Marinette Salt Prompts: Miraculous - Into the Quantic-Verse
Ok, lets start it from the beginning ok? One last time.
Her name is Chloe Bourgeois. She is 16 years old, and for the past 2 years she was the one and only Reine Ecarlate, wielder of the Ladybug Miraculous.
The only thing was, she wasn't the first.
Thanks to evil machinations of a supervillain in Chloe's world (who attempted to access the multiverse in an attempt to obtain power), a shockwave was sent through Paris like an earthquake, taking many lives in the process. This resulted in Chloe having become the next Ladybug wielder, after the first one, Marinette, sacrificed herself to save the former, resulting in her being seriously injured and placed in a coma.
This act had broke Chloe, despite her original animosity for the bluenette. Seeing the sacrifice Marinette had made, Chloe resolved to take up her mantle in the former's stead and protect Paris from Hawkmoth. After all, with great power comes great responsibility.
She struggled at first. After all, she was Chloe, and kindness was not something that came to her naturally. But no matter how many times she fell, she kept getting back up, determined to make Marinette's sacrifice count, not only in just her hero life, but also her normal one.
Eventually, she became the Ladybug she had always hoped to live up to, became a Chloe that was adored instead of revilled by her classmates and she defeated the supervillain that caused this mess in the first place, and stopped Hawkmoth once and for all, right before Marinette was due to wake up. As Marinette still needed time to heal (and the fact that the butterfly miraculous had been stolen post battle), Marinette officially gave her blessing to have Chloe be the Ladybug miraculous wielder, having seen the latters growth after coming out of the coma. Life was ... not easy, but it was getting better for the girl who was once a brat, but now a role model.
Then of course, things became much harder.
An akuma appeared, but not one from Chloe's world. This akuma would prove very strong, but was beaten by Reine with the help of a Ladybug who chased after the akuma. Though this Ladybug would attempt to leave (with the help of a strange looking gizmo on her wrist), Chloe got pulled in by mistake.
The result was that Reine found herself in a pocket reality filled with Ladybugs, alongside a few Bunnyx's and Rena's. This multiversal conglomerate of heroines all worked towards preventing the damage caused by people being sent to other worlds.
It was here that Reine met - or was rather, confronted by - Ladybug Prime.
It was here that Reine learned that the reason that this group even existed was because of her universe. Because of the supervillain Reine defeated, the multiverse suffered damage, causing these portals that would transport others to different realities (though by the way Ladybug Prime had worded it, Chloe was sure that this Ladybug was blaming HER).
Reine also learned that her promotion to a Ladybug wielder had changed much of her story. Ladybug Prime held in particular that despite all Hawkmoth had done, Adrien was NEVER meant to have learned about his fathers past, with Ladybug believing that such a truth would damage him irrevocably.
So of course, Ladybug would fix everything! .... by going to Reine's universe and using the rabbit to travel back in time and warn Marinette about what would happen (who in this world never met or would meet Bunnyx), undoing her coma ... at the expense of everything Chloe had become because of the experience. That way, Marinette would still be Ladybug and Adrien would never learn about his father!
"After all...." Ladybug said with a smile that set Reine uneasy. "Ladybug holds the truth. The whole world will know only what Ladybug will tell it. Her words will be the truth."
Naturally, Reine thought it was complete bullshit. Maybe she would've been fine with saving Marinette (even at the cost to herself), but she could never imagine a universe where Adrien had everything kept hidden from him! Not to mention that despite the pain he had felt learning about his father, Adrien eventually recovered and became much stronger for it!
For all that had changed about her, Chloe could tell that this Marinette was full of shit. Reine could tell in that moment that this Ladybug believed Adrien should be controlled, to be nothing more than her boytoy in a not-so-disimilar way Gabriel saw his son as a tool.
So obviously, Reine refused. Right as she was surrounded by a bunch of alternate Ladybugs.
The prime and alternate Ladybug's attacked, but Reine was able to keep up. Chloe had spent a bunch of her time training following her involuntary promotion to Reine (hoping to live up to Ladybug's legacy), and as such she was much stronger and more combat capable than the other Ladybugs, who were only used to dealing with akumas. Not to mention that Chloe had unlocked (or created) a greater range of powers than most of the other Ladybugs. The only exception to this was Ladybug Prime, who's greater strength and age left Chloe on the back foot.
Things started to get heated as Reine attempted to escape into Prime's version of Paris, followed by Ladybug's shouting.
"YOU WERE NEVER MEANT TO BE LADYBUG! ALL THIS STARTED BECAUSE OF YOU! If you weren't there next to Marinette, she would have stopped the supervillain much earlier, and NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED! I am only one who can fix EVERYTHING YOU MESSED UP!"
