Rereading Marineford kind of takes the emotional impact out of it for me for the dumbest reason. Like that lower panel in the second page shows Akainu is legit surprised that Ace took such low-effort bait and just went "I know some of my loved ones have died so I can escape but this man talked shit about my dad"

Like I'm imagining Akainu having an after-work drink during the timeskip and he's just chuckling about it with some of his colleagues. "So then, get this, the fucker actually turned around, KNOWING he couldn't defeat me, all because of some shit-talking and banter. I still can't believe it, fisting that kid's chest was the easiest promotion I've ever gotten"

sorry i'm having intense wyrmclan leader brainrot again. i was thinking about this chart i made and i really..... mourn the interactions we missed between certain leaders...

would've LOVED to see yukimura and yoshitsune interact, i feel like they paired yuki with shingen as a sort of "old meets new" but yoshitsune pushes that dynamic even further ?! at the same time yoshitsune is so... youthful that i feel like she would match yuki's energy really well... this goes for nobunaga as well 🥹 i like how energetic and spirited the wyrmclan girls tend to be then you have mitsuhide who's at the polar opposite end of the spectrum

also no surprise that i really wanted to see seimei and ieyasu interact directly (they're. in the same room in a couple of stories but don't address each other) because it's just really fascinating to me how opposites they are... i don't think seimei would treat ieyasu very differently from how he treated euden but maybe he has more respect for him since ieyasu hasn't yknow fucked up badly at something yet...

seimei and yuki has really nice potential too like yuki does mention seimei in her story but since hers is about learning from the other leaders i would've loved to see seimei in a reluctant mentor role... i guess it feels too similar to his dynamic with kuzunoha?

i also just find it really fascinating how you can. very clearly draw a line between the leaders introduced in the first two events and the latter two because ieyasu, mitsuhide and nobunaga all seem to have had somewhat cushy lives and had no major incidents regarding their ascension to their leader roles meanwhile seimei accidentally gets his entire organization killed and almost offs himself trying to fix things, yoshitsune is betrayed by her brother and almost dies until she gets TURNED IMMORTAL against her will, shingen staged a coup against his father (and brother?) and yukimura's mere existence caused conflict between two clans and also grew up forcibly locked up by her own family. like the tonal shift between a clawful caper (mitsuhide event) and cursed connections (seimei event) is still so insane to me??

but i think that's why some relationships like shingen and yoshitsune, seimei and yukimura are so interesting to think about for me because they have somewhat similar situations but ended up as very different people... shingen and yoshitsune in particular are really nice to think about because they were both caught up in an inheritance struggle but while shingen was someone who fought for his title because he believed his father (and by extension brother?) to be unworthy of it, yoshitsune only takes the title as a means to an end once her brother's bloodline ends...

i also just like the idea of seimei viewing ieyasu as this kind of idealized wyrmclan leader who is doomed to fail. like it's definitely projection on his part but ieyasu doesn't seem like he's ever been in any real danger or struggles and seimei is simultaneously envious and condescending about it... but that's also why i find it so interesting that they both have no ambitions to become shogun but it feels like for ieyasu that's because he has a bigger dream but for seimei it's because he's content where he is now...

AUGH sorry i'm insane. i'm insane about the wyrmclan leaders but i'll shut up. for now

Every time I try to write lately, I just can't get anywhere with it :/ I can string words together but they feel empty. Events happen, but what story are they even telling? There's no emotion, no depth, so substance at all. I just can't make anything that's about or says anything at all and idk why :/

I’m just gonna ask this once but how come whenever brody is absent for more than two days IM the one getting harassed over it? I’m not gonna respond anymore because I think I’ve made my points clear and all I can say atp is check my pinned but like…why is it me? Are you trying to be like “i told you so?” or like are you trying to prove something? because my stance isn’t gonna change. I’m still gonna support him. And it’s fucking creepy the way some of you track his absences. He’s allowed to take breaks. He should take breaks and the reason WHY he takes breaks is not up for speculation and if he really “wasn’t in the show anymore” we would’ve heard about it by now. He’s entitled to his own privacy and I don’t know why i’m the one who has to deal with the brunt of the hate like I’m not him. I’m not connected to him and just because I’ve been vocal about my opinions in the past doesn’t mean i enjoy looking at dumb anonymous hate.

Let him take breaks without speculating why he’s gone. It’s creepy and frankly it’s an invasion if his privacy. You don’t know him. I know a lot of the cast is active online so it seems like people know him but you don’t. It’s okay to be worried but what I’ve been receiving is not okay. And you know who you are. He’s probably fine and just needed a while to take a break. A lot of the cast takes breaks and yet it’s just him that gets shit. Sure maybe he takes off more than other people but that’s his choice. And his part is the most involved and it’s NATURAL that he’s need a break. It’s his body. Not yours. He knows his body better than anyone and if he decides he needs a break, then he’s going to take a break. End of story, close case, don’t speculate. And if you hate it that much then don’t support the show.

I’m done being the one everyone goes to to be like “oh he’s absent again all he does is take breaks” or “oh he’s absent he shouldn’t be on broadway” because it’s gross. If you’re speculating that hard and tracking the absences of someone you hate so much then I’m going to assume you genuinely have no life.

Sorry for the rant. I’m just sick of waking up to hoards of anon hate and speculation. He’s fine. If something happened we would’ve known by now.

I can't even take the chuunin exam argument seriously anymore because it's literally just two traumatised PTSD riddled men who are overprotective of the students taking one comment just a little too personally and blowing up about it. Kakashi happens to hear Iruka question the motives of the kids' teachers and is pretty obviously thinking "did this bitch just imply I don't care about the kids I literally almost died for?" and so reactively snaps back without thinking first with the cruelest thing he can (which is to say how it could be fun to break them in with pain) with the sole purpose of goading Iruka's infamous temper to which Iruka, who is also super protective of the kids and also just took this personally, rises to that goad and snaps back directly to Kakashi and then it becomes a fucking fire

And this all could've been avoided if even one of them had thought to calmly explain their perspectives in private but unfortunately they're both protective of the kids and tend to let their emotions take over in regards to said kids' safeties [such as: both of them being ready and willing to sacrifice themselves to protect their students] and it leads to this. All because they just happen to be a little too similar and all I can do is laugh at them for not seeing it at the time. The interactions they'd had prior to this were always good natured and friendly so you'd think they'd know not to get reactionary about this stuff but alas! They're only human and shit happens

unfortunately the reason i started making bots was bc i cldnt find any gen v ones that suited me! and yeah ahhh. the reason my bots are so easy to bypass the filter is bc they’re coded with nsfw subtext. they toe the line between being shadowbanned or straight-up banned (which means they vanish into thin air so i needa constantly create a new duplicate copies of a bot to find n edit that mysterious flagged text so it can be used publicly) which is why most don’t appear in the search </3

for finding more bots! i suggest clicking thru bot creators followings you like, and then their followings, and etc. i find a lot of bots that way! and superrr underrated creators.
