breeze tickling his nose. bringing a whiskey sour to his lips, he gulped it down. a grin curled over his mouth in such a way to remind himself of a familiar green holiday figure. " do you think they know that christmas doesn't come from a store? that christmas perhaps means a little bit more ..." hand to his chest, he mimed the growing of the grinch's heart three sizes.

percy repeatedly asking annabeth to marry him, even after they’re married
annabeth glaring down at her textbook in college, bags deeper and darker than the mariana trench, hair in a rats nest haphazardly pulled back in a bun that is gonna be infuriating to undo and she will resort to just cutting the tie:
percy, laying in bed next to the desk she’s working at, lovestruck, heart eyes, blushing, giggling, kicking his feet: marry me rn
annabeth covered in flour and sugar bc she set the mixer on too high a setting while making cookies with percy in their kitchen at three am bc they couldn’t sleep, bent over hysterically cackling, tears pooling in her eyes:
percy, covered in flour and sugar, lovestruck, heart eyes, laughing almost louder than her, blushing, mentally flipping through his ideas of rings to find the perfect one to propose to her with: holy shit…marry me
annabeth sat on the couch in percy’s shirt and her own blue shorts, coffee in hand, magazine in lap, flipping through for ideas for their wedding, serene, peaceful even:
percy, attempting to make breakfast but keeps getting distracted by his absolutely stunningly beautiful fiancé (fiancé), definitely burning the pancakes, egg in hand that was ready to be cracked into the pan but instead was squeezed too hard and egg yolk began running down his arm: holy shit you gotta marry me rn if u don’t i’m just gonna stop breathing until you say yes
annabeth sat at a table drinking a glass of champagne, makeup completely ruined from dancing so much she began to sweat and from crying tears of joy, hair still somehow done up in the beautiful style sally had done three hours ago, wedding dress sparkling under the lights, wide smile on her face and hand in percy’s:
percy, breathless, still not completely processing what just happened, heart beating so fast he’s not sure if it’s beating at all anymore, unable to tear his gaze away from his wife’s (WIFE’S) achingly gorgeous profile, rubbing his thumb across the back of her palm, rubbing his ring against hers to feel the clink of the bands: marry me, beth
annabeth sat up in bed reading a book under the light of the lamp of the nightstand, one hand running through percy’s hair, occasionally coming down to rub his neck, hair falling down her shoulders and back in beautiful princess curls, gaze distant as her mind is in a whole other world:
percy, laying down next to her, staring up at her as if she was his god (which technically she is, the way he worships the ground she walks on and would do anything for her, sacrifice anything to ensure her happiness and safety), arms wrapped around her hips, finger drawing invisible images into her thigh, whispers so soft that he can barely hear it yet somehow she does: marry me
annabeth rambling on and on about her new hyperfixation and infodumping on percy over lunch which happened to be a picnic in the park, ring reflecting the sunlight multiple times into percy’s eyes during her rant, hair flying in all directions somehow regardless of the light breeze, a bit of mayo on her chin from her sandwich:
percy, unable to look away or even blink despite being blinded multiple times by her ring, pretty sure a couple of squirrels ran off with his sandwich like ten minutes ago, not retaining anything she’s saying but burning the resonance of her voice and the sparkle in her eyes into his memory: i have a ring, i’m proposing, marry me right fucking now holy shit
#percy jackson#annabeth chase#percabeth#pjo#percy jackson and the olympians#hoo#heros of olympus#headcanon#head canon#fanfic#fanfiction#hc#FUCK#before they were engaged she would just laugh and tell him to ask her properly#when they got engaged she’d just show him her ring and go#‘i already said yes’#and after they’re married she just plays along with it#says yes as if it’s his first time asking#:(

Pairing: Minseok x Reader Genre: CEO AU, Office AU, Suggestive, Angst Rating: T Summary: You run out on him only to end up in his office that same day. Word Count: 1.1k ✊🏾😔 another failed drabble Warnings: implied smut, office relations
Inspired by this post.
It wasn’t often you fucked up this badly. Office mixers tend to end up at a bar with someone table dancing. It was the life of magazine writers. Drink, wake up hungover, drag your ass to work, then do it all over again. But this time was different. This time you woke up naked in a hotel room.
You listened to the shower going with mild panic, unable to remember who you slept with the night before. One-night stands weren’t your thing, so what the fuck, past self? You took inventory of your body. There was a pleasant soreness from your core and thighs, as well as a twinge of pain from the side of your neck. No doubt you had love bites to cover up. Shit, fuck, shit.
