I'm playing through Ishin and every time I think of Okita my brain goes brrrrr at an alarming velocity. It might be a problem, tbh. I love that feral gremlin too much.

Inspired by the Saejima ask, could we have some HCs for Okita teaching his S/O so to defend herself? Would he just teach her the basics, or would he also have her learn some basic sword/dagger techniques just to be extra safe...and maybe it's a little bit of a turn on to see your girlfriend with a sword. (+ some NSFW if you're cool with it)

More Ishin posting let's fucking goooooOOO, yes you may have more Okita, we can never have too much, no such thing as too much! Headcanons below, mwah.

Unlike Nagakura who thinks it's kind of cool and hot that his S/O wants to learn self defense, Okita has the opposite reaction. He's like "Whaddya mean, protect yourself? That's what I'm for." Not that he wants his partner to be constantly relying on him but he does kind of like to be protective.

Once he sees that you really do want to learn this, he'll volunteer to do it, mostly because in his mind "If ya really wanna learn, then ya may as well learn to do it right. Lemme show ya."

Is it secretly a ploy to make sure no other guy is putting his hands on you while showing you the ropes? Maybe. Totally. He'll never tell!

Okita isn't actually typically that jealous but he does actually think that if you're going to learn, you may as well learn from someone you already know who also happens to be experienced. Plus, an excuse for physical closeness.

You might even get away with doing your training on Shinsengumi grounds, and he'd love to just show you off in front of all the others.

Okita would start you out with the basics, although his teaching style is eccentric to say the least. He wouldn't hestitate to have some of his men step in for him to "show" you how it's done, which he gets a kick out of and they're mildly terrified by.

Speaks very bluntly, saying things like "When your back is against the wall, ya gotta slash 'em with everything ya got!" while grinning wildly. Hijikata thinks he sounds insane, but he keeps his mouth shut and just shakes his head as he passes by during a training session. Todo thinks it's really funny.

Once you have the basics, then Okita starts breaking out what he would refer to as "Soji Special Moves". No one else does these things except for him. He's kind of showing off a little bit at this point.

What surprises HIM is that you're an eager and quick learner. You needed some guidance on the basics but honestly he should've expected that you'd be able to handle it once you knew the bare minimum. After knowing him for so long and being so close to him, it was only natural that these things would seep into your own life.

The other captains think it's pretty cool that you can handle yourself, meanwhile Okita is busy thinking about the fact that he didn't realize he could find someone holding a sword attractive? His brain has stopped working now.

Nagakura notices this the most and will kind of poke him to snap him out of his stupor from watching you practice against a dummy made of straw in the back of HQ by yourself. Nagakura will kind of laugh, saying something like "Whatcha lookin' at? Must be real interesting."

I don't fully recall what originally prompted this - probably a discussion with @shyyren tbh - but found this among my lists! Basically trying to consider if the other legendkeepers had ended up in Ritsu's shoes in Legends: Arceus - specifically being banished from Jubilife Village.

Satsuki - hurt, teary, 'I worked hard, I didn't do anything wrong here, this isn't fair' type of angle. Takes being escorted with some grace but is Dissatisfied with the outcome

Ren - 'haha wow Kamado you had me going, didn't take you for a prankster b-- oh. Oh you're serious. Oh, mb. ......can I at least take my gear with me on my way out?' Handles being escorted compliantly enough

Aya - pulls Rex on Rose level violence, but gets Thrown since Kamado has far more years of training. Takes the escort kicking and screaming the whole way

Maciel - shoots some counter retorts, may stare down Kamado for a moment before giving up on it. Storms out

Touya - Disappointed™️ in Kamado. It doesn't change anything but Kamado walks away somehow feeling lowkey chastised even if Touya doesn't argue too much against it /silly. Takes the escort with no complaints so long as they let him get the egg gear and eggs bc you Know he'd introduce this concept Immediately

Lena - either slaps or just hits him once across the face*. Expresses that he is a terrible leader, to make such a decision when it has proven time and again that working together is The Solution - including alongside pokemon. Leaves without further fuss but has clearly lost respect for Kamado.

