AND LET ME BE CLEAR!! if you have the just head hurty kinda migraines, you are still an absolute trooper that shit is PAINFUL! and your debilitation is just as valid 🫡🫡🫡 but all im saying is when i go 'i can't do my homework for migraine reasons' and if you 'just take pain killer and get it done?' know that i've been staring at a wall unaware that i'm alive for the last 3 hours. you think i can make heads or tails of walt whitman rn????

The last and only time he’d heard that voice was after Jake’s funeral, a few fresh months ago, but he’s almost positive that was just an auditory hallucination borne from his grieving, wobbly mental state.

I meant to do my regular I'M IN LONDON posts, but then didn't. I arrived late on my first day, on my second day I stood outside for a long time and needed to thaw, and on day three I had a migraine. Yesterday, my journey home was *insane*.

But I was in London (yay!) and I saw Jodi Whittaker in The Duchess (of Malfi). Very interesting play that makes you think about the patriarchal structures in society. Jodi is super sweet and while she didn't sign things, she talked to people at the stage door, took selfies and even hugged people.

The day before The Duchess, I watched The Importance of Being Earnest. It was the first performance actually! It was so good. I hope this play will be super popular, because wow, I enjoyed it so much.

Ncuti Gatwa is a sweetheart, too, by the way. He did sign programmes and omg, I can't believe this happened, but when he signed mine, he like looked at me and was like, "are you okay?" I was freezing, but I hadn't been aware how obvious that was apparently 😂

Anyway, just a little update. I love London, which is the quintessence of everything, isn't it?

raps & eugene always match(sometimes if rapunzel can persuade her, cassie will match too), same w hugo and varian, but all of them dont go trick-or-treating, usually they stay home and give out candy or go to raps' party lol(or both depending on how theyre feelinh yk). when theyve done the trio, i cant stop thinking about cass, eugene, and raps beinh the mean girls trio... like regina, karen, and gretchen😭🙏 and hugo and varian have probably done nerdy ones(or, hear me out, seymore & audrey || from little shop of horrors)

frs, lance & the girls probably go as a big trio, or the girls do completely different costumes and lance just wears a funny halloween shirt(or dresses up as a character he likes), kiera has been a ninja turtle at least once(i feel like shed like tmnt idk...) and catalina was batman one year and everyone kept complementing her

Yes absolutely Rapunzel and Eugene always do cutesy couples costumes, and she makes them herself so they’re always high quality and perfect. She posts them on insta and everyone is jealous. (They absolutely did do Bridgerton one year and she looked like a goddess.) Maybe I’m just a big nerd, but I feel like they’d do a lot of historical couples costumes. They definitely did Hades and Persephone one year.

I honestly can’t see Varian being the type to dress up unless he’s forced (by Rapunzel), same with Hugo. But sometimes they’ll do half-assed couples costumes if they go to Rapunzel’s party. It’s usually just a thrift store cosplay lmao. One year they did Gatsby and Daisy because the guy who plays Gatsby on Broadway sounds a lot like Varian for some reason…. Varian probably dressed up as a bunch of scientists barely anyone even knows of as a kid, though. (I feel like it would be really funny if New Dream and Varigo dressed as eachother one year hehe.)

Lance, I think he either just wears a Halloween t-shirt or he coordinates costumes with the girls, because I feel like they’d want to match sometimes. And if not, maybe he just puts on a fun mask. I feel like he goes all out for Raps’ parties though. He definitely has dressed as David Bowie on multiple separate occasions.

Cat absolutely went through a wolf phase. And did dress up as a wolf, a lot. Kiera dressed as a vampire one year to match her.

Cass doesn’t dress up unless she’s forced both mentally and physically. (She dressed up as Joan Of Arc for three straight Halloweens as a kid. And then Artemis for another three.)

AFK Arena - Forbidden Family Odyssey AU !

Premise:

The Invasion upon Gavus and Eugene's family home proved... semi-successful. Eugene had been captured, and Liberta was acquired quickly by the Goddess, Morgana, but Gavus managed to escape with Lucilla. 10 years later, imprisoned, Eugene catches wind of a suspicious lack of guards. Using his wits, and some of his power, Eugene broke out and began his run for home.

Unluckily... He runs right into a Commander Dawn and the kid's Adventurer companion, and that's only the START of his bad luck on this journey. Let's hope that this journey home doesn't take a ridiculously long time! (It does.) (Horrendously so.)

Eugene (and somewhat Liberta) - Odysseus's role

Gavus - Penelope

Lucilla - Telemachus

The idea is that Eugene and Liberta were both taken when Conrad and Morgana made an... oh-so "civil" visit to the family home. Liberta, who has no memories unsealed because he never fought Lucilla, is taking the company of soldiers back home with the Adventurer he befriended when they run into Eugene. After a brief fight, Liberta and the Adventurer put 2 and 2 together and realize this is the same Eugene from the diary, and they propose to help him get home (much to the issue of .... literally every soldier there but that comes up later<3)

Essentially, this AU will focus on four-ish storylines... sort of?:

Eugene's story on getting home, his journey back to his family and all the perils it will have.

Liberta's story on finding out who he is, because Lucilla never fought Liberta, undoing the seal is taking a long ass time. He will be named "Commander Dawn" until a certain point in this AU

Gavus's story on protecting Lucilla, since the Hypogeans didn't really stop after they didn't get their Weapon.

Lucilla's story on finding out where her brother and father are, since she wants to see her papa happy again, and he's always looking mournfully at a red diary.

Will I make a fanfic ??? Possibly !!! It's sitting in my mind a lot and I have a bit of the story figured out, but I also might just leave this as a Tumblr-only AU where I just occasionally post content for it instead depending on where my whims take me.

Now, there is a whole lot more planned out for this AU [just not... indetail bUT I HAVE BARE BONES] so if you have any questions, I am more than happy to answer!

My doctor has been pretty cool and worth the hour/20$ Uber to get to her because she's always listened to me and explained the why of things, but I guess I didn't realize I had never worn a critical role shirt to see her (I usually pick out a cr shirt specifically for doctor visits ever since the spider bite. A comfort thing, I guess I decided to leave it behind) and she walked in and the first thing she said was "love your shirt" and I just. Yeah she was already great but that was such a neat little "!!!" on my end.

sumatriptan + pain meds + a massage from rafi relieved the migraine enough for me to clean up after dinner, do dishes, take out the trash, do my PT, and shower. so basically i became a functional person. except that now instead of my usual cheerful jock mentality, i'm going, "oh god. i literally have to do a fucking baseline of 30 to 90 minutes of exercise every fucking day for the rest of my fucking life until i fucking die. and i literally can't slack off about it like normal people can because if i do then my body will wreck its entire shit on purpose for fun bc it fucking hates me. i am in purgatory and/or hell forever and i hope death comes to take me sooner rather than later because oblivion is better than this eternal imprisonment"
