this fic has been on my mind for literal years - just to give you an idea of how long it's been, it was originally supposed to be a quarantine fic; however, when i sat down to write it, i decided the whole lockdown aspect of it wasn't strictly necessary, and the story would make sense either way. lots of different inspirations had a part in this, but i can't really go on about that aspect that much because i'd inevitably end up spoiling the whole thing. so i guess you'll just have to read and see ;)

Future European Strategic Command and Control System Led by Indra Passes Its Toughest Test

The first real military manoeuvres of the new EU Rapid Deployment Capacity carried out under the command of the Spanish Armed Forces during the MILEX-23 exercise enabled Indra and its industrial partners to demonstrate the capabilities of the future European Command and Control Systems by reproducing the planning of a major mission such as the one being carried out off the coast of Cadiz and mobilising no fewer than 3,000 troops from 19 countries. The core team members of the EC2 (European Command and Control) European Defence Fund project, made up of Leonardo, Eviden, LuxGovSat, and Thales Edisoft and coordinated by Indra, were transferred to the Juan Carlos I aircraft carrier to deploy a command and control centre connected to the main HQ set up in Brussels and work on the concurrent planning of a large-scale amphibious landing such as the one taking place off the coast of Cadiz.

I feel like people who find milex shippers ‘scary’ ignore that the core of milex is their friendship. they’ve both said they trust each other more than anything and that their bond is special. that’s milex- being able to love and trust one another entirely, regardless of it being platonic or sexual.
