Does most of your makeup melt off of your face before the day's even started? Makeup tips for OILY Skin!

Prep:

Before applying makeup, tone your skin with a toner, or Dickens Witch Hazel. 

Many makeup gurus swear by milk of magnesia. Try applying some to your face before your foundation.

Applying:

Ignore anyone who tells you to steer clear of dewy makeup. If you wear liquid makeup, don't forget to use a setting powder/spray that can come in a matte, or dewy finish. If you're short on setting spray, use Johnson's Baby Powder for the same effect! (yes, even for dark skin, ladies!!)

Maintaining:

Never leave the house without either:

blotting sheets

travel-size setting powder (or the mini-baby powders that can be found in the dollar section of almost anywhere!)

If you find yourself in a pinch without any of your oil-control items: try using toilet seat cover. Yes, it sounds extremely weird, but 1/10 of your friends have probably done this before. (Just make sure your using the right side, which will be less shiny). Or, if that's too much for you to handle, use Starbucks napkins. Something about their recyclable paper napkins have oil-absorbing capabilities! So next time you swing by for a Vanilla Bean Frap, pick up some napkins and keep them in a sanitary place in your purse!
