This is possibly my favorite official art haha! I love when Teru acts a bit childish, it’s both funny and sweet since he never got to be a child when he was one. I like that he’s able to act younger around his friends without rly being judged, it shows that he’s gotten comfortable around them despite the walls he puts up

Okay serious stuff aside this is so silly. Tiara clinging to Nene and Teru mimicking her behavior. It’s even funnier when you notice he’s grabbing Aoi’s purse. Aoi trying to be understanding while Nene looks shocked and Akane is hardcore judging him. I need dialogue for this so bad I can’t even imagine what kind of insults Akane is brewing

I also recently noticed that Fairy is holding onto Aoi’s arm too!! What a clingy family

Tiara is finally finished!!!

I finally started working on her again and finished her outfit and made her cute backpack as well!

And a close up on Fairy ofc bc we can't have the Princess without her slave XD

And ofc the art her outfit is based on!

I had a pare of boots that would have been perfect for her but I can't find them sadly- if I ever do I'll definitely give them to her but her current shoes are ok if I can't find them ^^

Even tho she was pretty simple to make (especially compared to her brothers) I absolutely love her and I think she's so adorable!!!

And with her being complete so is the Minamoto family!!! I have a cat I used to make the Minamoto cat somewhere but I can't find it rn lmao

We're deeper into Spooky Month so Anime Poll

I have 10 episodes left of season 1 of Sailor Moon so I wanna stretch the definition of spooky and half-theme another poll.

If you're new here, I take the decision paralysis out of watching anime by making you do the work.

As always, propaganda* (*rambling) below the poll. You can absolutely reblog if you have strong opinions. You do not have to know me, follow me, like me, or like anime to vote.

Blue Exorcist - Demons, Satan, sibling drama - what's not to love? I've only seen the first season given the huge ass gap between releases.

Zombie Land Saga - My clever button additions for this series has boiled down to various takes on "trans rights" which is very correct of me. Anyway, spooky poll deserves these zombie queens.

Fairy Tail - Not a stretch when there's magic here, so yeah, you Fairy Tail weebs on the Fairy Tail website get to go to battle for your fave again as I promised on the last poll. This option will count for Season 2 of Fairy Tail (Episodes 49-72).

Castlevania - I don't have as much stored up as I do for Free!/50%! Off!, but I will be using BDG's Polygon Unraveled "I wasted 3 weeks of my life finding Castlevania's hottest monster" quotes if this continues to stay in the polls.

The Case Study of Vanitas - I read vol. 1 of the manga and it slaps. It is everything I want in a vampire anime.

Angels of Death - 90% more bandages than Dazai. Probably (if stuff I've heard is accurate, which I imagine it is) also 90% more toxic than Dazai. Traumatize me, nerds!

the monster nursery au is always interesting to me bc i think most people would've thought that hanako and nene would pair up so seein nene and tsukasa was unexpected but considering where we are in the manga it works quite well!

How Aoikane lack circumstances is just amazing. They have so much drama and I have to believe that it's because they're both just such weird kids who love each other so much, but it doesn't work that way. Like, if you don't look at their relationship as a love drama, then it still makes sense, but if you look at it from a Romeo and Juliet point of view...

Aoi is so withdrawn because she's withdrawn (I know she was bullied as a child, I know she's perceived purely for her looks, and her parents are divorced. That's what I'm talking about, she's so withdrawn that it should be her painful trait, special, so to speak, but no one talks about how hard it was for her in the context of her withdrawnness, she's just very secretive and distrustful, so Akane would crack her). And she's like that, purely so that she needs to be pursued, and she would refuse time after time, only because "what if he leaves me too." Your incredibly persistent boyfriend, who has been courting you for three years. What if he suddenly just dumps you, because what if he finds out the real you - you've literally known each other since you were three, really, what doesn't he know? Or how have you been friends all this time without getting close? As children, playing with conventions? What is this? The way Aoi has no will of her own, she almost never speaks directly, shows no emotion, is afraid of everyone, and you want to say that she is an ordinary schoolgirl and it is still fun.

Akane, on the other hand, is so loyal, so stubborn, took it upon himself to be Aoi's personal knight, and also just because? He loves her sooo much that he is ready to do something like this. An ordinary schoolboy suddenly became a hero from a fairy tale, and also because he is such a nice guy.

Their drama is heartbreaking, the stakes are too high, and their reasons for such behavior are just because. Not because their parents forbid them to date, not because one of them is traumatized, or both of them, not because they have some more significant reasons that need to be overcome than just the mistrust of silly Aoi. The conflict may be good, but it does not look good in the current easy conditions without adequate reasons. And when I bring up these reasons, I am told to put them down, because now their relationship does not look like a cute Romeo and Juliet story.

Although you know how good Aoikane is in the new timeline? Where they finally have a reason preventing them from being together that is really hard to overcome - the engagement with Minamoto. Now Aoi will have to act out of duty, now she can't talk about her feelings, but the funny thing is that in this world she talks about them much more freely. Because she grew up with Teru, who pulled her out of her shell and helped her become the girl who refused to leave the red house alone. And considering that the Akane from this world clearly couldn't lay claim to Aoi the same way as before, he probably didn't pester her with confessions and as a result she treats him much more loyally and strives to be with him herself. It's funny, but that's how it is. These are real circumstances, and not "they are like this because it has to be that way." In the new world they are finally those same soft and brave good guys, but this world will be erased and we will return to their original problems, which are passed off as imaginary soft comfort.

Exorcist Aoi Au

Most things in story world stay relatively the same, Aoi still tells Nene about hanako and other school mysteries. She's still childhood friends with Akane and she is still the gardening club president.

The only differences are her relationships with the Minamoto family, yes the whole family and her feelings towards supernaturals. She was there for Teru's mother's funeral. Trained alongside Teru though her training was for her own sake and self-preservation since she still is a (I don't remember) so she is still needs to be extremely careful. She and Teru are usually peered together do to being similar in age and temperament, they don't mind.

I haven't decided on what type of weapons she might have or what her attack style might be, only knowing that I want something that is more hit and run/dodge or long distance and having matching bracelets with Teru (that boy needs a friend). She doesn't tell Akane not wanting him to get involved that idea gets thrown out the window when he becomes a school mystery. Kou calls her Ao-nee since he views her as family he did try to call her Akane-san at school, it didn't pan out since Aoi though he was mad at her when he said it and they agreed to never do that again. She sometimes comes over to their house to help Kou a bit, take Tiara shopping or pick up Teru if he's running late.

I like Aoi's firely, fairy/vine them so made her power/weapons can coincide with that. She'd probably keep a close eye on nene and hanako, since she doesn't want her to get hurt. She did try to investigate Yako and it didn't go according to plan tho, oopsy. Since the Minamoto family's power is more like lightning or "striking" so I want her's to be more "consuming" like the vines or a spreading infection.