Kimmie - v loud, full of disbelief and indignant at this turn of events. Might make a comment about how following superstitions won't get them anywhere. Fussy about being escorted out but goes with it

Xav - meets Kamado with a deadeye stare from start to finish. Leaves without a word.

Rex - see Aya above. Only slightly less feral as he's escorted out

Aspen - if he makes it this far? Cries. Leaves village still crying

Natsumi - seems mildly inconvenienced and leaves without much fuss (is actually a lot more upset than they let on)

*I do think with Kamado's training she wouldn't normally get one in, BUT - Lena also does not seem like the type to do this in the slightest (unlike Aya or Rex) so I figure she gets one in on the grace of it being so out of nowhere.

Bonus round since this prompt predates a few of the cast:

Sumire - Like Aspen, may not get this far (though she'd get furthest out of the ones who Wouldn't)- but if she does, starts crying mixed with an anxiety attack, but is also angry in the midst of all that. Wants to retort or make some well-thought out point like the others but it most likely gets lost in stuttering and sobbing, unfortunately. Lets herself get escorted just calmly enough to barely hold back further sobbing/hyperventilating.

Dust - would likely get further than Aspen, but again is unlikely to get this far. If they do, they're stunned speechless for most of the Commander's decree. Most likely the type to be like "you can't do this to me" once she finds her words - not necessarily in an aggrandizing fashion, but definitely wasn't expecting this, with some level of pleading mixed in. Leaves the village in a state of shock, moving slowly and likely has to be urged to hurry up.

Troy - she gives Commander Kamado an icy stare through it all - and most likely had seen this coming. Is not surprised, but is still very bitter. She likely makes a sharp comment about the village getting on without her help, and is annoyed at the escort because it holds her back from leaving in a huff if anything.

Realistically, I think the people least likely to get through the PLA plot far enough to reach this point include Aspen, Dust, Touya, Ren, and Sumire - in approximate order of who'd drop out soonest. Several of them (Aspen, Dust and Touya) are not really serious battlers/trainers without the right influences, and even those who do (Ren and Sumire) either don't quite meet challenge levels as readily/easily as other champions do, and/or may not be suited to the trials Hisui specifically offers.

gonna yap about a couple different ones under the cut :3

OK FIRST. royalty au with isagi aka my favorite thing in the whole wide world. i chose to have isagi in particular as my knight. i watched a series of duels to choose who would protect me (in theory, to find the strongest one and choose him) and isagi stood out because he would NOT back down no matter how outmatched he was. a lot of people questioned the decision but i stuck with my gut (also he's hot how could i not want a hot knight).

cue months upon months of hellish pining. "it's absolutely disgusting how obsessed they are with each other, and then they have the audacity to pretend like they aren't in love" said one of the other knights. isagi is hesitant to accept his feelings but is definitely not hesitant to teach me some swordfighting basics (i love mildly gay sparring). hellish pining evolves into a secret relationship that goes on for quite a while until reo (my younger brother in this AU) catches us and we realize that this is Not Working. i spontaneously and informally propose that evening.

isagi does the official and ✨shmancy✨ proposal a few weeks later at a dinner aimed to find me a wife: it causes a bit of scandal but hey, i did find someone to marry, so... mission accomlpished? and happily ever after <33

BUT WHAT ABOUT CANON-COMPLIANT???? i've got that too :DDD

isagi and i were classmates before he got dragged off to blue lock, i tutored him in math and science and we both had the HUGEST crushes on each other but didn't get the chance to confess before he got drafted into the soccer program. he tried ridiculously hard to get his phone back at the start of the program so he could text me and reassure me that: 1) he didn't hate me, 2) yes he was safe, 3) he just got taken to soccer jail to pursue his dreams. we were both certain we screwed up the potential romance of a century at that point.