Ladybug had caught up to Reine and had slammed her into a train that the latter had managed to jump on. Pinned against the wall, all Reine could do was struggle as the rest of Ladybug's catched up.
"You don't deserve to be here, you never belonged her." Ladybug had whispered scathingly into her ear. "You were just meant to be a sad miserable brat who could do nothing but terrorise others. Even now you are trying to prevent justice. You could never change. You're just a dumb blonde."
"Yeah? Well, I was the one who managed to lure all your little friends away from your club house.... and, im about to do THIS!" Chloe yelled.
Reine started to glow, emitting energy that burned Ladybug's suit. Ladybug tried to pull away, but had gotten wrapped up by Reine's yoyo.
"....everyone keeps trying to tell me that my life is nothing. That I would never amount to ANYTHING. Well, I proved them all wrong. And I'm about to prove to you why I am ... no.... I BECAME the world's greatest hero."
Reine raised her fist, which glowed brighter.
"The power of Creation can create anything! Including light...heat... and FIRE!"
Reine fired a blast of magic fire at Ladybug, who was burnt despite her magic suit and was knocked into the other Ladybugs. Grabbing a sweet from her yoyo, Reine trasnformed into Spacebug and flew off back to the Ladybug Society, reaching the Miracle Box Ladybug just left casually there.
Grabbing Kaalki and Fluff, Reine merged to become Queen Starway. Combing Space and Time powers, Chloe created a portal back to her own universe just as Ladybug Prime was about to reach her, escaping in the process.
Ladybug Prime was left to yell in anger and frustration at both Reine's escape and her injuries, before she called upon various Bunnyx's to go after Reine. Chloe would pay for what she did! Ladybug was truth! Ladybug was justice!
Meanwhile hidden in the shadows, a pair of green eyes watched with glee as Ladybug started to break down...

I may be misremembering things, but it was a common detail in Lila salt fics to have her lie about having food allergies and had Marinette discover this by watching her eat the supposed allergen without issue only for no one to believe her. I don't recall any fics for certain as any Lila salt fics I've read have been a few years ago and felt too mean spirited and they all blended together for me. However, it gave me an idea for a Marinette salt fic set before Season 5 Confrontation.
Why allergies are no lie - A Marinette salt fic idea.
Marinette is told about a food allergy Lila has but she thinks Lila is lying for attention as usual, so she sneaks the allergen into the next baked product she brings for the class and waits for Lila to eat it and be fine so she can expose her for the liar she is. Two possible outcomes for this:
Lila really was allergic and has an allergic reaction, causing everyone to panic and Marinette has a "My God, What Have I Done" moment.
In her determination to expose Lila, Marinette forgets that another classmate shares the allergy and they have an allergic reaction.
To my knowledge, Lila never lied about an allergy in canon, but it still seems like something Marinette would have ranted and raved about her lying about if there'd been a dedicated scene to it in canon.
Also, Marinette's canonical jealousy made her stalk Lila into the school library, follow her to a park, and abuse her social position as Ladybug to publicly ridicule a girl she'd never met before in front of Adrien in hopes he'd never talk to her again, simply because Lila dared to talk to the boy Marinette had a crush on. This was all in Volpina, Lila's introduction episode. I know there are other examples of Marinette's jealousy in other episodes - with most never being called out by the narrative - but I'm trying to keep the focus on Marinette and Lila for this post.

Consequences and Blame(And why you shouldn't misplace them)
It's somewhat common knowledge in the Miraculous community that one of the "Rules" of the show is as follows: "Marinette always makes a mistake and learns a lesson... Even when she's not actually at fault."
This means that, no matter what she does or doesn't do, Marinette will always be blamed for the episode's problem, regardless of if she's actually at fault or not.
Many authors alleviate this issue by either having Marinette call out people for always blaming her for their problems or simply not having that stupid rule from the start. But I would like to propose an... Alternative take on it.
So lets turn back the clock in the Miracu-verse to when Marinette is but a smol child. She's smol, she's innocent, and... She's being blamed for literally everything wrong in the world and just cannot win no matter what she does.
Marinette hits a kid because they were being a jerk? She receives detention and told that she should've gone to a teacher.
So, next time it happens she does just that... And the teacher(Cough Bustier Cough) tells her to be a "Good Example" and the teacher doesn't do anything about the kid.
Seeing that the teacher was utterly useless, Marinette goes to her parents and... They just tell her to avoid the kid.
She tries, but then the kid seems hellbent on hunting her down and tormenting her. She tells her parents about this and... They don't do anything about the problem.
So, she changes tactics again, and again, and again... And no matter what she does either nothing changes or she gets punished for it.
Even worse, she starts getting blamed for things that simply aren't her fault or for situations she wasn't ever involved in. Kids blame her for pranks, adults blame her for "Acting out", both blame her for "Misbehaving".
