Brightstar AU - The Rest of The Skyclan Affair, Eventual Revenge Accomplished, and The Death of My Writer’s Block

-Kicks your door down, throws a pile of papers into the room, then gently closes the door. You hear a thump, and open your door to find me unconscious, covered in papercuts-

I am back, I’m sorry it took so long but life gets in the way…but not today! I’m going to power through this Arc, then take a Cat Writing Break so I can draw my backlog of Hypokits. Anyway here we goooooooooo!

Between the last part and now, Thunderclan and Shadowclan have a tentative truce, Rowanstar still wanting to be important to the story! Mistlenose and Alderpaw have grown even closer, and Goldenheart and Dovewing have started planning a future family.

Echosong has a weird dream about leaves? Really Starclan? Flamewish has Words with Yellowfang about it, and the two discuss what will happen in the future. Both bemoan having to be even a little cryptic, and Longstar and Fireheart drop in, breaking up the conversation.

Meanwhile, Mistlenose and Alderpaw train with the other apprentices; Alderpaw manages to knock his sister for a loop, and practice breaks up on a high note. Shrewleg tells his son how proud his uncle Spiderleg would be, looking down from Starclan. Twigkit and Violetkit are ejected from the medicine den by Lionblossom, who wonders if one might be a future healer.

Rowanstar and Embertail visit, talking about Littlecloud’s failing health. Darkmoon offers to visit, and Alderpaw takes a red feather from the Skyclan kits to give to Needlepaw. When they visit, an eager Puddlekit offers to help the medicine cats gather moss, declaring he’s going to be Embertail’s apprentice. Needlepaw and Alderpaw talk, and he promises to ask Brightstar if she can visit the kits and Pebbleshine. Needlepaw slips the feather into her nest. Canon continues until…

Windclan sends Heathertail to ask for help - Rogues!! Brightstar and a patrol race out, with Mistlenose fuming. The second the Windclan battle comes into view, Mistfeather screams in fury - it’s THEM!! Furzepelt, the former dark forest trainee, lies dead under Rain’s feet, and Mudstar is staggering, but Thunderclan drives them off. The injured are treated, and Alderpaw has a panic attack, his family curled around him. Mistlenose identifies Rain, and notes with cruel satisfaction that Snowthorn took his eye. Twigkit and Violetkit try to help the medicine den by getting supplies, and have to be rescued by Sparkpaw and Alderpaw. This spurs Brightstar to set up their assessments. Canon continues until…

Needlepaw gets caught sneaking out, and gets grounded. When Alderpaw gets turned away, Violetkit gets upset. She is guided away by a mysterious old grey molly, who apologises for what she’s going to go through, but she needs to be there. She is found by Sleekpaw, and the small group of apprentices and one confused kit head to the rogues. Thunderclan loses their collective minds, until Flamewish pops up, swearing to Pebbleshine that she and Yellowfang will be with her the whole time, and that Violetkit is going to be instrumental in saving the Clans, and restoring Skyclan. There are grumbles, and Twigkit is distraught, but everyone trusts Flamewish, even if they don’t fully understand WHY. Canon continues until…

Rain declares that the ill cats should be starved and Violetkit nopes out, with Needlepaw covering her exit. Rowanstar is relieved that she’s alright, and ecstatic when she askes to join Shadowclan, at Yellowfang’s urging. A message is sent to Pebbleshine, and the family has a quick reunion. Twigpaw tells Violetpaw about Ivyleaf being a great mentor, and Dawnpelt promises Pebbleshine that she’ll treat Violetpaw like her own kin. Canon continues until…

Mudstar gives the patrol access to the lungwort because he’s not terrible, but urges them to remember this kindness in the future. Some cats still die, and Rowanstar is seen as weak. When the rogues attack, Needletail convinces Rain to let Rowanstar, Goldenheart, and Tawnypelt go, with Dawnpelt refusing to leave. Alderpaw is officially named, choosing to honor his mentor as Aldernose. Back at the rogue camp, Needletail dreams of meeting a tom named Tree.