but for the U-20 match i PULLED UP. i even had a little sign with his name on it. and while we couldn't properly see each other, the gesture didn't go unnoticed and we ended up spending a lot of time together when he was on break (that's when he confessed). the rest of the blue lock guys are lowkey disgusted by how smitten isagi is, they're convinced that his relationship is going to be what stops him from reaching his goals (incorrect assumption).

tbh it's just a really awkward pseudo-long-distance relationship until isagi gets released from soccer jail. once he's on an official team i'm his number one supporter, always turning up in his spare jerseys and getting VIP front row seating so he can wave excitedly to me after scoring a goal :3

Ok I totally want to hear more about this survivors au/Delores is real! How do the siblings handle having this different version of Five? Five may be better adjusted but he still has to heard his family around like a bunch of stray cats. What happens when Hazel and Cha Cha show up? How do they find out that Vanya causes the apocalypse and how does Five handle that revelation?!

here is the thing, i think the survivors au has the potential to be HILARIOUS

no one knows how to handle a well-adjusted five, and this absolutely includes the commission

So you mentioned Hazel and Cha-Cha?? Five in this au was not nearly as absolutely feral as he is in the show bc he knows how to interact with people - he was raised by a competent adult and a weird best friend and they occasionally saw other survivors as well

the other funny thing is that Five is competent passing - he is well adjusted emotionally but functionally?? Hazel is out there complaining about dental being cut and office parties and budgets and Five is there sipping his drink having never filed taxes in his life. Five doesn't know what the fuck a dental plan is, he was a child soldier and then lived in an apocalypse.

So please picture for me Hazel being like "okay I know corporate wants us to keep what we're being paid to ourselves but fuck that, workers unite, what do you get paid as a legend old timer?"

and five is like "you're getting paid? i get to not get tossed back into the apocalypse, I think"

"but what about expense forms? what about medical care?"

"I'm like 80% sure i'm being experimented on, actually." Five says nonchalantly, "Don't get me wrong, my idea of medical care is fucked by being a child soldier but I'm pretty sure regular people don't have electrodes attached to their heads every time they get a checkup. Could be wrong though! My ex-dad used to monitor my brainwaves while I slept so like, my idea of appropriate shit is fucked, you know?"

This is a Five who was raised by Rick, he is polite to his coworkers. If Dot asked him if he wanted to grab lunch, Five would have gone and grabbed lunch with her or politely said that he couldn't.

Cha Cha only ever talks to Five when she wants to talk shop, so they've had a couple of conversations about weapons but not much else tbh, Hazel just tends to be more personable

So when they're sent after Five, Hazel is much more hesitant to kill who he perceives as a "work friend" and also is definitely thinking about all the times Five casually revealed a way the commission was being highkey shady about him, such as the potential experimentation, no pay, working under duress etc. He's much more easily turned against the commission because he's even more primed to say "fuck the commission" than he is in canon

Hazel out here like "how did Five break his contract when Five wasn't even being paid? I kind of want to read it."

Hazel out here like "I would unionize if I didn't think the commission was anti-union enough to send literal assassins after me if I suggested it :/"

meanwhile with the siblings

Five just. talks over them a lot and makes so much sense that it's actually really hard to argue with him, and he's weirdly considerate of his family's obligations

Like Diego is like "i have to go see Patch" then Five is like "that's great I'm proud of you buddy, it would actually be really handy to have some law enforcement read into the situation if you think she's up to the task. that goes for everyone by the way! If y'all have people you trust, more bodies would be super helpful I think"

the entire family, collectively, who have like zero trusted social links: uhhhhhhhh

Diego, with this weird permission, probably?? Does? Awkwardly attempt to read Patch into the situation? Patch is, obviously, like "what the fuck, Diego" but probably goes with him to the mansion (????????) because she's concerned and then meets his fucking whacko family with their superpowers and suddenly everything is 100% more realistic

Five is just like "yes hello I'm aware I look like a child, i'm actually in my late 50s or early 60s (apocalypse time amiright) because of time travel stuff. Yes I am Five Hargreeves who went missing in like 2002 or whatever. anyway it's lovely to meet you, i'm so glad diego has someone he trusts, and considering my sibling's shifty looks when i told them to invite anyone they trusted this genuinely makes me concerned that Diego is the most socially well-adjusted of them."