No matter what she says, no matter what she does or doesn't do, it's always the same. She's the one to blame, she's the one whose wrong, she's the one to face consequences even when she doesn't deserve it, she's the one who always suffers.
After an entire year or two of this treatment, Marinette comes to a conclusion, that the universe was trying to teach her one, simple lesson.
Everyone will always blame her and say that she's in the wrong, so why bother trying to be right? If they want her to be a problem, then be the biggest problem ever.
And so, Marinette adapts her tactics once more, only this time it's towards being as much of a nuisance as possible, to cause as many problems as possible, to make everyone around her suffer as much as possible for always blaming her for everything!
And everyone very quickly comes to understand just how badly they fucked up by constantly antagonising the smartest and most creative kid in class.
Pranks, traps, and all sorts appear everywhere in the school seemingly overnight, so many that people can barely get into the building without getting splashed by water buckets or caught by net and rope traps.
Of course, everyone blames Marinette again, and her response is one they do not expect.
"Yes, it was me, unlike all of the previous times you blamed me for things I didn't do." She said, staring strait into their souls before walking away, but not before giving them one last ominous warning.
"And it's only going to get worse from here."
And it did get worse. So, so much worse.
Torn clothing, graffiti on houses, jumpscares from very well put-together costumes, Marinette put her creativity into overdrive in bullying everyone around her and getting payback, constantly finding new and more efficient ways to torment her classmates.
Naturally, her parents are informed of her behaviour and try to ground her, but Marinette, being Marinette, already planned for this outcome.
And so, she hung her head, put on a sad face, and went to her room like a good girl, pretending to be cowed by their scolding, leaving her parents satisfied with their "Success" in curbing their daughter's tendencies.
The next day, they woke up to find their daughter gone, several of her things missing, and the cash registers smashed to bits and raided of their loot, the front door left wide open.
Marinette had run away.
It shook them to their cores, to see their beloved daughter be so uncaring, but they made their stance clear. They weren't with their daughter, so Marinette would no longer be with them.
Living out on the streets was rough for Marinette, but nothing she couldn't adapt to, she was an intelligent fighter after all, so she quickly picked up good shelter spots, who and where to avoid, and generally just how to survive the Parisian streets.
She lived out on the streets for a few months before a familiar, yet unexpected face appeared before her.
"Dupain-Cheng?" Chloe Bourgeois asked(?) in surprise as she saw the blue-haired girl that used to ruthlessly torment their entire school.
"Oh, it's you. What do you want Bourgeois?" Marinette replied coldly, remembering how Chloe used to bully her before her "Vengeance" phase.
To Marinette's surprise Chloe's response wasn't one of malice and spite, but rather friendly delight as she told Marinette that she missed the now sorta-orphan girl's presence in class, complimenting and outright praising Marinette's tactics and planning capability.
It was... Unexpected, but nice. Nice to have someone compliment her, to be on her side, to not blame her for every wrongdoing in existence for no reason whatsoever.
And then, Chloe made an offer she wasn't expecting.
"Hey, why don't you come back? I can have daddy set you up a room in the hotel and we can hang out whenever we want!" She asked enthusiastically, surprising the bluenette.
Deciding to give it a shot, Marinette agreed. Worse case scenario she ended back up on the streets anyway, so she was willing to try it out.
Just this once.
And, much to her surprise, she's welcomed with open arms by Chloe's father who was happy that his daughter had another friend.
He might have been a corrupt official, but he still tries his best to be a good father dammit!
And thus, Marinette now had a cushy penthouse room in the best hotel in Paris. And better yet, she wasn't surrounded by people who blamed her for every problem they encounter!
Chloe, her father, Sabrina, they never told her she was wrong, they never told her that she was responsible for events outside of her control, they never told her to apologise for mistakes that don't exist!
To Marinette, it was paradise, and she will forever be grateful to Chloe for granting her this privilege.
She even eventually meets Adrien and finds him to be utterly delightful! He listens to her problems and tells her that the other people were the problem and that he's sorry she had to go through all that. It was wonderful.
She started crushing on Adrien after that, but refrained as he was Chloe's crush and Marinette was loyal to her friend and saviour. However she was completely unaware that she was Chloe's crush and the "Adrien Crush" was just a cover story for it because Chloe panicked and wasn't ready to confess just yet.
Eventually, Marinette returns to school, and her classroom. She sees some familiar faces, and some new ones, while others were missing. But that didn't matter to her.
What did matter was the recognition and utter fear she saw appear in their eyes as she entered the classroom with Chloe and Sabrina.
"Surprise bitches, bet you thought you saw the last of me!" She said with a downright feral grin, knowing that the next few years were going to be fun.
And so, Marinette goes back to screwing with her classmates, getting away with it completely thanks to Chloe's connections.
