Ahmed (@save-ahmed-family) has asked me to write a post for him because he is afraid of losing his wife and daughter. He has already lost his beloved mother during this genocidal war. His mother was ill and was waiting to receive life-saving medical treatment. But because of the lack of medical resources in Gaza due to the bombing, and the inability to evacuate his family out of Gaza, his mother has sadly passed away.

After the lost of his mother, Ahmed became really afraid for his wife and young daughter. With all the bombing, the lack of basic necessities like food, water and medical resources, death surrounds them every day. Ahmed just wants to protect his wife and his little girl, but he can't do this on his own. With the high prices of basic necessities in Gaza and the inhumanely high evacuation fees for those who want to live, Ahmed does not have the funds to protect them.

Please help them! Ahmed just want to get his family out of Gaza before death reaches them. He has already lost his mother, please help him make sure he won't lose his daughter and wife as well!

its really really fucked up that people in the northern hemisphere think? assume? are told? that the ozone hole closed & went away forever & isnt a problem anymore

the ozone hole closes and opens every year and at no point has it stopped. 2020 was one of the worst years on record for both size and length of opening. there has been a trend downwards over the last decade, but the ozone hole absolutely didnt stop being a problem. aotearoa and australia have the world's worst rates of skin cancer. (australia's number is higher overall, but aotearoa is higher per capita.)

i dont really have any kind of moral to this post just please be aware that the ozone hole is very much still a problem and not something you can put in the 'solved' basket. it still massively affects the lives of people in the far south and the idea that it's permanently closed is false.

(please do not ask me any followup questions i am not some kind of scientician im just a guy who got sunburned through jeans one time on a long car trip)

this post means nothing to you people BUT

gray triggerfish smell so fucking weird inside. i had to take ovary samples from them last summer and every time you snipped into their body cavity it was this stench of citrusy-floor cleaner. they have this incredibly off-putting chemical smell inside and it doesn’t seem like an animal should be able to produce such an artificial smell. this knowledge is my burden.

thinking about how much the narrative is like richard has never had a friend besides gareth up until this point and he idealizes love and the stories that he’s heard about love. and its just like. when you’re that inexperienced and that desperate to feel it and to be in a relationship you’re going to have trouble differentiating between platonic and romantic love. and its like suddenly a woman is into him. possibly for the first time in his life. and it feels different than with madalena because he’s not trying to coax her into his idea of love. instead bobby is the one initiating which is new and exciting and never happened before so he goes for it. even though it takes three bottles of wine for him to get it up and he like cries a whole bunch. and like this happened because of the adrenaline from galavant dying and coming back. and then there’s the looming threat of death overhead anyways because theyre preparing to fight in a war so there’s some of that now or never desperation on top. desperation that can disguise a lack of any true feeling or attraction. and i just know that as soon as the two of them are living alone with no sign of gareth or galavant in sight (two men richard feels unlimited affection for). all of the pep in richard is going to be running on the idea of love and the idea of being in a relationship and he’s going to float along none the wiser because his only other romantic relationship was with madalena meanwhile bobby is going to slowly come to the realization that this is hollow and askew and that feeling is going to suffocate her until she gets desperate and runs away
