Okay so here’s the promised colored version.
Sam’s scale color is based off of his jacket. He’s the only one of the two who can change back to normal so everything has to be hidden. Some times he gets pretty down about not being able to walk the streets to buy groceries, but then Max just does something funny or bites him and Sam feels better.
Max is the werewolf and by proxy the wild ball of extra fluff. He can become normal if he wants, but in his words “boring is normal and I can’t have Sam with me. Soooo extra boring”
