Wake Up, Miss Moon
Hey, howdy everyone! The writers block and life have both been a real pain in the ass lately, but I got a little bit of inspiration and a little bit of a break tonight.
And so, I give to thee this little imagine about Dad!Sukuna and Mouse
If you prefer to read it on AO3 click here !
WC: 1208
Summary: Just a little imagine about Dad!Sukuna and his little family having a small celebration for the second night of Otsukimi.
AN: To anyone new to my Daddy Duty series- Mouse is Sukuna's two year old daughter. Welcome to Mouse's Mini-verse!
CW: none really? reader is called Mama but not described. It is pure family fluff.
A/N: This story takes place in September/October, even though it is now December. I'm always late to the party 🤣 (Otsukimi is a celebration of the Mid Autumn full moon and then the 'near full' waxing moon about a month later.)
Tumblr media
“Miss mooooooon, wake uppppp!” Mouse sang as she sat on the engawa, staring up at the stars.
“What are you doing, Mouse?” Sukuna asked, coming to sit down beside her and ruffling her hair with his hand.
“I want the moon to come out but she’s being too slow,” Mouse told him, climbing into his lap. “Papa, make her come out, please and thank you.”
Sukuna chuckled at her request. “Unfortunately, Mouse, that’s beyond even my capabilities.”
“Mama can do it?” Mouse asked, looking up at him.
“No, neither she nor Uraume can do that either,” he smirked as he replied.
With a big sigh she adjusted to lay with her back against him, staring up at the sky. “Mama said tonight is Otsukimi again. She said last time that some places have big parties. Mama said people sing on boats sometimes.”
“Yes, some people do those… nonsense things,” Sukuna answered.
He really only cared about festivals thrown in his honor, but you had different views on that. You, regrettably, liked to inform him that the world did not revolve around him. It was important for Mouse to understand the traditions of their homeland, even if they meant nothing to him.
“Why is tonight called Otsukimi and when there was already a night called Otsukimi?” Mouse asked., mentioning the same celebration a month prior.
“Last month was about the beauty of the full moon. Tonight  is about appreciating the moon even when it is incomplete,” Sukuna explained. He loved the moon and stars. Of all the silly things you convinced him to celebrate with you, he minded this one the least.
“The moon is always pretty,” Mouse answered.
“I agree. But humans believe if someone celebrated last month they must also celebrate this month or bad luck will befall them,” Sukuna rolled his eyes. “Pathetic.”
“Ohhhhh no! We don’t want no bad luck!” Mouse shook her head back and forth, ignoring Sukuna’s sneer. She cupped her hands around her mouth and called out to the sky, “Hurry up, Miss Moon! Hurry up, please and thank you!”
“That won’t work, Mouse. Eat these and have some patience,” Uraume said as they approached, kneeling and placing down a tray of snacks.
“Ooooh! Yummy!” Mouse’s face lit up. Before either of them could blink, Mouse was out of his arms and on the engawa, shoveling dango into her mouth.
“Mouse! Manners!” You chuckled as you came outside and saw your daughter with her cheeks puffed big with food and crumbs all over her mouth and hands. You grinned and pressed your fingertips to your lips, “ Just look at you!”
“I sorry, Mama,” Mouse said, sitting back. “I can has some more, please and thank you?”
“Finish chewing and swallowing what’s in your mouth, and then we can talk about more,” you laughed as you sat down. You pulled her into your lap and used a handkerchief to wipe away the evidence and clean her face. “There’s my pretty girl!”
“And there’s my pretty Mama!” she grinned. She hugged your front and then sat back pointing happily. “And my pretty Papa! And my pretty Urau-raua!”
“I am not pretty,” Sukuna glared, arms crossed across his chest.
“I think you are,” you smiled over Mouse’s head. You looked at Uraume who was looking down stunned. Had Mouse finally broken them? And with a compliment at that? “You are very pretty too, Uraume.”
If looks could kill, Uraume would once again have had you dead on the spot. They did not appreciate your sense of humor. And unfortunately for them, that just made things even more amusing to you.
