what happens after the reveal?

Peter tries to give him some space- but manages to go about a day before he runs after Wade. Unfortunately, it turns out that Wade can really disappear if he puts his mind to it.

After a solid week of running himself ragged, Spider-Man finally finds Wade and they solve their problems the traditional way, with an (almost) no-holds barred near-death match.

It's not smooth sailing afterwards, but they're on tentative speaking terms. Peter's still got a lot of groveling to do.

The other thing about Sam being such a teenager - a headcanon that is nonetheless supported by many canon elements - is that her being a baby activist is... not necessarily a good thing.

It's very promising in the long run! It shows that she cares about other people, she cares about ethics, and she is trying very hard to think about her impact on the world, and those are all good things.

But she's also extremely bossy, extremely self-righteous, and when you're a fourteen year old with two best friends that just... aren't very good at asserting themselves, it makes it really, really easy to hurt people by accident. I think, given what we see about Sam and how she interacts with them, it would be easy for her to dismiss them as Boys™️ and therefore The Oppressor Class.

Because Sam... kind of reads like a terminally online Tumblr kid. And that wasn't an archetype that existed in the 2000's, obviously, but Sam fits it to a T. She seems like someone that would know all the terminology, who would know who all the 'oppressor' classes and all the 'victims' were, who would be really into identity politics in the way where she weaponizes them, because she's fourteen and nuance is still hard for her.

She seems, in other words, like someone who would chew Danny out for using the word 'dysphoria' if he wasn't trans (but was maybe trying to find a word for why his body post-portal felt so bad sometimes.) Like she would demand room to express her emotions without remembering to give Tucker and Danny room for theirs, because they're Boys (even though Tucker is black and Danny is abused and getting space for their emotions is just as hard for them.) Like she would have a list of Social Justice Facts that she applies uncritically, and won't realize what she's doing for years.

And to be honest, I think this would be a really fun character arc for Sam! The sort of thing I would have loved to see in canon. Where she realizes, suddenly, how much she talks over people, how much she talks over her friends, and that maybe sometimes she's... not right, even though she knows All The Right Words.

(But until she realizes that, I also think that Sam could do a lot of damage to Danny and his guilt complex in particular.)

no but really, I think it fits him really well! I had thought his UM would probably involve something kinda sleight-of-handy or pickpockety! and I looooved that it made such a nice loop-around back to episode 1. ❤️ I was. kind of half-expecting him to just run out and punch Riddle in the nose again. but instead this time 'twas he who offed the queen's head! it was great! and he did it while stone-cold terrified out of his mind! because Ace is the only remotely normal or well-adjusted person at NRC and therefore the only one who is like "we're going to literally die, this is super effed up". but he did it anyway!!!! I AM SO PROUD

so much happened in this whole episode but i’m still on fig infiltrating ruben’s dream, making it look like the place where his friend was murdered, and then disguising herself as kipperlilly & repeatedly saying different variants of “somebody needs to take the fall for this, and it’s not going to be me. it’s going to be you.” while adaine as the elven oracle shows up next to her. can you imagine waking up from that, the idea of a horrible truth being pinned on you by your friend to save her own skin while the personification of fate and destiny stands there, almost as a promise that this is GOING to happen to you. we don’t even know if this kid is guilty. my god.

IMP's Realization & Wake Up Call

All of IMP have just been sentenced to death.

I want you to notice how Loona, Millie, and Moxxie are just staring at shock about the fact that all of them are just about to die.

During the entire time the rest of IMP are staring at horror on their impending death, none of them notice Blitz is struggling and looking only at them.

I want to make this very clear, Blitz is only looking at them. He doesn't care about his own safety at this moment, he just NEEDS to make sure his family is safe.

Millie, Moxxie, and Loona have just been grabbed by the enforcers...

"NO!" Blitz screams this at the top of his lungs, and he looks absolutely petrified.

Suddenly, all of IMP's attention is turned towards Blitz for the first time as Blitz speaks and makes his desperate case.

Notice how Moxxie turns to Millie with a look of utter confusion and bewilderment, even Millie herself looks just as concerned.

Millie and Moxxie are not expecting this sort of action from Blitz.

Blitz is floundering, twiddling his hands nervously, thinking of whatever he can say to stop this event from unfolding.

Blitz is met with Satan's fury and Yogirt intervenes to calm him down.

"Look all that Hell is going to see, is you executing imps who are just trying to do their job! I'm the rogue here, not them!"

Blitz makes his final plea to save the rest of IMP, and I want to point out how Blitz purposely stands tall, sticks his chest out and everything. Blitz is doing whatever he can to make himself appear big, to make himself look like a leader.

Moxxie has spent the entire trial trying to defend Blitz to the best of his ability, but even he is not expecting this.

When Moxxie asks Blitz what he's doing, he steps forward and grips the stone table. his voice is concerned. I want you to also notice how Loona looks so surprised by Blitz's actions to the point even her ears are sticking up.

Moxxie makes one last desperate plea to Satan, and he looks like he's about to burst at any minute. Moxxie is panicking.

Blitz tells him to stop vouching for him, and this is when you hear Moxxie's voice start to quiver. He's terrified right now, he doesn't want to let Blitz go.

The camera pans to Loona as Blitz makes his final request for M&M to watch over her when he's gone.

The moment Moxxie is given his last request this is when the waterworks fall, and he says the words, "No, I can't look, Millie!"

I love Millie's face of pure strength, you can tell that she's upset, but she knows she has to be the one to keep it together. Millie knows that one of them has to be the strong one, so she carries that burden like a champ.

Blitz is chained and forced to the floor on the pedestal of death, he's visibly hyperventilating and his eyes widen the moment he sees the scythe that's about to meet his demise...

The moment the scythe is raised above Blitz's head, Moxxie turns his his head away in tears and Millie can't help but look scared. Loona whimpers, turns away as her eyes tear up, and her ears are pointed downwards.

And Millie... takes on the burden in making sure she watches Blitz's final moments, so he could be there for him one last time. They really are best friends till the end.

I love how at peace Blitz looks in this moment, he's made a lot mistakes in his life, but there isn't a look of regret in his decision.