Though, she's a bit more lenient this time around. Not out of altruism, but just because she finds bullying her classmates to be a rather boring affair nowadays and just does it to keep them in line.
She still pranks them to remind them of how bad she used to be, but her Rage and utter Hatred has cooled off since then. She still holds a grudge, but now she only really unleashes her full fury on those who accuse her of a wrongdoing she didn't actually do.
And thus, this was how Marinette became Chloe's most useful enforcer, making sure all of their classmates don't get any funny ideas about trying to usurp Chloe position as Class Rep and ensuring their compliance with all of Chloe's commands.
This went on for a few years, until the Miraculous come into play...
(This is Part 1 of the idea, I'll make Part 2 once this post gets 100 Likes because I'm tired and need a break. Regardless, I hope you enjoyed)

Once again, i personally don't think of this as salt and more like a realistic(?) outcome. I don't really know how to put this into words but before Kagami and Marinette became friends she had harassed Kagami not wanting her to get close to Adrien (though in frozer she did leave her alone but only for that episode). So i was thinking about this from the perspective of a girl who doesn't even know who Marinette is and is suddenly being harassed by her
Tumblr media
Marinette had been watching Ella for a while now. She first noticed her when she and Adrien were talking and looked like they were really close. It's not surprising since they were both on the fencing team and actually had some things in common. Marinette however, had spiraled upon seeing them so close and feared he would be taken away from her, so she started coming up with plans to separate them. What Marinette didn't see was that everyone on the fencing team were close, not just Adrien and Ella. They spend months training together, having team meetings, and going to competitions together, it was natural that they would become close
Marinette tries many different ways to sabotage Ella, like messing with her gear so she couldn't go to practice or trying to mess up her clothes so she has to go home. Nothing she does works and really only seemed to slightly inconvenience her. As Marinette watches them practice she sees her and Adrien laughing, and not thinking, makes a desperate attempt to separate them. Marinette rolls something towards her so she can trip over it. What she doesn't expect is for Ella to lunge in that moment and step on the item. The item misplaces Ella's footing at an odd angle, twisting her ankle. Ella was on the ground holding her ankle in pain as the others rushed towards her
Marinette felt awful, she didn't mean for her to get hurt, she just wanted her away from Adrien. What Marinette didn't see was someone walking by in the moment she rolled the item towards Ella. They immediately called her out getting the attention of the team and their teacher. They explained that they saw Marinette roll the item towards Ella causing her to twist her ankle. Marinette avoided looking at Adrien, she couldn't stand the look of disbelief on his face. The teacher had told some of the students to take Ella to the nurse while they took Marinette to the principle's
She got a weeks worth of detention, but was made clear that she was lucky that Ella's parents didn't want to press charges. She knew that which is why she decided that she would make it up to Ella. She set out to the nurse's office and found Ella resting on one of the beds. When Ella saw her she got nervous but she wouldn't back down now. She apologized to her saying she never meant for her to get hurt and that she hopes they can be friends. Ella had looked at Marinette blankly before responding that she acknowledges her apology but doesn't forgive her. Before Marinette can respond Ella continues, asking why she would even do this when she doesn't even know her. Marinette stutters not knowing how to respond and not wanting to reveal that she did it out of jealousy. Ella only shakes her head and says that she doesn't want to be friends with her and wants nothing to do with her
After the incident with Marinette it quickly spread around the school what she had done. People whispered and gave her looks of suspicion wondering if they were next. Adrien had pulled away from her and didn't want much to do with her. He still couldn't believe that she would do something like that. Sure, she felt remorseful but only after she realized she really hurt Ella and not the other times where she tried to ruin her clothes. Adrien didn't know what to think anymore other than he really didn't know her as well as he thought

Controversial question: what was the worst salt fanfic you read and how are you feelings on the salt fic genre as a whole?
Because, I seen a few that are interesting. No offenese to the authors.
The worst salt fics are the ones that use other properties not to have fun or give worldbuilding but to criticize characters entirely with the second work being their mouthpieces. DC Comics is the worst example.

Enigma with a J: Chapter 1
𝕆𝕟𝕖 ℕ𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕊𝕥𝕒𝕟𝕕
This is a prompt by @sayuricorner. I’m sorry it took so long to get back to you, but I hope you like it!
