When I first learned about Zelda’s fate in TOTK, I immediately decided that, even if Link didn’t actually turn into a dragon in the game, my version of him had absolutely decided that he would spend the rest of his life with Zelda be they mortal or not. Is it romantic? Is it platonic? Idk. Either way they don’t want to leave their friend to suffer eternity alone again.

It took Link awhile to decide this. The kingdom is thriving. He mentored the new generation in his friends, and they are all now well established leaders of their communities with their own lives and roles. Even if they don’t wish him to go, he will still watch over their accomplishments and protect their beloved Hyrule for eons to come.

After all what use is Courage without Wisdom?

AU where Mineru is Link's companion. Here's my idea:

Mineru has spent so much time in the Purah Pad that she's lost most of her memories and what the original goal was. So she basically follows Link around hoping he'll help jog her memories. Link himself is still trying to recover from his own amnesia, as he doesn't remember most of his previous life.

So it's basically a story of 2 amnesiacs saving the world, remembering their pasts, and connecting over a once-forgotten friend.