"That cannot be possible." Patch says, like someone who has met Diego Hargreeves.

"You haven't met the rest." Five says sympathetically, "In our defense we were raised in isolation as child soldiers."

"That... explains so much." Is all Patch can say to that, "But you seem..."

"I'm adopted." Five waves away.

"We're ALL adopted." Diego grits out, very aggrieved by this and also not sure if he likes the fact that Patch seems friendly with Five, or at least is listening to him?

"I'm double adopted."

However! With the recruitment of Patch, herding Diego becomes like 90% easier.

Honestly the worst to herd are probably Luther and Allison? Luther because he's Number One and resents Five taking charge and also resents Five's casual dismissal of Reginald and also suspects that Five (or at least the commission) has something to do with Reginald's death?

Allison because she is torn between following Luther and helping him and helping Five but also calling Patrick and Claire at every possible moment while ALSO trying to repair her relationship with Vanya. She's flighty - she'd bail on a Five-apocalypse-assignment if Vanya mentioned being hungry or if Luther called or anything like that

Vanya likes to be included and, if asked, would probably drop as many current obligations as she can. Like she would probably cancel her teaching if Five genuinely and sincerely asked her for her help, which he does because he's 100% sure Dolores would manifest in front of him and smack him if he dared even imply someone without powers wouldn't be helpful

Vanya is like "I'm not sure if i'll be helpful - I don't have powers ):" and Patch is like "wtf are you talking about - my superpowers are Gun, Backup, and Reading Comprehension and i am like the most useful member of this team right now"

Vanya gets a confidence boost just from hanging out with Patch honestly, I think they should be friends

Klaus is thrilled to be included are you kidding?? He says he does it for money but he's just happy to be there and also as one of the most emotionally intelligent siblings he is mildly concerned about the fact that Five looks like he's about to cry and also emotes

Five also gives Klaus positive reinforcement, hugs, and Five absolutely weaponizes the I'm not mad, but I believe that you can do better and I'm going to give you more chances because I love you and fully believe that next time you'll be amazing way that Rick used on him.

I feel like Five ends up saying something along the lines of "I understand that x is really important, and we're definitely going to look into it. Is it something that needs to be addressed right now, or is it something that can wait until after April 1st? If it can wait, I can write it down here on this list so we don't forget. If it can't wait then we can figure out a time to address it and help you" a lot

Like Grace malfunctioning and potentially killing Reginald?

"We don't have to make this decision right now." Five says patiently, "Because Grace is a robot, we have some options. Living with a robot who is potentially malfunctioning and homicidal is dangerous, but Luther saying that means admitting that Reginald might have made a mistake or error with Grace's programming or upkeep. I haven't been here for a long time, but I remember Reginald being very precise. Regardless, this isn't a choice between permanently shutting her off or not. We can shut her down temporarily until we can fully address the issue. We can ask and see if there is a 'system reboot' option or some sort of system check that Grace can undergo. We can try find and hire an expert to take a look at her programming to find the issue."

Five gives this speech while like, organizing the weaponry in the house on a table very nonchalantly

Five out here making buzzer noises at his siblings arguments like "yeah no that's a false dichotomy and a strawman's argument, want to try again?"

(Look apocalypse nights were long and they had games that were literally about arguing pointless shit like ranking types of chairs or the best way to break out of a prison without powers and things could get heated)

"Who died and made you boss?" Luther demands.

"Uh, the world? Were you not listening?" Five asks, looking very purposefully confused.