The Riddler, or Edward Nygma, walked into a bar, his usual extravagant attire and infamous question mark insignia swapped for ripped black jeans and a tight button up shirt that showed his arm tattoos to full glory. An extensive collection of various flowers, skulls and swords decorated his biceps, along with a large snake along his left forearm. However, on his right forearm, a large question mark branded it, surrounded by hundreds of fingerprints in pale black ink. “Vodka. Straight.” he said to the bartender, who stood paralysed at the sight of him. He looked up, his emerald green eyes shimmering in a deathly promise. “Do I need to repeat myself?” The bartender quickly shook his head and ran to the back, grabbing his drink in a minute, tops. He nodded gruffly and took a large swig, almost drowning half the glass. Smacking his lips together, he smirked and put his legs up on the table as everyone hesitantly went back to their casual conversation. Suddenly, a girl placed a hand on his thigh. “How are you doing?” she purred, looking him in the eye as she did so. Edward’s eyes peaked with interest. Either the girl was too naive to know who he was or too drunk to care. “Just fine m’lady.” he said in a deep voice, and the girl moved her hand to his inner thigh, smirking even more. “Really? Because you look like you’re in need of a good time~” she said insistently, and the Riddler shrugged, as if to say, why not. "What's your name?" she asked, her voice barely a murmur in the dimly lit room.
"Why, it's a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma," he replied with a playful smile. He leaned closer, his green eyes piercing through the shadows.
The girl, young and unassuming, laughed nervously. "Come on, really?"
"Alright, let's just say I enjoy puzzles," he conceded, his smile growing wider. "What's yours?"
Her heart raced as she whispered, "Call me...yours." She didn't know why she didn’t just answer, but something about him made her feel like she needed to protect herself. They had met at the Gotham City nightclub, a place where the music was loud and the lights were low, and secrets were as plentiful as the drinks, but had left and arrived at a shady apartment in the many nooks and crannies the city was so desperate to hide. She had been swept away by his charm, his wit, and the thrill of the unknown. Now, in the quiet of the apartment, she wished she knew more about the man who had captured her attention so completely as he took off his shirt, and hers alongside it. As he pulled her into the sheets, and made her adrenaline rush like it had never been before. As she felt like she was drowning and floating at the same time when she finally drifted off into a deep sleep.
The next morning, Ivy woke to the harsh light of day filtering through the blinds. She sat up with a start, her eyes scanning the unfamiliar room. It was small and compact, but you couldn’t say it didn’t look elegant. It had a way, she determined as she examined the neat double bed in the centre of the one room, a small kitchen in the corner and a large TV in front, a way that made it look larger than it really was. As her eyes analysed the room, they landed back on the man in front of her. She smiled at his sleeping face and his arms draped over his head, his hair a mess on his eyes. As her hands moved it away, her gaze caught a tattoo on his forearm. Furrowing her brow in confusion, she examined his arm more closely. Then she saw it—the question mark insignia on the man's forearm, stark against his pale skin. The realization hit her like a freight train, her eyes widening as she almost choked. She had spent the night with The Riddler, Gotham's infamous trickster and nemesis of the Dark Knight. Panic flooded her veins as she threw on her clothes and bolted out the door without a backward glance.
Three weeks later, Ivy faced an even bigger shock than her fateful encounter with the enigmatic villain. Two pink lines stared back at her from the pregnancy test. The world seemed to tilt on its axis as she tried to process the gravity of her situation. The Riddler, a father? Her mind reeled at the thought.
Torn between fear and wonder, she made her decision. She couldn't abort the child—not after seeing the look of innocence in her own mother's eyes when she had been born. But she couldn't keep the baby either. Not with the kind of life she had. So, she waited until the day came, the day she knew she had to let go.
The night was cold and unforgiving as she placed the tiny bundle wrapped in a soft, pink blanket into the alleyway. She whispered a silent prayer to any deity that might be listening before walking away, her heart aching with every step. Little did she know, her decision would set in motion a chain of events that would forever link her to the caped crusader's world, a world of shadows and riddles, where her baby girl would one day play a part she could never have imagined.

Akuma Class Sugar Prompt
Did you know ladybugs will cuddle together during winter to keep warm?
What if this translated into Marinette being super cuddley with people. None of it is ever romantic or inappropriate, but Marinette is just often seen cuddling with her classmates. Like, when they're working on homework Marinette will lay against Alya's shoulder, or throw her legs over Nino's as they listen to music. She'll be looking through magazines with Juleka while both girls are sprawled over Luka's lap and Rose plays with their hair. After a long rehearsal of some project sometimes you can find her and Mylene snuggled up together, using Ivan's back as a pillow while he huffs fondly at them, or she'll lay over Nathaniel's and Marc's shoulders as they discuss character designs.
Obviously there are people she's not comfortable cuddling with, like Lila or Chloe, but everyone else is free game.
And when Marinette finally gets comfortable enough to cuddle against Adrien one sleep morning, the look on his face just screams: "I am the chosen one!" And he feels so smug about it because finally it's his turn!

Just had an idea but its mainly Lila Salt & Lila Exposed...
I don't mind if anyone makes this though. But also tagged me once you are done. Make sure its your own words not someone else. I rather read people's other version when making this prompt or fic if you decide to make it.
