LOA IS A CULT. Everyone Including myself and those who are familiar with it, know it’s a cult! I know everyone lies for attention or to live in the end because I used to be a big blogger myself. I won't reveal who I was, but I saw firsthand how these bloggers, claiming to be friends in real life, are actually deceiving everyone—they're all liars. Behind the scenes, they're working regular jobs while curating content from friends and family to share as their own as proof. Many of them have multiple accounts and blogs to give the illusion of authenticity. If you don't believe me, create a fake account and replicate the process—fabricate a success story, and watch as bloggers emerge from the shadows seeking help. Most of them have disappeared now... I wonder why that is, lol. It's time to open your eyes to the reality behind these façades and question the true motives driving this deceitful tumblr .
Despite the presence of manifestors, witches, and astrologists manifesting against Donald Trump in the world it's amusing to see that he still emerged victorious and by a whole lot!!!
It's worth noting that among the founders of the law of assumption and the void state on platforms like Tumblr, inconsistencies and inaccuracies have surfaced in their stories over time – there seems to be a trend of untruthfulness, among them (it might be interesting for you to verify this observation by checking out posts from your favorite bloggers, especially the newer ones; I've taken a look and it appears they're all just making their posts using GPT !
"Persist with belief"; A call to continue holding onto faith and dedication similar, to how spiritual groups encourage their followers to stay steadfast in their beliefs.
“Embrace the mysterious without needing evidence." This mindset echoes the inclination towards accepting the unknown and intangible elements of existence often upheld by certain groups that prioritize faith in the unseen, over concrete proof.
Echoing the cults claims of enlightenment or salvation, without tangible evidence but guaranteeing miraculous transformations assures me of its validity.
Despite the uncovering of deceit and dishonesty by individuals within a system built on mistruth; trust and belief persist unshaken. Mirroring the resilience shown by groups, in the face of revealed falsehood.
"When someone blindly follows something or someone else – it's, like trusting without proof of why or how things work out in the end."
“Discover the truth within yourself”. Encouraging the exploration of truths and insights through belief in something greater; a familiar motif, in spiritual practices.
Encouraging connection, with the energy of the universe is a spiritual idea that highlights the importance of harmonizing with greater forces beyond our sight.
"Fulfill your destiny"; The concept of shaping your own future through faith alone is frequently referenced in spiritual communities as a means to claim authority, over your own life path.
“Rise above the boundaries of the realm " suggesting the possibility of surpassing earthly restrictions through belief in something greater; mirroring stories of spiritual groups seeking elevated levels of existence.
Calling upon the power of the Encouraging believers to tap into mystical powers is a common theme, in teachings of spiritual groups that offer promises of special intervention or extraordinary abilities.
These instances provide insight into the use of language, with spiritual cult like tendencies that focus on faith and commitments that extend beyond tangible proof.
Please, there are bloggers out there sharing and telling us to save Palestine, claiming you can manifest a trillion dollars out of thin air, yet they can't manifest an end to war or even a simple solution. They say you can't control other people, yet they talk about manifesting specific people,, changing your family completely, or even your own race. You all were claiming you were manifesting Harris. I thought manifestation never fails, loool. "Oh, just persist, it will reflect like Neville leaving the war," they say, but all Neville managed could very well fall under the coincidence category, just like healing a burned hand, hahahahah. It's baffling that people are wasting their lives on something they know deep down is false. For the children in this community, just stick to a routine, focus on school and work, and foster your own life. While doing so, perhaps listen to subliminals, but don't rely on these vicious lies. Your time and energy are too precious to be spent on such unfounded claims.
Before you start getting defensive in my comments, take a moment to think and tell me how long you've been manifesting. How long have you been persisting in this process? Share in the comments first, and reflect on how little has actually changed. When you ask questions of these bloggers, why do they always seem to victim blame you instead of providing real answers? They claim to love and care about you so much, yet they charge for subliminals and can't manifest even simple things like you entering the void state. They won't manifest for your mental health desires, despite all the supposedly enlightening infographics they share. They talk about being able to shift reality and consciousness, yet they can't offer real help. Isn't this just typical cult behavior? It's time to question the authenticity of these practices and recognize the inconsistencies.
Some of these bloggers are in their 20s and live on disability, which gives them both the time and money to spread misinformation and false hopes. If you're young and still have potential, please make wise choices. Some aspects of spirituality are indeed real, and manifesting can be a genuine practice, but remember there's a reason why 99% of these bloggers are deceitful. They all eventually leave before their lies catch up with them. It's a disgrace that they pretend to help you in their DMs while knowing you're struggling with issues like poverty and abuse. I truly hope things improve for you, but don't rely on this cult-like mentality.
Critics might come into the comments and claim you just have doubts, but that's not the case. Once I left the Law of Assumption and started genuinely working, studying, and ensuring my grades were satisfactory, my life changed. I got a boyfriend, landed my dream job, and even took steps towards my desired appearance with a nose job. These achievements didn’t just materialize from thin air; they came from hard work. I accomplished more in three months after leaving the cult than some do in five years. I know people who've been in this community for a decade—when will they wake up to reality? That nagging feeling of doubt is actually common sense trying to prevent you from ruining your life.
How many times are you going to think, "I can't tolerate my life; I'm just going to shift," before it becomes unbearable and you realize you're stuck? How many liars need to be exposed? How many times do people have to be scammed before they see the truth? The so-called void masters aren’t helping; if they could truly access the void, they'd expose the liars. But then they’d have to admit they're lying too, and that no one has achieved these creative writing promises. It's all for attention and affirming to manifest is not a magic solution.
Let's be real here—your favorite bloggers allowed the Turing administration to achieve a landslide victory, with the court gone, the Senate gone, the House gone, and the residence done. Project 2025 is in motion, but sure, everyone’s supposed to be GOD, right? You people are worse than religious fanatics. I secured my visa because I knew otherwise, I'd be stuck here; you can't rely on the fake law of assumption. Go ask your bloggers why Trump won, and they'll just tell you to persist or claim it's all an illusion. Seriously? We'll see how much of an illusion it is once Palestine is wiped off the map, and all these so-called void masters can do is make a note to ignore the 3D world, loool. It's absurd that they think such real-world issues can simply be brushed aside with wishful thinking. Time to question these beliefs and face reality.
This message isn't directed at the older members of this cult because, at this point, only you can wake yourself up. But to the younger ones, please focus on building your life in the actual world. It's very real, and your suffering will only worsen if you keep clinging to false hopes.
To all the bloggers who know they're spreading lies, go ahead and manifest that my post gets deleted. I apologize for even considering that some of you revise events where people have literally died. Try revising this post or imagine me apologizing. It's time to stop spreading deceit and start facing the truth. Your actions have consequences, and it's crucial to start acknowledging the reality of the world we live in.
Even those who claim to manifest outside of time are no different—they're all selling courses for hundreds of dollars each month, with packages reaching into the thousands. It's ironic, isn't it? They preach about manifesting abundance yet charge exorbitant fees for their wisdom. Just think about it for a moment: if they could truly manifest unlimited wealth and success, why would they need to profit off of your hard-earned money? The truth is, their business model depends on your belief in their promises, and they capitalize on that by offering overpriced courses that are often filled with recycled content. This practice raises questions about the authenticity of their teachings and whether they genuinely have your best interests at heart.
The feeling you’re having is your body and mind trying to tell you there's truth in what I'm saying. It's like they're working to save you from falling into the trap of delusions. You are caught up in loa and you’re actually caught up in their own illusions. Many of these successful loa folks outside of tumblr grew up in wealthy families, living good lives, and got richer with a mix of luck and hard work. That's why so much of this community feels ridiculous; it's mostly made up of kids chasing dreams and adults spinning lies or looking for attention because they have too much free time.
Society keeps these cycles going, making it easy to fool ourselves. The temptation of quick success and promises of an easy life are hard to resist, especially for those always surrounded by comfort and now searching for something deeper than just money. For some, the LOA community seems like a beacon of hope and purpose. But it's important to see that while some find value, others get caught in a loop of broken promises, clinging to the idea that just thinking positively will bring success without real effort.