Aldernose has a vision of Skyclan, and has a freakout; Brightstar insists on hearing about the dream as they prepare for battle. The clans go after the Kin, but Sleekwhisker stops their sneak attack. Violetpaw tackles Twigpaw, whispering to play along - the two fake tussle until Twigpaw gets her leg twisted on accident. The clans retreat, and Sandstorm and Ashfur realize that Ferncloud and Dustpelt are missing; the two are found side by side, killed in the fight. The mourning is visceral, and Cloudtail is devastated to have lost someone else he considered family.

At the gathering, the clans squabble over what could have happened. Aldernose and Sparkpelt figure out that they should find Skyclan, but a cloud disrupts the meeting. As soon as they get back, the siblings talk to Brightstar, and she goes with a patrol to inform her fellow leaders. In the Kin Camp, a tom named Murk tries to kill Rain but fails, and is killed. Violetpaw is horrified, and Yellowfang and Flamewish comfort her in her dreams. Canon continues until…

Aldernose has another vision, and figures out that Skyclan is close, and talks to Pebbleshine. She identifies Hawkwing, and Twigpaw is excited to hear her father is close. Brightstar calls for them to wait a bit, as they have new kits and enemies to battle, and Pebbleshine quietly agrees. The next morning, Twigpaw is missing. Purdy, who hasn’t been feeling well, helps the search. Meanwhile, Dawnpelt is nearly killed by Sleekwhisker, but manages to play dead. Canon continues until…

Riverclan is defeated, and Darkmoon and Aldernose get the herb stores together. Needletail quietly apologises to Aldernose, and slips the red feather back to him as a promise to get Violetpaw out. Meanwhile, Dawnpelt sneaks into Thunderclan, crippled but alive, and apologizing for leaving Violetpaw behind. Canon continues until…

Twigpaw escapes from the vet, and follows the sunset. She is brought to the temporary camp by a gray tom named Shimmerstep, and introduces herself to Leafstar. Hawkwing and everyone else lose it hearing that Pebbleshine and Mistfeather are alive, and prepare to move out. Canon continues until…

Thunderclan and the reunited Shadowclan return to Thunderclan camp. Violetpaw leans against her mother, grieving for Needletail. Suddenly, Twigpaw’s voice rings out. Pebbleshine, Twigpaw, Mistfeather, and Aldernose burst into camp - and Pebbleshine locks eyes with Hawkwing. She screams in joy, he throws himself forward, and Mistfeather hollers out a fervent greeting. Skyclan descends on their missing members like a tidal wave, laughing and crying and cheering. Sandstorm greets Leafstar, and introduces Brightstar.

At the Moonpool, Longstar greets the medicine cats, and tells them to remember their names, and what they mean. They figure it out, and the battle begins.

As the fight rages on, Rain sees that he is Losing, and turns to flee. Mistfeather blocks his path, rage in his eyes. The two wrestle towards the lake, but Rain is winning. And then a blur of dark brown. Purdy, feeling his heart failing, hearing his old friend Mousefur calling him, bolted out of camp. He was a fighter once, and by Starclan he will NOT go out quietly! His blow knocks all of them into the lake, and the pair of old warriors drag the monster under. Cats wail, and the Kin flee. The battle is won, the dead are mourned (among the dead is Whitestorm, unwilling to stay in the elder’s den), and Violetpaw and Twigpaw wonder where they will end up - Thunderclan? Skyclan? Shadowclan?

Somewhere nearby, Tree is visited by the ghost of Needletail, and he comforts her as she grieves for her lost future and poor choices.

Back at camp, Tinycloud and recent Skyclan inductee Honeythroat are checked over by Darkmoon and Lionblossom. The two overhear Sparkpelt complain that Skyclan doesn’t belong, and Aldernose swats at his sister, who grouses about being crowded.