What if those past crimes that Lila has done came back? As the past victims of Lila begin to tell their story in a blog where Marinette had found it but also told them her story how she met Lila and how she ruined her life after she told her classmates but got backfired.
Then adults like Nadja also found the blog and was honorally horrified at what her goddaughter Marinette when she explain when she met Lila but was now pissed decided to what journalists had to do but also ask Tom and Sabine to help behind the scenes so that their daughter can be happy away from those toxic classmates.

Sower of Discord Within the Miracle
An alternate universe I made to better use the idea of Lila turning everyone against Marinette and the heroes in general.
What if Master Fu passed more Miraculous besides the Ladybug and Black Cat out from the get-go? What if Hawkmoth needs someone to help him deal with the team since his Akumas can't handle all of them?
Basically, Hawkmoth is having a much more difficult time trying to get the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous because Master Fu is passing out more Miraculous at the beginning. The other holders are told how important it is to keep the wielders of the Ladybug and Black Cat safe against Hawkmoth by their Kwami and try to carry out that task.
Eventually, Hawkmoth realizes he needs some kind of outside help if he wants to even get close to stealing the Miraculous. Que Lila. When she comes in with a grudge against Ladybug, Hawkmoth sees his chance.
You can have him risk using the Peacock Miraculous to create a Sentimonster that replicates the abilities of a Kwami to make a fake Miraculous for Lila to wield. Maybe he makes a fake Ladybug Miraculous or it can be a completely different animal and concept.
Anyway, Lila's job is to sow discord among the Miraculous users to turn them against each other, learn their identities, and steal their Miraculous. Maybe she and Hawkmoth can even get Chloe in on it by giving her a stolen or fake Miraculous like the one Lila wields.

Marinette Salt Prompt: Good (Guardians) [Are] not Nice
Ayyyy Master Fu Redemption lets goooooo
Post by yours truly ;)
Despite his reluctance to meet up with his chosen heroes (mainly out of fear for the safety of the Miracle Box), Wang Fu still did all he could to keep an eye on Marinette and Adrien, content to let the two of them grow on their own and send any important advice to their Kwami's. Though he knew from first-hand experience that nobody was perfect, he was initially sure that both of them would grow into their own ideal selves.
However, that did not mean he did not spot problems.
For Adrien, there were some issues here and there as documented by Plagg. The Copycat issue showed Adrien's jealousy of anyone infatuated with Ladybug, and despite their mostly friendly relationship, he seemed to be way to obsessed with his parter (though Fu mused this could be due to a lack of friendships as he would later learn more about the blonde).
However, the main source of problems he found came from Marinette.
The first time he had received a report from Tikki, the Bubbler had taken much longer to defeat due to Ladybug being side-tracked with wanting a dance with Adrien. However, since the akuma was eventually defeated, Fu was content to let the situation just be a simple lesson for the young girl and let it go.
The second time, Marinette had lost Tikki during the appearance of Princess Fragrance. Though worried about the possibility of somebody recognising Tikki in the future, Fu had chalked it up to simply being a bad mistake, and since no harm came from it, Fu had let it go as well.
However, those doubts soon began to grew as more information came in. During their weekly meetings together, Tikki talked with Fu about Marinette's growing obsession with Adrien (despite her belief that Marinette could be the most creative Ladybug she had yet). Though Tikki had plenty to say positively about Marinette, Fu felt as though there was an equal amount of negatives as well the more Tikki talked.
Sure, Adrien had issues, but Plagg mostly had a positive outlook on him, with most of his issues relating to his isolation and self-doubt (which in turned played to his own mild but equally concerning obsession with Ladybug). It could've been likely that Plagg was biased (ESPECIALLY with all the camembert he could eat thanks to his wielder's wealth), but Fu trusted Plagg's judgement as (cheese aside), he was often highly responsible, dutiful and resourceful when the situation called for it.
However, despite his growing concern with Marinette, Fu trusted Tikki's assurances that Marinette was an excellent Ladybug. That is, until one fateful akuma.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Fu had coincidentally gone to the Eiffel Tower to enjoy the view of the city and take some time off his job at his massage parlour. It was coincidentally the same day that Volpina was akumatised, leading to the bizarre situation where Fu saw the akuma holding Adrien as Ladybug and Chat Noir looked on, one with concern and the other with determination.
Fu was not sure how the akuma worked, but given that Chat Noir was here, it was likely either a duplicate of Adrien or an illusion. As the akuma demanded their miraculouses in exchange for Adrien's life, Fu was sure that the heroes could look through Volpina's deception and save the day.
However, the complete opposite had almost happened. Ladybug had immediately given in as she saw Volpina's grip slack on Adrien, reaching to take off her earrings despite the fact she was still on the side of the tower and could likely fall. It was ironically thanks to Chat Noir's quick thinking that he was able to dispell the illusion, allowing the fight to continue.