This way of thinking can will you ppl away from reality, you’re following and worshipping people seeking likes and attention takes the place of real achievements. LOA IS A CULT. Please wake up

Rating Miraculous Super Names Based on Their Creativity
(Not based on whether I like them or think they’re catchy—just creativity. Personally, I like/love most of the characters and their names (and really wouldn’t change them at all), so that’s not going to color my thoughts on them, really. Also, I will talk about cultures and languages in this post and I’m not making any comments about them themselves or anything like that—just the creativity of the characters that may *have* said cultures and languages—using the knowledge of them I know or looked up. This post is also both slightly serious and very much not at the same time, lol)
Ladybug: Marinette had several little pet-names in the Origins episode; Wonder-Bug (my personal fav), Bug-Lady, and Clumsy-Girl, and she took the one thought of “well, Tikki said I get magical ladybugs to fix everything and I have a red and black motif, so I’ll call myself Ladybug” (while Alya took the same information and made the most complex names known in existence 😆). I’d say, about 4-4.5 out of 10 for her main super name; it’s not the most creative, but it’s not the worst on this list, lolol.
For her other names:
Ladynoire: (They both named each other for the Kwami-swap if you watch the episode, so those two names are really a judgement on the other person’s creativity, lol). Adrien mushed both his own super name and Ladybug’s super name together and recreated their ship name, basically. Eh, I’d say probably maybe a solid 6 out of 10? More creative, but he could’ve just read all their in-universe fans’ discourse and gave their ship name to her, which would fit with his crush on her 😆.
Multi-Mouse: 6.5? She used the fact that she used *multiple* miraculous *multiple* times and that she was a mouse for her name.
Her other names are basically just putting other miraculous or power-ups with the name ‘Ladybug’: soooo…3? 4?
Cat Noir: for him, it depends on which of the two main dubs you watch; if you watch the English dub, Adrien went, “well, two of the languages I’m most fluent in is English and French, and I am a black cat, so I’ll honor both languages and call myself Cat Noir”, which is slightly more creative. But if you use the French dub version of his name, Chat Noir, it sounds like he just went “I’m a black cat…I’ll just call myself ‘Black Cat’”—which *is* an actual character in other superhero media (The Black Cat in Marvel Comics)— but he’s not even *the* black cat, he’s only ‘Black Cat’ 😆. So my vote is English dub = 4.5, French dub = 4.
Mr. Bug: Marinette took her base name and gave him the male prefix instead, which, okay, it does work and she brought something else to the table; but if I’m being honest, we could’ve gotten the name ‘Lord Bug’, and that would’ve been funny, lol (jk). 6-6.5 out of 10.
Cat Walker: 9.5-10. Yes, I rate this as one of the highest (if not the highest) in this list—here’s why; he’s acting more like his ‘perfect Adrien’ golden boy model persona, a.k.a. he’s putting on a show, and his name is a play on the word ‘Cat Walk’…which is all three, a way to walk on the runway, the runway itself, and an elevated bridge walked on above a stage for behind-the-scenes work. All that meaning in his name AND it’s a pun??? Absolute freaking amazing job, Adrien; you rocked it!
His other names are again, pretty much just putting his main super name with the various other miraculous and power ups: so again, 3? 4? EXCEPT for his ice power-up which is called ‘Ice Noir’, which translates to ‘Black Ice’ which is a dangerous type of ice and fits into his destruction motif, so that one gets a bit more; I’d say about 6 out of 10.
Rena Rouge; depending on what you take it as, it’s either a play on the words “red fox” in French (Renard Rouge)—it’s creative because it’s a *play* on the words, not the actual words themselves—or Alya used her both her Creole roots and French language as inspiration and used the Creole word for ‘fox’ (Rena) and French word for ‘red’ (Rouge). First possibility: 5, second: 6-6.5
Carapace: Nino used his knowledge of turtles and his super ability of protecting people as inspiration for his name—Carapace, which is the word for a turtle’s shell. Ehh, 5?
Queen Bee: Chloe used both the animal super she is and her status as inspiration for her name—plus it’s also a pun, which makes it even more fun. She’s a bee, she’s the popular girl in school (a.k.a. a ‘queen bee’ in school), it fits her personality, and she ran with it. A solid 7, maybe
Hawkmoth: I mean, he’s not very creative here—but at least Gabriel chose a *type* of moth to use as a name…why he chose a *moth* name in the first place when he’s a *butterfly* is another thing, tho, lolol! But I did read that Hawk Moths are known for their fast flying, so I guess that works for the Akumas. If it was a contest for catchy, I’d give it a higher rating, but for creativity? Less than our main heroes: 3. I wouldn’t give him a ton because he’s a butterfly instead of a moth, but he did choose a fitting type so…
Bunnyx: Alix literally just put an ‘X’ after the word ‘bunny’; she gets, like, a 1 😂.
Caprikid: Nathaniel used him being a goat-inspired superhero, the goat horoscope, the fact he is a kid, and the fact that goat children are called ‘kids’ put together to make his name. Pretty awesome, actually. 7-8? It just fits very well.
King Monkey: I gotta admit, I wasn’t gonna give Kim a very high score ‘cause I thought he was basically just the miraculous version of Donkey Kong, lolol; but I looked him up on Miraculous Wiki, and it says his name was inspired by an ancient Chinese legend and the novel has been adapted into a show called “Monkey Magic”, which is kind of a pretty cool fitting-sounding reference. So if Kim actually thought it through like that, 7-7.5? But knowing Kim, and if he just went, “dude, imma be like Donkey Kong! What sounds like Donkey Kong???….. King Monkey!”, then I’m only gonna give him like a 3-3.5 as well 😆.
Viperion: Luka did alright; not amazing, but it fits. ‘Viper’, a type of snake, for a snake-themed hero. 4-4.5?
Purple Tigress: …all Juleka did was was describe herself 😆. But she did do better than Alix, so I’ll give her a 2, lolol!
Miss Hound: I feel like Sabrina is in the group of heroes who went really literal, but still tried, so I’ll give her the same rating—4-4.5.
Minotaurox: Ivan used the animal words Minotaur and Ox, and put them together; an ox is, well, an ox, and a Minotaur is a tough creature from Greek mythology that is half-man and half-bull, so it does have some coolness to it. 7-7.5
Pegasus: Max did use a cool figure for his name, but he only used the fact that he was a horse and the very well known figure of Pegasus together for his name. Don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty cool, but after some of the other names on this list, and how some of them fit together; I feel like it’s just not *as* creative of a name. I think I’ll give him maybe a 5?
Polymouse: Mylene used the word ‘poly’ which means ‘many’ and mouse, so I’ll give her the same as I gave Multimouse, since they’re very similar—6.5
Ryuko: I didn’t know what this meant until I looked it up on Miraculous Wiki, and it says that while it can have many meanings in Japanese; it’s most likely that it means “child of the dragon”, and that just sounds cool as heck. To me, it sounds like Kagami pushed the ‘having a pun or fitting mythological/cultural figure as part of the name’ thing to the side and just made up a cool-sounding name on her own, which is pretty cool and creative! 8? 8.5?
Pigella: I feel like Rose just put a feminine suffix to the word ‘pig’, which…doesn’t seem as creative. To be fair to her, I don’t think it’s very easy to make a cool, creative sounding name incorporating the word *pig* into it. It does sound like she tried, and the flair she put at the end does fit her personality, so I’ll give her a little more credit. 5?
Rooster Bold: Marc tried, like Rose, but…. It doesn’t feel like a creative name; just his animal and what he becomes after being a hero. 3, maybe?
GUYS, I did NOT know what ‘Argos’ meant, so I looked it up on regular Wikipedia, and it’s a ship from Greek Mythology that carried the Argonauts on their quest to get the Golden Fleece and that, quote, “some sources state that since people had not seen a ship before, they described the Argo as a monster”, unquote!! 😭😭😂😂😂 Does that NOT sound like Felix? Okay, that’s it; Felix wins this whole thing!! Cat Walker was a good second, but, sorry Adrien! Your dramatic and showman cousin wins the competition! He gets an 11 out of 10.
……I absolutely love how half of these characters just literally used their animal names as 3/4’s of their super name, and then there’s freaking Felix who uses his entire backstory/character arc as a super name 😂. It really shows the range of the show, fr fr!
P.S. I realized I forgot about Mayura and Vesperia.
I looked it up and Reddit says that ‘Mayura’ means ‘peacock’, so…4.5-5?
Miraculous Wiki says that Vesperia’s name is derived from the Italian word ‘Vespa’, which means ‘wasp’, so her name means the female wasp. Sounds kinda cool and she added specificity to her animal, so 6?

Lol remember the early days when there was an about-even split between people who thought that Gabriel would be Hawkmoth and people who thought Alim Kubdel would be Hawkmoth? Good times, good times. Speaking of Alix’s dad, how would you have had the show pan out with him being Hawkmoth instead?