It gets even MORE delightful when Five reads Rick into the situation because a) he promised and b) his siblings really have like, no connections jeeze

Rick fully believes that this is his son from the future, like Five introduced himself, but Five skipped out on a few key details. Such as being adopted.

So Rick spends a solid chunk of time just staring at Five, who looks basically nothing like him, trying to think like, who is his mother ???? if we save the world will Five stop existing? why would I name my child 'Five'? Does everyone have powers in the future? was there like... a radioactive apocalypse? would radiation give future humans superpowers? when did my life turn into a comic book? am i even allowed to ask these questions? will knowledge of the future fuck things up?

and then when Five comes back and is like "what is up everyone this is my dad Rick who will be joining us, he doesn't have any memories of me thanks to time travel but if anyone is mean to him i WILL kneecap them"

"Your DAD?"

Five does kidney punch Klaus for saying that Rick is a DILF but otherwise everyone just is like, warily looking at this Normal Dad Man in confusion because?? This is the dude who raised Five, who they watched take out like an entire commission team by himself yesterday? He looks so. Normal.

Rick is very confused and like, wonders if he's supposed to be the team mascot? But Five keeps involving him and asking his opinion and in return Rick enforces snack breaks and makes everyone sandwiches and has gentle talks with everyone

Every time Five notices someone about to blow he just lovingly makes sure that that person is alone in a room with Rick

Luther ends up crying on the sofa with Rick gently patting his back as Rick calmly states that Luther seems like he's put a lot of time and effort into his family and making his father proud and that since Reginald isn't here to say it, Rick will have to be the one to say that he's proud and that they've been dropped into a difficult and stressful situation - so soon after Reginald's death when they're still grieving! - and he's doing so well

Luther, experiencing unconditional positive paternal regard for the first time in his life: i don't know why i'm crying so much

honestly this is just a comedy of juggling the gang, having impromptu therapy sessions and discussions, investigating the apocalypse and the eye, leonard trying to meet vanya continuously and failing because she's constantly surrounding by family or rick/patch, the commission trying their best to bust up the dream team/isolate Vanya/kill or remove Five, while Hazel lives out his romcom dreams with Agnes and also says "fuck the commission"

convoluted superheroes but make it disaster lineage au, some thoughts on their origin stories and how they would become a team:

no, this isn’t necessarily a marvel au because i feel like crossing.......the mcu and star wars, which are already big franchises, just messes with my head? plus,,,,the mcu just has such distinct character archetypes that i can’t really fit neatly with the clone wars, so here’s just a super convoluted au that could honestly just work as an entirely different story on its own and probably only has enough in common with tcw by like,,,,a thread, but ANYWAYS I AM HERE WITH MORE THOUGHTS OF AN AU AND YOU JUST HAVE TO SUFFER WITH ME!

okay, so anakin’s story is kinda bizarre: 

i mean, he’s the chosen one in star wars and all that with all these freaky far-reaching abilities with the force so i’m not gonna take that away from him--so idk in this universe i’m just gonna say that he’s gonna be like....a mimic. i feel like he would be the kind of person who just steps into a room and absorbs / can mimic the abilities of any other powered human in the room, only like,,,amplify it. he’s tricky to catch because of that, because no one knows what power he might absorb next. 

but i feel like while anakin can certainly show off with this, i think he’ll also at least attempt to be a little private about this? (lmao we know he’s gonna fail though, because  ily anakin  but you’re the worst at keeping secrets). i feel like he would compensate for all the fancy gadgets + stuff, or sometimes just swing into rooms and be like “anyways guys i came up with a new thing” and everyone always stares at him because for some reason, everyone forgets that anakin skywalker is, in fact, a genius who doesn’t necessarily need his powers to be extraordinarily powerful. there’s more to him than just his weird powers, you guys. 

