Cinderella’s Castle one-shot props! I had a lot less time to put this together, but it was based on Snow White so I got an apple, a bodice with lace, and a comb. They also fought a dragon, because dragons are cool. The magic mirror was also there. The maps are based on the layout of the Hurstmonceux Castle.
Players:
Ella: Divine Soul Sorcerer Human
Tadius: Eloquence Bard Human
Lord Hop-A-Lot Oath of Ancients Paladin 4/Battle Master Fighter 12 Custom Lineage
Briar Grizzwald: Glomstalker Ranger Half Wood Elf
Crumb couldn’t make it unfortunately. :(
New rule: Every players has 1 Ragweed Token that can be used to change one dice roll. Players need to tap the wood block to activate it.
Everyone did closet cosplays! Ella had a green skirt and general fantasy look. Briar had a dagger. Hop-A-Lot had a green shirt with a chest plate and cape. Tadius had a black shirt and some red fabric over his arm. I wore part of my Narrator cosplay. It’s not finished yet I’ll post photos when it is.
Ella and Tadius are out ruling the castle. Lord Hop-A-Lot was in the Swamp waiting for his mansion to be built. The bastard brother has heard news of his sisters’ deaths and was traveling to learn more. On his way, he found the apple that the Prince had thrown, which had made it all the way to the Swamp. It was poisoned. At the castle, there was a mysterious reflection in the floor which told them about the Castle That Was which was being attacked by a dragon. Ella had a mirror and used it to speak with the reflection easier. It’s name was Amir the Mirror and it was cursed to rhyme which it really hated. Crumb stayed behind the keep everything in order (and because the dragon terrified him). To get to the Castle, first they needed to cross the Unreachable Peaks, for which they needed the help of the Six Dwarves. (Their father had mysteriously vanished many years ago) Tadius was able to convince the dwarves to help them and get better at communication. The Dwarves helped the party through the mountains and led them to the castle, which was under siege. The castle belonged to the Goblin Queen, who had failed to gather enough forces to help her. The goblins were losing badly. Tadius cast message to speak to the dragon whose name was Ebony Wood. She had been cursed by an old hag by three magic items and was turned into a dragon. Sir Hop-A-Lot was still very bloodthirsty and wanted to kill a dragon. The party tracked the castle searching for the Goblin Queen. There found her bedroom, which had a map of the Lands That Are and a list of the fiercest people in all the realm. Many of these people had been visited by an old hag who cursed them and took their power. The party found the Queen in a room, planning strategies against the dragon. As soon as she was identified, Tadius cast guiding bolt. Sir Hop-A-Lot initially failed to restrain the Queen, but used a Ragweed token to change that and captured here with the Fairy Queen’s arms. With her on the ground, the battle was easy. As they all stomped her to death, it was decided that Ella, who has glass leg prosthetics, no longer had toes. It’s just the glass slippers, nothing else. With the Queen defeated, their attention turned to the dragon. The creature had an object stuck in its throat, a comb stabbed in its head, and rope tied around its chest. Tadius 8th level dispelled magic on the rope, Ella took out the throat with scorching ray, freeing an apple. Tadius used It’s fire breathe did a lot of damage. Sir Hop-A-Lot jumped and then misty stepped to get onto the back of the dragon. Tadius dimensioned doored himself and Ella to the dragon as well. Tadius tried to remove the comb and used a Ragweed token to succeed. With all the items removed, the dragon turned back into Ebony and everyone fell to the ground. After healing everyone up, Ebony introduced herself. She was a Dragonborn with scales as black as ebony wood, eyes as red as blood and teeth as white as snow. She had been adopted by the dwarves when she was young. Without a Queen, the goblins had no where to go. Hop-A-Lot offered them to come and work for the crown. They unionized and taught him what that meant. The party brought Ebony back home, took gold and treasure to the castle, and all the workers learned about unions. Now with confidence, the masons told Sir Hop-A-Lot that building a house in the middle of a swamp does not work. So now he had a goal to create a floating mansion.
Overall I had fun! I had a day and half to write this one shot and then GMes it while jet lagged, so it was a little rough around the edges, but everything went well!

Planar Tour Guide: The First World part 2
Tumblr media
(art by davvworlds on DeviantArt)
Geography
Like I said yesterday, The First World is ever-changing, with only the will of especially powerful fey keeping any area stable in a decently permanent fashion. While it is true that a particular biome could last decades on it’s own, every part of the plane is subject to the potential of great waves of change rushing over everything, turning forests to deserts, mountains to oceans, and the familiar into the utterly unfamiliar. Remember that this plane contains every concept dreamed up by the gods before the final creation was made, so impossible physics, magical laws, and the like are all possible. You might see floating islands, or colossal trees with continent-spanning branches, strange places where all that is naturally tiny is massive, and so on. You might even see strange playtime lands where massive cards and dice are overgrown with plant life like the stones of a long-dead city, and the like.
So with all these constant changes, it can be difficult to try and make broad statements about this vast realm. As such, instead we’ll focus on listing the semi-permenant realms ruled over by Eldest and other powerful fey with the wills to keep their personal domains stable.