I wasn't around to see it in real time, but I browse fanfics in rough chronological order starting from the beginning of a fandom, so I'm aware that this theory was a thing because I've read a good portion of the fics that were written pre Origins. (AO3 has a last update filter if you want to pair down your options for a less overwhelming selection or just enjoy fics from before certain plot points came to be.)
While I'm aware of the theory, I'm a little confused as to where it came from. Alim only has two brief appearances in season one. The first is from the start of The Pharaoh. In it, we see Alim telling Jalil that historical artifacts are not meant for testing crackpot theories:
Mr. Kubdel: Jalil, these types of frescoes are almost always the illustration of a legend. They called it a legend for a reason... Jalil: That's what everyone thinks. But I know it's real. I can prove it! Mr. Kubdel: Really? And exactly how are you going to prove it? Jalil: I just need to get my hands on Tutankhamun's scepter and recite the spell! Mr. Kubdel: Are you serious? Don't even think of touching that scepter. I'd lose my job on the spot. It's a priceless historical object! Not a toy! Jalil: Come on, dad! We have to try out the spell! What if Tutankhamun had found out how to bring people back to life? Mr. Kubdel: Listen, Jalil! That's enough! Get your head out of those papyrus scrolls and focus on the real world! This one! (leaves)
And his other appearance is from the start of Timebreaker. In it, Alim gives Alix the watch that is later revealed to be her miraculous:
Alix: They're Marinette's parents. You know, one of the chicks I hang out with? Mr. Kubdel: Yes, I remember. They make the best bread in the whole of Paris. (he notices one of Alix's sneakers) Couldn't you have made more of an effort to dress nicely? Alix: What do you mean? I took off my cap. (points to her cap) Mr. Kubdel: But this is a special day. Alix: Well, it's only a birthday. Mr. Kubdel: No, this is a special birthday (reaches inside his jacket pocket and brings out a watch) This family heirloom was made by one of our ancestors many, many years ago. It's been passed down from one generation to the next, on their 15th birthday. And today, it's your turn to inherit it. Alix: It's pretty sweet, dad. But I've already got a watch, synced up to my smartphone. Mr. Kubdel: But sometimes there's more to things than meets the eye. Let's just say that our ancestor was… (opens the watch) Ahead of his time. (Alix gasps) Of course, I'd understand if you'd rather me buy you a new pair of rollerblades. Alix: No, Dad! I'm stoked to have it. It's awesome, thank you! (her phone rings) Mr. Kubdel: Are your friends waiting? Alix: Yeah, but I don't wanna bail on you. It's cool. Mr. Kubdel: No, no, go ahead. (Alix stands up and grabs her cap) Now, take good care of it.
Based on these two scenes, Alim doesn't read like a villain to me. He reads like some sort of protector. If I had to pick a role for him, it would be the guardian, not the villain. After all, what better way to find missing miraculous than to go into a field that has you informed about all sorts of interesting archaeological discoveries? The fact that he's handing out a miraculous only elevates that potential, especially since Alim was smart enough to give it to the kid who was suited to be a hero while leaving Jali is be his conspiracy-theory-loving self.
Another variation of that is to have him (or Alix's other parent) be the rabbit holder and Alim is passing on the torch to Alix because it's time to start her training. He did say that the watch is handed down through their family and, if there's one miraculous that would need a lot of training, it's the rabbit. Plus a history related field is a perfect fit for a rabbit!
Of course, a villain might also go into a field like curation in order to find miraculous, but I'm really not getting villain vibes here. Part of the reason Gabriel makes such a good villain is that he has a clear, understandable goal: bringing back his wife. Alim has nothing like that, so to make him into a villain, I'd have to come up with a motivation for him and the only thing that I can think of is wanting to bring back his own seemingly missing spouse. That's not a very interesting route, though, since it's just a copy-paste of Gabriel's plot and I'd want Alim to be something unique unless you wanted to swap Adrien and Alix for some reason and just tell the same story with a focus on different characters.
I mean, you could make Alim have a motivation like protecting historical artifacts, but then why would he want the ladybug and the black cat? What wish would he be trying to make? Rewriting history won't protect it! I could maybe see a goal of rewriting history to stop a bunch of atrocities, but any historian would know that undoing a given set of atrocities means massive changes to history and it would likely just lead to different atrocities. You'd have to change how humans work or something equally messed up to make a world without atrocities, which makes it a pretty poor motivation as it would make Alim too cartoonish to really work. He'd feel like such a massive step down from Gabriel's complexity...
All of this is why I don't think that the show should have continued post Gabriel. I just don't see what motivation you can give a villain that isn't either derivative or a cartoonish downgrade. "I want to resurrect my wife" just hits different from "I want to take over the world."
To make Alim a villain in his own right, you'd have to redesign major elements of the show. I think a character with his background would work well as a master thief who collects historical artifacts for his own collection or to sell them so that he can live in luxury, but I can't picture his character sending out akumas to terrorize Paris. Ladybug and Chat Noir would go from action heroes to something more stealthy. Spies who are trying to track down Alim and stop his network, returning artifacts to their rightful owners. Not a bad concept for a show, but too different from Miraculous for me to pretend it's a good concept for a series reboot.

Why are Anthony and husk living with alastor and why hasn’t he killed em yet?
I’m sensing he has a soft spot for nifty, Anthony and husk
Anthony and Husk live next door in their apartment complex! Husk in this universe has simply seen too much and Alastor is aware of this. Husk, knowing that Al is a threat, obeys his requests without question and isn't afraid of getting his hands a bit dirty.
Niffty lives on the bottom floor of the building and works as a maid/room service. I imagine she found traces of Alastors nightly activities while cleaning his apartment and spoke up about it. Alastor attempted to threaten her, but she seemed unfazed and almost excited. So in turn she offered her services to assist him for... whatever Niffty's reasons are haha!
I definitely feel that over the years, Alastor has grown quite fond of the both of them and would definitely be torn if something were to happen to them.
I haven't had much of an opportunity to show the layout of the buildings, rooms, and the town in general, nor do I think I will since I want to focus more on that sweet sweet romance and lore, but I may post a map or layout picture at some point for different locations in between chapters~
I'll provide a brief description of some of the places we've visited thus far: Alastor lives on the top floor of an apartment complex. The unit itself consists of 3 rooms (4 if you count a bathroom). The first room is the combined kitchen and living room directly when you walk in the door as shown in "Meet".
Pretty everything in the unit is connected to this room. I have never been too great at backgrounds but hopefully this comic will slowly change that lol.
The next room would be the bedroom. This room is located in the attic. The ladder that Lucifer fell down can be folded up and closed like an attic. The way the ladder goes into the kitchen is similar to how it is in Miraculous Ladybug if any of y'all get me--
The roof of the bedroom is slightly slanted and there is a window above a desk that was positioned out of frame from the already shown shot of this room. There is a queen-sized bed, a bedside table, and a closet in the corner, also out of show from what has been shown thus far.
The rest of the apartment has not shown up yet, but it will be where a lot of scenes take place so that will be shown more and more throughout the chapters~ The remaining rooms are the obligatory bathroom and Alastor's radio studio. I will not share too much about said studio since it will be making an appearance next chapter ;) I WILL however share that there is a step-out balcony attached to the apartment as well.
More information about Husk and Anthony will pop up here and there and I do want to do a few Huskerdust mini-episodes ;) The town layout will be a project and a half if I am to solidify it, but I am more concerned about the fluff, angst, and ROMANCE!! I think the most solidified part of the town layout is that it is slightly elevated above the ocean shore with rock walls around the beach so you take stairs to get on and off of the beach. This gives me a bit more freedom in some plot points is all :))
ANYWAY thank you for the questions, I kinda went on a rant, but hopefully, this answers some unspoken questions as well. It's hard to convey EVERYTHING I want to in each panel and chapter so I am always open to clarification post releases! This is the kind of stuff that keeps motivating me and I frikkin love you guys for that! TvT

Gale's Analysis: 5 things the movie did better and Vice Versa: Miraculous version.
So for this little post I will be writing things I would list that the Miraculous Movie did better for me than the show did and vice versa.
I think both medias have flaws but both also give us something great and I think both should be appreciated.
Rules:
I wont be mentioning ANYTHING asthetic (Thats a budget thing and I wont penalize the show for not having the budget the movie does) These are purely writing choices and scene inclusions.
2. These choices doesnt always mean that the show or Movie handled something badly, it just means I prefer how they were handled. by the Respective media.
3. I will only be including things that are covered in both the film and movie.
4. I would love to hear what you guys preferred and your opinions
I will start off with the Movie and alternate.
