I have a lot of favorite books across various genres!! But here are just a few that popped into my head first as I was looking around my bookshelves. <3

Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel by Virginia Lee Burton

I grew up watching the animated HBO musical adaptation and I've loved the story ever since. As a testament to how much I think about Mike Mulligan and Mary Anne, I wrote a whole post about this immortal man and his magic steed on another blog if you're curious. XD

2. Kitchen Princess by Natsumi Ando and Miyuki Kobayashi

Of course it would be remiss of me not to mention Kitchen Princess~ Thank you again for recommending this manga to me in high school!

This story has it all - romance, mystery, found family, and friendship all driven by a protagonist whose mission in life is to make people smile with her food! It's so wholesome and sweet even when it tries to make me cry, and every time I revisit it I'm filled with the same warm feelings as I was the first time I read it. Honestly, I attribute my affection for cooking/gourmet based media (bonus points if it incorporates recipes into its format) to the impact Kitchen Princess left on me.

3. The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

This one is a coming-of-age story about a couple of working-class kids in 1960's Tulsa, Oklahoma who get jumped by a gang of upper-class kids and are left to process and deal with the ramifications of this long-standing rivalry. There is so much tenderness and vulnerability in this book, and the way these kids and their friends are immediately do or die for each other through it all has me weak.

By this point, it's no secret that I'm a sucker for found families and let me tell you the found family bond this group of boys cultivated to survive in a world that would just as easily leave them behind got to me. The consequences of the socioeconomic divide are cruel, but they have each other and it softens my heart through the tragedy every time.

4. Mimus by Lilli Thal

I blame this one for igniting my interest in jesters. There's something about a historical novel following a young prince who was taken prisoner by a rival king and forced to become a jester-in-training in said rival's court that really gripped me. I think it was the craftiness and subtle tenderness from Mimus that really endeared me to the story.

- don’t overuse different fonts they may not be readable on a few devices

there are discord servers with a lot of aesthetic emojis , dividers , banners , icons and more that you can use to design your server! Make sure that they are all 100% free to use!

5. Create your own banners

- if you’d like to get creative and more unique then consider making your own banners!

6. Find aesthetic bots

here are some cool bird facts!

Roadrunners (Geococcyx spp.) are related to cuckoos! They're in the family Cuculidae. Below that, they are in the New World ground cuckoo subfamily, Neomorphinae. There are only 2 genera of brood parasitic cuckoos in the Americas, Dromococcyx and Tapera.

Many species of birds have an eye color change around the time they reach sexual maturity! For example, the species I'm writing my dissertation on, the white-eyed vireo (Vireo griseus) has dark grey eyes as a juvenile, and only when they reach adulthood do they get their eponymous white eyes.

Both male and female northern cardinals (Cardinalis cardinalis) sing! A female may even sing while she is sitting on the nest! Cardinal pairs spend a lot of time together and are constantly communicating, whether that's a contact call (are you here? I'm here!) or something more complex!

Northern mockingbirds (Mimus polyglottos) are a much beloved bird for their gregarious personalities and amazing mimicry abilities! They are the state bird of 5 states (the 3rd highest number, behind northern cardinal at 7 and western meadowlark (Sturnella neglecta) at 6). When they mimic other birds' songs, they follow a pattern, usually repeating the mimicked sound 3 or 5 times. They are often seen doing a "wing flash" display with the white patches on their wings, but scientists are still untangling exactly what this behavior does or communicates.

Hi! This is a blog dedicated to "RFA", a Mystic Messenger Roleplay Discord server, created recently and slowly growing in number. There are currently 20 members and the staff is currently conformed by only two people (mod applications are available until 4/25).

In regards of the roleplay, you can either choose a canon character or make your own original character for the RP. You can apply for a character making a submission, which consists on basic data of your desired character, personality description, appearance description/reference, and a roleplay sample. You can also add a backstory if you're submitting an OC. Currently you can have up to 2 characters per user, and it to be either 1 RFA canon, 1 Another Story canon, 1 RFA oc, or 1 Mint Eye oc.

Currently Available Characters: (Characters that are already taking will appear crossed out. List will be edited everytime a new character is taken.)

[Another story characters]: V Saeran Rika (if anybody wants her i'll drop her bc i don't really like rping as her lol, i just do it to complete the cast) Vanderwood

Plot:

Same base as the original game, with the difference that Rika's appartment is more house-like, and has enough rooms for several MCs. The RFA chatroom was hacked, letting a lot of random people access the app. These people were tricked into going to Rika's house and now they're all staying there while 707 tries to fix the app and fight the hacker. The MCs are able to leave the house up to four hours per day to buy groceries, visit other characters or whatever they like. We also got the Mint Eye believers. Each one of them has a number code (i. e., A306) and a role inside of the cult. They have a lot more freedom than the RFA OCs, as long as they don't rebel against Rika and do their job.

Plot is better detailed in the server.

Torsdag 22. Februar: Bowling med guttene

Det foregår entrance exams på alle skolene rundt om i Tokyo, så det betyr at vi har fri til fra skolen helt til neste tirsdag. Japanske skoleelever er opptatte med å studere så dro ut for å henge med de nye utvekslingsstudent-vennene mine. <3

Blir bare så overrasket over hvor mye noen enkelte folk spiser… spesielt tenåringsgutter. Da vi først møttes dro vi på Ramen restaurant, der det var gratis påfyll på nudler så mye du ville. Jeg og Kristoffer spiste bare gyoza da, men Vincent tror jeg tok påfyll 4 ganger og Arthur 2. Etter ramen dro vi på rullebånd sushi der Vincent var grei og bestilte mange ting til meg, men jeg er jo på diett så endte jo opp med at han måtte fint spise det opp selv.

Om du trodde vi var ferdige der så var vi ikke det. Imens jeg, Kristoffer og Yō dro på Starbucks for å kjøpe drikke, dro de andre to på Mr.Donuts og kjøpte seg 2 donuts hver. Endelig etter alt dette var vi på vei til Bowling som egentlig var grunnen for at vi møttes i dag. Vi 3 som dro på starbucks tok heisen opp til 4. etasjen, men det tok mer enn forventet lang tid for de som gikk trappen. Da de endelig kom opp viste det seg at de hadde gått forbi McDonalds på veien og bestilt seg sånn Japansk Apple Pie som de bare har på Mc’ern her i Japan.

Bowling var gøy. Vi spilte to runder, og selv om jeg tapte ganske mye første runden fikk jeg andre plass runde nr.2.

På tirsdag sluttet vi tidlig på skolen. Veldig tildig, så dro først på Mc’ern og kjøpte oss burger, så på butikken for å kjøpe snacks til å ha på Karaoke. Karaoke på tom mage går ikke. Dro sammen med Yukki fra tennis, og vennene hennes Mimu og Chiho som også er blitt mine venner.