right, so obi-wan: 

every superhero team needs the wise intellectual, and i feel like obi-wan will always be that one person. i feel like his powers would have to complement anakin’s rather well though, since they’re,,,y’know. the team. oh wait shit-- 

okay okay okay (sorry, this is me really just kinda liveblogging my stream of consciousness), but like?? if anakin can amplify powers, i think of obi-wan being the one to muffle them. like, i feel like just touching someone and suddenly boom, no more powers. you’re now forced to fight obi-wan on even ground (lmao). obi-wan doesn’t necessarily absorb the powers like himself, he just...knows how to quiet them enough so that for the next little while, the opponent is absolutely useless. 

i feel like a lot of people wind up underestimating obi-wan that way,,,at first. everyone makes that mistake, but then everyone realizes that oh yeah, anakin skywalker? dangerous dude. but obi-wan kenobi? if you don’t catch where you’re looking, you could very well end up dead if he wanted. 

our feral gremlin ahsoka: 

well, every team needs the youngster who everyone on the team loves, right? idk maybe it’s because of the togruta biology and something about togruta being more balanced than like,,,humans that makes me want ahsoka to be the ultimate stealth person. when i say this, i mean like duh she’s got incredible balance, but i think it would be super cool if she was able to just like.........move through walls. no one ever sees her coming because first of all, she’s kinda small, but second of all,,,,again: you could just be chilling at your computer and suddenly there’s a short girl standing behind you because she just phased through the wall what the-- 

like most teenage superheroes, ahsoka def. seems kinda excited about being the superhero? also mildly exhausted. idk dude, you try doing calc homework and writing a history paper when you’re also trying to keep the world from being taken over by....robots or zombies or whatever. 

some other thoughts that i have but have yet to flesh out because i should probably actually get back to work now: 

rex also absolutely has superpowers, but don’t you dare call him a sidekick. idk why, but i kinda want rex to be one of those people who creates literal earthquakes, kind of like quake from agents of shield. 

cody’s sole superpower is putting up with all the bullshit the rest of the team has. he doesn’t really care he doesn’t have powers, and tbh, everyone’s mildly terrified of the day cody ever gets hit with a freak accident that might make him have powers.

ahsoka goes to the high school nearby the school. she absolutely did not mean to meet anakin and obi-wan and rex, but okay, she just saw the fire in the school library and someone had to pull the students out, so it had to be her, and she might have tried to pull obi-wan and anakin out before obi-wan accidentally muffled her powers and then anakin got her powers, and then they were all SCREECHING AT EACH OTHER BECAUSE

okay so i'm just gonna shit out my entire plot because tbh this fic is getting very long and idk if i'll ever finish it (it's me we're talking abt here) so here's the gist of the thing:

in this au weiss is abt 20-21 and is getting very involved with the SDC trying to constantly undermine jacques and his Shitty Ideas, and because jacques wants to make whitley his direct heir he decides to just. get rid of weiss. just get rid of her. so he orchestrates a kidnapping with the plan of them killing weiss and leaving her body in the permafrost in the wilds of mantle, before faking a whole ransom scenario, later "finding" the body, and then accusing either the white fang/mantle of the murder depending on whoever he fancies at the time! so he gets his personal security to drag weiss out of bed, get her in a truck, take her down to mantle, kill her, and then start the whole 'oh no my child :( my child :( has been :( kidnapped :(((' skit. by all means this should have been taking candy from a baby, esp cause weiss doesn't even have her aura unlocked or anything.

ENTER: CINDER FALL

(okay this got long i'm popping this under a cut)

so cinder's in solitas doing her shit and whilst coming back from........................ some business merc spots an SDC van fuckin BOOKIN IT across the tundra and is like 'hey. think something's in there'. and cinder who is always down 2 clown is like 'let's find out' and so they stop the van, are mildly surprised that all the people in the van are armed, and decides oh shit, this has to be something fucking juicy.

cinder is instantly like 'oh? a kidnapped heiress? well there's ransom money to be made here' and so cinder kidnaps weiss (weiss: r u jokin me rn) and takes her to her solitas compound to wait for news of the kidnapping to come in. except... weird thing... it doesn't???