(Spoilers if you havent seen the movie or the season 5 finale of the show)
5. Movie: Using Criminals as Akumatized villains
Its such a simple idea, as the Akuma often use the negative emotions of the individuals, and thats what I loved about the movie. Of course if the logic is the more negative the emotions the more powerful, why not recruit the people who let their lives get ruined by their negative impulses.
It ups the danger factor and allows for more cartoonish violence. They get defeated and then get sent to jail. Maybe it makes Akuma seem simpler, but I like it and it results in a villain song that slaps.
5. Show: The way the Heroes were chosen
While on one hand I enjoyed the Kwami picking their chosen in the movie. I actually like how Fu tested the ones in Origins. Both Marinette and Adrien demonstrated their kind hearted and caring natures before getting the miraculous. In the movie we do see Marinette save Fu though unrelated to being chosen, which was great but we dont see Adrien ever do that before becoming Chat noir. And I feel that loses something in the process.
4. Movie: Powers: Stronger together (Not just the song)
The cat and Ladybug miraculous get more powerful when used together. That is something I have wanted since the beginning of the series. It lets both miraculous stand out from the other miraculous and shows why having these two together is such a big deal. This movie does drill it into the viewers head, but its such a cool concept and it is something I wish was in the show.
4. Show: Powers: Lucky Charm
I miss when Ladybug summons an object to help defeat the villain. i know in the movie they go a bit different with how the powers work, but I miss the random items that would then be utilized in order to help them best the bad guys. Marinette is still her clever self when she wants to be in the movie... but it isnt as clear and would have elevated the movie.
3. Movie: Tikki
I think Tikki f***ing kills it in this movie. Her energy, curiosity, her flair. HER RAP! Tikki is exactly what I picture when I see a Kwami of Creation. She was perfect for getting Marinette's butt in gear and being the instigator. She is Marinette's Motivator not her conscience. Tikki has been doing this for Eons and she knows what to do.
3. Show: Plagg
By a MASSIVE Margin, Plagg is much better portrayed in the show. His bond with Adrien is much more pronounced, his personality isnt reduced to being lazy and making Fart jokes. Plagg in the movie does give advice, but Show Plagg has a much more innate care for Adrien even early on. Plagg's bond with Adrien in the show is one of the best things about it.
2. Movie: Ladynoir
Oh I can hear a TON of anger forming from seeing this on my list. But let me explain. I like the fact that they didnt get along right away and grew to like eachother. In the show it makes sense to have them more in sync off the jump, but in the movie it shows how their powers are LINKED to them being closer. So the development is great. And while the show has the appeal of the lovesquare and identities being a secret. The Movie doesnt have that limitation, they are doing the secret identities for their own benefit. Chat noir gets to be more open with Ladybug. And Stronger together as a duet f***ing slaps. Now in the show there are some ladynoir moments that are amazing "Us against the world." Fantastic. And i would argue the show has highs the movies never reached, BUT The problem is though, in the show, that basically gets tossed to the side so often its hard to appreciate it and the lows are more present. In the movie, it is able to keep that basis steady. Plus this movie was made for Ladynoir, lets face it.
2. Show: Marinette and Adrien (As Characters)
I think it is obvious to say that the show has a lot more time to flesh out Marinette and Adrien. Now I do enjoy their movie incarnations, but seeing How Marinette developed her confidence overtime and her reasons for being how she is, as well as Adrien wanting more love and acceptance. The movie never really gets to show how kind and caring both of them are. Something the show gets to demonstrate. Though the flaws are there, it is a deeper ocean to explore. Movie Marinette and Movie Adrien are wonderful, but when it comes to the core, the originals shine brighter.
1. Show: Adrinette (As well as Ladrien and Marichat)
Yes I am swapping back to the show before the movie. I dont care its my list. Adrien and Marinette are f***ing adorable. The umbrella scene is still one of my favorite moments in the series, and seeing how the two fall in love is wonderful. Its a slow burn and its usually pretty damn good. Granted the love rival bump was stupid, but hey not everything is perfect. Also the Ladrien (while not much as much as the other sides) exists in the show and gets a lot of mileage. And Marichat, do I even have to explain? Most of you marichat stans are still watching Elation. The show handles the core aspect that the viewers WANT to see. The slow burn romance. That is where its at. And while the movie does show Adrien and Marinette having some cute encounters, some stuff was cut and it just cant hold a candle to the adrinette in the show.
Its the beauty and love that has me still holding onto the show... no matter the writing choices it has taken. And trust me when I say MY LOVE for the lovesquare has been tested more than Heracles.
1. Movie: Gabriel Agreste
If someone told me I would ever have sympathy for Gabriel Agreste. I would looked them in the eyes and LAUGHED at them. But somehow this movie did what the show failed to do. They turned this neglectful asshole into my favorite part of the movie. The movie makes me understand WHY he is so absent with Adrien, yet still show how much he loves his son. He is a widower lost in grief filled with Survivor's guilt. He is so lost and desperate to bring her back that he was willing to sacrifice his own heart to get her back... but then, he sees his son, damaged by his own hands. He sees the monster he became and it broke him. He fell down and realized he had done something inexcusable in his mind. He let his loss hurt his little boy.
The movie doesnt get as much time as the show to flesh out Gabriel, but sweet kwami does the movie show more than enough. We see his intial reluctance, we see his grief win over and then his obsession and hatred growing. We see him get disheveled and at the brink yet still checking on his son. We see him realize how far gone he is and just let the darkness take control, and finally we see the revelation! Him waking up to the truth, what he did to his son. He breaks down, he confesses. THIS is a Gabriel that you understand how he fell. This Gabriel was shown to the Audience. But you know what the best part is? He isnt shown as a hero, Paris knows he became a villain. He does get to hug his son and apologize, but he acknowledges his wrongs.
The show did have a chance to do that (I would say season 2 was their best bet) But sadly they tossed that out and the ending of the Agreste arc (as far as we know because everyone says its not the end. But its the end.) Was not what I call good.
So when it comes down to it, Gabriel Agreste became the Villain once dreamed he would be in this movie.

Jurassic World Chaos Theory Short Fic (OC Insert)
Title: I’m Done Saving You
Setting: During the Season 2 finale of Chaos Theory but with some alternate scenario with the airport near a cliff and Casey nearly falling off during the confrontation and…Brooklynn…I’ll let you read this and see it…
—————————————————————————
At the airport in Senegal…
The entire scene felt like a whirlwind to Casey, who barely had a moment to process the chaos unfolding around him. The runway buzzed with frenetic energy, the others rushing past, their faces a mix of anxiety and determination. Amidst the clamor, his friends struggled to navigate the attacks of the Atrociraptor, desperately trying to keep each other—and the precious briefcase brimming with fragile eggs, especially Bumpy’s egg—safe from any potential threats.
Soyona Santos had once again called upon her Atrociraptor, the formidable dinosaur they had encountered earlier. Miraculously, it had survived the catastrophic explosion at the facility earlier, its loyalty unwavering. As Casey caught a glimpse of the beast, he felt a momentary sense of relief knowing that Zayna was safe with her baba and that Geba had returned to her.
All the while, the tension escalated dangerously as they were perilously close to the edge of a cliff that bordered the airport runway. The elevated position heightened the stakes, casting an ominous shadow over the frantic scramble. Casey’s heart raced as he realized the magnitude of their predicament; every second counted in this precarious scenario that had seemingly taken a turn for the worse.
The Atrociraptor roared further and leaped towards him. Soyona smirked as she watched from the plane’s window, knowing that Casey was frantic at this point and noticed Yaz and Sammy trying to stay together. She pulled out her little remote without Brooklynn noticing and triggered it to command the Atrociraptor to charge towards them. Casey noticed and shouted, “NO!!!”
He ran as fast as he could and shielded Yaz and Sammy…but not without injuries. The scaly beast screeched and slashed its claws, scratching his skin and kicking him, nearly sending him flying. He scraped across the runway’s road and was at the edge of the cliff. Soyona smirked even more and turned off the remote. Sammy gasped and shouted, “Casey!!!”
“Oh, no, Casey!” Ben cried out.
Brooklynn's heart raced as she spotted Casey precariously teetering on the edge of the cliff. In a split second, she abandoned the heavy briefcase at her feet, its metallic clasp clicking shut as it hit the ground. With determination fueling every muscle in her body, she sprinted towards him, her breath coming in ragged gasps.
As she reached the edge, adrenaline surged through her, propelling her into a powerful leap. She extended her arm with all her might, feeling the weight of every moment pressing down on her. Fingers outstretched, she grasped Casey’s hand, their eyes locking in a moment that felt both eternal and fleeting. Casey hung there, his body swaying above the watery abyss, and Brooklynn felt the crushing pressure of being his only lifeline.