As the heroes raced up the side of the tower, Fu was left horrified by what he had just saw. While he was grateful that Chat Noir was able to diffuse the situation, his concern was mainly on the idea that Ladybug was willing to surrender her miraculous so easily. Sure, she had not KNOWN that Adrien was her partner, but Fu was confident that she could have catched him had he been real, considering that she did the same with that Chloe girl back when she first started out as a hero. Not to mention that they had likely realised that Volpina's ability was illusion creation, it would have been easy to test out whether or not Adrien was indeed real, as Chat Noir himself had shown.
Had this been a one time thing, Fu would have brushed it off as Marinette being overwhelmed. However, with all the news he had learned about Marinette thus far, Fu could no longer bank on the idea that this was just a beginner issue. Despite his aprehension at doing so (especially with the partner ship between her and Chat Noir), Master Fu knew what he had to do.
As Ladybug headed down to detransform, Master Fu transformed and became the Jade Turtle. Just before she detransformed back, Master Fu rushed her from behind and knocked her out. Checking to see that she wasn't injured (as the suit protected them from significant damage), Fu grimaced and removed the earrings from her, causing her to transform back into Marinette. At Tikki's appearance, she directed Fu to the Grimoire despite her disappointment at his decision.
By the time Marinette had woke up, she found herself with no miraculous and no grimoire, save for a single letter. Shakily grabbing it, she read the message it contained.
Dear Marinette
I will keep this brief. I am the Guardian of the Miraculous. I was the one who gave you the earrings. I was confident you would make an excellent holder. However, based on what I have seen and heard, especially your actions with the akuma known as Volpina, I feel this is no longer the case. I am sorry for hurting you, but I must keep the miraculouses safe. You are removed as Ladybug.
There will be no futher communication.
There was no name or signature, save for a symbol.
Marinette was left hurt by this. A part of her was tempted to go after this so called Guardian and get her miraculous back. She was the one working to save Paris! She was the hero!
But as her rational side won out, Marinette realised her helplessness in the situation. Her miraculous was gone along with Tikki, and without her powers she was just a normal girl. The grimoire was gone too, so she couldn't try and set up any sort of ambush or figure out who the Guardian was. Ironically, Marinette realised had she listened to Tikki and not gone after Lila, Tikki would have likely have led her to them.
But Tikki was gone now. As well as her chances of finding the Guardian. She had lost.
Dejected and defeated, Marinette walked home miserable, unaware that a certain Hawkmoth could sense her distress.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
An hour after Volpina was defeated, Plagg got a secret message from an unknown, yet familiar source. Listening to Plagg, Adrien transformed to Chat Noir and went to the location, transforming back in an alleyway near the building.
Arriving at a massage parlour, Adrien confusingly attempted knocked on the door, but it opened up before her could.
Walking inside, Adrien came face to face with an old man sitting on the floor. The man gave Adrien a smile.
"Hello, Chat Noir. It is nice to meet you at last."
Adrien joined him on the floor.
"Nice to meet you too I guess. How did you know my secret identity?"
The short man smiled. "I am the Master Wang Fu, Guardian of the Miraculous. I believe we had met before."
Adrien suddenly realised why he looked familiar. "You were the old man I helped all those months ago when I first came to school".
At this, Fu's smiled widened. "Indeed. I would like to apologise for distracting you from entering the school, but I was looking for someone who had the kindness and empathy needed to become a hero. I am glad to say that my trust in you was not misplaced."
His smile soon fell after a moment. "I would like to say that this should be a positive moment. Your fight against the supervillain known as Volpina proved that you have the instinct necassary to see through the deception of villainy. You have become an excellent Chat Noir. However, your fight with the supervillain today has also shown my concerns with another."
"Another? What do you mea-" Adrien was about to ask, but went quiet as Fu opened one of his closed hand to reveal a pair of earrings.
A VERY familiar pair of earrings.
Master Fu's face was grim as he looked again at Adrien, his voice filling with regret.
"I am afraid.... that Ladybug was not an excellent choice for a hero."

Writing Prompt: Evil Teacher AU
Bustier is a supervillain. She has been this entire time and has used her position as a teacher and now mayor to weaken Paris structurally and morally so that she cannot be stopped when her plan goes into action. Ladybug and Chat noir have learned the truth but no one is willing to believe them because of the subtle brainwashing she's used to instill feelings of adoration in the population

Prompt
Here's another prompt I just came up with.
Lila does her usual bullshit spreading. Marinette's not present (she's either sick or left early because she was just fed up). Adrien is (much to his chagrin) present because every time he tries to leave, Lila manages to rope him back in, and he's too nice to shoot her down (plus, she keeps threatening to go back on her deal).