“So, what, it hasn’t been reported?” she asks, and Cinder hums behind her. “Well, that would be my conclusion, but the more pressing question is why.” Cinder swings some of Weiss’s hair around and onto her shoulder, gently coaxing Weiss to turn just a little. “The heiress to the Schnee Dust Company gets stolen from her own home in the middle of the night, with evidence sure to have been left behind, and yet there’s nothing on the news? Darling, if so much as a hair on your head was harmed in any other circumstance, I could only imagine the worldwide outrage on the matter.”

huh. weird.

anyway merc tracks back the biometric data from one of the scrolls from one of weiss's original kidnappers and finds out, uh-oh! babey that's some ESS-DEE-CEE security guy! and so after that it all collapses together and cinder realises that weiss is involved in some sort of internal kidnapping which means it hasn't been reported because jacques now doesn't know if weiss is even dead WHICH MEANS HE WAS NEVER GOING TO PAY ANY RANSOM WHICH MEANS SHE HAS A WHOLE PERSON HERE WHO ISN'T WORTH ANYTHING.

so after that cinder arranges to send an anonymous tip about the truck (which she burnt with the bodies) and figures if jacques wants an easy way out, he'll pay off the police and coroner to claim that weiss's body was within the wreckage, and if he doesn't, he'll claim she's still missing. well he sure wants an easy way out!!! cause he does, in fact, as predicted, pay off the police and coroner to find a fourth mysterious body... wrow...

anyway now weiss is technically dead and a free woman, but cinder tells her she wants the equivalent in ransom money she would have gotten from weiss somehow, and because weiss is now, uh, dead, and has no money (because she's dead), the only way is for weiss to work for cinder! and so they go to vytal so weiss can start working for cinder!

admittedly i haven't planned too much detail past this bit... i do now that cinder unlocks weiss's aura so she doesn't instantly die in the first encounter they have, and so weiss has to start puzzling out her semblance (which belongs to a dead person), but most importantly cinder starts taking care of weiss and ends up taking a liking to this feral little heiress, and weiss kind of... unhealthily ends up relying on cinder to keep her anchored because Yikes Her Own Father Tried To Kill Her And She's Legally Dead!!! anyway as cinder and weiss get closer weiss realises they're transmasc and non-binary, that they really don't know what they'd do without cinder who constantly seems to just be there when they need it, and they gradually end up in a relationship that is............... woof (arf). well the relationship comes first. then cinder renames weiss to Aufeis and decides that aufeis needs to have a firm hand to replace jacques's stranglehold on them (because they're now cast adrift) and it turns into petplay and then aufeis becomes cinder's full-time guard dog!!!!!! HOORAY!!!!!!

(also after that point blake and velvet [who are white fang folk] get involved BECAUSE I'M MEEEE BECAUSE I'M MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE AND I NEED MY FRAPP IF I DON'T GET FRAPP I'LL DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and anyway it gets rly horny from here on out HGDSFHJGKDFS)

Anyway specifically on the Bucky point, that will probably be multiple posts because there’s actually 3 distinct breeds of plotbunny in there:

My own cheesy take on an angsty prompt I’ve seen used in at least 2 separate fics, which was: “Stony is established, and Steve gets so involved with helping Bucky post-rescue that he neglects Tony.” (But AA flavored for me of course, CA:CW can fuck off so that’s 90% of the angst gone right there)

A series of silly vignettes where Bucky is still in Angry Assassin Mode (not brainwashed, just emo), and lurks around getting rid of things that might mildly inconvenience Steve, in comically intense ways. This includes aggressively facilitating Stony Moments. 

Three variations of, “Steve, Tony, and Bucky get snowed in and must huddle for warmth,” because bunnies do breed like that.