Nearby, Soyona watched the scene unfold, her expression darkening with frustration. A flicker of irritation crossed her face as she let her fingers drift across her remote control, a subtle indication of the impending peril that everyone seemed to notice. The tension in the air crackled as the stakes continued to rise.
“No, no, no! NO!!” Brooklynn cried out. “Why?? Why did you save them?!? You KNEW that Santos would kill you and me! YOU AND BEN KNEW THIS!! But…”
She sobbed and cried as she had told both Ben and Casey to stay away from her but the others came all this way for her…Casey gasped, coughed, and uttered, “Brooklynn…Please…”
“Brooklynn, please.” Ben uttered. “Come back with us.”
“We can still stop the Broker,” Sammy said, clenching Yaz’s hand. “Just give us the eggs and we’ll stop this.”
Brooklynn gazed around at her friends, their faces a blend of fear and determination. Her heart raced, and in that overwhelming moment, she turned to Casey, tears streaming down her cheeks like glistening trails on her flushed skin. The memories of their shared adventures on Isla Nublar and Isla Mantah flooded her mind—every narrow escape, every moment they had fought side by side against insurmountable odds. It was a bond forged in the fires of danger and survival, and now, as they faced yet another peril, she couldn't shake the feeling that this time would be just as critical.
Casey met her gaze, his own eyes shimmering with unshed tears. His voice was a raw whisper amidst the chaos surrounding them. “Brooklynn… Please… I love you…” The sincerity in his tone cut through the tension. It was a plea, a declaration of all that they meant to one another, even in the face of the unknown. The world around them faded momentarily as they locked eyes, each feeling the gravity of the connection that had carried them and the Nublar Six through countless storms.
Brooklynn’s breath hitched in her throat, the weight of revelation crashing down on her like a tidal wave. In that fraught moment, she understood something profound: both Casey and Darius had feelings for her. Torn between two loves, she felt the suffocating pressure of a choice that would affect not just her heart but their lives as well.
Suddenly, a sharp wind swept through the air, sending a shiver down her spine. Brooklynn turned her gaze away from Casey, unable to bear the intensity of his eyes, yet keenly aware of Soyona’s expectant stare fixated on her from the plane’s window. The anticipation in the air was thick, electric, as the aircraft buzzed with the hum of engines and unspoken tension.
For what felt like an eternity, time seemed to stretch as Brooklynn held Casey’s gaze. A flicker of darkness clouded her expression, transforming the warmth in her green eyes into a fierce crimson red. It was a look no one had anticipated; the change was unsettling, almost otherworldly, sending a ripple of concern among Darius, Yaz, Sammy, Kenji, and Ben.
In that moment, she spoke, each word slicing through the charged air with an unexpected finality. “I’m done saving you,” she declared, her voice a chilling whisper that echoed with a sense of finality.
With that, in a swift, heart-stopping motion, she let go of Casey's hand. The collective gasp from those around them filled the space as they watched Casey fall, his expression shifting from shock to betrayal as the distance between them widened as he finally crashed into the waters below him.
“CASEY!!!!” Yaz, Darius, Ben, Kenji, and Sammy shouted altogether.
Brooklynn stood up, her eyes still glowing red and she walked back to the briefcase, quickly checking on the precious dino eggs inside. She looked at her former friends and scowled while Soyona smirked. Darius shuddered and uttered, “What did you do?”
“What I had to,” Brooklynn uttered, her voice cold and hateful. “I’m done with you guys…”

Some Smiling Friends headcanons because h
Some are wholesome, some are sad, some are silly. Variety, y'know?
Allan is autistic, and his monotone way of speaking is a trait of it, along with his perfectionism. Cheese may possibly be a comfort food for Allan, too.
Pim actually has depression, caused by things like his less than stellar home life and upbringing, and constantly tries to keep up a happy go lucky personality to hide his inner pain, and also because he doesn't want others to experience the same pain he want through growing up. In fact, Desmond's speech in the first episode triggered a depressive episode for him. (Edit: I'm gonna tweak my Pim headcanon a little bit. While he is depressed, he rarely relapses or has episodes, since he takes medication for it. He was at his worst in his teen years but once he moved out of his family's house and into his own place, and starting working at Smiling Friends, he got the necessary help he needed to deal with his mental illness)
Pim wants to give the love he never received, which is why he even started working at Smiling Friends in the first place.
Charlie's music preferences include rap, nu metal, phonk, heavy metal, lo-fi and breakcore, Pim's include classic rock, folk, 70s-80s music, eurobeat, and muzak (like elevator music) Allan mostly likes jazz, and Glep will just listen to anything, really
When it comes to video games, Pim loves life simulation games, Charlie likes shooter games, and Allan and Glep both like fighting games.
Glep is a huge fantasy nerd, which is why he wears a wizard hat, and he loves table top games like D&D. He'll sometimes even force Allan to play D&D with him.
Marge (Glep's wife) is Asian American.
Charlie and Zoey's relationship is akin to Marzipan and Homestar's- they seem to be in a vicious cycle of breaking up and getting back together. (Every scene Zoey's been in she's either been annoyed by Charlie or not even talk to him, that may change in season 3 but for now that's all I see between them.)
Grim and Gnarly didn't actually die, they somehow miraculously survived being shot by arrows, which the Smiling Friends don't know yet, but they no longer go around making people frown, they just kinda lurk I guess
Allan is a closeted gay man.

Why do you only ever use Miraculous Ladybug as a bad example
As in why do I use ML whenever I need a bad example or as in why do I never say anything good about ML?
For the former, I have noticed that I do this a lot and I’m trying to find other examples as well; in recent posts I’ve written (idk if they’re shared or not by this point or still in the drafts) I’ve made sure to actively put in other media such as ATLA or Helluva Boss, both shows that I do like and really like the writing of
In terms of saying nice things about ML, the struggle is that I’m generally speaking about it on this blog in terms of writing, and overall I personally don’t feel like the show is very well written, which means it’s easier to come up with relevant things to say about the show that are less positive than it is to praise it
There are definitely some great aspects to the show, however, and I’m happy to name some of them
1. Obviously I have to gush about the concept. The love square? Hawkmoth being Chat Noir’s dad? Marinette idolising Gabriel as a fashion designer? The villain having a power that means they don’t have to put themself at risk while still creating consistent villains of the week? Coming up with inventive solutions on the fly being a superpower? Emotion-based villainy that sets a difference between being a bad person and behaving badly while also encouraging people to seek support and assistance even after their negative emotions have lead them to cause harm? Brilliant! I love all of it!
2. Optigami had some of the best execution of this imo; both of them trapped in the elevator, unable to transform without revealing their identity to the other while the viewer knows the truth on that front, the villain slowly closing in… if it had been anybody else, Gabe would’ve let Style Queen find them, but because Adrien is his son, only because Adrien is his son and not a target, Gabe called Style Queen away and spared them. That scene would’ve felt so much different if not for the specifics of the situation and the relationships between the characters
3. There are some genuinely funny moments in this show omg. Chat taking out the entire police force with the power of dance? Amazing. The scene where they all do the weirdest movements ever to take on Party Crasher? Flawless. Chat trying to blend in by randomly breakdancing? Stealth 100. Jagged Stone randomly vibing as a crocodile? Man’s living his best life
4. Deliberately left out quotes because they deserve their own mentions. “They see me catwalking… they hating~” is funny as hell. “How about Gabe while we’re at it?” deserved an award. “I’m sorry I didn’t come to your dad’s funeral” is just plain iconic. “Hey look at me I’m a pickle!” gets more laughs out of me than it reasonably should
5. When they wanna be clever, they can be very clever. I love that they give you a little insight into what Ladybug’s plan for the Lucky Charm is so you can try and figure it out yourself while she does the same. I love how there are loads of convoluted plans from other characters too, such as Alya’s genius plan in Sentibubbler or even Sabine’s comparatively smaller plan in Qilin
6. Some of the shots in this show are gorgeous. The umbrella scene? Beautiful. The POV shots of Ladybug leaping over rooftops? So immersive and fun. The fight with Stormy Weather? Holy hell those angles!
7. Some of the romantic moments are just amazing. I’ve already mentioned the umbrella scene, but what about the balcony scene? Luka’s declaration of love to Marinette? The scene where MariChat gently check each other’s comfort levels and consent when they exchange kisses? Sweet!

