So for those who don't know, I make chainmail as a hobby/half-assed side hustle. I'll probably be posting a little more about that as I ease my way into 'what even is social media for selling shit' because even though this is Tumblr and the term 'algorithm' doesn't apply here it's still dipping my toe in the water, as it were.

Anyway

All that is to say that I was dicking around yesterday making a few maille-men [listen I love me a good visual pun] and because I have been on a DC Green Lantern kick I decided to try and make Hal.

And, uh.

Then I had to make the other three to keep him company.

edward almost made it to 18 years. he was the best boy i could've asked for, and i'm so lucky he was in my life for so long. i miss his little paws clicking around on the floor, his whine when i'd come home, hiding treats around the house and watching him sniff around and dig them out. i miss him licking my floor and leaving it wet and sticky (gross), hearing his little barks when he dreamt, how he'd rub his body on the furniture and then run to his bed to dig and shove his face under the blankets. how he'd throw his body into a spin when i'd make a circle motion. i miss the weight of his little head on my leg when he laid next to me. i miss sitting in the backyard and enjoying the sun with him.

this has been absolutely soul crushing. the quietness is gutting me. i don't really know what to do with myself. i'm gonna miss him forever.