One of the biggest cities on the plane is Anophaeus, the so-called First City on account of having existed supposedly even before Axis. The city is the divine domain of Imbrex, the fey eldest resembling colossal twin statues, while the city sprouts up around, over, and even up the feet and legs of the immobile divinity. There, First World gnomes and other fey trade in many wondrous things and try to interpret the telepathic dreams of their patron.
As the name suggests, the Crumbling Tower is a partially ruined edifice that serves as the home of the Lost Prince, the Eldest of melancholy and lonliness. It is inhabited by him and his followers, who work constantly to shore up the construction of the tower even as it’s top floors continue to crumble and fall. Though hardly an appealing place for most, the Lost Prince’s library, the Helix, is one of the best in the First World.
Meanwhile, in a misty forest where mirror-like pools abound, the Forest Pools is the realm of Magdh and her norns, all of which quietly watch the future and see all possibilities for both the First World and the entirety of the cosmos.
Cast in perpetual twilight by the canopy of the Silkwood and suspended on cords of spider silk, the Hanging Bower is the home of the Green Mother, the eldest of the predatory allure of nature. It is a place of sensual revelry where companionship and intoxicants are at their most varied. It is also, however, a place of politics and intrigue, with many a deal conducted in a seedy pleasure den. Just be careful if you catch the attention of the Green Mother herself. While she has her own desires and intrigues, not all survive her attention.
Rising high atop a mountain and constantly shifting between different eras of it’s own construction, the House of Eternity is home to Shyka the Many, the eldest of time. Shyka’s library the most comprehensive that most beings could ever hope to find, supposedly having a copy of every book that has or ever will be written. Of course, Shyka is likely to demand a price, usually some unique artifact, in exchange to taking a peek.
Ruined and sunk to the bottom of the deepest trench of the Cerulean Sea, Karaphas the Drowned is home to the father of linnorms, the eldest Ragadahn. Few are allowed to enter, but ramshackle cities spring up along the outskirts populated by those seeking the favor of their ruler.
Count Ranalc is long gone, but his domain Nighthold remains, though not unchanged, with the Bleeding Mount volcano raining ash and fire on the ruins of his acropolis. Shadows and wicked fey rule, held back by a fence of magical lanterns. According to legend, if someone can make it to and sit on the throne of the realm, they will become it’s ruler, though no one has survived the attempt thus far.
An onion-domed compound with inward-curved walls, the Palace of Seasons lies in the middle of a desert, and is watched over by the eldest Ng. Within it’s empty halls one can find many secrets, including specimens of exotic seasons that were tested, but never implemented on any world of the Material Plane. Though regarded by most as his home, Ng claims that he is actually watching over the realm for another eldest.
Finally, the Witchmarket, is an oddity among permanent fey realms in that it is much more mobile than they are, a roving caravan of fey merchants that travel not just around the First World, but also onto the Material Plane, though it is clear to those who enter that they are not quite within the familiar world while among it’s wagons and tents. It is said anything can be found there, but the merchants do not truck in coin, instead accepting payment in often-dangerous services, new magic, and seemingly impossible and ephemeral things.
Additionally, there are a few things one must also note about the First World beyond the tricks of fey and the ever-shifting landscape. The first is that magic is wild and unstable. In many places, it is traditionally wild, but in others, it simply becomes unpredictable, forcing casters to focus their will to make sure the spell happens as intended, though some of these effects are beneficial.
The other thing to remember is that just as parts of the First World are stabilized by the will of the Eldest, so too is the rest of the plane affected by the will of those within. Though difficult, it is possible to create temporary changes to the environment by focusing on it, though exactly the extent of how much can be changed depends on the power of the one doing the altering. These can range from reshaping a wood thicket to allow a path through to cleaving out a temporary demiplane from the First World, which appears to outsiders to be a fenced-off realm within the plane that none without strong magic can penetrate or peer into.
That will do for today, but as we can see, the First World is capable of cities and structure, but the fact it is made up of everything that is or might have been part of the Material Plane makes it a place of abundance and wild chaos, of infinite generation and renewal as all ideas are constantly changed and remixed with each other. Look forward to tomorrow when we talk about the creatures that live there!

The Endless siblings' (and Hob's) DND characters
Disclaimer: I only used stuff from the PHB (5E) to make things easier for everyone, including myself.
Destiny
Race: Half-Orc
Class: Monk (Way of the Open Hand)
Background: Acolyte
Wanted to be a monk so he can reason that his entire body is a weapon and therefore can't be allowed in fancy gatherings.
Wants to have a low INT character because he's tired of knowing everything IRL.
Likes stealing things and gets away with it thanks to his high DEX score.
Carries Death and Delirium's characters on his shoulders when the party has to flee. (Destruction can fend for himself.)
Death
Race: Rock Gnome
Class: Cleric (Life Domain)
Background: Sailor
Nobody dies on her watch. Don't fight her on this. She will win.
Helps everyone, even villains.
Loves shopping episodes.
Dream and Hob's characters' #1 shipper.