Should you let him know you’re awake? All thoughts stopped cold when you caught the red LED of the clock on the nightstand. You were supposed to be at work thirty minutes ago! You flung yourself out of bed, tripping in the sheets as you fumbled to toss on your clothes and shoes. Ideally, you’d thank your lover for a wonderful night, but Giselle was waiting. Every second was precious and vital to keeping your damn job. With a wince of regret, you snuck out of the room and sprinted away.
Minseok heard the door close and stuck his head out of the shower. Surely, he was hearing things. Maybe he’d forgotten to put the do not disturb sign on the door and a maid had peeked in. He shrugged it off and finished washing his body, lamenting the loss of your sweet scent on his skin but taking comfort that if breakfast went well, he’d get it back and then some. Last night had been a wonder to him, an eye-opening soul-searching experience he wouldn’t forget anytime soon, if ever. The way you’d rode him hard and moaned his name so sweetly had his spine tingling just from the memories. He didn’t believe in love at first sight, especially with drinks involved, but he was sure he’d come pretty damn close. There were no words to describe how he felt realizing you were what he was missing in life. A smart, funny woman who didn’t care for who he was or how much money he had in the bank.
“Hey, wanna go get—” He poked his head out of the bathroom and stopped. The sheets were halfway off the bed. Your clothes and purse were gone. For a few minutes, he was confused. Why weren’t you in bed? Where was your stuff? He stepped out into the room and checked the corners. You were truly gone. What the hell? Minseok was no stranger to one-night stands, but he’d done everything to make it clear his time with you wasn’t that. He had every intention of seeing you again and again. But clearly, you didn’t. And of course, he didn’t get your number since he’d been so confident there’d be plenty of time for that.
Biting the inside of his cheek, Minseok went about getting dressed. He had a magazine interview shortly after lunch and could kill time before it at the office. Though he hated to do it, he pushed you to the back of his mind. No sense in dwelling over mistakes. The show must go on.
“Mr. Kim is on his way.” The secretary smiled as she led the way to the CEO’s office. “He’s asked to have you wait in his office.”
“That’s fine.” You went through your purse making sure you had everything you needed. Notepad? Check. Pen? Check. Breath mints? Double-check. She opened the door and stepped aside for you. Mr. Kim’s office was bigger than you expected, but then what else would the son of a hotel mogul have? Everything looked so expensive, so far out of your price range. It made you feel out of place. But that didn’t matter. You weren’t here to cry over the class gap. You were here to write a story. Just when you were about to take a seat, the door opened behind you. You straightened up and turned around, only to be met with a vaguely familiar face.
Minseok couldn’t believe his eyes, or his luck. It’s a small world, after all. The two of you stood there in silence before he quietly shut the door behind him. He watched you carefully, waiting to see horror or guilt on your pretty little face, but it never came. Instead, you put on your best professional smile.
“Good afternoon, Mr. Kim. It’s great to finally meet you.”
“Finally?” He scoffed then bit the inside of his cheek, walking around his desk to his chair while pointedly ignoring your outstretched hand. “I get it. You’re working, so we must remain professional, huh?”
“I—” You didn’t understand his attitude but retracted your hand and took a seat. This wasn’t anything like the reports you’d heard. Kim Minseok was supposed to be an angel, an absolute gentleman. The prickly man across from you had so far been anything but. “You must be having a rough day. How about we just skip to the questions and I’ll be on my way?”
Minseok just barely kept his face straight. Now you wanted to skip the small talk and get out of there? He couldn’t stop the words from coming out. “Do you handle everything in life like this? Just in and out, go-go-go? Or is it just with me?”
You eyed him carefully. “I’m…sorry? I don’t believe I’ve met you before now.”
“Oh, really? So I guess I slept with another woman who happens to look and sound just like you?” He leaned forward and rested his elbows on the desk. “You did a great job covering up the marks I left on your neck. But what about the ones on your thighs, hm?”
Your face chilled as the color drained from your face. Now you knew why his voice sounded familiar. The hotel you left this morning was from the Kim chain. The room did look ridiculously luxurious. How in the world did you end up in bed with a fucking hotel mogul?
Minseok’s grin grew with each passing second as the situation became clearer to you both. He was delighted to know that you genuinely didn’t know who he was when you slept with him. Even if you’d only considered him another body, you weren’t after his fortune or assets. He could work with that. After all, there are no accidents. He lowered his voice to a whisper when he asked, “Will you tell me why you left without saying goodbye?”
You bit your lip as your cheeks flushed. “I-I was late to work. My boss is very strict with tardiness and I had to prep for this interview. If I had known…”
“Hm. Well, lucky for us, we have a second chance.” He propped his chin up with his hand. “So, how about I order lunch and we start over?”