At the Gathering, Rowanstar gets yelled at, and Tawnypelt steps in, reminding them that they all lost someone. Everyone has a moment of silent remembrance, and Mistystar closes out by closing the borders for a bit. Hawkfrost bids his family farewell for now, and heads back with his clan. Tawnypelt offers a chunk of Shadowclan, and Leafstar accepts. Canon continues until…

Violetpaw and Twigpaw ask their parents about how they fell in love, leading to mushy smooches, yuck stop ew! Shortly after, poor Finpaw nearly gets Smushed, but gets shoved by Twigpaw. His tail trapped, Dewpaw runs to camp while Twigpaw runs for Embertail HELP MY DUDE MY GUY IS STUCK!!! Canon continues until…

Ivyleaf and Fernsong Have A Mature Discussion Like Adults, and decide to have kits in the future. Fernsong is Thrilled to raise some kits while his Hot Wife brings home the bacon!

Violetpaw is led to Tree, who’s really chill about the Literal Ghost of Needletail staring him down. Like she’s got a menacing stare and he’s just cold as leafbare.

At Gathering, Rowanstar steps down at Goldenheart’s disappearance, nearly offering to join the clans when Tawnypelt steps up - she will NOT abandon Shadowclan, and her son WILL be back! She does offer to share their land completely. The Skyclan patrol returns with the missing cats, and while all is not well it’s better. Canon continues until…

Twigpaw talks to her parents and Leafstar, and rejoins Thunderclan with Finpaw right behind her. Violetpaw becomes Violetshine, and Tree shows Rowanstar the Ghosts. This does not dissuade him from renouncing his leadership. At all. If a ghost told me to shape up I’d at least take it into consideration.

Back at Thunderclan camp, Twigpaw and Finpaw are put on a short probation of sorts, under Sparkpelt and Larksong. Twigpaw is annoyed but kind of gets it? Meanwhile Violetshine tries to get Tree to Do Things. So far he’s managed to keep Shadowclan and Skyclan from biting each other’s heads off. Leafstar and Tawnypelt hmmmm in interest. Sleekwhisker reappears! Yarrowleaf is Pregananant, and when they get escorted from Clan lands, they glare at Rowanclaw and Tawnypelt. Canon continues until…

At the gathering, Tawnypelt and Leafstar inform everyone that since some of their clan have been sheltering Sleekwhisker and Yarrowleaf, they’ll be under observation officially until the kits are weaned. There are complaints but kits are to be protected! Canon continues until…

The Storm Begins. Briarlight is evacuated, Aldernose adopts some kittypets, Riverclan is oN FIRE?!?!!!? Skyclan hunkers down, and Tawnypelt puts her clan in gear to be helpful. After things start to calm down, with Riverclan moved and everyone finding each other, Lionblossom notes that Briarlight has been hiding an illness. She hasn’t been feeling well all day, but it’s nothing, right? Unfortunately it’s serious, and Briarlight joins Starclan surrounded by her family and clanmates. Velvet the kittypet is helpful in the grieving clan, tidying up the medicine den and keeping everyone together in their mourning. Canon continues until…

Yarrowleaf is found drowsy and alone, her kits missing. When Sleekwhisker is tracked down, she demands the head of Tawnypelt for the kits, so Rowanclaw knows the pain of losing their beloved mate. Rowanclaw steps up as an alternative sacrifice, and dies saving the kits. He tells his beloved that he’ll see her at her Leader Ceremony, and that their wayward son will be home soon. She heads for the Moonpool the next morning, emerging as Tawnystar, with a weight lifted from her shoulders. As she leaves, a furious yowl echoes - Sleekwhisker! She leaps, completely misses, and lands on her neck with a sickening CRUNCH. Embertail nudges her ms Keisha? Oh she dead.

Meanwhile, Velvet and Fuzzball return home, and Twigpaw and Finpaw become Twigbranch and Finleap. Hawkwing, Pebbleshine, and Violetshine head back to find Goldenheart, Dovewing, her kits, several loners, and more missing Shadowclan cats with even more kits.

Dovewing visits her sister, their kits playing in the sun. They’ll never be too far from each other, even though they’ll be in different clans. Tawnystar greets her clan, to raucous cheering. Aldernose returns Velvet’s toy, and promises to keep in touch.

Between books, Frostfoot passes away of old age in his sleep, and Ashfur semi-retires because of his leg. Flyshadow promises to follow after him soon, her joints have been aching.

