Miraculous Re-Watch

Y'all I'm rewatching Miraculous and honestly? I get why we all were really into it. Like, just based off the first season, it really did have so much potential. Also the CHARACTERS oh my god. Reading fanfics I'm like yeah Adrien and Chat Noir don't act all that alike, but they really do? Which makes sense, duh. But they really do bleed into each other in the first season.

Adrien is sarcastic and sassy with Plagg and others. He's sly! He's a little oblivious, but not as much as in newer seasons. And Marinette is clumsy as Ladybug! Not all of her plans work out! She has faults bc she is still herself. And god their relationship, its so fun! Like it's fun to watch them interact. Yeah she's a bit more serious bc she's her, but they take turns leading the missions! She flirts back with him. A lot of their dynamic also happens bc Chat Noir is the embodiment of bad luck. He gets into rough situations, and she saves him bc she's good luck, not bc he's incapable. I could say so much more about them, but it really is a great premise! (Like Tikki and Plagg, or just the original animation *muah*).

I think it is genuinely sweet how every time Adrien finds out that Ladybug is Marinette, he immediately accepts it, and he is SO happy too, like, oh my god, Marinette and his Lady are the same person that's amazing!!!!! And then Marinette needs to PROCESS everything when she finds out Adrien is Chat Noir because she gets psychic damage 😭😭😭

Félix making fun of Adrien is funny but Adrien making fun of Félix is equally as hilarious because like. He’s so quick about it. He doesn’t have to think about it, he knows exactly how to do it like he’s thought about it before.

In the episode ‘Félix’ alone, when he’s pretending to be Félix when the Punishers Trio show up, he immediately acts CARTOONISHLY evil. Does a silly evil cackle and runs off. Then later when he encounters Félix as Chat Noir, he immediately hits him with the, “You don’t have many friends, do you? :)”

Too bad we never got Chat Noir and Argos fighting because you just KNOW Chat would be leaving some devastating blows. Cain Instinct Real.

Here's the first in line of my rewatch creations! It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do for this episode, but I had done a comic cover for Origins Part 2 several years ago and really wanted to take a stab at another one! This is a much more cartoony style compared to the first but I think it's fun! It probably also won't be the last comic cover in this bunch, either.

Thanks to Pilot and the old Squad for the comic cover layout!! I don't know what the title font was before I but I DID remember the number font.

When Marinette tackle-hugs Alya and says "You're the best!", the German dub has her straight-up say "I love you!" As in, "Ich liebe dich!", which is romantic, as opposed to the platonic version which is "Ich hab dich lieb!"

The German translator ships Alyanette, pass it on.