Searching for partners to write Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon roleplays! I am 18+ and my partner must be 18+ as well. Here is some information about me:
Willing to write via tumblr or discord
Willing to double (any gender, any pairing, any character)
Prefers writing as dominant male characters
Reply schedule varies, but I am communicative about extended absence
Prefers writing in third-person
Stories will include nsfw/smut scene ideally
Fine with Dark themes!
I am looking for someone to play Alicent Hightower for me! I am willing to play anyone you want in return from either show - GoT or HotD and I will certainly give your preferred pairing the same, equal attention.
I would like to pair her with my male OC Targaryen.
Background/Plot Information: I am aware that the type of plot below is probably not very typical of the GoT world. I simply enjoy happy romances and I would love to create a story and an OC who gives Alicent exactly that. Additionally, this plot is very much an AU where some major events are changed, but it is still the HotD world we know and love! I attempted to bold some of the major differences from the roleplay and the show. There will still be plenty of drama and action too, I promise!
Jaenys Targaryen (my OC) is the second child and only son of King Viserys I Targaryen and Queen Aemma Arryn
He is born nearly 2 years after his sister, Rhaenyra
After Rhaenyra's birth, Aemma barely survives. Maesters determine that she is incapable of childbearing again. Despite trying, they have no luck. Thus, Viserys names Rhaenyra as his heir
Almost two years later, Aemma miraculously births Jaenys. She dies during childbirth, but the baby survives
Even though he is the only male descendant, Viserys refuses to go back on his word and insists that Rhaenyra will take the Iron Throne after he passes
This plotline allows a central conflict from the show to still exist in our roleplay: Many in King's Landing disagree with his decision, especially since he now has a male heir
It means our divide becomes Jaenys versus Rhaenyra instead of Aegon versus Rhaenyra as we know in the show
Raised in the Red Keep, he was groomed to inherit Dragonstone. Growing up, he was very close with Rhaenyra, and even when he became old enough to understand the political tensions, her being named heir honestly did not bother him
Along with being close to his sister, he developed an even closer friendship with Alicent Hightower
Their friendship blossomed into a romantic love. This was celebrated by King Viserys, who believed in their genuine affection
Behind the scenes, however, Otto Hightower began to scheme - seeing an opportunity to elevate Jaenys as a rival to Rhaenyra for the Iron Throne. He envisioned Alicent as Queen and Jaenys as the future king. Otto saw no reason why he would be removed as Hand in such a scenario, providing his family with a great deal of power and influence in Westeros. He believes that Jaenys' weak spot for his daughter can be exploited, that he can be malleable
Viserys grants the marriage between his son and Alicent instead of Viserys marrying Alicent. In this version, he remains unmarried (unless you have an idea for his second wife that would work better, then I'm all ears!)
When the King dies, Otto is the one beside him. He decides to lie to the small council and claim that during his dying breath, Viserys expressed regret for not naming his son as the heir, asking that Otto makes sure that Jaenys is coronated after all
Obviously, this is not what happened. However, so many already support the claim Jaenys has to the Throne that nobody questions it, and this serves as a catalyst for us to begin with events of the show!
Note: I am open to your ideas and thoughts on any changes that you might like to see!
Face claim: I love asking for my partner's preferred face claim. As with his Targaryen lineage, his hair would be a silver/blondish color, but the face can be whatever you please! If you're interested, please interact and I will reach out or message me there on Tumblr!

i have a theory regarding season two of loki. bear with me for a second here
so loki appears in the past where he’s unknown to everyone yada yada, gets surrounded and jumps off a building which SHOULD HAVE KILLED HIM. but, miraculously, a truck that just so happened to be flying by catches him.
this scene is treated like a funny little haha moment, but what are the odds of a truck moving at the exact right speed to catch a rapidly falling person? its ridiculous. its deus ex machina. its impossible. but most of all, its intentional. BEAR WITH ME HERE
after this miraculous save, the truck crashes into EXACTLY where loki needs to be. it crashes into the room where 1) someone loki is familiar with is in and 2) SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHERE MOBIUS IS
to recap, loki JUMPS OFF OF A BUILDING, AND INSTEAD OF PLUMMETING INTO THE GROUND, HE LANDS INSIDE A TRUCK WHICH LEADS HIM DIRECTLY TO WHERE HE NEEDS TO GO. seems pretty bizarre. why would something this impossible happen? i doubt the writers would be so lazy as to just stick that in for convenience
no, i think that this is being written into the timeline. two deus ex machinas were seen in this episode (truck and the slingshot ish scene) and i believe they were written by someone in order to protect loki.
by who, you ask? well, i’d personally guess sylvie herself. my reasoning is 1) since He Who Remains is dead, theres a vacancy open and hypothetically sylvie should have access to the timeline 2) how else would sylvie had known to be in the elevator at the EXACT moment when loki was also there?
this is a very flawed theory but i do feel like it might have SOME truth to it. IM SO EXCITED TO SEE HOW THIS PLAYSBOUT AHHH

"seduce with caution" sounds interesting!
Ask is in reference to this WIP Title tag game. I have a whole tag just based around me gushing/raging/tearing my hair out over this project. 😅
To start, it's a fanfic within the Miraculous Ladybug fandom. For those not in the fandom, here's a quick primer: the show focuses on the teenage superhero Ladybug and her partner Chat Noir as they save Paris from supervillain Hawk Moth. Neither Ladybug nor Chat Noir knows their partner's secret identity, which makes things interesting since Ladybug is actually Marinette, classmate and friend to super model Adrien... aka Chat Noir. These secret identities have caused a bit of a complex romantic plotline the fandom has dubbed the Love Square*.
Now, the elevator pitch for Seduce With Caution is that, over the course of the 6 years since they've met, Chat Noir has developed the habit of visiting Marinette on a nearly-nightly basis. They have become best friends within these two personas - Chat Noir and Marinette - and one of their main topics of discussion is their failed love lives. One night Chat Noir proudly proclaims that he's sorted out how to get Ladybug to finally fall for him. Marinette playfully dismisses him. To prove his point, Chat Noir decides to try out his new flirting tactics on Marinette. Neither of them expected his new seduction moves to actually work. When they do, chaos ensues.
So now, 19yo Marinette is trying to sort out her newfound sexual attraction for 19yo Chat Noir and what that means for both her love for Adrien and her partnership with Chat Noir as Ladybug. Meanwhile, Adrien is also trying to figure out why Marinette swooning over him is such a huge turn-on. Is it just the swooning? Is it because it's swooning over his superhero persona instead of his model status? Is it because it's a friend of his instead of a random stranger? Is it because it's Marinette specifically? Can he get her just as hot-and-bothered as just plain old Adrien? Would it be as much of a turn-on if he could? What does ANY of this mean for his friendship with Marinette (both as Chat Noir and as Adrien) or his supposed undying love for Ladybug?
The story does progress into a MariChat (Marinette and Chat Noir) romance... aaaaand there's some smutty moments spliced in there.
Honestly? The story was originally going to be this crack smut one-shot. I had read the 4th and 5th chapters of Dressed to Confess by @zenmisery back in the summer of 2020. I was caught up in the MariChat make-out session, but also the fact that the two literally couldn't do much more than heavy petting due to Chat Noir's costume being magically incapable of being removed. He has a sort of magical chastity belt that he can't get around without detransforming and revealing who he is to Marinette. Well, my pervy brain had Marinette create a work-around, and I was simply going to write that scene: the two aged up and getting their little smut on thanks to Marinette's characteristic ingenuity.
My first attempts included Chat Noir doing a pole dance strip tease to get Marinette all riled up, and then she would reveal her master plan for him to actually disrobe without revealing who he was to her. I tried writing just that scene about 4x over the course of the next year. None of them worked.
Fast forward to August 2021 and I finally wrote a more subtle flirting/seduction scene. It was more sensual. It built up the tension better. It was accidental flirting. This was the scene I have been meaning to write! Huzzah! Eeeeeexcept... the whole point of Chat Noir "accidentally" flirting with Marinette was because he was practicing for Ladybug. I couldn't just have him and Marinette shack up! I had to have him get over Ladybug first... and Marinette get over Adrien.... and THEN get to the original smut scene!
It's the transition from regular Love Square to Reverse Love Square that has been holding me up since flippin' 2021! I have the first 3 chapters of this story pretty much locked in, I have a concept for the 4th chapter that I've been tweaking, and I have a few more scenes/chapters further along the plot that I have already sorted out/written. I'm excited for the bits I have actually put to paper (as it were), but it's the bridging moments that have been eluding me. I've attempted 9 different plotting strategies, and this final one seems to be working the best (especially if used in conjunction with a few of the other plotting tactics).