Up in Starclan, the leaders crowd to watch the clans work. Rowanclaw joins them, backed by Longstar. Everyone agrees that there need to be five clans, but trouble lies ahead. Again. There are complaints of why are the clans so DRAMATIC can’t we have just a normal year?!?

Back at Thunderclan, Twigbranch tries to Mentor, and gets a little frustrated. Finleap sympathizes. The pair and their apprentices find Puddleshine stuck and bring him back to camp. Embertail is informed and Very Concerned. Canon continues until…

Darkmoon sees a rabbit eating deathberries and makes a connection. The treatment begins, with patient approval of course. Canon continues until…

After the argument at the Gathering, Tawnystar visits Thunderclan and is Very Concerned with them literally poisoning one of her healers. Mollified by Puddleshine agreeing, they head to camp with Embertail informed of the Treatment Plan. Canon continues until…

At shadowclan camp, little Shadowkit has a seizure. Nearby Yellowfang is appalled by accidentally triggering it. She just wanted to visit her so-many-greats-grandkit! Who decided to give another one of my relatives Powers so help me I’ll flatten them! Canon continues until…

Finleap is escorted to camp, and Brightstar is dissapointed. She would have given permission but nooooo now he’s grounded. Canon continues until…

The medicine cats go to the moonpool, Embertail commenting that he thinks Shadowkit will be Puddleshine’s apprentice in the future. Canon continues until…

Skyclan is having A Bad Time heading back to the gorge, and the spirits of Echosong and Mistfeather are being Judgy. But on they go. Canon continues until…

Embertail is told by Shadowkit that Juniperclaw has been Lurking by the Deathberries. This is Very Concerning. Tawnystar is informed, and a subtle eye is kept on the accused poisoner. Canon continues until…

Up in the trees, Skyclan is really regretting leaving. Leafstar almost drowns, but Finleap and the Volunteer Rescue Squad get everyone to safety. Tree and Violetshine reunite, and it’s very sappy.

Back at Shadowclan, Tawnystar and Embertail question Juniperclaw, and he fesses up. After being Mom-Scolded and Kindly-Brother-Scolded, an unbeatable duo. Canon continues until…

Violetshine falls in the floodwaters, and struggles to rescue Shadowkit. Juniperclaw tries to redeem himself, and as Violetshine tries to pull him up, he does a Zira from TLK2 and drops back into the waters. Tree goes bruh f in chat for that guy, and Magyver says what are you even saying weirdo.

The clans reunite. Land is sectioned off again. Violetshine might be pregnant? Twigbranch and Finleap sit side by side. Mistlenose and Aldernose watch the stars, seeing their family’s spirits watching from above. All is well for now, and isn’t that lovely?

Longstar AU plotpoints

For @blupple-pie, who requested more Longstar AU! Thanks for the interest!

First off, the name changes for reference!

Longtail = Longstar

Princess = Flamewish

Tiny/Scourge = Frostfoot

Squirrelflight = Foxflight

Leafpool = Swiftpool

Snowkit = Snowthorn

Mistlekit = Mistlenose

Shrewpaw = Shrewleg

Lionblaze = Lionblossom

Jayfeather = Jaywhisker

Hollyleaf = Hollywish

Ivypool = Ivyleaf

And original Characters Flyshadow and Coldlight, kits that are claimed by Frostfoot as his own, but it’s unknown if he fathered them. But he’s absolutely their dad, no matter the blood.

So I played very loose and free with the timeline, because a) it’s been a while since I read the original and b) I didn’t care, I just wanted to have fun!

Anyways, here’s the major plot points!

Wishkit survives and is found in the woods by some wandering humans who nurse her back to health, and rename her Nutmeg. She falls for Jake, and has her litter.

