Sorry but why in the name of sanity do we go on the dragon side quest with Penny instead of Charlie??

Like okay his mother would be furious if he got into danger but that doesn't stop him to help with the cursed vaults so why not dragons?? He would do anything to see one!

Idk makes me kinda angry..not that I dislike Penny but it just doesn't make any sense...

anyway it is the year two thousand and twenty and in my country alone 100,000+ are dead and over 40 million people (myself included) are unemployed due to a pandemic that has had a negligent-at-best-cruel-at-worst government response, black people are being murdered by police at horrific rates, trans people have the highest murder rate of any group, hate crimes (especially against immigrants) have spiked globally, and the president called for the military to shoot people protesting violent systemic injustice

if you will not use any platform at your disposal to call out injustice and bigotry then you have chosen your side

neutrality is not an option when one side is calling for the death of the other

one day, professor binns fails to show up to his class. he does not float through the blackboard, droning on about some goblin war or a wizard only celebrated in one town for their heroic deeds. no, the monotonous lecture does not come, so the students wait. and wait. there is whispering about the fifteen minute rule, but no student leaves the room.

some twenty minutes later, the chatter falters as a new ghost frantically emerges from the far wall - who looks so young, about sixth-year. they’re clad in slytherin robes, but that doesn’t distract from the pile of papers and lecture material ominously floating beside them. they take a moment to adjust their tie as it settles on the teacher’s desk, before addressing the class.

“I - I apologize, kids, for the delay,” they say, fiddling with their large horn-rim glasses. the cursed scar lining the left side of their face stretches as they give the students a sheepish grin. “As of today, Professor Binns has retired. I’m your new History of Magic teacher, Rowan Khanna.”