One of my New Years Resolutions was to have this story ready to publish by August... but it's not looking very likely. I HAVE been steadily** working on it, though... so there's that.
If you don't mind spoilers and want more info on this story, I have my latest plot outline attempt available here. Still needs lots of tweaks, but it's a start.
*For those who might not know what I mean when I say Love Square, here's the basic breakdown: Marinette is in love with Adrien, but he doesn't see her romantically because he's in love with Ladybug (but can only get the chance to tell her so as Chat Noir). Ladybug doesn't see Chat Noir romantically because of her love for Adrien, but she can't tell Chat Noir that because she fears it will somehow reveal her civilian identity. Ladybug also can't tell Adrien she loves him because she fears putting a civilian (Adrien) in danger if the Big Bad found out she liked him (think Mary Jane being targeted to get to Spider-Man). Adrien doesn't let Marinette (or really anyone) know he's in love with Ladybug because either (a) he fears people will pick on him for having a crush on a superhero, or (b) it might give away that he's Chat Noir.
Basically, the Love Square is this (complete with the couple names):
Reverse Love Square is exactly what it says on the tin.
**By "steadily"... well... I haven't really written MUCH at all the past three years. Depression is a beautiful thing, isn't it? I have kind of poked at it about once a month though... so... I guess that's steady. Right?

Tell me, what did you think of ML when you first discovered it? I thought Chloe's arc in season 2 was decent for this type of show, even if it could have been better. I also never took Marinette's obsessive behavior over Adrien that seriously until it started getting really grating.
My first interaction with ML consisted of me looking for kids shows to watch in Spanish, finding Miraculous on Netflix, watching maybe three minutes of The Bubbler, and then turning the show off because it didn't seem very good. That's the episode that starts with Marinette freaking out about giving Adrien a birthday present and it gave me the impression that Miraculous was doing the classic female-protagonist-pines-for-the-male-protagonist-who-barely-even-knows-her-name trope, which is not a trope that I'm into. I'm way too ace for that shit. This is the scene in question as I looked it up to make sure I was remembering it correctly:
Marinette: Ah! (she stops right in front of Adrien.) Um, he-- Hey! (she gets nervous as she holds her gift behind her back.) Adrien:(surprised, shyly) Hey. Chloé:(as she watches what's happening outside) Wait! Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing? Don't tell me it's Adrien's birthday?! Sabrina:(checks her tablet, gets surprised, and makes excusing noises while smiling sheepishly.) Chloé:(facepalms) Ugh, do I have to do everything myself? Seriously, what are you good for? (walks toward Adrien.) Marinette:(nervously) I, uh, I wanted to, umm, gift you a make-– I mean, gift you a give I made-- I mean... Chloé:(yawns while Marinette is talking and then shoves her away) Out of the way. (she acts sweet.) Happy birthday, Adrien! (throws herself onto him and gives him a kiss on the cheek.) Mwah! Adrien:(surprised) Yeah, thanks Chlo.
This backs up my vague memory that my initial assumption was that Adrien and Chloé were friends while Adrien didn't know who Marinette was because he was clearly much more comfortable with Chloé. Same goes for Nino who was talking to Adrien earlier in this scene.
I'm not sure when this first watch occurred, but I know it was at least a year before I revisited the show. I made a friend in another fandom and that friend was transitioning out of Miraculous, but they had a lot of really good Miraculous fanart and even some fanfic which got me curious as I couldn't understand why anyone would be into the show given my dismal initial impression.
On this friend's recommendation, my SO and I started watching Miraculous an episode or two at a time. I was pretty unimpressed with the actual show, but I started reading early fandom fanfic between our watching sessions and that kept me interested enough to keep watching. My initial impression of the show didn't really change until we watched Origins. That's the episode that really made me fall in love with the canon characters as it took everything about the show and elevated it. The crushes had depth! The Chloé/Adrien thing wasn't just the bitchy rich girl going after the popular boy! Gabriel was confirmed to be the big bad! Things were suddenly going places and that honestly wasn't surprising.
It's incredibly common for kids shows to have lackluster first seasons where they don't really commit to anything major re plot because they're just testing the waters to see if they'll be green lit for more seasons. Because of this, I was under the impression that Origins must have been when they got green lit and season two was going to do the standard kids show thing where they really get to dive into the plot and characters in a big way now that they're making money. This assumption was backed up by the addition of the new heroes to the show's intro.
For the first half of season two, I was invested as it seemed like we were finally getting seasonal arcs. Chloé seemed to be getting set up for some sort of character arc, which I was all for as I enjoy a good mean girl arc. We also had some tension brewing between our heroes with Fu favoring Marinette, a dynamic that felt more accidental than planned since it only happened because Marinette found the grimoire at the end of season one. I thought all of that was going to come to a head with Chloé's Queen Bee debut as things had seemingly been set up for Chloé to be Adrien's pick for a Miraculous.
Then Queen Bee actually happened and my excitement quickly faded. I still cannot think of a less interesting way for Chloé to get and use the bee. No one gives it to her and she outs herself on national television right away? Talk about wasting an idea. Clearly this had just been a one-off thing done so that the show could drive up hype for season two based on promo images of Chloé as a hero.
But it wasn't a one off thing. For some reason, they kept bringing Queen Bee back and that's when I knew we were in for a bad time because that should have never happened. It especially shouldn't have happened when Marinette was giving out the miraculous. I could maybe see a setup where Adrien gives Chloé a second chance, but Marinette trusting Chloé made no sense:
Marinette: I must choose someone who's not impressed by people in power. Who can help me trap Malediktator. Huh?! Of course! That's it. (reaches for the Miraculous of the Bee) Wait, what am I thinking? (facepalms)
Yeah, what are you thinking? Alya was your first choice for the bee, she isn't impressed by people in power, and she wasn't hit by Malediktator, so go grab her! Why would you pick Chloé?
Long story short, I kept watching because the show wasn't terrible, my SO enjoyed hearing me dunk on it as we watched it, and I was really enjoying the fan content, but I didn't have much faith in canon after the midpoint of season two and I continually lost faith as the seasons progressed. I never pictured it getting as bad as seasons five, but I only had hopes for Miraculous to be truly good for about 2 weeks as that's how long it took us to get from Origins to the Queen Bee mess. I was also disappointed by Alya and Nino's hero journeys. I expected them to be chosen for grander reasons. As is, it felt like they only got recruited because their loved ones were in danger.
Since you brought up Marinette's crush, I'll end by saying that I have never been a fan of that style of crush-based humor (once again, way too ace for that shit), but it didn't bother me in a serious way because it was very obviously meant to be humorous. I just suffered through the jokes when they happened and then moved on as there was no reason to dwell on them. It probably helped that I was reading a lot of fanfic and even the people who love the show generally agree that Marinette's crush should be played down in more serious stories.
The only time Marinette's crush bothered me was Derision as that episode straight up destroyed her character. It also made the writers look awful because they made Kim the bad guy for laughing at Marinette's behavior, but we'd just spent over four seasons being told Marinette's behavior was a joke, so what is the lesson here? Are we all supposed to feel guilty for laughing at a trauma response we didn't know was a trauma response? Are the writers saying that trauma is funny? How can you be so tone deaf?

Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of A Seventh Son (REQUEST)
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (hereafter shortened to just Seventh Son because wow is that long) is Iron Maiden's seventh studio album, inspired by the novel Seventh Son by Orson Scott Card, which was in turn inspired by the folklore concept of the Seventh Son, who, in an unbroken line of sons, is destined to inherit mystical abilities. The abilities vary on different tellings, such as clairvoyance, supernatural healing, or even ailments like lycanthropy or vampirism. Seventh Son is Iron Maiden's most successful steps into power metal, a soaring and esoteric concept album following the titular seventh son of a seventh son. There's a wide variety of sounds and atmospheres in the tracklist, which really helps the feel of an epic quest, or a life of significance. This one comes with a special kind of difficulty in reviewing, because I need to pay close attention to the lyrics to follow the story. We'll get into that more below the cut.
TRACK 1 - MOONCHILD
We don't really get any time to acclimate before Seventh Son dives straight into its themes and overall vibe. The lyrics are roundabout with a general aesthetic of "lots of occult words," and allegedly come directly from Satan himself. He accosts the mother of the Seventh Son, promising her he'll make her child serve him. The synth line after an acoustic opening very quickly sets our tone as a power metal epic, and everything to come in after that just keeps elevating the sound. There's a minute and a half of mostly just sound before the main melody and lyrics come in, and it adds a special something to the scale of the story.
Excellent introduction to the world and sounds, just alright as a song. The synth opening is the best part, but the solo's good too. 7/10.