The encounter with Tiny, Thistleclaw, Bluefur, and Tigerclaw goes as canon up to a point, but Tigerpaw hurts Tiny badly enough that Bluefur brings him back to Thunderclan. He's in the Medicine cat den healing up, and bonds with Spottedpaw/leaf (I can’t remember how old she is) and eventually, he sees there’s something wrong. After some coaxing, and talking with Bluefur (who’s starting to see Tiny as a surrogate son), she spills the beans about Thistleclaw, and hoo boy does he get permabanished reeeaalll fast, pretty much leaves a cat-shaped dust cloud. Tiny becomes Frostpaw, and Tigerpaw gets mentored by uhhh Bluefur or Thrushpelt. Then canon continues until...

The fight between Longtail and Rusty! They’re fighting and Rusty’s pinned when out of left field WHAM! Princess, who is a Concerned Sibling, sees Kitty Fight Club and her precious sibling getting walloped and absolutely Y E E T S Longtail off her bro. Bluestar is thankfully impressed she snuck up on camp, and can toss a full-grown warrior like a leaf in a strong breeze, and decides to induct them both into Thunderclan. Now Firepaw, seeing as he’s had some weird dreams, become’s Spottedleaf’s apprentice, and Flamepaw becomes Bluestar’s. Canon continues, with character swaps and more apprentice interactions until...

Yellowfang! See, Fireheart looks identical to Wishkit, except for his pelt, and Flamewish has her pelt. So when Yellowfang tackles Firepaw while he gathers herbs, she has an emotional flashback, and cut to Firepaw bringing a traumatized old lady back home, Bluestar can I keep her? The warning is given, the Battle happens, and a few new things happen as well!

Whitestorm gets pinned by Bone, but the Apprentice Squad, with Flypaw and Coldpaw, knock him over and destroy his stupid face. Graystripe defends Fireheart, still his best friend, from Darkstripe, but Darkstripe survives and limps off after the battle, with the ghost of Tigerstar whispering in his ear.

Brightstar AU - Alderpaw’s Quest

Alright I’m back! No stopping me let’s a gooooo!

At the Moonpool, Darkmoon and Lionblossom meet up with the other medicine cats. Littlecloud looks tired, and Embertail sticks to his side, concerned. They commune with Starclan, and when they end up in the same area, Darkmoon calls shenanigans. Longstar, Blackstar, Leopardstar, and Tallstar emerge, and Lionblossom seconds the shenanigans. The group is given the Embrace the Shadows to Clear the Sky prophecy, and Longstar draws Darkmoon’s attention to a fleeing cat.

Back at camp, Alderkit and Sparkkit, kits of Foxflight and Shrewleg, and Juniperkit and Dandelionkit, kits of Bumblestripe and Rosepetal, are made apprentices. Alderpaw gets Mistlenose, Sparkpaw gets Cherryfall, Juniperpaw gets Berrynose, and Dandelionpaw gets Molewhisker. They head off to the elder’s den, and Alderpaw catches Darkmoon and Lionblossom looking at him. This activates his anxiety, as he’s had doubts about being a warrior, with his shorter legs like the legendary Fireheart. Mistlenose notices his Vibes, and pulls an answer out of him. After a hard day of training, and a great deal of progress, Alderpaw dreams of Fireheart, and some strange cats. Sandstorm overheard him confiding in Mistlenose and Nona Flamewish, and identifies them as Skyclan cats! After some discussion, the cats chosen to find Skyclan are Alderpaw, Mistlenose, Snowthorn (who insists on accompanying his sister), Sandstorm, Coldlight (who’s not letting his wife have an adventure without him), and Flamewish, who loudly insists that she’s got one more adventure in her! The group splits up, and Alderpaw and Needlepaw find a cat named Rain, who says he knows where Skyclan is! But before they can go anywhere, a warning scream, as Sandstorm, a strange cat, and the rest of the group bolt in - Run! Run fast! It’s a trap! More strange cats spring from the trees, coated in moss and dirt, and Alderpaw literally carries Needlepaw away on his back, panic only rising when they’re swept away in the river. As they retrace their steps, the pair find a strange tunnel, and a worn molly curled around two kits.

She introduces herself as Pebbleshine, and her kits as Twigkit and Violetkit, and begs them for help. She tells them about what really happened to Skyclan, and Alderpaw offers then a place in Thunderclan, insisting his Nona will love the company! Canon continues until…

At the Thunderclan border, Needlepaw veers off towards home, strangely sullen. Birchfall and berrynose meet alderpaw and Pebbleshine, and Alderpaw sees a horrible grief hiding behind relief. When he enters camp, through the teary reunion, cats are missing.

