The way y’all victim blame Sarah Bailey is genuinely concerning “Sarah was the true villain of the craft” that’s a 15 year old girl who was essentially Sexually assaulted. Did Nancy have her heart in the right place? Yes but Sarah set a clear boundary with Nancy “don’t hurt him i don’t want you getting involved” and Nancy completely ignored that then proceeded to push her into suicide cause she was rightfully upset with Nancy. Would you tell your friend who you know has a history with suicidal tendencies to kill herself for “betraying you” no obviously you wouldn’t

Doing the Craft Without Spending Money
Since I started practicing the craft, I’ve spent very little money, mainly for an oil/incense burner and some small candles. I make use of everyday items and natural finds:

Witch Bells: Made from broken Christmas decorations I repurposed.

Containers and bottles for magical waters: I clean and reuse lotion bottles and day cream containers to store ingredients. I take off any sticker or label they may have and clean the glue that remains with alcohol and a hard sponge.
I use small bottles from alcoholic drinks, cleaned thoroughly, and tie different colored threads around them to identify the type of water (e.g., moon water, rainwater, sun water).

Candles: I collect leftover wax from candles in a simple plastic tray, then melt and combine it to create a new candle.

Natural Finds: On my walks, I collect plants and stones, then identify them using apps like PlantNet and Rock Identifier. I dry them and put them in small bags, adding a label with the name of each item and store them.

Homemade Incense: I make my own incense using dried lavender and other herbs I gather.
⚠️ Important Safety Guidelines
1. Identification is Key:
Before collecting or burning anything, identify the item and research thoroughly to ensure it is safe.
-Plants: Ensure they are non-toxic and suitable for burning or keeping in your home.
-Stones: Check if they are safe to handle or use in spells (some stones can dissolve in water or release harmful substances).
-Feathers: Be cautious. Avoid touching with bare hands. They can have bacteria and parasites.
2. Avoid Toxic Materials:
Never touch or take anything that might be poisonous or hazardous. When in doubt, leave it.
Cleaning and Preparing Found Items
Wild Herbs:
1. Rinse Gently:
Rinse the herbs under cool running water to remove dirt, dust, and bugs.
2. Disinfect (Optional):
Soak the herbs briefly in a bowl of water with a splash of white vinegar. This helps remove bacteria or pesticides.
3. Dry Thoroughly:
Lay the herbs on a clean towel in a warm, dry spot away from direct sunlight to preserve their natural oils.
4. Storage:
Once completely dry, store in a clean, airtight container away from moisture and light.
Stones and Crystals:
1. Water Cleaning:
Rinse the stone with warm water (if the stone is water-safe; avoid water for stones like selenite or malachite).
2. Salt Bath:
For hard stones, you can soak them in a bowl of sea salt or Himalayan salt for a few hours.
3. Energy Cleansing:
Place the stone under the light of the full moon or smudge it with sage or incense to cleanse its energy.
4. Avoid Harsh Chemicals:
Never use soap or harsh cleaners on stones, as this can damage their surface.
Feathers:
1. Disinfect Safely:
Place the feather in a sealed bag with a small amount of food-grade diatomaceous earth for 24-48 hours to kill any mites or parasites. You can also use a diluted solution of disinfectant and soak the feather for some minutes.
2. Wash Gently:
Soak the feather in warm water with a mild soap or baby shampoo. Avoid scrubbing, as it can damage the feather.
3. Dry Naturally:
Lay the feather flat on a towel and let it air dry completely. You can shape it with a toothbrush you no longer use.