“We a pretty family!” Mouse giggled.
“I agree,” you gave her a little squeeze.
She yawned and you wondered if she was going to make it to see the full moonrise. She crawled back into Sukuna’s lap and began asking her 5 million newest questions while her father lovingly and begrudgingly answered every single one. She asked him to tell her the legends about the stars. You sat back braced on your hands and listened to him talk. You could listen to that man talk for hours with that voice of his.
Uraume brought out a small blanket and some tea. They handed the blanket to Sukuna and began to set up the cups. You watched as Sukuna wrapped the blanket around Mouse, telling her stories until her little eyes started to flutter.
“Papa?”
“Yes, Mouse?” Sukuna asked, brushing hair back from her face.
“You wake me up when the moon wakes up, please and thank you? I don’t want bad luck,” she said with yet another yawn. She was fighting tooth and nail just to stay awake long enough to get his answer.
“I’ll try,” he chuckled, knowing first hand how difficult his daughter was to wake up for anything.
“No try, do,” she quoted the phrase you said commonly with a yawn and a stretch before snuggling deeper into his arms and his haori. “Please and thank you, Papa.”
He shook his head and chuckled as she started snoring before he could reply. He reached for his tea, taking a sip and looking up at the sky. “Should be soon.”
“I’ll go lay her down,” you said with a smile, moving to set down your tea.
“No, it’s fine,” Sukuna said with a smirk as he glanced down at her. Then he glanced at you and gave you a gentle smile that made your heart flutter. “I made a promise to her, after all.”
“Master Sukuna, would you like me to make more dango? Mouse devoured a majority,” Uraume asked from where they still sat on their knees just behind you both. They surveyed the damage with a grimace on their face. “In record time I might add.”
“No, it’s not necessary, there are still plenty of other treats,” he said gesturing to the still full tray you were picking at.
“But dango is your favorite?” Uraume looked at Sukuna like he was a stranger.
“You’ll miss the moon. Can’t have that either. You don’t want any bad luck, do you Uraume?” Sukuna asked without turning to look at them but a huge smile on his face.
Between the shit eating grin on Sukuna’s face and the sputtering of Uraume behind you, you had to work hard to stifle the giggle that bubbled up within you. You turned and looked at the horizon as the moon began her ascent into the sky. You were not sure if you put any faith into superstitions, but you were not willing to take chances. You loved the life you had built too much for that.
A short time later, Sukuna tried to rouse the little one. “Mouse, wake up, the moon is visible.”
“5 more minutes, please and thank you, Papa,” she said sleepily.
“Saw that coming,” Sukuna chuckled softly, running a knuckle over the swell of Mouse’s chubby cheek.
“We’ll try waking her again before we head to bed,” you said, moving your hand to interlock fingers with Sukuna’s as Uraume could be heard heading inside.
“I am in no rush,” Sukuna said, turning to meet your gaze. “After all, the most beautiful view in the world is the one right in front of me.”

Suds and Sass
Hey hey everyone! Its been far too long since I shared some new Daddy Duty content, so here you go! I give to you all this silly little imagine about Dad!Sukuna and Mouse
If you prefer to read it on AO3 click here !
WC: 892
Summary: It's Sukuna's turn to wash Mouse's hair. He should have known nothing could ever be so mundane with his daughter.
AN: To anyone new to my Daddy Duty series- Mouse is Sukuna's two year old daughter. Welcome to Mouse's Mini-verse!
CW: none really? reader is called Mama but not described. It is pure family fluff.
Tumblr media
“That not how Mama does it, Papa,” Mouse informed Sukuna as she sat on the bathing stool in front of him so he could wash her hair.
“Well, Mama isn’t the one doing it, now is she?” he asked with a shake of his head while he lathered her hair, making sure to scrub her scalp thoroughly.
“No. Papa is. But Papa is doing it wrong.”
“Oh? You think you could do better?” Sukuna challenged his almost 3 year old daughter.
Mouse whirled around in excitement. “Yes! I show you! I wash your hair now, Papa! Please and thank you, Papa!”