Snowthorn is gone. Nona - Flamewish is gone! They held the line, mother and son, keeping the rogues back from Alderpaw and Needlepaw. Coldlight had to drag a horrified Mistlenose away, while Sandstorm and the stranger, who Pebbleshine calls Mistfeather, cleared the way out. Alderpaw grieves, with his family around him. Brightstar takes Pebbleshine to the nursery, where Mistfeather sets himself up as a guardian.

At the gathering, Rowanstar begins to demand the Skyclan cats come to Shadowclan - it’s the Prophecy!!! But Flamewish yeets down fromStarclan and declares that he has a different role to play.

Bright star AU - Brightstar’s Storm

First off, sorry this is so far away from the rest of the AU - I’m going to try to do weekly updates but no promises. I get writers block hard sometimes. Anyway, welcome back and here we goooOOO!

Up in Starclan, Longstar is hunting a juicy squirrel, happy he can see again but still trusting his other senses. Nearby, Fireheart is sharing tongues with Gran Yellowfang. They discuss how Thunderclan nearly lost members to Greencough, but managed to find catmint just in time to save their clan. Yellowfang divulges that Mistystar and Hawkfrost have broken up, noting it was far more amicable than her and Raggedstar’s tumultuous breakup. Fireheart confides that Longstar hasn’t walked in Brightstar’s dreams yet, hoping that he does so soon. Back with Longstar, he pounces on the squirrel! Success! And then Cloudstar literally falls out of a nearby tree, hollering the Prophecy as he runs off, looking embarrassed.

Back in Thunderclan, Brightstar goes on a patrol with Berrynose, Spiderleg, and her daughter Amberpaw. They run across the Windclan cats who warn them off, with Brightstar leading her clanmates away. Canon continues until…

Lilypaw and seedpaw become Lilyheart and Seedpelt, their parents looking on in pride. Fern and Ivyleaf have struck up a strong friendship, often seen together. Flamewish ships it. Brightstar is just happy that her grandkit is happier. Greystripe retires, and Frankie and a recovering Benny join Thunderclan as Stormpaw and Badgerpaw, with Foxflight and Swiftpool as mentors; Fern is named Fernsong, as his skills and age are warrior appropriate. Minty is reunited with her twolegs, and Jessy heads out, wishing Thunderclan luck in the future. At the Gathering, all clans agree to work together in such a future event, and Starclan spirits yowl their agreement.

In the future, Foxflight watches Wheatpaw (Sorrelpaw) and Yewpaw (Hollypaw), and Sandstorm and Coldlight’s kits Redpaw, Icepaw, and Brindlepaw become apprentices, Stormpaw and Badgerpaw become Stormcloud and Badgerthroat, and learns to her great joy, that she’s pregnant!!! Shrewleg runs face-first into a tree in shock.

Longstar Au Thunderclan Boogaloo

First, i’d like to thank all of you for your support of my au, I was really surprised at the support! Seriously thank you!!

Second, some details I forgot to mention last time. Cinderpaw still gets hit by the car, but instead of being forced into being a medicine cat, she genuinely enjoys working with Fireheart and Yellowfang. Flamewish makes a bunch of jokes about how her brother stole her apprentice, but she’s just glad Cinderpaw survived. And Longstar still gets kicked in the face by the rabbit, but manages to turn his head at the last second. He still loses some of his vision, but only about half - as he ages it gets worse, but by the time he goes completely blind, he’s got a grandkit that helps him work through his struggles.

Anyway, onto the next part!