Dream
Race: High Elf (or Drow--check with the DM first)
Class: Bard (College of Lore)
Background: Noble
His character is literally the antithesis of what a bard is usually portrayed as.
Wears only black, grey, or white clothes and loves to play melancholic music. Flirting? He doesn't know her. (Desire once called him a College of Eral bard because he took the fun out of funeral.)
Wanted to have a sad ending for his character in the beginning but changed his mind after Hob made him feel so loved that he chose to live happily with him instead. (in-game and in real life.)
The looks like he could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll. Donates 10% of his earnings to schools and orphanages and thus is well-loved by good NPCs of the realm.
Destruction
Race: Mountain Dwarf
Class: Barbarian (Path of the Berserker)
Background: Outlander
Tries his best not to be a murderhobo.
Sings Misty Mountains every short/long rest. He's actually more of a traditional bard than Dream is, and he's also proficient in a musical instrument thanks to his background.
Likes drawing (stick figure) fanart of the party.
Describes his character as having the most magnificent beard.
Desire
Race: Tiefling
Class: Sorcerer (Draconic Bloodline)
Background: Charlatan
Tried to seduce Hob's character once and it almost resulted in a PVP with Dream.
Calls the big bad 'mommy/daddy.'
Successfully fucked a genasi who was the big bad's right hand and in doing so saves the day.
They ended up married to him and they have adorable little tiefling-genasi children together.
Despair
Race: Green Dragonborn
Class: Paladin (Oath of Vengeance)
Background: Urchin
Amazing at roleplaying.
Likes having the tallest character.
The party's leader via unanimous decision.
Likes to haggle during shopping episodes.
(Note: The twins' characters are siblings. They have literally planned their characters to both have wings that matched the other's race.
Desire's tiefling will have dragon wings at level 14. Despair's dragonborn will have wings at level 20 and she's gonna describe them as bat-like and demonic in appearance.)
Delirium
Race: Lightfoot Halfling
Class: Druid (Circle of the Moon)
Background: Hermit
Just wants to turn into all the animals and talk to plants!
Druidcrafts flower crowns every day for everyone (Dream and Hob get matching ones)
Likes to be the party's weather forecaster.
Hoards all the dice.
Hob
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Rogue (Assassin)
Background: Soldier
Here to romance Dream's character. That's pretty much it.
Will do anything for Dream, including giving him all his gold. Literally the simpiest simp to ever walk the earth.
During character creation, when Dream says he's gonna be an elf, Hob immediately called dibs on being a half-elf. (They gotta be anatomically compatible, okay? For reasons.)
The sunshine of the party along with Delirium. That is, until Dream gets hurt. And then no one is safe from his wrath. He's the looks like a cinnamon roll but could actually kill you. Do not fuck with him (or Dream). He has the power of god and anime on his side.

Tabletop Tuesday: Let's Talk About Dice!
Today for Tabletop Tuesday we're talking about one of the cornerstones of gaming: dice! Featuring Chessex, Everything Dice, FanRoll, Dispel Dice, PolyHero, Critical Role, Dice Envy, and Misty Mountain Gaming. We're showing off our dice!
Hey all, Sam and David here. Today is going to be a delightful and chaotic post. What a way to end the month of February. Dice are a staple in a large number of tabletop games, and we have each amassed quite a collection. So I thought it would be fun to talk about some of our favorite sets of dice and the companies that make them for this week’s post. And I’m going to go ahead and let David go…

DICE PICS Big 'ol "click for more" section as it's loaded with pictures.
Sets from Dispel Dice, they had a snazzy booth and I pulled these 2 from a mystery bag. Both are resin sets, big fan. By far the most varied style and I'm all for it. Cheap too, for being from Dispel and looking so nice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Two sets from the Mox room which had a special set of, again, resin cast die along with a cheap plastic pair to throw in the mix too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A beautiful set of glass from Levelup Dice, though a little expensive in hindsight. The after-purchase retrospect made me realize they aren't even inked but the inner glow looks insanely nice. Again though, I'm lamenting the price a bit. I knew it'd be rough when they didn't have price tags on the display sets and you had to ask.
Tumblr media
Two more resin sets from Misty Mountains, which i also got this killer die box from. Great booth, got a bag there too
Tumblr media
And finally, another glass set from Norse Foundry which is simply stunning. Paired with a box from Elderwood Academy. My only 'ehh' was the foam protector for the dice is only on one side of this cute little book-shaped holder, but nothing some scissors and double sided tape can't fix.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
got back from pax unplugged 2023 oughhh con crash is real holy ship, I mean I knew con crud was a thing (got it 100%, mr low white bloodcell count) but I feel so exhausted and Over the day-to-day mundane. I woulda took a few days off class but finals next week means I gotta pedal to the metal. ANYWAY ART MAYBE NEXT WEEK, RESUMPTION OF THE HORO-MSPA PROBABLY Also had BURN PYGMALION!!! A Better Guide to Romance on repeat while flying because it's the only music I had downloaded. So good
I'll post con haul pics later too, maybe. I spent an embarrassing amount on dice.