“I don’t need-”
“Papa,” Mouse rested a hand on his and gave him a stern look. “I wash your hair now, please and thank you. Then Mama won’t say Papa is stinky.”
“I do not smell unpleasant and your mother has never accused me of such,” he glared at his daughter for her infamous audacity.
“Papa wants to smell nice for Mama though, right?” Mouse cocked her head and gave him a sly little grin. “Papa wants Mama kisses.”
“Mouse - Your mother’s and my kisses do not concern you. And she will kiss me regardless of how I smell.” Sukuna was once again dumbfounded by the conversation he found himself having in earnest with his toddler. “Turn around so we can wash out your hair.”
She pressed her lips together and turned her back to him with her arms crossed on her chest. “Mama would give more kisses if Papa wasn’t a stinky head.”
“What was that?” Sukuna’s eyes were huge as he stared at the back of his daughter’s head, certain he had not heard her right.
“Papa is a stinky head. I tellin’ mama no kisses for papa.” “Because I won’t let you wash my hair?”
She turned her head and gave him a look over her shoulder. “If Papa washes his hair he won’t have a stinky head any more.”
Sukuna had never lost so many battles in his life before he met you and you brought this hellspawn into existence. He gave a dejected sigh and knew he would give in to his daughter once again. Another battle conceded to the pint sized dictator.
“Fine, fine. Have it your way…” He finished washing out Mouse’s hair and he got in the tub leaning his head against the edge while Mouse stood on her stool behind him and began to wash his hair. He listened to her as she sang a song she was making up as she went.
“Washing Papa’s hair… soap’s going everywhere… bubbles, bubbles, smell so pretty… bubble everywhere… Papa, you gonna be so pretty for Mama!”
“Oh yeah? Think she’ll give me a kiss now?” He asked, squeezing his eyes shut so the suds did not get in.
“Uh huh!. Papa can say ‘Mama, I not stinky! Kisses now, please and thank you!’” Mouse said, trying to mimic his deep voice.
“I do not sound like that.”
“Okay, Papa…”
Later that night
Mouse laid sleeping on the futon behind you while you sat on the engawa having a cup of tea with your husband. You turned your head towards him and asked him about something that had been on your mind for hours.
“Why did you use Mouse’s shampoo?”
“She did not give me a choice,” Sukuna grumbled and took a sip of his tea.
“Why did she want you to use it to begin with?”
“She didn’t say she was going to use that scent…”
You arched an eyebrow at him. “So the why of it?”
“It's none of your concern,” Sukuna looked away, but not before you saw the touch of pink on his usually tan cheeks.
“Just tell me,” you said, reaching out a hand to entangle your fingers with one of his larger hands.
“It is not important.”
You yanked on his hand until he gave in and leaned over, kissing your upturned pouty lips 3 soft times like he knew you wanted. He smiled and bumped foreheads with you. Just as he started to deepen the kiss a small voice chimed in sleepily from the darkness behind you.
“Told you so, Papa.”
“What did she tell you?” You asked, amused as you heard her start snoring again. Just like Papa, she has to have the last word…
“She stated that you would give me more kisses if I washed my hair,” he said. He turned away and muttered before taking a drink, “And she called me a stinky head.”
Sukuna glared at you as he heard you start to sputter as you tried to keep your laughter suppressed. “It’s not funny.”
“You’re right, it’s not,” you squeezed his hand before grinning broadly. “Its hilarious.”
“I do not find amusement.”
“Sukuna…” you sighed and moved to sit closer and lean against him. “You should know by now… I will give you kisses whether or not you are a stinky head.”
“I am never a stinky head.”
“Okay, my love whatever you say,” you giggled and looked up at him like he hung the moon. “But even if you were… I’d still kiss you.”
“Damn right.” “As if it was a valid concern,” Sukuna scoffed. "Of course  it wasn't, my love..." you said with a grin, ignoring the glare you could feel him leveling at your head. You just couldn’t help yourself, sometimes he made it too easy. “But if it was…”