In the space between book canon, Longstar is out looking for a juicy mouse for his hungry wife, who’s caring for their first kits, when he’s caught off guard by the scent of dog. To his dismay, he finds a ravaged dead dog with a large grey molly breathing her last nearby. She rasps out for something in the dark, and passes. Longstar looks around, and finds a terrified kit hiding under a nearby bush, bleeding from a paw. After a rushed run back to camp, the kit is treated by Fireheart and Cinderpelt, and Flamewish scoops up the traumatized kit to snuggle with Swiftkit and Foxkit. It’s quickly agreed he’s staying with Flamewish, and Longstar deduces he’s the Dark that the molly was referencing, and Dark-kit is officially adopted by the leader of Thunderclan. Swiftpaw comes to her father, worried that her problems hunting and anxiety outside of camp will keep her from being a warrior. Longstar remembers a tale about a warrior who guarded the camp after an injury crippled him, and works with her mentor Mistlenose to get her up to speed on hunting, while working with Fireheart and Cinderpelt with her anxiety. Foxpaw and Darkpaw join her to be supportive, and Darkpaw discovers a love of healing, leading to him apprenticing under Cinderpelt. Canon continues until...

Ashfur! He has zero romantic intentions towards Foxfur - for one, she’s his niece! Ew! Also he has a mate - Flyshadow, Frostfoot’s daughter. They’re holing off on having kits for now, but are absolutely smitten with each other. Flyshadow’s brother Coldlight has a crush on Sandstorm, but with his selective mutism and shyness, he’s never told her. Canon continues until...

Brambleclaw! Foxpaw absolutely bothers the snot out of him, but he has a plan - he hates the leaders of Thunderclan, despises Whitestorm for betraying his old friend, and Longstar for usurping his father’s rightful place. That's right, Brambleclaw is a Tigerstar apologist. His mother and sister have no idea how much he idolizes his father, or that his ghost has been visiting him in the night. His plan is to use Foxpaw to get close to Longstar, and eventually usurp the old foxheart Whitestorm, then murder Longstar and return Thunderclan to a pure, kittypet free clan, feared by the other clans. So he puts up with her, hoping to get closer so he can enact he and his father’s plan. Canon continues until...

The new Prophecy! Fireheart has a vision of a flaming cat and a shadowy tiger. and Foxpaw starts having strange dreams. She meets up with the others, with Brambleclaw following behind, claiming she needs “a real warrior” to back her up. Tawnypelt is happy to see her brother, but a bit suspicious - he seems like he’s hiding something. Foxpaw and the older Crowpaw bond over their status as apprentices, and after a while, Crowpaw opens up about his phobia of water. He tells Foxpaw and a supportive Feathertail about his adoption into Windclan, and how the first thing he can remember is drowning, and then being dragged out of the water by twolegs. He fled, and was found wandering Windclan by Deadfoot, and adopted. The three create a strong friendship, which continues canonically until...

The Tribe! Feathertail is still the silver cat of the prophecy, but survives just barely, breaking her back and becoming paralyzed. Stormfur promises to come back for her, plus he still falls for Brook. The rest of the gang continues on by canon until...

The trapped cats and Shrewpaw! Sandstorm is the one who gets driven off instead of Graystripe, and the clans all mourn her as if she died. Shrewpaw manages to yeet himself farther than canon, getting clipped on the hip and spun across the road. He drags himself back to Thunderclan, pheasant clenched in his mouth. His hind leg never fully heals, but he throws himself into cat-physical therapy with Cinderpelt to get back on his feet. Canon continues until...

The return! The cats are greeted lovingly by their families if not the rest of their clans, and Foxpaw and Crowpaw become Foxflight and Crowfeather. Shrewpaw, now Shrewleg, and Ashfur help Foxflight mourn for Sandstorm, her mentor. Brambleclaw sees this, and feels a surge of jealousy - that’s HIS Foxflight, his pawn! But he holds it together, fake consoling Whitestorm. Canon continues until...

The elders! Mudfur is still ill, and Frostfur, Speckletail, Loudbelly, and Shadepelt decide to stay with him. However, Flamewish insists in giving them a chance, and convinces them to go to her previous Twolegs home, where they’re taken in and cared for like kittypet royalty by the twolegs and their neighbors, as they deserve. Smokepaw falls! Russetfur spots him clinging desperately to a root, and Mudclaw bravely climbs down, retrieving the terrified apprentice from his certain doom. Everyone breathes a sigh of relief. Canon continues until...