TRACK 2 - INFINITE DREAMS
This is our first song from the Seventh Son (the first one) himself, recounting the torment he feels from his clairvoyant dreams. As is customary with power metal concept albums, no two songs blend together; the tone and scene of Infinite Dreams is a much more intimate and proggy experience next to Moonchild. This song very nearly lost a ton of points purely by virtue of putting "unbeliever" and "neither" in consecutive lines, but not pronouncing them with the same inflection on the ie-ei syllables. That one hurt my feelings.
Every part of this one is a treat, even with that glaring issue. 9/10. The guitar never stops moving, and never rests on the same feeling for any prolonged time.
TRACK 3 - CAN I PLAY WITH MADNESS
This one feels most like your standard late 80s heavy metal, with a lot of major chords and hopeful tones. The Seventh Son (still the first one) visits a prophet to inquire about the impending birth of his seventh son, but he's not really saying anything decipherable. My personal theory is that what he sees in his crystal ball is incomprehensible, and impossible to communicate beyond "yeah, dude, you're going to hell."
I'll always have a soft spot for that nostalgic late 80s heavy metal sound I grew up on, 8/10.
TRACK 4 - THE EVIL THAT MEN DO
Like I said before, no power metal epic has two songs that start the same. The Evil That Men Do has a slow, ambling intro, with some of the most evocative playing on the record. The song is about God and the Devil both wanting to claim the child as their servant on earth for his powers, hence the lines about balancing on a razor's edge. This has some of the best lyricism on the album, and is arguably the most immediately "Seventh Son of a Seventh Son" track, if that makes sense.
Bonus points for the Shakespeare quotes. 8/10
TRACK 5 - SEVENTH SON OF A SEVENTH SON
Lo, the miraculous cataclysm of his birth is upon us! Title track! As a power metal record, there's an obligation for at least one nine minute song with very few lyrics of substance. This isn't a complaint, it's a staple of the genre and I'm glad it's a thing. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son marks a turning point, both in the story and in the structure of the record itself - we've just passed the halfway point out of our eight songs. The chugging guitar and powerful vocals do well to communicate the air of significance this song holds in the story.
This is probably higher than it should be. Favourite solo on the album at the end of the third minute, saving it from receiving a 5 or lower. 7/10
TRACK 6 - THE PROPHECY
The title here bothers me, because the first, like, three songs were also a prophecy. That being said, this one's different! The Seventh Son (of the Seventh Son) manifests his supernatural abilities, and foresees a disaster coming for the village. The intro solo is awesome, and another one comes in after the first chorus. By the start of the second verse, it's clear this solo was representing/happening in conjunction with the disaster he prophesized. The second verse is his true realization that his abilities are a curse, not a blessing.
Thematically great, but the sound isn't anything to write home about outside of the intro. 4/10
TRACK 7 - THE CLAIRVOYANT
The Seventh Son can now control his visions, and is a fully-fledged seer. It seems that Iron Maiden have foregone the traditional legends about the Seventh Son of a Seventh Son as a healer in favour of clairvoyance, which is much less prominent but still has its foundations in folk concepts. This song has an ironic tinge to it, with the general concept being that for all his power and insight, the Seventh Son can't foresee his own death. This foreshadowing doesn't really set anything up, though.
The sound is occasionally great, but it's aimless. The tone and style change frequently, and without warning. This should have been multiple songs. 3/10
TRACK 8 - ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG
The Son realizes that his service will stay thankless, and for every prediction he makes, he'll receive only more blame from the village. He's foreseen more calamities, and he knows he can stop them, but to do so would mean a great sacrifice. The title here alludes to his decision in this song; he'll die young, but only if he stays good. He leaves the village behind to live a life of indulgence and comfort, presumably never using his abilities again. The good in him died young, and his sinful and selfish side carries on living. The song closes off with the same mantra the album opens with.
I suppose that's our answer to the argument at the start of the album, about whether he'll be claimed by God or by The Devil. 6/10
RETROSPECTIVE
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son has a lot of great ideas, but the execution is a little rough around the edges. The story is prioritized over the sound, and the album as a whole suffers for it. Investment in the story is a lot harder when songs like The Clairvoyant are a slog to listen through. The highs are very high, but the lows are genuinely difficult to sit through on their own. I can and will listen to a lot of this album again, but the songs that don't hit really don't hit.
If you're interested in the story, I'd just recommend reading the lyrics over listening to the album the whole way through. It's more good than bad, but the bad is really hard to look past, unfortunately. I'm still comfortable giving it a 7/10 for the opening half, but I can't see it going any higher than that. This hurts me more than it hurts you, Seventh Son. I really want to love this record!

So, can Marinette also make physical illusions? (Also, I love that Paradise went from a simple genderbend au to probably your darkest au)
Yes. Simply put, illusions are extremely versatile. so allow me. Also, time to fine tune this bitch in here.
We start with this Volpina.
Volpina in Miraculous AU is terrifying as she realizes the true power of illusions. She can create invisible illusions to patrol the city and stalk the other heroes, camouflage herself with the environment so only a truly perceptive eye can see her, create illusionary nine tailed foxes as combative guards that are real until harmed when they vanish, mimic other voices, false environments, and just so much more.
In a certain chapter I'm fine tuning, you see just how easily she can manipulate things with illusions. She watches the situations from afar through her illusions, sharing "false" memories to the other heroes, eavesdrop, and possibly more. In a scene with Viperion, she's able to showcase her using the voice mimic and makes Viperion de-transform and transform again before helping the unconscious heroes de-transform.
In a few deleted chapters, she is seen conversing with Sleuthlynx through her illusionary foxes. Her thoughts projected and spoken by the illusion.
This is all due to her lesser power being that of illusions and her greater power (that she doesn't use as often) is shapeshifting.

Greater Power: Shift
And that brings me to Volpina from Absolution. This Volpina can do the mentioned above, but is never on the field. She always sends illusionary doppelgangers to do her work while she remains in a safe, hidden location. I don't have as much on her compared to her Miraculous AU counterpart, though Absolution is going through a massive overhaul in terms of story, so yeah.
Speaking of the overhaul, shapeshifting was dropped to keep the illusions power. Her passive is a form of persuasion where whatever she says, people believe (much like Hoaxer) with her main power being Illusions.
Activation Phrases
Transformation: "Trixx, Conceal"
Power: Trick
Now, Vixen for Separate Worlds won't be as crazy with her illusionary powers, but did use them to enhance her performances. Creating a spectral and ethereal display/concert to accompany here. This would range from illusionary back up singers, music as she'd deviate and do her own thing, to a play that fills the room that'd usually be akin to a movie with the moving illusions putting on a play.
Her illusions are a mix of false and real. Meaning if one were to interact with them. They'd either feel as real as another person or their hands would pass through the illusion as it dissipated like it never existed.
Activation Phrases
Transformation: "Trixx, Conceal"
Power: None/Innate
Now brings me to Marc from Salvation. So, his is a little undefined as I'm working on incorporating him into the story as we speak (his struggles, goals, etc). As of now, he can do the same as the other foxes to a point, but I haven't exactly pinpointed his use of illusions aside from two possibilities:
One that he uses illusions to appear like society's version of normal and as a visual display for his creativity. With these ideas, it makes him more akin to Vixen than Volpina.
I will also add that with these ideas, I may end up elevating Marc to Avatar status, but we'll see. Until that day should occur, he has only the power.
Activation Phrases
Transformation: "Trixx, Conceal"
Power: Trick
A slight change of plans with Paradise. Bridgette will be the fox holder known as Void. Given what I've set up for Paradise, Void will be a mirror to Miraculous AU's Volpina. She can create a network of shadowy illusions and see through them all, create illusions capable of harm, but can't take any damage otherwise they are destroyed, speak through her illusions, and more. The only limit really is her imagination.
Activation Phrases
Transformation: "Trixx, shroud."
Power: Trick
Luka gets his time with the fox as Maestro in Siren's Song. His power is illusions that he uses for more music and sound based illusions. Also, just a fun detail, the colored parts on him change color based of the music he plays with his powers.
Activation Phrases
Transformation: "Trixx, shroud."
Power: Trick
Alya is finally Rena in Amaranthine. Her power is that of illusions on par with that of Miraculous AU!Volpina.
Activation Phrases
Transformation: "Trixx, shroud."
Power: None/Innate
Lila returns once again with the fox as the fox heir in Court of Miracles. She is Midborn and her powers include:
Illusions
Shapeshifting
Lila takes her place as Volpina once again in All That Remained. Her power, like many times before, are illusions.