Until Lie-la says a lie too big for Adrien to stand. Something he can tell is a blatant attempt to hurt Marinette. See, the "high road" thing was because he thought her lies were harmless - but this lie will hurt Marinette if their classmates (or worse, someone outside their class) believes it. So, he interrupts it.
"What did you just say?" he says, anger starting to bubble.
Lila, somehow noting something's going wrong, tries to placate with platitudes that might have worked somewhen - but this time Adrien Agreste is too far gone to care and just... snaps.
"No, no, no, don't try to beat around the bush, Rossi. What. THE FUCK. Did you just say?"
Everyone's shocked - Adrien, their sunshine boy, not only being angry, but dropping an Atomic F-Bomb?
Either he is Akumatized, or there's something rotten in the state of Denmark.
And Adrien gives Lila a feline smile - the kind you'd find in a lion about to eat your innards - and tells her she's going to regret it. Mic drop. Adrien leaves school - finally - goes to Marinette's, and tells her "Remember the 'high road' thing I told you? Then forget it, because Rossi's going to fall, whatever it takes."

I thought of this when i was re watching Animaestro. I don't know if this would count as salt because i see it more as consequences to your actions but it could definitely turn into a salt fic if you wanted it to by having her not learn from her mistakes
Tumblr media
It starts off at another event Marinette's parents are catering for and Marinette joined because Adrien would be there. She tries to work up the courage to go up to him while handing out food to guests until she sees a girl with him. Adrien and this girl have been friends for a long time and even modeled together. Marinette sees them laughing and having a fun time and spirals thinking of absurd scenarios where they get married and have a life together. So, she comes up with a plan to sabotage the girl and get her away from Adrien
While Marinette is running around mumbling to herself and setting her plan in motion she doesn't realize that some of the people around her start looking at her weirdly. From their point of view they see a girl mumbling about something to do with a boy and getting married while she runs around doing something. No one thinks anything of it since she's part of the catering and just think what she's doing has to do with that. Unfortunately for Marinette her plan went wrong, very wrong
When acting out her plan she accidently knocked a lighting fixture from the ceiling loose. The lighting comes swinging down towards the girl and Adrien. Fortunately for them Adrien pushed them down and out of the way. The girl behind them though wasn't so lucky and the lighting hit her full force. The reaction was immediate, everyone was shocked and in uproar. Her parents rushed to her while some calmed the other guests, the last thing they needed right now was an akuma. She was unconscious and bleeding from her head so they called an ambulance. Marinette was horrified, she never meant for any of this to happen
After the ambulance arrived and rushed her to the hospital it was clear that the event was over. However the situation was far from over, the girls parents wanted to sue the people hosting the event at such dangerous place. But they claim that everything was thoroughly checked before and through out the event and nothing was wrong. They look through the security camera to see when it was last checked and to see what went wrong. What they saw on the camera after the last check was Marinette rushing around planting things and knocking into the light fixture
With that the girls parents immediately set their sights on the Dupain Chengs. At first they deny saying that their daughter would never do something like that, until they're shown the security footage. Marinette was called down from her room to explain what she had been doing. She confesses that she was trying to sabotage the girl with Adrien but that it was harmless things like getting food stuck to the bottom of her shoes or ruining her dress, it was an accident that she knocked into the the lighting and she never meant to hurt anyone. Unfortunately her intent didn't matter nor how sorry she was, she still did it even if by accident and a girl is in the hospital seriously injured

Fic Prompt!
I know! I’m writing like 3 fics at once, and don’t worry, I am writing everyone’s requests as well, but I had this idea that I had to show. It’s based on a couple of mini stories of Lila’s past experiences in other schools before she met Marinette, and a glimpse of Lila before she was a corrupted liar and her story on how she became one! Let me know what you think!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lila Rossi’s life blew up in her face as her parents filed for divorce. Her mother officially became a diplomat, which meant she never stayed in one place for a very long time. But moving all the time showed her that ultimately, all humans were the same. They were all so good, so righteous and loyal, until someone came up to them and told them what they wanted to hear. So, in her eyes, she saw the perfect plan to get whatever she wanted: lie. Tell people what they wanted to hear, even if what she said wasn’t necessarily true. It was almost comical how those who claimed to be the kindest were the first to abandon their friends as soon as something better came along. So many different schools; so many different lies; but the outcome was always the same. Become the most popular by telling people what they want to hear, and destroy anyone who comes in her way. However, she wasn’t always like this. There was one school, one class and one boy that had made the world less of the hellish mess as her parents divorced. But that one perfect piece was destroyed by one betrayal, and that one betrayal changed her life.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Should I ship Lila with an OC or someone we already know, and should it be a series of related one shots or a cohesive story? Tell me your thoughts and as always, have a great day ❤️!