The Tribe again! Graystripe is reunited with Feathertail, who’s flattered by Crowfeather’s requested name. Darkpaw has the vision of Spottedleaf, and the clans marvel at the Lake Territory. Canon continues until...

Hawkfrost and Mothwing finally meet up with Brambleclaw, but their conversation is interrupted when Mothwing spots Crowfeather, and thinks she’s seeing a ghost - but then Hawkfrost is like, wait, I see him too? And Crowfeather is startled, but, do I know you? And it’s officially revealed that Crowfeather is Tadpole! A joyous, if slightly confused sibling reunion takes place, and Crowfeather gets to introduce his adopted family to his missing siblings! The only one not delighted is Brambleclaw, furious at being upstaged. But he feigns delight at the events. Canon continues until...

The death of a leader. Tallstar passes, but with Mudclaw at his side. He begs his Deputy to treat the other clans with kindness, as he treated Smokepaw. Mudclaw is fervent in his promise to be a better leader than he has been a Deputy. Onewhisker is seen talking angrily to Brambleclaw, but Brambleclaw dismisses suspicions by claiming to be trying to calm his fellow warrior down. Canon continues until...

The moonpool! Darkpaw follows the spirit of Spottedleaf, and finds the Moonpool. At the next half-moon, he’s named Darkmoon. Canon continues until...

The Windclan Revolt! Onewhisker attacks Mudclaw on his way to becoming leader. Things go mostly the same, with Swiftpool being saved by Crowfeather and the following Feelings Confession, but this time it’s Foxflight and Longstar chasing down Onewhisker. He’s nearly crushed by the tree, but instead is knocked clear, breaking his hind legs and cracking him on the skull. Mudclaw calls for the medicine cats, and when Onewhisker wakes later, he has no recollection from the start of the Journey onward, and professes no animosity towards Mudclaw. Now Mudstar chooses to spare him and he is confined to the medicine den until he heals. Canon continues until...

Way different romantic drama! Foxflight and Shrewleg fell hard for each other on the Journey, and Ashfur and Flyshadow just decided to start trying for kits. It’s too bad Brambleclaw keeps starting rumors about secret relationships. They go nowhere fast, and Brambleclaw scrambles to keep a hold of his plans. Crowfeather and Swiftpool keep meeting up in secret, and consider running. During this time, Darkmoon finds out about the Tigerstar training program, and warns not Brambleclaw, but Hawkfrost, about the consequences of his actions. Hawkfrost mulls over when he tried to drop a moth wing by the medicine den, but one was already there. Canon continues until...

The Badger attack! Midnight warns the runaways and they return, but not in time to save Cinderpelt. Flamewish spots Crowfeather, does that math-circling-the-lady meme, and drags Crow, Swift, Fox, and Longstar into the den after the fight, and commands the nervous duo to spill it right now sO HELP ME STARCLAN! And they spill it, the whole secret romance. There’s a moment of silence, then Foxflight starts the Traditional Thunderclan Threats to a Siblings Datefriend, Lonstar assures Crowfeather and Swiftpool he isn’t angry, while Flamewish demands details of the love confession, was it passionate?!?! This leads to Longstar and Mudstar hashing out a deal - as long as their clans are at peace, the two can be in a relationship. This deal eventually spreads to the other clans, allowing more cross-clan relationships. (Deadfoot is simultaneously disappointed and impressed by his son, Mudstar can’t stop laughing) Canon continues until...

The blood on the lake. Brambleclaw snaps, and lures Longstar to the lake, where he’s foxtrapped. Hawkfrost is visited in his dreams by Yellowfang, who yells at him to wake up and stop his idiot half-brother gET UP OR SO HELP ME STARCLAN!!! (Yes this is exactly where Flamewish gets it from) Hawkfrost makes it to the shore as Longstar falls, and knocks Brambleclaw off the Thunderclan Leader. The two tussle, and Hawkfrost frees Longstar, killing Brambleclaw with the stake.

Sometime later, Swiftpool tells Crowfeather she’s pregnant.
