I think it was magical the strange city of Mirpur.

I saw an endless river with boats at night like fireflies over a fountain.

Like clusters of stars in the night sky; I had no worries in the world as if they were stolen from me.

I felt like I had been cleansed of all my secrets. In that moment it was just me and the everlasting glimmer in the distance as the boats drifted further away.

When the sun came up it faded away into nothing as the town started to wake up and so did I.

"মুক্তিযুদ্ধ ও বৈষম্য" এই দুয়ের বিরুদ্ধে ছাত্র জনতার আন্দোলন? প্রসঙ্গ নিয়ে ফরহাদকে বলার সময় জনৈক বাবু ভাই উপস্থিত হলেন, আর আফসোস করলেন, কারন এখন তার আর সংশোধনের রাস্তা নাই।

When I arrived, I noticed that the event was being indirectly supported by the BNP. My friend Farhad was the event organizer. Anyway, I watched for a while. But the most bizarre thing was that the banner text: "Liberation War and Anti-Discrimination Student-Public Movement." What does that even mean? A student-public movement against both the Liberation War and Discrimination? As I was about to discuss the matter with Farhad, someone named Babu Bhai appeared and expressed his regret, as there was no way to correct it anymore.

প্রতি বছর নিয়মিত ভিত্তিতে জল্লাদখানা বধ্যভ���মি স্মৃতিপীঠে উপস্থিত না হলেও ২০২৫ সালে হাজিরা দিলাম। প্রতি বছর যেমন বেদী ফুলে ফুলে ছেয়ে যায়, সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান হয় - এই বছর পুরাই শুনশান। কেউই যায় নি। আমি সিদ্ধান্ত নিলাম মিরপুর ১০ নাম্বার গোলচক্কর থেকে ফুল কিনে নিয়ে আসি, কিন্তু ততক্ষণে বন্ধ হবার আট মিনিট বাকি - তাই আর হল না।
